-Chapter Twelve-

Harry walked to his house after he apparated to the middle of the street to see that it was dead quiet and the front door was open a crack. Harry had about an hours long talk with Draco about how he needed to calm down and that now Harry knew what was going on that he would help and get the others to as well.

“Ginny?” he called.

Harry opened the door to see that no one was there. He took out his wand and walked inside.

“Ginny?” Harry demanded.

Harry went into the kitchen where he last saw his wife before he left for Draco’s. All he saw was James’s wand on the table on top of a note. Panicked, Harry took the note and unfolded it. He took in a large breath as he read: Be careful next time Potter. You and your family should try and figure us out. If you do we might spare them.

Albus grumbled when he was woken up by the two Gryffindor prefects at one o’clock in the morning. When he got out of his room with Scorpius he saw that Alice and Hugo were up as well. Albus gave a weak smile at Alice and then the two prefects led the four of them to Professor Longbottom’s office.

When Albus, Scorpius, Alice, and Hugo entered the Professor’s office Albus saw that Rose and Lily were up as well and still in their pajamas. The two Ravenclaw and two Slytherin prefects were waiting outside of the door. After Albus, Alice, Hugo, and Scorpius walked into the room the two Gryffindor prefects waited outside of the door after it was closed as well.

There were four empty chairs in front of the Professor Longbottom’s desk, but Professor Longbottom didn’t look happy. Behind Professor Longbottom was Professor Goyle and Professor Perks. Both the Ravenclaw and the Slytherin professor were standing behind Professor Longbottom. In fact Albus had never seen the professor look more worried then what he was now. Rose and Lily looked around to stare at them. Lily was on one side of the row of chairs while Lily was on the other.

“Miss. Break, Mr. Weasley, Mr. Malfoy, and Mr. Potter please sit.” Professor Longbottom told them.

After a slight nod they all sat down. Hugo sat beside his sister, Scorpius sat beside Hugo, Alice sat beside Scorpius. On one side of Albus was Alice and on the other was Lily. All of the students gave the Professors a weird look.

“I know that this is going to come as a shock. It’ll be a very large one. I know that. Hagrid has agreed to let you guys stay with him in his hut tonight and any other time that you want to see him. Or me or any of us professors.” Professor Longbottom said.

Albus started to feel a pit in his stomach. Lily gave him a side look and when he looked back she looked at Professor Longbottom again as if she was trying to hide it. Albus looked back at Professor Longbottom as well and asked, “what’s going on.”

“Did something happen to my mum?” Rose suddenly asked.

“Or mine?” Scorpius asked.

Professor Longbottom sighed, “Mr. and Miss. Weasley your mother is fine. I actually got a letter from your father and he says that Hermione is now back at home and is well.”

“Okay so then what’s going on?” Lily asked a little annoyed.

All three professors looked at each other with guilty faces and then they looked at their students.

“Mr. and Miss. Potter, your father has contacted us and told us that your mother and older brother James have been kidnaped.” Professor Longbottom said.

While everyone else was silent Albus stood up and both Albus and Lily yelled, “WHAT!”

“Please calm down.” Professor Longbottom tried.

“CALM DOWN! SOMEONE KIDNAPED OUR MUM AND BROTHER!” Albus yelled.

“Do you expect us to be happy and not yell when you tell us this news?” Lily asked.

Professor Longbottom sighed.

“Please. Sit down at least. This isn’t the only thing to tell you.” Professor Longbottom said.

Slowly Albus did so and Alice took his hand. He gazed at it and she gave him a sorry gaze before they looked back at the Professor.

“What else. Is someone dead?” Lily asked.

“No. Scorpius your father has also contacted us.” Professor Longbottom said, “your mother was kidnaped as well. She was taken the same day that someone tried to take you.”

All of the blood in Scorpius’s face left him. Alice immediately took Scorpius’s hand too.

“What? Why didn’t he say anything?! Why didn’t he tell me!” Scorpius asked.

