At noon in the palace

"Yes, well, indeed. Make yourself at home, Sultana." Sultan said nervously, walking towards his toy room.

"What's in there?" Sultana asked eagerly.

"Here? Oh, just my private... study."

The Sultana opens the door to the toy room. We can see that she is a tall, overweight woman and looks quite a bit like the Queen of Hearts from Disney's "Alice in Wonderland".

"Toys!"

Sultana runs inside.

"Yes, well, I thought we were in the west wing. A thousand and one rooms, you know!" Sultan said.

Aladdin, Y/N, and Jasmine follow them into the room.

"I think the Sultana is made for your father, Jasmine." Aladdin joked.

"Uh, hold that thought." Jasmine said.

"I just adore toys! Playing with little things is such fun!" Sultana said with excitement, playing with all the toys.

Sultan runs after her, setting all the toys back as they were.

"Pity that you must return to your kingdom so soon, isn't it?"

"I could squeeze in a few more." Sultana suggested.

"Days?" Sultan asked with hope.

"Weeks!"

He looks deflated to hear that.

"Oh, how... delightful."

Rajah enters the room and starts growling at the Sultana.

"Rajah! That's no way to greet a guest." Jasmine scolded.

"Oh, you can let him go. I'm a real cat person at heart." Sultana said a little more menacingly.

Y/N notices that tone and doesn't like where this is going, getting suspicious. Rajah slinks away, still growling.

"Rajah!" Aladdin said with surprise.

Sultana looks at a model of Agrabah.

"Dear Sultan, you must be so proud! Agrabah is a beacon of peace and prosperity."

"Oh oh oh! Very delicate! Oh my." Sultan nervously agreed.

She picks up model buildings.

"An inspiration to the entire Seven Deserts. What with its wise and benevolent sultan. Happy and contented citizens."

"Careful, careful, please!" Sultan exclaimed.

"A model of perfect, placid harmony. Which is why it must be destroyed!"

"What?!" Jasmine exclaimed in shock.

The sultana throws the palace down, smashing the entire model city.

"No!" Sultan cried out.

"Fools!" Sultana laughed evilly.

Genie shows up dragging Rajah into the room.

"Hey, guys! Something spooked the kitty!"

He looks up at the sultana.

"Yipes!"

The sultana transforms into Mirage.

"Mirage!!" Aladdin and Y/N glared.

"I was afraid of that!"

Genie disappears.

"When will you learn? Your stupid tricks can't beat me or sis!"

"Are you here for a rematch? 'Cause I can beat you again."

Mirage and Y/N had a huge battle against each other with magic and it wasn't pretty. Mirage tried to cheat, but Y/N managed to beat her fair and square.

"Until now. Poor Aladdin. Poor Y/N. While you were busy giving the sultana the royal treatment, I had already cast Agrabah's fate in stone."

Mirage points out the window. There is a small black pyramid just outside the city walls.

"Good heavens!" Sultan gasped.

"A dark destiny will overcome your fair palace. The soul of the city will be ripped apart!"

Mirage rips up a kite hanging from the ceiling, laughs, then disappears. Genie comes out from hiding from behind a toy.

"Whew! Evil incarnate has left the building!"

"What could it do? It's just a pyramid." Aladdin said.

"I wouldn't say that. You'll be surprised what's behind those things." Y/N warned.

The pyramid starts to rise out of the ground, and that it is actually just the top of an obelisk.

"Correction! It's just an obelisk. I'll get a closer look."

Genie looks at the obelisk through binoculars.

"Oh, it's almost like I can reach out and touch it! Woo, these are powerful."

Genie lowers the binoculars, and we can see that he has actually teleported himself right next to the obelisk and is touching it.

"Well, it's a nice monument, but I don't see what the big, hairy danger is."

Genie drops the binoculars and walks away. The as the sun moves, the obelisk's shadow grows, and when it reaches the binoculars, the part of them that's in the shadow disappears.

"That'll do it."

Genie reappears at the palace.

