3rd Pov

(Y/n) woke up screaming and sweating. She started to recall her dream no not a dream an event which actually happened because she was there. (Y/n) sobbed for Cass and everyone. Seeing a good friend of hers gone now. That weird blurry figure was basically pulling strings, (Y/n) felt as if the black rocks were still there piercing through her body.

(Y/n) refused to sleep for the rest of the night. At the start of the morning (Y/n) got her clothes on and ran to the castle and asked Stan to go in which he let me as she ran to Rapunzel's room and started to pound on the door furiously. "RAPUNZEL OPEN UP PLEASE!" Rapunzel opened the door confused and tired "(Y/n)!? What's wrong?" "I-I-I need everyone to come so I can talk I-I have something very important to say!" "O-oh okay I'll get Lance and Eugene you can take Max to Old Corona and get Varian"

(Y/n) nodded and ran to the stable to find "Max! I need you to take my to Old Corona quickly!" He galloped to Old Corona and stopped at Varian's door. I pounded on the door quickly once again. "VARIAN OPEN PLEASE!" Varian opened the door and yawned looking at (Y/n) worried at her plea. "What's wrong?" "I-I need everyone to listen to me I-I-I can't tell you now just please follow me to the castle" "Okay let me get ready"

Varian went back in and quickly put on his clothes on. He opened the door "Okay let's go"

Lance, Eugene and Rapunzel were sitting down eating breakfast. (Y/n) slammed the door open with Varian beside her "So, (Y/n) what did you want to talk about?" Rapunzel was tired but tried her best to be empathetic for (Y/n). "I-I..." (Y/n) was in such a rush to explain about her dreams but didn't know how to exactly tell them. Small black rocks started to gather around (Y/n), no one noticed it. "I- I couldn't sleep well a-and.." (Y/n) started to panic as her thoughts spiraled down. Sparks were starting to crackle in the air around (Y/n) and Lance ducked avoiding some sparks. "(Y/n)?" Rapunzel was cautious as she approached (Y/n) "What happened?" Varian noticed the rocks growing and put his hand on her shoulder "I-I-I couldn't sleep because I-I saw her" Rapunzel had an idea on exactly who she was talking about but still asked "Who?" "C-Cassandra"

Everything was silent now. Rapunzel's mood changed "What did you see?" Her voice was simmered with rage and (Y/n) became more frightened as her tone reminded her of Cass's voice when she realized she was there. The piercing of rocks from Cass came back, the black rocks around (Y/n) copied how Cassandra did it and it actually stung her. "(Y/n)!?" Varian was worried as he saw the rocks against her skin. "Rapunzel your scaring her" Rapunzel realized this and took a deep breath in and exhaled "I'm sorry (Y/n), I didn't mean to scare you" "No s-she was there and I-I tried talking to her but then- AH!" The rocks drew some blood "(Y/N)!" (Y/n) sobbed in fear and slightly opened her (e/c) eyes looking at Varian. "I-I didn't know a-and she- Ngh!" The blood spilled down and the rocks kept growing slowly digging into her flesh.

"STOP IT! STOP PLEASE!" (Y/n) shouted at the top of her lungs begging for the pain to go. But it didn't and that's what scared her "STOOOOP!" The sparks grew more and stung Eugene a bit. "Ow, guys we gotta help her, now!" "STOP IT PLEASE STOP I DON'T WANT THIS!" Varian put both hands on her shoulders and the rocks slightly went down giving him enough space to shift her to face him. "(Y/n) breath okay, look at my eyes and breath" The rocks rose back up but stopped before not hitting her again. She was breathing but shaking "I-I-I'm sorry" "(Y/n) don't worry about that just keep looking and breath, okay?" (Y/n) nodded and her breathing slowed making the rocks depart. (Y/n) closed her eyes and fell. Varian caught her before she hit the floor "(Y/n)?" His voice wavered in worry. Rapunzel could see (Y/n)'s chest move up and down but it was so slow it was very hard to notice "Varian she's alive but she may not be if we don't get her bandaged up" Varian picked (Y/n) gently and carried her to the medical room.