“He told everyone that your mother was sick so that she wouldn’t get hurt. She has been having contact with your father through letters so that he knows that she is okay, but that is it. He didn’t want you to be in danger Scorpius. The letters told him that if he contacted the authorities that your mother would die.” Professor Longbottom explained.

“Then how come I know now. How come people know?!” Scorpius demanded.

“Your father never called onto the authorities. Only the Potter family and Weasley family know about his and they have sworn not to tell anyone else. They are going to be working together to find out where your mother, Ginny, and James are.” Professor Longbottom said, “all three of us Professors and Hagrid have also sworn not to tell anybody. It is now up to you guys not to tell anyone else. This involves Astoria Malfoy’s safety.”

All of them nodded and Lily then asked, “why is Alice here then?”

“Lily!” Albus hissed and then looked at his sister to see that she was in tears.

“I’m serious! She’s not apart of our family. She has no right to be here!” Lily growled.

“Your family is here Miss Potter because they are close to your mother and brother. Scorpius is here because this involves his mother as well. Considering that Alice has lived at your parents house for some years now I thought that she deserved to know as well.” Professor Longbottom said calmly.

“My parents aren’t worth to her! She just uses them for my room so that she won’t have to leave Hogwarts or live on the streets.” Lily hissed.

“That’s not true.” Alice said.

“Shut up Lily.” Albus said coldly.

“No! I let our parents push me around and I can’t go home because she is living in my room! She doesn’t deserve to be in that house! She doesn’t deserve to even know us! I’ve been pushed around all of my life by you and the rest of our family, but I will not let Alice come in and think that she is so high and mighty to come here!” Lily yelled.

“She’s not doing anything.” Albus told his sister.

“I’m done trying to please our parents. I’m done trying to please you. I don’t care if you die because you never gave a damn about anything. You helped me to feel alien in our family. Mum was the only one who tried to help me. Father couldn’t get over what happened with him and the Slytherins when he was younger and he looked at me the same way. He even treats Scorpius better than me and his father was the Slytherin and did way worst than me.” Lily said with tears in her eyes, “I don’t care if something happens to you or James because you deserve it, but I know that mum loves me and regrets what happened. You don’t.”

“How dare you!” Albus yelled at her putting his face right in hers to see her shake away a little after they both stood up quickly and knocked their chairs back.

“Albus.” Professor Longbottom warned.

“If anything it should be you that shouldn’t be here. Not Alice.” Albus growled and had his face right to hers again.

Lily stared at him for a long time before she then smirked and punched Albus as hard as she could in the gut. Albus gasped a little and crouched his legs in pain and Lily then quickly punched him again. Albus felt his nose crack. Before anyone could stop Lily, she then went to Alice and slapped her across the face before she pushed her back. Though Scorpius tried to keep his grip on her she banged her head on the floor anyway.

Angrily Lily stepped out of the room and slammed the door behind her. The professors looked at each other. Scorpius was already helping Alice up from the ground. Albus was staring at the now shut door and he was panting with anger. Alice sat up on the floor and was holding the back of her head.

“I’ll go talk to her.” Professor Goyle said.

Professor Longbottom and Professor Perks nodded. Professor Goyle left the room. After he left Professor Longbottom came off of his seat and he walked over to Alice.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“Yeah. Stings a little, but that’s it.” Alice said.

“Albus? I think that you should go to the Hospital Wing. That looks like a broken nose.” Professor Longbottom said.

Albus was now suddenly aware that blood was gushing out of his nose. He grumbled and said, “bite me.”

After he left the room and slammed the door behind him the others gave each other a worried glance.

“I’ll go see him.” Hugo said getting off of his chair.

“Us too.” Alice said getting to her feet beside Scorpius.

“No. You guys should go see Hagrid.” Hugo said and he then left the room as well.

Alice, Scorpius, and Rose looked at each other.

“I do think though that you should go to the hospital wing Miss Break. That was a nasty fall.” Professor Longbottom said.

“Okay.” Alice agreed weakly.

“We’ll take her.” Scorpius said.

The two professors nodded and all three of them left the room. Though they knew not to expect it the prefects were gone and neither Albus or Lily were there with Hugo. It was just a quiet walk to the hospital wing.
