Chapter 7: One Alakamazing Contest
VALANT'S POV
"Uncle Valant? Are you feeling better?" I sluggishly looked towards the sound of the voice. It was Trucy. In time for waiting for my upset stomach to settle, I had taken a quick nap. I had a dream where I was a cat, and was surrounded by mountains of tuna. The dream made me hungry. I shrugged. "I dunno..." Trucy pouted. "Uncle Valant... I wanna have this eating contest!" I sighed, patting her head. "And I do too, Truce. But I still feel a slight gurgley (is that a word?) feeling in my stomach, and I don't want to risk getting even sicker." Trucy huffed, sitting next to me. "Alright... Can't you tell your stomach to get better faster?" I shook my head. "I can talk to animals, Truce, not organs." (That's another headcanon I have for Valant, BTW) She huffed again, turning away. There's gotta be some way to make the time go faster... Suddenly, an idea clicked in my head. "Hey Trucy. Why don't we watch some Jammin' Ninja?" She immediately brightened up at that. "Yeah!! I love Jammin' Ninja!" She gasped. "Wait! How about we watch Moana?!?!" I thought for a minute. Moana was a pretty cool movie. I mean, it almost beat Zootopia as my favorite Disney Movie. (It did for me, but I figured Valant likes his bunnies.) Plus... Moana is kind of hot.. ('Syd, that's pedopheliaaa. He's 46, she's like, 19!' I know that. It's not like I'm shipping them. Pretty sure lots of middle aged men have a crush on Moana. I mean, tbh, I would if I wasn't straight. But I'm not middle aged or a man so I guess I can't talk.) "Sure. Let's watch Moana."
-ONE HOUR AND 53 MINUTES LATER- (Yes, that is the length of the movie. I looked it up) "That was just as good as it was the second time! Or... was it the third time?" Trucy giggled, turning to me. "What do you think, Uncle Val?" I nodded, chuckling. "Yeah.. And it was third time. I think the second time, you fell asleep because we watched it really late at night." Trucy giggled again. The more I listened to her laugh, the more I realized that it sounded a lot like her mother's. Like, it was practically identical. Like mother, like daughter, I guess.. I chuckled to myself, when Trucy's stomach growling brought be back to reality. "Oh yeah! I almost forgot! Uncle Valant!" She paused to turn off the Wii U. "You owe me an eating contest!" I sighed, rolling my eyes. I had forgotten about that contest.. "R-right! Well, I feel better. Let's eat then." Trucy cheered, jumping happily. "Yeah!" I suddenly paused. "Wait.. What do we eat? Ice cream would give the two of us brain freezes." Trucy paused as well. "You're right... Hmm..." Suddenly, Trucy took out her magic panties. "Uh... What are you doing with those?" I asked. Trucy giggled. "You'll see!" After a small bit, Trucy suddenly pulled some blueberry pies out of her panties. (For you non AA players who read this.. This is canon. I promise. She pulled a frozen chicken out of her panties once.) "We can eat these pies!" I grinned, patting the girl on the head. "Heh, just like your dad." She smirked, putting the pies on the coffee table for us to eat. "Let's see... That's about 6 each! That should be enough to begin with." I nodded, looking at the pies. "Yup. Let's get eating." Trucy grinned, sitting down at the coffee table. I sat down next to her, starting to drool a bit. Trucy snickered. "Uncle Valant... Don't drool on the pie." I immediately blushed out of embarrassment. "Sorry.. Let's just start the contest before I die of starvation." Trucy nodded. "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot." She smirked, putting her arms behind her back. "You can't use your hands at all. You gotta use your mouth." I chuckled nervously. "Pfft, no big deal.." Ugh, not even my hands? Welp.. Here we alakago.. Trucy grinned, probably having noticed my nervousness. If she did, she didn't say so. "Ready?" She asked, still keeping that grin on her face. I nodded, returning her grin with a smirk of my own. "Of course." Trucy grinned. "Then let's eat!" Then we did. We put our faces in the pie and ate. And ate, and ate. Nothing to it. Just a 17 year old girl and her 46 year old uncle having a pie eating contest together. Blueberry will always be my second favorite pie flavor... Only lemon meringue beats it.