(Y/n) pov

What happened to me? A-And where am I? "Cassandra if you don't get a grip and use the hatred in you then you won't be able to win" Cassandra groaned and the black rocks grew larger than I've ever seen. No don't get distracted! I don't want to be here! Let me go please! "As you wish" It was silent I could barely hear someone whisper from behind.

I was gone it was pure darkness around now. At least I'll be alone now...

"Think again" I jumped away from the same whispering voice as before "Hello (Y/n) was it?" "I-" "You actually surprised me, I didn't know someone could just see what was happening with Cassandra and I. Didn't anyone teach you that it's rude to eavedrop?" "Not like I chose to" "So how did you manage to get here and do this?" "I already said, I don't know" "Liar" Her voice became sharp and whatever she looked like felt worse. "HOW. WERE. YOU. ABLE. TO. DO. THAT!" Her booming voice felt as if it cracked a nearby wall. Wait a wall? Maybe. I looked around and saw what I needed there was a crack in the ground where she once stood it seems but I still can't see her. I stomped on it hopefully hard enough.

"Where do you think you're going?!" "Away. From. You!" It crumbled and I fell to who knows where. I just know if feels empty as if even that stranger can't come here...

I shot up and quickly looked around to see a white medic room, guess I stopped freaking out when I passed out which makes sense. Do I have wrappings on my arms? Oh yes I do okay. "(Y/n)? GUYS SHE'S UP" Varian? He dropped a plate which had some snacks on it and ran to me giving me a tight squeeze. "Oh ow that hurts, Varian" He let go (Now I can breath) "Sorry" "Don't worry about it"

Rapunzel opened the door "(Y/n)! You're up, I'm so sorry if I hurt you by scaring you so much I didn't mean to!" "It's okay, I know how you feel about this situation" "Hey (Y/n)" Eugene had wrappings around his leg, where the spark I created hurt him "Eugene I'm so sorry" "Huh? This thing? Nah it doesn't hurt, all that matters is your safety right now" Lance ran in "(Y/n)!" Oh gosh he's squishing me "L-Lance please let go" "Oh I'm so sorry (Y/n)" He moved away and I was able to breath x2.

"How are you feeling?" "A little rattled but I've felt worse so.." I shrugged letting my sentence trail away. I can say that and yet my chest hurts I don't feel good at all but I don't want anyone to see that. Not ever.

I glanced at everyone and Varian he was staring at me...he might have already figured out my true feelings right now. He's smart like that.

"Anyways I think I can explain my dream er vision to you all" I don't want to but I can't let them down not now. "Only if you feel like it" Varian your so sweet, I'm sorry I'm lying to you but it'll make everyone better if I just say it. "I saw Cassandra it seems her powers aren't fully at the max yet, and she saw me when I spoke to her and she was upset, she knew I was with you Rapunzel and then she uh..well hurt me with the black rocks" I can't tell them about the other weird girl by Cass not yet. Not until I find out myself. She's connected to the Moonstone and it seems she doesn't know I have some of it's powers but she'll be suspicious if I keep entering on their conversation and especially when she realizes why Cassandra can't tap into some other powers. That's if Cassandra won't be able to... What should I do now? "(Y/n)" I looked to Varian he looks pretty sad, he knows I'm leaving something out but it doesn't seems he knows what I'm hiding. Sorry Varian.

"Are you okay (Y/n)?" What why would h- oh...I'm shaking and I didn't even notice it I look down at my shaking hands a spark crackled but dwindled. Why?

Why do I feel so empty now?

Varian walked beside me luckily I was excused from the medic room. I can feel his eyes basically glued to me. It's making me nervous now. If only I could get him to not be curious, heh that's like trying to keep him away from a science book or a chance to make alchemy mixture. He can't help but do it in the end. I spun on my heel turning to him and he froze "Varian" "Yes?"

