-Chapter Seven-

Albus, Scorpius, and Alice burst into St Mungo Hospital following Rose and Hugo. They came here by Apperation by Professor Longbottom who was coming to visit himself.

“Hello?” the girl at the front desk said.

After looking around Albus saw James in the corner. They waved and James walked over to them and he told the girl at the desk, “don’t worry. They are with me.”

The girl nodded and Rose and Hugo asked him quickly, “How’s our mum? What happened to her?”

“She’s okay. No permanent damage. She’s a bit tired now, but the investigators left a little bit ago.” James explained.

“What happened to her?” Rose asked.

James sighed.

“She was attacked. Someone was trying to strangle her to death before your father came over and found them. The healers say that he came just in time,” James answered.

Both Hugo and Rose were pale and all seven of them walked to the room with James, Rose, and Hugo in the front. Once James opened the door Rose and Hugo flew through it. When Albus came in with the others, he saw that they were in a large room that was only full of his family members and friends. His parents, Teddy, Uncle Ron, his grandparents, and Luna Scamander and her family were all around Mrs. Weasley’s sickbed. Hermione smiled as her children came in and she gave them each a hug with one arm. Once that was done Hugo sat on a chair that was beside Teddy while Rose stood beside her father.

After shutting the door, James went back to his seat and Albus and his friends leaned against the wall.

“Are you okay mum?” Rose asked.

“I’m fine. I wouldn’t even be in this bed if it weren’t for your father. His a worrier. There is nothing wrong with me,” Hermione told her daughter in a hoarse whisper.

“James said that a person tried to strangle you. Is your throat okay?” Rose asked and Ron put his arm around his daughter.

“Yeah. My throat hurts, but the healers say that I will be completely fine in a couple of days.” Hermione answered.

“If nothing is wrong then why aren’t you in a muggle hospital?” Scorpius asked.

“The first reason is because of my husband. The second reason is because the people looking into my case and yours Scorpius don’t want muggles to start figuring this out and everything because we think that since it is against wizards and witches that it’s a wizard alone.” Hermione answered.

“They aren’t sure if the two attacks are related. Yes Scorpius someone tried to take you, but according to my wife no one was trying to kidnap her. Just kill her. They think the person is different and just wanted her dead since she is a muggle-born.” Ron explained.

“Ski mask isn’t something that would be repeated.” Albus said.

They all nodded and Lyssander smiled at Rose. A little awkward Rose smiled back quickly. Lyssander and Lorcan Scamander were friends of the family because their mother was friends with their parents. Lyssander was a in Ravenclaw while Lorcan was in Gryffindor. Lorcan was actually one of James’s best friends. Lorcan and Lyssander were twins born three years older than Albus. Albus noticed that Lyssander was also sweet on Rose, but he didn’t do too much considering that he was years older than her.

“Are you sure you’re alright mum?” Rose asked.

“Of course sweety. Like I said I wouldn’t be in here if your father hadn’t insisted on it.” Hermione told her daughter.

Rose smiled and Alice looked at Albus. She whispered in his ear while everyone was talking to Hermione and the others, “Tonight? Will you come with me to Professor Longbottom’s office?”

Albus looked at her and nodded. She gave him a weak smile and they then looked back at the others. Albus stared at her for a bit longer before doing what she was.

Albus, Rose, Scorpius, and Alice left the room. They walked down the hospital hallway. It was around dinner time and all of them were hungry. They got money from their parents and left the room. They left the hospital and told the lady at the desk that they would be back soon.

“So where should we go?” Albus asked them.

“I don’t care.” Rose answered.

Scorpius looked at her. There was nothing to her voice. Nothing. Rose was more than upset about her mother’s attack. Before he could help himself he put his arm around her shoulders.

“She’ll be fine.” Scorpius told her.

She stared up at him a little shocked by his actions, but she took it. It felt nice that someone cared for her.

They entered the muggle world and Albus looked around.

“Why don’t we go into that restaurant? Albus asked, “it’ll be expensive but at least it’s near the hospital.”

After all of them agreed they entered it. There were barely anybody in, but they all looked at the four teens as they came into the restaurant. A waitress with long blonde hair came to them and took them to a table with four seats. All of them sat at it while the waitress handed them their menus. On one side was Albus and Rose and on the other was Scorpius and Alice.

“Do you guys think that the attacks are connected?” Rose asked them.

“I don’t know.” Scorpius said.

“I don’t.” Alice said.

The other three looked up from their menus and stared at her. When Alice felt the eyes she looked up to and shrugged.

