Chapter 23

3rd POV

Sasuke, Yuudai, Aquilo, and Kurama were crowded around Naruto's bed, worrying about what had happened. In Sasuke's point of view, he saw a type of eye similar to that of a Byakugan- except it was a beautiful dark-light blue and purple color instead of the normal grey. It was strange to say in the least, but of course, he's seen stranger.

Aquilo saw this coming, after all, Naruto possessed both the Byakugan and Otsutsuki blood. He would have to start teaching him how to use a whole new dojutsu- one that he unfortunately does not have access to, but is indeed very well explained in a few books he had kept from the clan. Judging by how easily Naruto can learn different things- without Sharingan- he's probably going to get the hang of it in a few days.

Yuudai's heart was racing, thinking about the times from back then. The panic that Naruto might've gotten hurt or that there was something wrong had overruled all other senses. His eyes were unfocused, and he was shaking, Aquilo being the first to notice. He slipped a comforting arm around Yuudai's waist, gingerly kissing his cheek. It was very effective, Yuudai calmed down afterwards.

Madara was being the typical emo, standing in the corner. But he did manage to sneak some glances full of worry at the albino. Kurama, being the 'scary aunt' of the family if you do say so, was threatening said Madara while at the same time checking to see if Naruto had any severe damage to his eyes or head- finding none.

And, behold, Naruto opened his eyes. However, they weren't his usual periwinkle blue, but rather a vibrant purple color.

"Y-You're eyes!" Sasuke whisper-yelled, staring into them. He wished Itachi was here sometimes, Naruto seems to be more panicked than usual.

"My...what?" Sitting up, Naruto looked around his surroundings, finding out that he is currently lying in his own bed. Taking a glance at the cracked mirror, he noticed how different they were from what he had expected.

Near the bottom of his eye, it fades to a lighter shade of purple, while the top of his eye faded to a darker purple color. Not to mention, they were lined up perfectly, creating a simple yet rare pattern. Other than that, it was the typical Renningan (?). Well....at least he thinks so. Nothing about him is normal so far, from his genetic makeup to how his Sharingan has evolved.

"Naruto-chan, try using your byakugan." Aquilo said, pecking Yuudai once more before letting his arm fall.

"Byakugan?" Naruto muttered, obviously confused.

"Actually, just....cut off the flow of chakra to your eyes."

Naruto did as he was told, his Renningan being replaced by his normal eyes. The confusion that lingered in his mind was still very prominent, and he glanced at Yuudai.

"Yuu-nii...I'm confused."

"I'm afraid I have no answers either, ask this idiot over here if you want."- Y.S.U

"Hey! I think you mean handsome prince!"-A.O

"Tch"-Y.S.U

"Says the princess to the prince."-A.O

"Do we have anymore blueberries stashed by Otsu-oopsie."-Y.S.U

"I beg for your forgiveness!"-A.O

Everybody watched the two lovers spat, Yuudai storming off to find the hidden blueberries while Aquilo had a vice grip on his leg.

The talk about Naruto's eyes was postponed for now.

-Few days later-

Naruto's POV

I'm up at 3 a.m today, and it's quite strange. It's only been a few days but.... I've been missing Ita-Ita even more recently. I really want to hug him...I really want to-

What are you thinking right now? Stop it. Ita-Ita is working hard right now, but I'm busy watching over that girl and wishing to see him. Just stop.

I stared yearningly at the trees that sway under the last few hours of moonlight. It's always so peaceful at this time. No villagers are awake, nobody dares to tread upon the land of the Uchiha Compound. Everything seems completely fine.

I sensed a presence behind me, hearing the footsteps of none other than Aquilo.

"Naruto-chan, it's too early to be up. Go back to sleep, do you need me to tuck you in?" He questioned me, and I felt my face heat up from embarrassment. I huffed, crossing my arms.

"I'm 14, I'm always up at this time. Anyways, what're you doing up Aquilo-nii? Don't you wake up at 9?" I heard Aquilo laugh awkwardly, and turned back to face the moon.

"Oh course, but I'm worried about Yuu....I'm thinking it's about time now." Aquilo leaned beside me, admiring the moon as well. It really did seem to dominate the sky when the sun is at rest.

"About time for what?" I inquired, and Aquilo chucked, pulling out a small black box from one of his many pockets. My eyes widened at his next words.

"I'm thinking that it's about time I propose to your Nii-chan. He's the love of my life, I couldn't ask for anybody better. He's perfect. So, I'm asking for your consent and approval. That's why I'm up so early."

-Time skip to a few hours later-

"Is everybody aware of the genin exams taking place tomorrow?" Iruka asked the class, smiling like usual while he held a pile of papers. I zoned out, staring out the window conveniently placed near me and Sasu-nii's desk.

