"Well, Sakura, you're finally eighteen and are able to go out on your own. You no longer need to attend this orphanage." The black haired girl is told by her now former social worker. Sakura sighs and twirls a lock of her blue highlights and nods her head. She wants nothing more than to get out of there and make her own life in the adult world.

"So can I go?" Sakura questions, casting her blue eyes to the social worker who sighs and nods her head. Sakura makes a relieved sound and ties her flannel shirt around her waist and heads out into the world with the money she's earned with her part time jobs.

"Master Alec, I've located your next sacrifice. She just recently got out of the orphanage and has found a cheap apartment to live in." Hare says hoping into Alec's tea time. Alec flings a butcher knife at Hare, pinning him against the wall.

"Not during tea time." Alec says annoyed as he sips his tea. He finishes after awhile and unpins hair from the wall. His body drops limp and black blood stuffing spills from his body. Alec blinks unamused.

"Pull yourself together, and tell me about. . .about. . .what's her face." Alec tells Hare who tries to put his stuffing back in. Although, he knows Alec is just being rude. He already knows the names of his sacrifices. Hare pulls out a wire spool and chomps off a piece of it then stitches himself back together.

"Well, this is her address, Master. She'll be awaiting her death, like her family before her." Hare says as his grin spreads out wider. Alec smirks and recalls having had murdered the Atashi family. He turns back and heads for the table, grabbing his top hat and putting it on.

"Well, then I'm off to go play with Sakura Atashi." Alec says, leaving Hare in the tea room. Hare tries to go after him, but the iron doors close on his face, letting him know that Alec doesn't feel like having him come along. He pouts and then hops over to clean up Alec's tea set.

Sakura sits up from her couch and looks towards the front door as she hears a knock. She gets up with a grunt and goes to the door.

"Ye-" She pauses as she sees a handsome man with red bangs and brown hair. He smiles kindly at her and waves at her.

"Hi, I'm Alec. Your next door neighbor. I just wanted to come say hello and welcome you to apartment." He says to her and then puts his hands into his pocket. Sakura blushes a bit as she continues to look at this kind man at her door.

"Uh, I-I'm Sakura Atashi. Nice to meet you, Alec." She says giving him a slight smile. The other people that had come to greet her before were treated rudely by her, but she can't help feel that this man is different. She clears her throat and stands around awkwardly.

"So, you wanna come in for a drink?" Sakura questions him, twirling a lock of her blue highlights. Alec smiles a closed eye smile.

"Do you have tea?" He questions her. Sakura nods and moves so he can come in. Alec goes in and looks around the bare apartment. He can tell that she hasn't been there long by only the few necessities she has there.

"Sorry, I just moved in so I don't have much. Have a seat and I'll bring you some tea." Sakura says and Alec takes a seat, looking around at the cheap apartment with disgust. He's used to the riches in his little world.

"I hope you like spearmint tea. Sorry I don't have anything but plastic silverware and Styrofoam plates and cups." Sakura says as she hands him the Styrofoam cup. Alec takes it and looks at the tea bag in the cup, changing the clear water into a clear brown.

"Don't worry about it. Tea is tea." Alec says, blowing cool air into the cup and taking a sip. Sakura stares at him as he drinks his tea, biting her lower lip a few times with longing. A longing she can't seem to explain.

Alec pretends not to notice and smirks into his tea cup.

"The pieces have been set." He thinks to himself and continues to drink his tea until he finishes it and looks up at Sakura. She jumps as he catches her staring.

"Uh, sorry. I-"

"Say, Sakura, would you like to go out with me some time?" Alec says, interrupting her apology. Sakura blushes and clears her throat.

"S-sure, how does tomorrow sound? At seven?" She questions him. Alec nods his head and Sakura looks at him happily.

"Good, I'll come for you tomorrow." Alec says and then rises from his seat, and walking up to her. Sakura tenses as he leans down and kisses her cheek. His eyes flash crimson for a moment away from her line of view and he pulls back with normalcy back in his eyes.

"Bye, Sakura." He says and heads out, leaving Sakura standing there dumbfounded.

"See you tomorrow." She says as her door closes.

It has been over a week since their first time going out and Sakura's crush has only grown on Alec. Of course his plans have gone accordingly the further she falls for him.

"Time to get out of this dump. Time to kill you and end this game." Alec says as he walks over towards Sakura's apartment. He knocks only once and Sakura answers the door in an instant. She greets Alec with a hug, but like usual he only pats her head. Although, to Sakura it seems a little colder than usual.

"You okay, Alec? Don't you like my outfit?" Sakura questions pulling back and showing off her black crop top with a sunflower on it, black skinny jeans, and dark blue converse on her. Alec looks at her with a smirk.

"I thought you liked lilac lilies." Alec says looking at her hair. Sakura looks at him confused, she truly doesn't understand his change in behavior.

"Alec, you're acting kinda weird." Sakura says, feeling a shiver of dread in her. Her gut keeps screaming for her to run, but she isn't listening to it.

"Life is a game, and you lost." He says and looks up at her with red eyes. Sakura screams and falls back, crawling away from him. Alec steps on her ankle making her scream as he crushes it.

"They're not lilies, but they're a lovely purple." Alec says pulling out a wolfsbane flower seemingly out of thin air. Sakura screams and look at him with tear stained eyes. Alec drops the petals into her hair and drops the steam and roots into her mouth. He closes her mouth over it and hears her struggling. He smirks as the poison starts to take effect.

"Why so serious?" He questions her with a dark smirk. Sakura stares at him with betrayal and anger before her world becomes darker and the pain in her begins to dull. The last thing she sees is Alec's true face, the face of evil.

Sakura's blue eyes snap open and she sits up abruptly. Looking at her leg that is fully healed. She wonders now if everything that happened was only a nightmare. But the moment her waist length hair spills over her shoulders she sees no longer her black hair with blue highlights, but a liliac colored hair.

"So, he really is a monster. A beautiful monster who gave me new life." She glares ahead, feeling sorrow and anger that he never actually cared about her. He only played her like a toy and changed her once he got bored of her.

"Life is a game, and Sakura lost." She says and looks at her lilac hair. "Foolish girl, now it's The Lilac Figure that will play the game. And she won't lose." She says, her smile spreading into a dark smirk. She looks up to the ceiling of her apartment.

"But even if you betrayed me, I can't seem to betray you, Alec."