“I don’t think it’s the same person because the one that attacked Mrs. Weasley had a lot of guts to go right up to her and try to kill her. The guy that tried to kidnap Scorpius caught me first. I was headed to the washroom. When I was in there why didn’t he get Scorpius himself? He seemed unplanned while the one that attacked Mrs. Weasley did. He waited until she was alone. Also the person who attacked your mom was a lot bolder than the person who tried to kidnap Scorpius. No offense Rose, but this guy was ready to kill your mother, but the guy who tried to kidnap Scorpius got scared. I don’t think that in a couple of days that he would get that much better.” Alice explained, “I honestly think that the person who attacked your mother Rose read about the attack that happened to Scorpius and he got an excuse.”

They all were silent.

“A ski mask though?” Albus asked.

“That was in the paper.” Alice told him.

Rose picked up her menu and began looking at it. The others followed what she was doing and they picked out their food when the waitress came back. Once she was gone Albus looked at Rose, “they’ll find these guys. Don’t worry.”

“But Alice was right. He waited for my mom to be alone. My parents were being followed.” Rose said.

“In fact. I was too.” Scorpius said.

Albus stared at them.

“Scorpius you should tell your parents.” Albus said, “someone could attack your parents.”

Scorpius shook his head and said, “I’ve been getting letters from my dad. My mom is really sick. He won’t leave the house because he wants to take care of her. She isn’t getting any better. My father is debating about taking her to St. Mungo’s. He only ever leaves the house to get medicine.”

“Maybe he should take her then.” Alice said.

“He says that she can’t even stand up. He doesn’t know how to get her there because he’s afraid to use apparation.” Scorpius told them.

Alice took his hand and he smiled weakly at her.

“Maybe you should ask Professor Longbottom if you could go home to help. Professor Goyle knew about your mother. Professor Longbottom probably will too.” Alice suggested.

Scorpius shook his head, “I already asked him that. Professor Longbottom agreed, but my father said that he didn’t want me there and that I should focus on my OWLS.”

Alice gave him a weak smile.

“What a fun last year huh?” Alice asked everyone.

“I’ll say.” Albus agreed and everyone else nodded weakly.

Everyone finished their food. Alice looked at the clock to see that it was an hour later from when they left the hospital. She put her utensils on her plate and said, “we should probably pay.”

Rose nodded and she then put some money on the table.

“Is it okay if I leave now to go to the hospital?” Rose asked.

Albus looked at the others and all three of them nodded. Rose thanked them and she then got up and swiftly left the restaurant. As she crossed the street slowly Scorpius was staring at her. Alice kicked him from under the table. Making sure not to make a sound Scorpius stared at her. Alice cleared her throat and began to get the money out of her pocket.

“Maybe I should go with her.” Scorpius said and he took his money out of his pocket too.

Albus stared at Scorpius in horror.

“I just don’t think that she should be alone at a time like this.” Scorpius said.

Albus stared at Scorpius and Scorpius could almost read his mind when it said ‘you are leaving me with her?! No!’ Scorpius gave him a weak smile.

“I’ll see you guys at the hospital. I better get going.” Scorpius said.

Before Albus could stop him Scorpius jumped out of his seat and hurried out of the restaurant. Albus stared at Alice and she stared at him.

“What are you so nervous about?” she asked him.

“I’m not nervous.” Albus said.

“You know that Scorpius would never hurt her.” Alice said.

Albus raised his eyebrows and regarded her.

“Excuse me?” he asked.

“Scorpius is a good person Albus. He would never do anything wrong to Rose.” Alice told him.

“Wait...he likes her?” Albus asked shocked.

Alice dropped her mouth.

“How did you not know?” Alice asked.

“How did you know!” Albus asked shocked.

“I thought he told you. I figured it out on my own!” Alice said shocked.

Albus and Alice sat their shocked. He stared after them and Alice asked him, “are you blind? It’s obvious. I would’ve thought that he told you or at least you figure it out on your own.”

Albus stared back at her. She shrugged her shoulders and called the waitress over.

“I’m not the only one who is blind.” Albus whispered.

“Rose! Wait up!” Rose turned around to see Scorpius running after her.

She stared at him shocked, but did stop. Once he was beside her they began walking again.

“Why did you follow me?” Rose asked him.

“I just didn’t think that you should be alone.” Scorpius said.

“Thanks.” Rose told him.

They walked in silence for a little bit before Scorpius saw how pale Rose was and that her eyes were red. He took her hand and stopped her. She looked back at him and Scorpius asked her, “hey? What’s wrong?”

“Scorpius my mother got attack and she is in the hospital.” Rose said.

“It goes farther than that.” Scorpius told him.

Rose stared at him. She took in a large breathe and Scorpius asked her, “we’re friends right?”

Rose nodded.

Scorpius rubbed her shoulder with his other hand and told her, “then you know that you can come to me right? I know that you go to Albus with these things and I understand, but if you want to talk about something that you don’t want Albus to know then you can come to me okay.”

Rose gave him a weak smile and she nodded.

“I’m just making sure.” Scorpius said and the two of them began walking again.