"Yes!" The whole class replied, except for Sasu-nii and I.

'It's about time I propose to your Nii-chan.'

That line replayed in my head. Aquilo is finally going to do it? He said he's planning to do it exactly next week, since he needs to get himself mentally prepared for this huge event. Marriage...I wonder how Yuu-nii would react to the proposal. He deserves to be happy, he's been taking care of me for practically two lives now. He deserves to have freedom and a big family.

How would we plan such a big event? It can't be public, seeing as they're...well...them. An Otsutsuki and a Senju-Uchiha....I should probably start focusing on that new seal. I made one for same-sex couples, actually this one is for men. It would basically give one of them a temporary womb so that they can have children of their own, and the seal will automatically burn off after birth.

It's specifically made for Yuu-nii and Aquilo. But there's so many things I'm working on, like the plan me and Panda-chan have for when I figure out a way to keep trespassers out. I'm thinking about using my mindscape as an entrance, therefore allowing me to see who enters and who leaves. I want the people I protect to feel safe from the outside world, and I have a feeling they're mostly going to be children.

"Naruto-chan, these fangirls are going to be the death of me. Let's go before they gather." I heard Sasu-nii whisper to me, and I absentmindedly nodded an 'ok' to him.

And luck seems to not be on my side today, as I heard ferocious stomps heading towards us. Sasu-nii groaned silently, and I just rubbed his hand in comfort. No wonder he always gets headaches.

"Hoe, we won't let you do whatever your please to our Sasuke-sama! A girl like you doesn't deserve to be in his presence!" One of the girls yelled at me, and I looked up. Oh, it's the pink haired one today.

"Um, I thought you'd know by now, but I'm a boy." She stared at me, dumbfounded. It's that face she makes during class when she doesn't get what Iruka is saying, which is practically the whole period.

"Fine, faggot! I bet under all that makeup you're the ugliest boy the 4 great nations have ever seen!" She screeched, and I could feel my head pounding at the horrid noise.

"What's makeup? Also, I think you mean the 5 great nations." I replied, and yet again, a look of anger made a way to her face. Snapping her fingers like she's the queen of the world, she barked out a few orders.

"Get me the makeup remover! And a pair of scissors!" A few stomps later, a bag of makeup removing wipes and a pair of red scissors were now placed on the wood desk. Sasu-nii's glaring at the scissors pretty harshly.

If she's going to cut my hair, then so be it. I wanted to get it trimmed anyways.

She took out a few wipes, and sloppily started pressing them against my face, rubbing it all over my eyes and mouth. Bleh, tastes horrible. Almost like that one time a villager tried to poison me.

"W-What? No way! Nobody could have skin like this!" She stared at the wipe, as clean as it could be. Not a hint of dirt or makeup on it.

"Monster! Well, what about this hair you seem to like so much?" She grabbed the pair of scissors, yanking a handful of my hair roughly and putting it against the blade. I hope she cuts it straight actually.....

That's when Sasu-nii snapped, and kicked the scissors out of her grasp, punching the hand that was pulling my hair shortly afterwards. Welp, there goes that instant haircut.

"Sasuke-sama!" She cried out, holding her slightly cut finger. Psh, and injury like that would heal in a few hours.

"Leave us alone, let's go." He grabbed my hand, and we walked away from the academy.

-the next day (skipping the tests)-

"Alright, here are the teams! Team one-"

I sat tiredly in my seat, Sasu-nii  staring out the window. I didn't sleep last night, not at all. I kept on thinking about Ita-Ita... I wish he was here. I want to see him so badly.

But missions come first, Naruto, not your petty feelings. Missions, friends, and family. Then me.

"Team 7, Naruto-" my eyes shot up, so did Sasu-nii's. Ah, he's probably hoping he gets on my team. Since I'm the newest, I'm the one with no grade added in. The main reason being that all the tests and projects were finished before I transferred- the only grades I do have are for sparring. And I fainted that time.

"-Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha, and Naruko Uzumaki-Namikaze." Dang it. Naruko is on the team, but at least Sasu-nii made it as top student. I'll have to make him tomato soup today, thanking him for keeping his grades as high as they could be.

"Your sensei will be Kakashi Hatake. Now, team 8-" so poodle-San is going to supposedly teach us. Let's see how this goes.

As a few hours passed, I slumped over the desk trying to take a short nap. After a few minutes of trying, I gave up. I'm always alert during the day, it's no surprise I can seem to not focus on every chakra signature I sense.

I groaned silently, looking up as the last team got picked up by their sensei, leaving Naruko without friends to chat with. It's been about 2 hours, poodle-san would be here in about another hour of he hasn't changed his ways.

I leaned on Sasu-nii's arm, yet again admiring the few trees displayed outside of the window. Sasu-nii...I understand why you stare our this piece of glass every day now.

