Chapter 1
A/N
I might switch their ages from time to time, since I do want Itachi to be a year older than Menma. But I don't want a HUGE age gap, so I'm kinda struggling here.

Naruto's POV
The sun rose up, and I opened my eyes, the sunlight was drifting through the window onto my pale face. I slowly put myself in a sitting position, wincing at the pain in my side. Oh yeah.... last night wasn't very fun. Mom hit me in the side a lot because I didn't want to spar with my big brother and sister. It was all because I refused once since I wasn't feeling well enough to from the last spar/beating, that set her in a terrible mood. I remember it, and it definitely hurt a lot.
-Flashback-
I was walking down the stairs trying to go out into the forest, I couldn't sleep while they were laughing so loud at the dinner table. But then, I was abruptly stopped by a plate that went hurdling towards my 'fake' face. Oh yeah, I already knew how to do a genjutsu, while big brother and big sister are practicing holding a kunai properly with Dad, but even when I can do that, Mom and Dad still ignore me. All I want is for them to notice me, to bring me to breakfast, to actually talk to me, and not call me those mean names. It hurts, and my chest also hurts, whenever that happens I just want to cry. But I have deal with it, Dad and Kush- Mom look so much happier with Big brother and big sister. I don't want to be the reason why they suddenly become annoyed or be the reason why the happy mood becomes dark.
I looked at where the plate came from, only to find Mom looking angry, and Dad's face screaming annoyed. Big brother and Sister were looking at me with frowns, I could tell that they were mad, too. But...what did I do to make them so mad and annoyed?
"You Mutant! Why are you interrupting my family's dinner?!" She yelled directly at me, making me jump at the amount of hatred that laced her voice.
"B-But what did I d-?" Another object came hurdling at my face, which I quickly ducked under. This time, it was a knife.
"You dare interrupt ME?! The Hokage's wife! You should've gotten hit with that knife! You're a bad influence to MY CHILDREN!" She yelled out again, stomping her way to the staircase.
"I-I'm your child, too-." I said, stopped mid-sentence as I felt pressure go onto my side. Mom.....Mom just punched me....hard. I stumbled back, holding my, now bruised, left rib cage. I was hit with shock, sadness, and a lot of pain with that punch.
"I NEVER GAVE BIRTH TO YOU, DEMON! GO BACK UP TO YOUR ROOM! YOU'RE A DISGRACE, YOU SHOULD'VE NEVER BEEN ALIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Mom yelled at me.
I was kicked, and punched again while whimpering in pain. I ran up the stairs crying, heading towards my room in the attic. I unlocked the door, closing it before running towards an old bed with very thin sheets covering it. The moment I hit the bed, I fell asleep. Still crying.
-Flashback end-
I looked around my room, seeing no changes until I looked in the cracked mirror. In the mirror was me, the real me, and I looked at my reflection for a little bit. I must've let my genjutsu down because of the pain, and I continued to stare at that mirror, listing all my weird features. My weird shoulder length white hair, white eyelashes, small frame, unusually pale skin, and bright blue eyes that appear almost periwinkle sometimes. Some people might mistake me for a Hyuga if my eyes appear that light, if it wasn't for my hair. I can also see why people mistake me for a girl, and glare at me. Then, I heard a yawn in my mind.
"Good morning, kit."
I jumped at the voice, then remembered what happened a few days ago.
-Flashback- (This is the last one, also this happened 3 days ago.)
I looked at big bro and big sis. They were out on the training grounds, practicing kunai throwing skills with Dad, while Mom sat on a picnic blanket on the side, cheering about how proud she is that her 'babies' are grown up and how they'll be rookie of the year since they are already practicing their kunai skills. But, I was sure that only one person in the academy would become rookie of the year, right? They were so busy cheering and training that they didn't even notice me coming to the training grounds to sit on a tree and watch them.
Then I heard Dad say something about 'how to control the kyuubi's chakra', and I saw them trying to pull out something red from their seals. I was amazed, and I looked eagerly at what they'll use that red chakra for. But then I was put in a state of confusion. They just left the chakra, they didn't do anything about it, just straight up stopped. Then it started moving towards me, I felt more fear as it came closer and closer to me. I tried to get Mom or Dad's attention, but Dad was busy praising my siblings, and Mom was still cheering.
Then it came at me with speed that could match Dad's Hiraishin, but my reflexes, gained being hit by the villagers (he's too young and innocent to know what abuse is), quickly made my right hand move up to cover my stomach, which was where the chakra thing was trying to go. It was a blur to me, it happened so fast, but I saw some black marks and symbols on the back of my hand, that spread up a little above my wrist. Then, I felt pressure where the symbols were, but the pressure soon turned into pain. Then I passed out, and woke up in that same spot the next day. Mom and Dad must have forgotten about me again. I stared blankly at the marks on my hand, wondering about what happened to all that charkra, and that was when I suddenly met Kurama.
