ALEJANDRO SERRANO
How much can one girl drink? He couldn't help but think to himself as he watched a brunette throwing back shot after shot, having been dared to by her small group of friends. He was watching more out of curiosity and astonishment rather than judgement.
Abraham's bar was a completely different scene to Abraham's bakery. He was convinced that he preferred the former. He must have left his partying days back in his twenties.
Drawing his eyes away, he bowed his head as he sat at the bar, sipping his bourbon. It probably wasn't the most popular drink and had raised an eyebrow when he ordered it from the bartender, Chris, but he didn't care. Dressed in his suit, he stood out like a sore thumb, not that he cared all that much.
Hailey had banished him to a corner, declaring it to be a girl's night.
Alejandro had tried to argue that girl's night didn't apply to bodyguards, but when she sent him a sharp look which promised a lot of pain, he chose to listen to her orders. He wasn't happy about it, but he wasn't in the mood to have a screaming woman ruin his night.
He complied but was sure to stay within reach in case Layla needed him or he needed to get to her in a hurry. If he pushed past all the swaying, sweaty gyrating bodies on the dance floor, he was confident he could reach her in 7 seconds.
His eyes scanned over his surroundings.
Alejandro had initially been surprised when he found out that Abraham's doubled as a bar during the evenings, but he hadn't quite expected this.
The target audience consisted of mostly legal college students who were regulars, frequenting Abraham's a few nights a week, even more so on weekends.
There also appeared to be a birthday party present today, one of them having just turned 21; the legal drinking age. They ordered the most drinks and were currently in the middle of playing beer pong on the other side of the room. The drinks sloshed over the floor as the balls landed in them, but they had all come from the bar and must have cost a lot, even if they had ordered the cheapest alcohol Chris stocked.
Either way, it was good for business.
On the other side of the room there was a work party where colleagues got loose together and let their hair down. He was also pretty sure that their boss was with them.
While she called it a bar, it appeared to be more of a club. Smaller in size and with less patrons, but a club nonetheless.
It had far exceeded all his expectations, but not as much as she did.
The beautiful blonde that had recently captured his every attention and taken over his every thought was currently rooted in the middle of the dance floor, dancing sensually against her friend. She had her eyes closed and was dancing freely, either unaware or uncaring of those around her. Just happy and content to let her hair down after a long day at work.
Watching her move, her expression sultry and her movements almost erotic; he reached down to readjust himself in his jeans.
He had never seen her like this before, so open and care free. If he wasn't on the job then he would knock back his drink and go over there, place his hands on her hips and allow the sensual movements of her body to lead him.
After that kiss today, he could think of nothing better than going over there and pulling her into his arms. He wanted nothing more than to take her home, throw her down on the bed and ravage her body early into the morning. He would only stop if she begged for him to, her pussy quivering and clenching almost painfully from the multitude of orgasms that he would deliver her.
But that would have to wait until their supposed girl's night ended and then he would be subject to Hailey's wrath.
When he felt a warm body press up against his side, he glanced up, momentarily distracted from his innermost thoughts and desires.
An ebony woman with dark hair and chocolate brown eyes smiled at him with her perfect white teeth, pouty mouth and a seductive look in her eyes. One that rivalled even a temptress'.
She could probably get any man in this bar to go home with her, yet she chose him.
"What are you drinking?"
He didn't bother glancing up, his eyes still trained on a particular blonde. "Bourbon."
"That's a strong drink."
He merely hummed in response.
"What's a guy like you doing all alone at the bar?" She trailed a hand over his arm, resting it on his shoulder.
He glanced at it, a silent warning to remove her hand from his body, but she merely shot him her most seductive smile.
"I like the peace."
She giggled. "Then you're in the wrong place, handsome." She referred to the tavern that they were in. "How about you and I get out of here?"
His eyebrows shot up at that. "I don't think so."
"Why not?"
"I'm here with someone." Technically, he kind of was, just not in the way he wanted it to be.
"So?" She flipped her hair over her shoulder, the strands brushing against his neck and face in the process, before leaning in closer. He was sure that she had done it on purpose. Her shampoo didn't smell like flowers. A sweet vanilla, but not flowers. "Doesn't mean you have to leave with them."
"I don't think so. Sorry." He repeated.
"Come on," she trailed her hands down his cheek, her finger stopping at the corner of his mouth. "Why don't we go have some fun?"
Alejandro grunted and raised his drink to his mouth before turning his body, over with the conversation already.
Annoyed, she flipped her hair over her shoulder and stomped away. Literally, stomped away. He had to chuckle at that.
She had been attractive and he probably would have gone home with her any other night, but not tonight.
Tonight, she was not what he was looking for. Instead, Alejandro had his eyes set on a certain blonde who loved to cook and baked for a living, one which was currently making her way to the bar, weaving through the crowd of bodies.
Her eyes had been set on him and the woman that had momentarily attached herself to his side as she made her way through the crowd, but when they connected with his, she made sure to shoot him a look of distaste and look away.
Alejandro watched as Layla leaned forward on the bar and grinned at the man behind it. She was stilled dressed in the top from this morning, but she had ditched the apron and switched the black jeans for a black mini skirt that Hailey had handed her, having orchestrated this whole night. A pair of heeled ankle boots adorned her feet, making it appear as if her legs went on for days, as if they didn't tease him enough.
He remembered when those legs were wrapped around him, pulling his body into hers and rubbing her core over his wanton cock.