"Get your filthy hands off my Sasuke-kun!" I heard the blonde scream at me, her loud footsteps reminding me of that stampede children playing at the parks.

I felt her hand grasp around a handful of my hair, yanking it backwards forcing my head to be lifted away from Sasu-nii's arm. I would've almost punched her back by reflex, almost.

"Tch, piss off." I heard him mumble, but Naruko didn't hear, and instead pulled my hair again. What's with people targeting my hair? Does it catch that much attention?

"Hey! Don't ignore me! I'm the Hokage's daughter, Naruko Uzumaki-Namikaze! You're just a commoner! Sasuke-sama is a Uchiha, don't think about getting near him!" She screeched in my ear, causing me to wince slightly.

"I'm a Uchiha too, and we have a brotherly relationship. What's wrong with hanging out with each other? I've known him since I was 4." I sighed, pulling my hair out of her sweaty palms, combing my fingers through it for awhile. I feel like I need to take a shower for some odd reason....

"Please! As if an Uchiha could look like you do, you fake." Flipping her hair, she made her way to my seat, only for Sasu-nii to stand up abruptly and help me out of the classroom, leaving her behind.

Fake, monster, mutant, demon, hoe...why do they keep on calling me these things? If only I didn't have this hideous hair color or eyes...maybe they would treat me like I'm human. Just maybe...

"Naruto-chan, don't listen to her. Let's go get some green tea real quick, I haven't seen you drink any lately." He pulled my arm gently, and I followed him. I'm lucky he sees me as a younger sibling, I wouldn't know what I'd do right now without him.

He took me to a small shop, and bought two bottles of green tea. I could make better ones, but I'm happy I even got some. I opened the bottle with a click, drinking the cold tea slowly. It tastes good, Sasu-nii is right, I haven't drank any for awhile. I kinda missed the taste...just like Ita-Ita...

Now, Sasu-nii dragged me to a cherry blossom tree, and I sat in a branch while he sat on another one. It seemed peaceful, like the mornings for me, but then I heard a familiar voice. Finally. He really did try to hide his chakra signature, didn't he? I wondered when he would come out the bushes.

"Yo, there you two are." Behold, poodle-san is below us, reading his usual orange book. I don't know what he's always reading, but maybe I should ask again.

"Are you ready for an introduction? I've gathered all my cute genin here. Let's begin, since the A.A is quite far away." He smiled, plopping down onto the lush green grass, Naruko following him, a look of uncertainty on her face.

"Is this grass clean? I'm wearing my new shorts and shoes today." She asked as she slightly hovered above the ground, and Kakashi sighed.

"No, I'm pretty sure almost everything is dirty in some way. But just sit down."

The a huff, she sat down with her arms crossed. I jumped down from my branch, scaring Naruko in the process. Sasu-nii jumped down as well, landing coolly. I smiled as a few pink petals flew into the sky.

"Ok, now let's all introduce ourselves again!" Kakashi, for once, out down his book.

Naruto thought to herself, raising her tanned arm. Not even waiting for Kakashi to ask what she needed, she said "how do we introduce ourself? You go first."

Umm...doesn't everybody know how to introduce the selves? Name, likes, dislikes, hobbies, it's very simple right?

"Hmm....well my name is Kakashi Hatake. Well, I don't have many things I like. I dislike many other things, my hobbies....you are too young. My dream is....I'm not sure." He smiled, and I grinned. His way of introducing himself is...funny you could say.

"Blondie, go." He pointed towards Naruko, who responded in an obnoxious, high pitch voice.

"I'm Naruko Uzumaki-Namikaze! I love ramen, my family, clothes, makeup, money, -glances at Sasuke- and shoes! I disliked this white haired freak, exercising, getting dirty, and ruining my clothes. Oh! Not to mention Ino-baka and Sakura-baka. My hobbies are shopping," she glanced at Sasuke again with a creepy smile. "And my dream is to," she glanced at Sasuke, squealing.

Kakashi sighed, and I held my ears tightly. This might actually be a pain to deal with everyday.

"Next, you, emo." Kakashi pointed a finger at Sasu-nii, who growled.

"I'm Sasuke Uchiha, I like tomatoes....Naruto-chan....Shisui...and the rest isn't any of your business. I dislike many things, my number one is fangirls. My hobbies are training and....training. My dream is to....beat my brother." Naruko squealed again, hearts in her eyes as she stared at Sasu-nii.

"Ok, how you, Naru." Finally, he pointed a finger at me. Taking in a deep breath, I started talking loud enough for them to hear me.

"I'm Naruto Uchiha. I like scrolls, jutsu, books, fruits, and green tea. I dislike...high pitch loud noises, stinky stuff, and some people. My hobbies are training, looking at the moon, and feeding ravens. My dream is to....to...make my own village." I felt my cheeks heat up. Don't tell me I was about to say stay with Ita-Ita forever.....