-TWO HOURS LATER- (How long do eating contests last? I mean, they only ate, like, 6 pies each. Well, Valant got through 8, but you know) "Well, Uncle Valant.." Trucy stifled a burp. "Looks like you won this contest.." The two of us were leaning in front of the couch, stuffed to the brim with blueberry pie. I looked over at the coffee table. I didn't know how many pies there were, but empty pie tins were everywhere on it. The only hint of blueberry pie was around me and Trucy's mouth. I nodded, rubbing my stomach. "Mhm.." I've..... never eaten so much pie.... in my life... I groaned as my stomach gurgled. "Trucy.... Was this eating contest really a good idea?" She shrugged. "I'm not sure.. but those pies were good." I nodded again. "Yup. Delicious.." She looked up at me. "You know, Uncle Valant.. I knew you could eat a lot..." Her face turned to one of appreciation. "But 8 pies?! That's amazing!" I chuckled. "Well... Yeah, I guess.." She continued to grin. "You guess?! Those pies were jumbo size!!" I raised an eyebrow at her. "No, seriously! Those were the biggest pies I found!" She continued to ramble, leaving me to think for a second. Those pies were pretty big.. I mean, I started to feel a bit stuffed after eating 4 of them. I'm surprised I even got through 8. Trucy only managed like, 5. Suddenly, I belched loudly, my stomach loudly gurgling afterwards. Trucy snickered. "Excuse you, Uncle Vally." I sighed, looking around. "We should probably clean up these pie tins before your mother gets home." Trucy nodded, starting to rub her stomach. "Yeah... But..." She hiccupped. "I don't feel like getting up.." I stifled a belch as I replied. "Yeah... Me either." We simultaneously sighed, sliding down onto the floor below us. "Uncle Valant?" I turned to her, both hands on my stomach. "Yeah?" She hiccupped. "I don't think I'll be able to eat for awhile.." I felt my stomach gurgle as I nodded. "Me either.." I don't feel so... good... I felt my eyelids grow heavy as I continued to lie on the floor with Trucy. I saw Trucy say something, but it was inaudible as I was falling asleep. How can people do this casually...? Or competitively? I belched lightly, before everything faded to black.
-X/XX/2028, 5:00 PM, MCDONALD'S- (Yes, Valant's apartment is near a McDonald's. Shut up, that's why)
THALASSA'S POV
"Thank you, and have a nice day!" I waved at the McDonald's employee as I left the restaurant. "You too!" I replied, smiling at her. Why can't all people be like this? (Good question, Thalassa.) I walked off, holding the McDonald's bag in one hand, and my purse in another hand. While Valant had been taking care of Trucy, I had been out. I went to walk around the park a bit, just enjoying the spring breeze, then went to McDonald's to get the two of them dinner. Valant is too lazy to cook, and Phoenix doesn't trust Trucy around an oven. Although, she WAS doing just fine before it caught on fire. After about 20 minutes of walking, I arrived and knocked on the door. "Valant? Trucy? You here?" No answer. Huh.. That's strange. I knocked again. Yet again, there was no answer. Guys?! Where are you?! Don't scare me like that.. I opened the door with the extra house key Valant gave me, and walked in. "Val? Trucy?" I looked around, going to Val's room to put my purse away for a second. I walked out of his room, when I heard a loud gurgley sound coming from the living room. What.... in the world of magic..... was that? I headed into the living room to find a bunch of pie tins on the coffee table. "Pie tins..? What th- Of course..." I looked up towards the couch to find Valant and Trucy passed out on the floor, with what looked like, blueberry, all around their mouths. What in the world did these two do while I was gone? I went over to Valant, shaking him a bit, but not too much, or he would most likely barf all over my favorite dress. Valant groaned quietly, but continued to sleep. I heard his stomach gurgle as I continued to lightly shake him. Val... Just how much did you eat? After a bit more shaking, he woke up. "T-Thalassa? Is... that you?" I nodded, smiling at him. "Yeah, it's me. You alright?" He shook his head, clutching