Always guaranteed to feature in my All-Time Top 10 albums, Word Gets Around is about as close to being the perfect rock album as one is likely to encounter.

There's no doubt in my mind this is the best album Stereophonics have recorded to date, high praise really considering all of their albums are fantastic. But this was recorded before they made it big, before all the line-up changes and long before drummer Stuart Cable's suicide.