"Hmm, ok. Now, let's start our test! I haven't got much time to spare, a new batch of teachers need to replace us, and until we have them, I'll be babysitting for awhile." Kakashi, got up, pulling out a small clock, as well as two bells.

Oh, the bell test? Seems simple enough.

"You guys have to get these two bells from me. Whoever doesn't get one is sent back to the academy. The percentage of passing is 66%, come at me with the intent to ki...kill.." He looked over at me, seemingly not wanting to say those words at the end.

With the intent to kill, you say? Very well...

"3...2......1-" I jumped at him, taking out a kunai. I threw it at his head, him dodging easily. Sending a flurry of kicks and punches, I heard a few grunts as I jumped away.

Looking up, I saw a slightly bruised Kakashi, nearly breaking a sweat at the warmup. I grinned, my eyes turning to a light red. It's been awhile since I could have a chance to spar with Kakashi.

"Baka! He didn't finish counted yet!" I dodged a punch, my gaze causing Naruko to freeze up. As far as I could tell, she probably isn't used to seeing somebody who's killed before.

"If you wait for an enemy to finish counting, might as well sign your death wish." I faced Sasu-nii making an X mark with my fingers, then pointing at Kakashi with one of them.

'Target is Kakashi, simple enough.'

My eyes turned into a slightly darker shade of red, and I stepped towards the silver haired ex-teammate, who glared at me.

I ran towards him, dropping to the ground and kicking his feet- he avoided it. I got up, smiling at the man.

"Ne, that's was a good fight- yes? Of course, you better hold back on your genin students, like me."

3rd POV

Kakashi stared at the boy who's eyes can compare to a rose. It's only ever been getting darker and brighter, almost glowing, but he knows it's not the Sharingan. There's no tomoes. So, what is it?

He turned for a split second as Naruko fainted, dropping to the ground at his, you could say, -E rank genjutsu.

He quickly made a clone, sending it to go after Sasuke. He almost forgot the number one rule about his ex-teammate, one that should always be remembered when sparring. And the most common way an enemy had died facing against this albino.

Never take your eyes away from him.

He barely dodges a leg coming from under him, it grazing his chin. Naruto stood, balancing on one leg as the other is straight up into the air. (A/N: I have no knowledge in poses or fighting stances/moves)

He backed away, making a few hand signs. "Chi-"

"Sorry, you lose." Kakashi looked at where Naruto was in question, the chidori creating high pitch and loud noises. This should keep him at a reasonable distance away....he knows about Naruto's sensitive hearing.

"Hi!" Naruto jumped down a branch, his leg up preparing to smash Kakashi's head- his eyes a deep blood red.

Kakashi was quick, using an arm, the one which isn't occupied with the chidori, to grab Naruto's leg, barely a centimeter away from his hair. He watched as Naruto giggled, sounding close to insane. His eyes...

"Did you forget? I can do an over split, you know." He nearly smacked his face with he chidori, as Naruto leaned against him, the leg not budging, closer and closer. The over split was....freaky to say the least. It's not normal to see somebody who's able to do one, and it was definitely a first for Kakashi.

Kakashi stared into those blood red eyes, unsure of what to think of it. It's not the Sharingan, rather, it seems to make him crave blood? No, killing intent is a better word. Ah, because of the mask Naruto always wears, his eyes weren't very visible. He almost forgot. This must be what he uses to finish missions, ones that create a bloodbath afterwards. He would always stare at the enemies so coldly, he has never wanted to be looked at like that from him.

He heard a jingle, and turned around, seeing Sasuke standing with the two bells. He stared at it in shock, and then noticed Naruto 'standing' in front of him, arms crossed with his eyes their usual color.

"So, poodle-san, when will you let go of that leg? I mean, I can do it forever, but there's a fainted girl and the test is over. You've been lost in thought for 5 minutes and 29 seconds." He looked at both his hands, the chidori fading away as he placed the leg down.

He coughed a few times, turning his attention to Sasuke. It's been awhile since he's been so distracted during a fight. The children must've made him like that. Staring out into space to waste time as they had a free study period must've dulled his attention span.

"So who're (typed whore there for a moment) you going to give the bells to?" He asked, as Sasuke stared at the bells, then to Naruto, to him, and then the fainted girl.

"I'll...give them to Naruto." Kakashi raised an eyebrow.

"Haha, Sasu-nii. I don't need them, give one to Naruko. I can live with the academy for another year, isn't that right, sensei?" Naruto teased, smiling jokingly, already knowing the outcome.

Kakashi sighed, running a hand his hair and taking out his book.

"I guess so, you pass. Your first mission will be in 2 days. [Now begone, thots.]"