"Well, it's a nice monument, but I don't see- Genie!" Aladdin stopped to see him.

"Everything is going to be fine. Al, N/N, can I have a word with you two?"

Genie teleports himself, Aladdin, and Y/N into the garden, next to a sundial.

"Al, N/N, we're doomed!"

"Whoa! What's wrong?" Y/N asked with concern.

"Genie, what?" Aladdin asked.

"Mirage's little civic improvement has a killer shadow!" Genie exclaimed.

"A shadow?" they questioned in unison.

"Everything that shadow touches is wiped out of existence!"

"And it's high noon. So as the sun sets, the shadow stretches."

"Yes. Like I said, doomed!"

Iago, True, and Abu arrive and look at the sundial.

"Aha, I thought it was lunchtime!" Iago said.

"Yeah! Yum yum!" Abu agreed.

True rolled her eyes at that nonesense.

"Eh, what is this, a Tuesday? Yeah, I think the royal chef is whipping up his famous fish kabobs." Iago said.

"Guys, Agrabah is about to be wiped off the map!" Aladdin warned.

"It's serious!" Y/N added.

"Okay, so we'll take 'em to go." Iago said.

A short while later, Aladdin, Y/N, and their friends, including Razoul are standing next to the obelisk.

"That's a strange looking pyramid." Razoul said, tapping it.

"We've defeated Mirage before; we'll do it again." Aladdin declared.

Mirage's reflection appears on the side of the obelisk.

"And I'd be disappointed if you didn't try. I'll even give you a sporting chance. There exists a magic mirror that can stop the shadow, but it can only be found at the top of the world."

"Oh, how convenient!" Iago sarcastically said.

"Then don't go. And as the people of Agrabah succumb to their dark fate they will curse the heroes who failed: Aladdin and Y/N."

Mirage then disappears.

"We've gotta go get that mirror!" Aladdin said.

Y/N turned to her fiancé.

"Evacuate everyone in town as much as you can before the shadow gets to them."

"I'll do my best. Be careful, my flower."

With a kiss on the lips, Razoul runs off to call the guards.

"Not necessarily. They haven't built the magical obelisk that I can't demolish!" Genie said.

Iago, True, Abu, and Carpet back away.

"Eh, not that I don't have faith in him..."

Genie becomes a scientist.

"I shall find the precise point of structural weakness."

Genie writes mathematical formulas all over one side of the obelisk, then draws an X on it.

"Eureka. Now I shall endeavor to..."

He changes into a karate outfit.

"Pulverize it with a hi-yah!"

Genie kicks the X. The obelisk is undamaged, but Genie shatters into dust. Aladdin, Y/N, and Jasmine winced at that.

"Oooh..."

Genie whimpers, holding his foot in pain.

"Ooh ooh! Ow! Maybe you'd better look for that mirror, just in case."

"Maybe?! What're you waitin' for?! That shadow is creeping straight to the palace!"

Iago turns to Jasmine.

"I place I'd like to call home someday."

"Okay, I'll stay here and work on the large, immovable object. You guys go, and dress warm."

Genie zaps Aladdin, Y/N, and Jasmine into shorts and tank tops.

"Oops, sorry."

He zaps them again, and they're wearing winter clothes.

"Thanks, Genie. Come on, Carpet." Aladdin said.

"Wait! Doesn't anyone think it's odd that Mirage told us about the mirror? It could be a trap." Jasmine said, looking worried.

"She's right. She's a cat, and cats can be very sneaky about it." Y/N said, feeling suspicious.

"But she probably thinks we think that. Or would she think that we think that she thinks that? Ooh, she's tricky!" Iago said.

"She thinks I can't do it, but she has a surprise coming! Let's go! Top of the world, Carpet!" Aladdin said.

Everyone but Genie flies away.

"Alright, you evil edifice!"

He turns into a construction worker.

"You're a public eyesore. And it is my official duty to wipe you off the landscape!"

Genie charges at the obelisk with a bulldozer, but the obelisk is unharmed while the bulldozer is crushed.

