The latest Imagine Dragon's album, Evolve, talks about love and loss, life and death, hope and despair. Covering a panorama of musical genres from Pop to Rock, the album reflects on the band's evolution from when they released their first album, Night Visions, in 2012. 

Believer talks about empowerment, pain and overcoming personal limitations. The lines "Pain! You made me / You made me a believer" and "I let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain / My life, my love, my drive, it came from / Pain!" resonate how pain is the driving force behind who the band is today.

The lines "Whatever it takes / 'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins / I do whatever it takes/ 'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains / Whatever it takes / You take me to the top / I'm ready for whatever it takes" reflect on how Dan Reynolds will do Whatever It Takes to get to the top and states the reasons behind it.

Shot in Dubai, featuring the Burj Khalifa, Thunder is a song with a repetitive chorus which talks about the lives of the band members when they were young. It talks about how thunder and lightning of wanting to go places.