Once again that night, he cursed Hailey.
Over the course of the week, he had grown fond of the woman – even if she was annoying at times – and had even expressed his desire to meet Max, her son. When Layla had volunteered them to watch over Max sometime next week so Hailey could get a night off, he found himself looking forward to it.
If the woman hadn't been so adamant about spending quality time with Layla, he would have dragged her off for a passionate night of love making by now.
"What can I get for you, boss?" Chris, the bartender asked her.
"A lemonade for now." She grinned at him. "I need to pace myself. I'm already feeling the buzz."
He raised his bourbon to grab her attention. "You don't want something stronger?"
"Not from you." She shot him a scowl.
When Chris placed a glass on the bar and filled it up with lemonade, she smiled her thanks and turned around. Before she could get away, he reached out a hand and pinched the bottom of her skirt, trapping her both her and the thin material between his two fingers.
Layla shot him a dark look over her shoulder. "Let go of me."
"I'm not holding you." He smirked. "You're free to walk away if you want." If she wanted, she could easily pull away and the pinch of the skirt he was holding would slip through his fingers.
She could move away from him if she really wanted to, but she didn't.
"Let go of my skirt."
Alejandro merely grinned in response. "Make me." He challenged her.
A deep frown on her face, she placed her drink down on the bar and reached down to grab the bottom of her skirt, careful not to lift the material too high. She didn't plan on flashing anyone tonight.
Well, just one person. Him. But not here and night right now. She would reward him later behind closed doors, and without multiple curious eyes watching them.
She slapped at his hand and when that didn't work, she gripped the material and pulled it hard. His fingers let go of her skirt, allowing the material to slip through his fingers.
She was now free to go, but instead of walking away like she had initially planned, she found herself walking closer to him, only coming to a stop when she was stood between his legs as he sat on the stool.
Oh, how the roles had reversed.
He reached up and placed his hands on her hips, pulling her even closer.
Alejandro pulled her into him, so close that he turned his head and pressed it into her stomach, just under her full, ample breasts which looked especially glorious in the blouse that she had chosen to cover them with.
Layla sighed and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, playing with his hair.
It had been a long day.
"What do you want from me?" He whispered against the bare skin of her midriff from the blouse that she wore. He really liked what she was wearing today. It gave him easy access to touch her whenever he wanted.
"What are you willing to give me?" She retorted, answering his question with a question of her own.
"Anything and everything, beautiful." He lightly pressed his lips against her exposed skin. Warmth spread through her body at the heartfelt action. "I'll give you everything you want."
"I don't want everything." She raked her fingers through his hair, her nails scratching slightly at his scalp. He closed his eyes at the sensation.
"I just want you."
"You can have me. In any way you want." He chuckled.
Alejandro wasn't used to chasing women but with Layla, he found himself ready to do anything and everything if it meant keeping her by his side or in his arms. It was wrong of him to take advantage of his position as her personal bodyguard, but at that moment, he couldn't bring himself to care.
He just wanted her. However little or much she was willing to give.
Her. That was all that mattered.
Just her and only her.
To the people around them, they were just a strange sight. Hugging at the corner of the bar, their drinks abandoned, but neither of them cared.
This moment was far too precious to care what others thought.
"Are you going to get in trouble?"
He pulled back slightly to gaze into her eyes, confused. "What do you mean?"
She frowned slightly. "You're my bodyguard. Are you going to get in trouble for being with me?"
"Only if we're found out."
"You want to risk it?"
"I'll risk a whole lot more for you."
"Am I worth it?" She asked hesitantly, holding his eyes, looking for the truth in his pale greys.
"Beautiful," a guttural groan passed his lips. "You're worth much more than this, and I'll show you. Every day. If you'll let me."
She bit her lip. "We have to be careful."
He grinned and tugged on her hips, finally pulling her into his lap. "Beautiful, I'm your bodyguard. You won't be safer with anyone else."
Layla looped her arms around his neck and leaned down to give him a sweet kiss. He opened his mouth and welcomed her affection, sucking gently on her tongue. When she hummed in pleasure, he sucked harder.
"Break it up you two!" A chipper voice spoke to them.
They pulled apart to find Hailey grinning at them both with a knowing look. She had her arm looped around some guy's waist who had his wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her into his side. He offered them both a polite smile, still sober.
"I'm afraid lady's night has come to an end."
Layla eyed the pair before standing up and pulling her friend away slightly for some privacy, though she could feel both men staring at their backs. "You going home with that guy?"
Hailey grinned. "That's the plan."
"Be careful, okay?"
She nodded. "I will. You too."
"And use protection." She smiled softly. "Unless you want to give Max a sibling."
"I could say the same thing about you." She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.
Layla grinned. She wasn't going to deny her plans for the rest of the night.
Once Hailey had left to spend the night with her mystery guy, she returned to the bar where Alejandro was waiting for her patiently, a new glass of bourbon on the bar in front of him.
"What do you say?" He stood up and leaned in, trailing his mouth up the curve of her neck. "You ready to leave?"
She smiled coyly at him before picking up his glass of bourbon. She raised it to her mouth and he watched in awe as her tongue slithered out and licked against the rim of the glass he had previously pressed his lips against, leaving behind a faint imprint, before raising it and knocking back the remainder of the liquid courage. She would need more than courage tonight if she wished to last a whole night with a man as sinfully sexy as him.
That was answer enough for him.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the bar behind him.
They had unfinished business that urgently needed attending to.