"Kids, don't play on or around heavy machinery. Somebody always gets hurt."

In the north pole

"Where do we look for the mirror?" Jasmine asked.

"Something tells me we're close!" Iago said.

"We're getting warmer, I feel it." Aladdin assured.

"Warmer?"

Abu shivers.

"Look!" Y/N said, pointing at something ahead.

They've come to an ice cave shaped like a scary face.

"New plan: we evacuate the palace and live in exile on some resort island. There's no shame in that." Iago nervously said.

"We're going in!" Aladdin declared.

They fly into the cave.

"Nada. No mirror. Carpet, let's move."

Mirage's shadow is on the wall of the cave.

"Congratulations, Aladdin and Y/N. You have reached the enchanted cavern. Deep within you will find many mirrors, but only the one that reflects the truth beneath appearances will save your city."

"What if we choose the wrong mirror?" Jasmine demanded.

Mirage laughs, and her shadow disappears.

"Okay, I'm freaking." Iago gulped.

"This way!"

They follow Aladdin deeper into the cave.

"Ooh, it's..."

"...a lot of mirrors."

There are mirrors covering the walls of the cave. Abu is close to some of them, and there are several reflections of him.

"Whew! For a minute I thought it was a room full of monkeys!" Iago said.

"Hey!"

True looks at the reflection of herself and gets swoon of how pretty she is. Y/N rolls her eyes in amusement. She looks around the mirrors to see herself. Y/N then notices something and snickers. True looks confused and approaches her. Her eyes widen at the sight she wishes she can unsee. There before her is herself and Xerxes together all lovey dovey.

"Looks like you have a future." Y/N joked, making True hiss at her.

"Shut up!!"

Meanwhile in Agrabah, the obelisk's shadow destroys the city gates and continues down the street. As it continues on it cuts through buildings. Razoul grows worried and keeps evacuating everyone with the help of his guards.

"Okay, I'll try the old-fashioned approach."

Genie turns into Paul Bunyan and chops at the obelisk with his axe, while another Genie, as his blue ox, Babe, tries to pull the obelisk down. The axe doesn't hurt the obelisk, but it does cut the rope tying the ox to the obelisk.

"Kids, don't play with sharp objects. Someone always gets hurt, don'tcha know."

Back to the ice cave

"Don't let him touch anything! Remember the Cave of Wonders incident." Iago warned.

"Don't remind me..." True sighed, remembering being stuck in that cave.

Abu chatters angrily at Iago. Meanwhile, Carpet admires himself in a mirror.

"You're beautiful. Come on!" Aladdin said with a smile.

"Hmm... the truth behind appearances..." Jasmine said with a thoughtful look.

"What does that mean?" Aladdin asked.

"Riddles can be so hard and I hate it." Y/N groaned.

Abu finds a mirror that makes him look muscular.

"Ooh! Ha cha cha!"

"Let's just make a random selection and-"

Iago stops and sees his reflection.

"Hello!"

Iago lands next to another mirror, one that shows him wearing gold and jewels.

"I like this mirror. It knows that greatness lies beneath my feathered exterior."

Aladdin walks past a mirror that shows his reflection wearing his normal "streetrat" outfit. He picks it up.

"I found it!"

Iago tries to pull his mirror free, but it won't budge.

"Iago! No!" Y/N shouted in alarm.

But the parrot keeps pulling and gets the mirror loose.

"Got it!"

The cave starts to collapse.

"Wrong choice!" Mirage voiced out.

"Everybody out!" Aladdin shouted.

"Fine by me!" Iago said.

Jasmine tries to run away, but her cape is caught by a giant fallen icicle.

"Jasmine!"

Another icicle is about to fall on Jasmine.

"Carpet!"

Aladdin sets down the mirror, and he, Y/N, True, and Carpet fly over to Jasmine and pull her loose just in time. Iago tries to fly away, but Abu grabs his tail.

"Hey! Let go!"