-Flashback end-
I quickly calmed myself down, and Kurama, seeing how I wasn't used to his voice in my mind yet, chuckled.
'Good morning, Kurama. Ummm, how do you like my mind?" I asked awkwardly.
"Much better than your older siblings, kit. Your mind scape doesn't have posters of yourself on the walls. It's filled with flowers, trees, caves, and even some lakes and rivers. I love how you redesigned it. Oh! You even added some weak little pathetic prey!" Kurama yelled, and I laughed. I'm not used to having anybody to talk to, so this is nice.
'Glad ya like it.'
"Oh yeah, sorry about your side, kit. I couldn't heal it, your body ain't used to me chakra yet." He said, adding a weird accent at the end, which, I of course, mentally giggled at.
'Well, it's almost time to head out into the forest. If you want, you can use your human or fox form. I'm going to get some toast and an apple real quick.'
The moment I said 'human or fox form', a poof echoed throughout the room, and there stood Kurama in his human form. He had long, around mid back, red hair, with a few black streaks mixed in. Kurama was wearing his favorite red kimono, along with a pair of black shinobi sandals, and a braid from the last time I saw him. He is really tall, especially compared to me, so I pretend he is a wall, and bump into him, sometimes crawling and poking him, then moving behind his back so he can't find out who poked him. I looked at the man in front of me, while shaking my head. Of course he chose his human form. I sighed as I went out of the room. Kurama, catching this, made a shocked expression.
"What? You don't want to see my BEAUTIFUL human face?!" He yelled, putting his hand over his heart acting as if he was hurt.
"No, it's not that. It's just the floor squeaks up here, I'm betting that both of us will make some sort of sound since yo-." I said.
"Now you're calling me FAT?!" He asked, fake fainting on me, causing me to fall over, resulting in a bang that most likely woke up everybody in this house.
"-like to play around..."
Kurama got off of me when we hit the floor, and I took this opportunity to dash downstairs before Mom, Dad, Big brother, or Big sister had the chance to move off their beds. Kurama was behind me, making some more odd squeaking sounds. The moment I got into the kitchen, I grabbed two apples, a piece of toast, and ran out the door with Kurama in front of me this time. We continued to sprint towards the forest, and after 20 minutes we ran into a an area only accessible to Kurama and whoever else he allows to come in. It's like our 'safe area' or, as Kurama likes to call it, our 'second home'; where we made some furniture incase we stay the night there. I was out of breath, but Kurama seemed fine.
Our cave was really big, and we made it a little bigger by rounding and smoothing the inside of the cave, Kurama claiming that 'it's not safe for kits to run around and suddenly get hurt because the walls are sharp'. This cave felt more like home to me than my actual home, which is weird. There are four compartments that make up our second home. The first one is the biggest, the area that you first see when you walk in. It's the kitchen, a table with 4 chairs (for the highly unlikely event where we have guests), and the animal area, where me and Kurama puts toys and food for animals that just so happen to pass by. Yes, Kurama gave all actually peaceful animals access to this area, just no humans or any other thing that's alive. Not even summons.
The second compartment has two separate beds, one for me and one for Kurama, so I guess it's basically the bedroom. There was a tiny table with a drawer in between our beds, and even a closet for our clothes. A light was hanging above the table. There is a window there too. By the way, lights are everywhere, so it feels like a normal house, plus, we can dim the lights since we use fire.
The third compartment is just a guest room, because who knows if there's an injured animal, or just an injured person that I couldn't leave to die in the forest. Kurama would allow them to come in once, and go out once, and when they go out it'll be like we never existed. No cave, no entrance.
The fourth compartment is basically the storage room. We put scrolls, empty or not, medicine that I made (Kurama taught me), weapons, yeah, basically everything else.
My favorite part is our huge garden! It has our fruits, vegetables, which Kurama doesn't like, flowers, and all our herbs. I even took a picture of some trees to put up in our kitchen! Here it is!
Wisterias really are beautiful, they're one of my favorite trees in the meadow! This place is like a whole different world. The place is huge, so I can fit a lot of plants here. I bet you that Konoha would fit here, but instead of that place, imagine that whole area replaced by trees, plants, and animals. I like to wander around the forests, caves, and lakes here. Luckily, I can't get lost. Mainly because this place doesn't really exist in the world, it's kind of Kurama's dimension that he made. I then noticed how sleepy I was, and quickly got dressed into my pajamas again, heading towards to mini waterfall to wash my face and brush my teeth, I saw Kurama doing the same. I put my clothes from yesterday, because I didn't change my clothes last night, into a basket. I walked over to my bed, and laid down, not forgetting to turn off the lights.
"Good night, Kurama..." I mumbled, drifting off into sleep. Before everything went black, I heart a faint "Night, kit," from Kurama.