his stomach. "My... stomach hurts.... really bad." He then sat up. I looked down at his stomach, poking it for no reason. "Thalassa.. That kinda hurts." His stomach gurgled when I poked it again. "Sorry.." I looked over at Trucy, who had her hand on her stomach. "I'm going to guess that you two had an eating contest or something like that?" Valant nodded, rubbing his stomach. "Mhm... Trucy asked me to do it." I chuckled. "Sounds like something she'd do. What'd you guys even eat?" Valant hiccupped. "Blueberry pie." I looked at his face. He had blueberry all over his mouth, and so did Trucy. "I can tell... you have blueberry all over your mouth. Trucy does too." He nodded, smiling lightly. "I know... But if I eat anything else, I'm going to burst..." I frowned for a second. "But... It's such a small amount.. Can't you just lick it off?" Valant sighed. "I'll try..." He licked the blueberry pie off of his mouth. For a minute, nothing happened, then his face suddenly turned a dark shade of green. "Uuuuuungh...." I gasped, hugging him out of instinct. "V-Valant?! Are you ok?!" He groaned, clutching his stomach. "Thalassa.... It hurts...." I rubbed his back to try and soothe the poor guy. "Did that make you feel a bit sick?" He slowly nodded, leaning on me. "Ohh god, Val.. I shouldn't have asked you to eat it..." He smiled sympathetically, lightly hugging me. "It's not your fault, Lassa.. If I hadn't had this contest with Trucy, this wouldn't be a problem...." I sighed, returning his hug. "It's no one's fault, Valant.." Well.... except for Trucy's. But she's just a kid.. "Thalassa?" I looked down at him, still rubbing his back. "Yes?" He grinned, despite his obvious pain. "You being here makes me feel slightly better..." I felt my cheeks grow hot as he said that. "R-really?" He nodded, hugging me tighter. "Mhm.. You being near me in general makes feel good." I felt my blush grow. "Gee... Thanks, Valant..." He chuckled lightly. "Y-you're alakawelcome." I noticed that while we were talking, Val's face had flushed back to his normal color, and his stomach wasn't gurgling as much. Maybe I did make him feel better after all... "Feeling better, Valant?" He shrugged. "Slightly." I beamed at him. "That's good.. I brought some McDonald's and-." "Whoa whoa whoa, Thalassa!" He cut me off. "I said 'Slightly', not '100% better'.. Calm down.." I felt myself sweat out of embarassment. "Hehehe, yeah.. Sorry, Val." He sighed. "It's alright.. I'll eat it when I feel better. Actually.... I think I'd feel better with-" I heard yawning as Trucy slowly sat up. "Mommy..? Uncle Valant? What are you guys talking about?" Valant smiled at the kid. "Nothing much. You ok, kiddo?" Trucy nodded, beaming. "I'm fine!" I matched Valant's smile. "That's good to hear, sweetie." Trucy continued to beam, then looked around the room. "Eesh, that's a lot of pie tins we ate from, Uncle Valant.." Val nodded, sighing. "Yup.. And that's a lot to clean up." I giggled at them. "Well, then we'll all have to clean it up together! Maybe it'll ease your stomachs as well." The two of them nodded, grinning at each other. "We could make it a contest!" Trucy giggled. Valant nodded. "Yeah! And the winner can get the entire bag of McDonald's that Thalassa brought!" Trucy and Valant shook hands, gleaming that competitive smile that was well known in the Troupe. "Then it's a contest!" They got up, leaving me to sit there and watch as they speedily cleaned up. Yeesh... It's like dealing with Zak and Valant all over again. Then again, she is his direct descendant. A competitive nature runs in her blood. I sighed, standing up, and going after them to help clean up the pie tins. At least they're cleaning up, I suppose.
(Soooooooooooooo sorrrry for the wait! I was busy with other things, such as writing another fanfiction and ick, homework. This should be the last chapter of Alakacutie, but I'll leave it as incomplete in case I feel like making an 8th one. If I don't make an 8th one within the next month, I'll mark it as complete. But, for now, let's say it is complete! Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy this (possibly) final chapter!!)
