Kianna's POV

Me and Jason were slow dancing. Because Sonic and Amy forced us to.

"Here, follow my lead." Jason told me. "One, two, three, step. One, two, three..." I didn't hear what he said as I concentrated on his feet and copied his every move. Man, this is actually kinda fun. "You there? Kianna? You ok?"

"Uh, yeah. Just zoned out for a sec." He smiled.

"Wanna have some fun?"

"By fun do you mean eat the treats at the table?"

"No, they're all gone. Wanna do something even MORE fun?"  I nodded as the song ended. "Let's disappear into the night." He lead me away. We left through the front door and snuck away, avoiding all the guards. We hid until the guards passed us, then we kept going. "We're here." He told me, stopping at a wall.

"What?" I asked, confused. Then he picked me up and climbed up the wall. He got to a balcony and put me down.

"Let's watch the stars, shall we?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Yes."

We leaned in to kiss. Our lips were almost touching when...

"There's an ambush! Everybody must get to the ball room! Now!" A guy said, coming out of nowhere.

"Ambush? From who?" I asked.

"Long time no see, Kianna..." I turned around to see Shadow.

"Eep!" The guy said, then he ran. I backed up from Shadow as he walked towards me. Jason got in front of me and growled.

"If you want her, you're going to have to get through me first." Jason said.

"Easy." Shadow scoffed. He picked up Jason and threw him against the wall.

"JASON!!" I shouted. I ran over to him and crouched next to him.

"I'm ok..." He told me. Then Shadow picked me up and threw me against the wall. Then he kicked Jason several times and threw him to the ground again. He pinned him down and punched him repeatedly. I ran over and grabbed Shadow and threw him to the wall. He growled and ran at me. He tried to grab me but I dodged it. I grabbed him and threw him at the railings of the balcony. He teleported behind me and threw me at the railings. I nearly fell. I watched Shadow as he walked towards me. He had a knife in his hand.

"Say goodbye, Princess..." Shadow told me, raising the knife. I covered my eyes and prepared for the worse.

"NOBODY CALLS HER PRINCESS BESIDES MEEEE!!!" Jason shouted. I heard a thump and uncovered my eyes to see that Jason threw Shadow against the wall. Shadow attacked him and Jason dodged, but he was slashed in the arm with the knife. He started bleeding. He growled and tackled Shadow to the ground. Shadow kept slashing him with the knife. Shadow threw Jason off of him. Jason panted as Shadow headed towards him. I attacked Shadow.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!! YOU CAME FOR ME!!" I shouted, kicking Shadow 'where the sun doesn't shine'. He fell to the ground.

"Use your wings, Princess... You need to get your lovebug away from here... He's hurt. But please remember, I will find you and I WILL kill you..." Shadow said, then he got up and turned away from me. "It'd be a shame if your boyfriend died because of YOU..." I growled and threw him over the railings which caught him by surprise. He screamed as he fell. I threw off my leather jacket to reveal my rainbow wings.

"Hang in there, Jason. I've got you..." I told Jason as he groaned. "You're so brave..." He gave me a little smile. I picked him up and flapped my wings. I flew towards the woods, hoping to find a cave or something to hide in and take care of Jason. Soon, I found a cave. I headed towards it, but my wings started giving out. I never used them in a long while. Suddenly, I felt a huge surge of pain go through my wings. Then I started falling. "Hang in there, Jason!" I told him. We harshly fell to the ground. Jason groaned. I sighed as I realized that the cave was still quite a distance away. I grabbed Jason's legs and dragged him to the cave, hoping he'd be ok.

"Kianna... Go..." He told me.

"No, Jason. I'm not leaving you..." I brought him into the cave. Then I left and found some water, nuts, and leaves. I came back and fed Jason the nuts. He gobbled them up. "This might hurt a bit..." I told him. I put water on his cuts and he hissed in pain. One cut by one, I cleaned them out with water and wrapped them with a leaf. I left the stab and slash cuts for last. They stun way worse. I wrapped them up in leaves and then made him a blanket and pillow out of leafs. He fell asleep as I smiled, smoothing down his quills. "Please, let help be on the way..." I said quietly. "I don't know how long Jason can last..." It soon got really cold and I shivered. Jason wasn't shivering, so that's good. "Sleep tight, Jason. Help's probably on the way... Hopefully..." So much for our little star watching thing. We ended up in a cave.
