Chapter 4
3rd POV
It's a brand new day in the Kitsune den (I'm just gonna call it a Kitsune den), you can see the deer, birds, bunnies, and squirrels crowding outside of a cave, all there for the same reason, most likely to answer to a certain boy's voice.
"I don't wanna leave Ita-Ita alone, Kura-nii! I don't wanna go!" (A/N: Writing this made my heart hurt. Infinity War broke me.) Naruto yelled, gripping on Itachi's leg. Surprisingly, Itachi didn't mind, Naruto didn't hold it that hard, but for some reason, Kurama couldn't pull him off.
"We have to go back, kit! Those villagers are starting to wonder where you are, since you're always up at like 4 in the morning!" He yelled back, using almost all his willpower to pull the small child off of that weasel's leg.
"Why can't you create a shadow clone and henge it into Naruto?" Came the smart reply from Itachi, leaving Kurama thinking about the consequences if something went wrong. Which also made him release his grip on Naruto.
"That's a smart thing to do, but," he spoke, motioning toward Naruto, "it isn't exactly easy to copy the amount of innocence and kindness this kit has," He paused, then pointed a his thumb at himself. "especially when it's me." The Uchiha shrugged.
"Then teach him the shadow clone, or I could do try to do it."
"Oh! Well I'd like to see you try!" Kurama yelled sarcastically, however Itachi tried anyways. He put his fingers in the form of a cross, and yelled,
"Shadow clone jutsu!"
In a poof, a very emotionless Naruto showed up. He only stared.....and stared. It creeped them both out, and Naruto, well....he smiled at him. In a poof, he disappeared, and Itachi looked down in embarrassment.
"Well, I guess it is hard to mimic Naruto-kun." He spoke softly. Kurama started to cackle in the background.
"You know what? I'll just change how fast time rolls by here."
-Time skip, bc I'm out of ideas.-
It's been 2 weeks since Itachi has met Naruto. They've done a lot together, like pick flowers, petting animals he'd never dream of actually touching alive and actually relaxed, go to a beach, climb trees, see beautiful views, eat berries, swim in waterfalls, and he even taught Naruto how to properly say some other words. Although he misses his little brother a lot, it feels like he just found his other half whenever he's around Naruto. Speaking of Naruto, he's actually braiding his hair right now. At the corner of his eye, Itachi even saw Kurama fiddling with his own unique braid.
"Naruto-kun, do you know how to write yet?" He asked, causing the child to look up from his fingers that were wrapped in black strands of hair.
"Yeah, Kura-nii and my friend Shikamaru helped me. He's already 5!" He exclaimed. Itachi felt him start to tie some flowers in the, now finished, braid.
"Is that so? Why don't you show me? I'd like to write to you when I leave soon, that way we can keep on talking to each other." He said, watching as his eyes widen and sparkle in excitement.
"Ok!" He replied, letting go of the finished braid filled with flowers.
Kurama just sighed, and took out a piece of paper and a pencil with an eraser from a drawer. He placed it on the ground, and went back to messing around with his braid.
"So, try writing something, like a note." Says Itachi, tapping his fingers on the floor in a soothing rhythm. He's able to leave any time he wants now, his injuries are almost completely healed, and just like Kurama said, it didn't show any sign of scarring. He watched as the tiny, smaller than usual, child scribble down letters, which formed into words, and then changed into a small note.
"Kurama! I told you to use the bed instead of the floor to sleep. That's the reason why you have so many back cramps. -Naruto"
Naruto giggled as he left the note on the floor, in exactly the spot where Kurama like to snooze; under table. Itachi glanced at the spot he almost died from. Imagine going to sit down at table only to find a person's face there on the floor! Creepy!
And, speak of the devil and he shall appear! Kurama walking in with a slightly messed up braid.
"Uchiha, I think it's almost time for you to go."
Naruto looked up at him with sad eyes. "Can he come back?"
"No."
Naruto's eyes started watering, then it started tearing up. Kurama looked at him with a panicked expression.
"W-Wait! Kit, don't-!"
Naruto started wailing. Kurama started to sprint towards him to calm the child down. He tried patting his head, it only turned the tears into a waterfall. He picked his up, put now there was a puddle on the floor, and he didn't stop crying. He sighed, knowing the only thing to make him stop.
"Okay fine! He can come back! I'll give him permission so please stop crying." He spoke, and Naruto actually started to stop crying. The waterfall turned into tears, and the tears turned to sniffles.
"W-wreawly?" (R-Really?) What he said took awhile for the others to understand. Kurama was the first, surprisingly.
"Yes, really. Now, stop crying and help me clean up the 5th lake in this world that flooded our kitchen."
Naruto nodded and tried to scoop up the water with a bowl. Kurama only sighed in response, going to a bin to get the towels. Itachi was just watching amused, until he went to grab another towel to help out.
A/N:
Hey guys. So, long story short, I lost my will to write for awhile. The reason, you ask? My English teacher. I have the same one as last year, and I'm dying on the inside. Whenever I wrote something last year, she would only read it out loud and leave it. While she read other people's writings she complemented theirs while forgetting mines. I know this may sound weird, but I see different meanings in her actions. She never complemented it because it wasn't good, and the reason it wasn't good was because she didn't allow me to write anything I like, such as Naruto, and spend time making it better. Also, this year I've gotten so tired that when my friend asked me to see if her hair is ok since it was literally a in knot earlier, and I tried to fix it a little, she said "Y/N is there a hair salon happening right now? Because I would've gladly joined." What was worst she said it sarcastically, and I know my friend felt bad, so I ignored the teacher. I just looked at her, then back at my work. I was so done with feeling down because I got yelled in front of class like last year. After I looked at all your comments and reads, I slowly started to feel my love for writing come back. And that's what lead me to do this chapter! Thank you guys all so much!