What am I thinking? I can't tell him it could hurt him! "I love you" I walked away but he held onto my hand "Stop" No don't do it "Stop lying to me (Y/n) just tell me what's wrong?" What's wrong?

"Nothings wrong you dork" "Stop lying please!" I'm hurting him aren't I? He doesn't like it much when he can't figure things out I learned that over the years. "Please just tell me the truth" I can't. I want to but I can't do it not now...

I tug for him to release my hand and he does. I'm sorry "Varian" "Yes?" "Don't talk to me anymore" I'm so sorry.

I made the mistake of looking at him he looks so sad and shocked and he put his hand down.

I can feel the tears welling up and I ran.

Varian Pov

"Don't talk to me anymore" Those words cut worse then those rocks have. Why is she saying this? Did I go too far? I shouldn't have pressured her to tell me.

Before I knew it she left.

I walked alone the streets.

"Aw" I wasn't looking up I didn't even realize I bumped into someone "Sorry" I tried to rush past but whoever it is held onto me "Varian what's wrong kiddo? You look hurt" Eugene, I could talk to him it would be nice to do so. "Eugene can we talk?" "Of course after all we're Team Awesome" Yeah we are Team Awesome.

We sat in his room where Lance was eating some pastry again. "So what did you want to talk about Varian?" "(Y/n) got upset and told me to not talk to her anymore" I looked down feeling the pain go through my chest as I recounted the scene once again. "That doesn't sound like the (Y/n) we know" Eugene makes a point. "I know it doesn't which is why I'm so confused and hurt because she's the first girl I ever liked a-" "She's hiding something" Lance interrupted me and ate as he spoke "Probably another guy or something" "WHAT?! S-SHE'S NOT LIKE THAT THHOUGH" "As far as you know" "LANCE! Shush up! Your obviously not helping him!" "Oh sorry Kid I didn't mean it like that" "THEN WHY DID YOU SAY IT!?" Lance left.

"Varian don't listen to him he's delusional, but he's right about one thing she is hiding something just not all that other guy stuff. Did you notice when she started feeling off to you?" "U-um after we spoke in the medic room together about what she saw" "It seems like a classic case here of "Hiding something in order to protect you" here, I've done it before to Blondie and it didn't go well. Trust me Varian if it's one thing I know it's how to be handsome but it's also that relationships is about communication. It obviously seems that (Y/n) isn't ready to tell you something right now but trust me, I know the girl and she'll come around when she's ready. Until then the best thing you can do for her is comfort her and be patient"

That's one of the best things I heard Eugene ever say to me, and it was actually meaningful. "Thank you Eugene" "Anytime Kiddo"

(Y/n) Pov

I want to apologize, I want to run back into his arms and spill everything I know and let him it's not his fault because I know him well enough to know he'd blame himself for me being harsh to him.

What's wrong with me? Why am I trying so hard to not tell anyone? What am I so afraid of? I want to protect them for as long as I can. Heh ironic the Moonstone is the opposite of the Sun drop causing things to die around it and yet here I am.

3rd Pov

(Y/n) walked back to the castle not really thinking. Until she bumped into Varian and he quickly held onto her hand catching her before she could fall. It felt like the first time they met. (Y/n) and Varian were so young...and naïve.

"Varian" He lifted her up and hugged (Y/n) "I'm sorry I shouldn't have pressured you into talking, I should've just been patient just like how you are with me and yet I was so caught up in finding the answers I didn't take the time to think on how you truly felt about it" He sighed and (Y/n) spoke "I'm sorry I shouldn't have made you feel like it was your fault, I should've told you directly that I'm not ready to talk instead of just running off and being mean to you"

The two held each other and stayed silent. Their actions say so much then words when it came to these two. One completed the other. It was the bond which helped them feel whole.
