Alastor has a nightmare and sneaks into reader's room, shakes her awake, she gets irritated until she gives up and cuddles with him

BANG!

Alastor jumped awake from his restless sleep, eyes darting around the room in shock, looking out for danger.

Heavily breathing and drenched in sweat, he cupped his head in his hands trying to calm down.

The room was dark and the mansion was silent, he turned to check the clock on his bedside table:
It read 02:17

He got off the bed with all of his remaining
strength, body still trembling from the jumpscare.

Making his way to the bathroom and turning on the switch, it took him a few moments to adjust to the blinding artificial light.

The reflection in the mirror showed his tired face, messy hairs and light bags under his eyes.

After putting on a robe, the nightmare slowly came back vividly in his mind.

The forest was calm, the birds chirping were sweetly accompanying him in his hide and seek game with the deers.

He opened the door that connected his room to the dark, still, silent, corridor.

Scouting for any movement, he scanned the area meticulously... As a slight movement of a bush caught his eye.

His slippers made a small puff every time they touched the soft red carpet. He walked slowly, without any rush.

Slowly approaching an area he could crouch in comfortably, he took the vision of his prey.

There were many doors in the long quiet corridor, specifically, four per wall. Even so, the one he was heading to, was one... a special one.

The deer was pacific, it was an adult male, his slender majestic body was upright, scanning for any incoming danger.

Y/n was a beautiful demon, one of the only demons Alastor enjoyed the company of. She was independent and very brilliant, he was very glad she met her and still questioned how she even got into hell.

He positioned his loyal hunting rifle, took aim, and hold his breath...

BANG!!!

When he looked up, there wasn't a dead deer, but Y/n, a bullet between her eyes, lying in a puddle of her own blood.

He slowly turned the door handle, hoping that it wasn't going to make any loud noises. And there lied Y/n, peacefully sleeping in her bed.

"Y/N!!!" Alastor screamed as he realised his mistake, dropping the rifle, rushing towards her lifeless body.

"Oh, my dear Y/n..." He stealthily made his way to the edge of her bed.

"Y/n wake up!!!" He shouted, grabbed her shoulders and shook her, hoping there would still be a chance
"Oh god please no! Don't tell me this is true! What have I done!"
He started sobbing, taking her lifeless body into one last thigh embrace. Blood covering his perfectly clean clothes.

He sat down on the edge of her bed, slightly shaking her " Y/n...".
"Mm..." she made a small cute noise, as she switched side she laid on.
Alastor kept shaking her until she awoke "Mhmm... Al ?" She rubbed her eyes as she turned to check the clock on her bedside table.

"Al its the middle of the night!" She complained "Why did you wake me up!? You know I didn't sleep well last night!" She angrily mumbled, shooing him away. Turning to the other side.

"Y/n please" she stopped "I- I know I shouldn't have waked you up... and I..." he trailed off, she turned towards him.

"I know I'm supposed to be strong and fearless but... right now... I'm weak... I'm afraid... please Y/n...I need you" On her face bloomed a small happy smile.

She scooted to the side and patted the empty space next to her "c'mon Al, we both need some sleep"

He carelessly trowed his robe on a nearby chair, he joined Y/n under the sheets and where usually he would hold her, this time, it was her who let him put his head against her chest, calming him down with the beat of her heart, reassuring him with her warm embrace.