An icicle falls right where Iago would have been if Abu hadn't stopped him. Carpet picks them up and they all fly toward the exit.

"Wait! The mirror!" Y/N reminded.

They fly back and pick up the mirror right before it's smashed. They make it out of the cave just before it completely collapses.

"You did it. You found the magic mirror." Jasmine smiled.

"Was there ever a doubt?" Aladdin said jokingly.

"That's what bothers me. The way everything just fell into place."

"No, everything fell in that place."

Abu points at Iago and chatters at him angrily.

"It was not my fault! I picked a good mirror. That cave just wasn't built to code, that's all."

"I just don't trust Mirage." Jasmine voiced out.

"She is evil incarnate. Of course, she can't be trusted. But she can be beat." Y/N said.

Later at the palace, in the throne room. Aladdin and his friends fly into the room on Carpet.

"Aladdin! Good news, I trust?" Sultan asked eagerly.

"Eh, Mirage never had a chance." Aladdin said.

Genie pops out.

"Oh, yes! The home team has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat!"

"Genie? I thought you were working on the obelisk." Y/N asked, looking suspicious.

"Oh, pshaw. I knew I could kick back when you got that magic mirror."

"How did you know we found the mirror?" Jasmine asked, looking suspicious as well.

"It's not like you were there to help when we nearly got iced!" Iago added.

"Yeah!" Abu agreed.

"Is there something you're not telling us?" True asked.

Genie laughs nervously, making Y/N even more suspicious.

"Well, I am a genie. I know these things."

He turns into a chef.

"I know why the French eat snails,"

He turns into a triangle.

"I know the hypotenuse of the Bermuda triangle,"

Genie turns back to normal.

"and most of all, I know that you had better stop that shadow!"

"No problem. I'll be back in time for a late lunch."

"Be careful, Aladdin. Something's not right here." Y/N said, looking at Genie.

"Relax, I got this."

Aladdin gets on Carpet and flies out of the palace. The obelisk's shadow has now reached the Marketplace.

"The shadow!" Woman screamed, running away.

A melon vendor tries to run away from the shadow, but runs into a dead end. He manages to get away just before the shadow destroys his cart of melons.

Aladdin and Carpet fly up and land on the palace roof. Aladdin points the mirror at the obelisk, and there's a flash of light.

"Hey, I think it worked."

The shadow moves backwards, restoring everything that it caused to vanish. Then the obelisk disappears.

"Aladdin has saved Agrabah!" Merchant cheered.

Aladdin flies over the city, and the people cheer at him.

Back in the throne room

"Aladdin has triumphed! Come, Princess!"

Sultan walks away.

"What did he just say?" Y/N asked, feeling she misheard him.

Jasmine is just as confused as her.

""Princess"? Father, you never call me-"

"Here he is, dearest!"

Aladdin and Carpet fly into the room.

"Piece of cake!" Aladdin said.

"Bravo, my boy! You have earned a richly deserved rest." Sultan cheered happily.

Genie wears a Hawaiian shirt.

"Dudes, it's time to par-tay all night!"

"Party! Party! Party!" Abu chanted.

"That's right! Whenever a city escapes annihilation you can always find frolicking and free fish kabobs. Driver! Let's hit the town!"

Carpet flies up to them, Iago and Abu jump on, and they fly out of the palace. After they left, Y/N is left with a thoughtful look. She knows something is not right here. The way Genie and the Sultan act is so unlikely of them. She glances at Genie, who's sculpting a statue of Aladdin.

"This one's for you, Al. It is called, "Hero Who Has Saved City From Many Deadly Dooms, But None So Nasty As Most Recent.""

"Hm, it's lovely, Genie. But I prefer the real thing."

Jasmine takes Aladdin's arm.

"Me too!"

Iago, Abu, and Carpet are standing in the doorway. True was confused. Weren't they out to the marketplace?

"Hi, Al, buddy!"

"Hi, Al!"

Carpet waves to Aladdin.

"Uh, you guys, okay?" Aladdin asked with concern.

"Okay? We're fantabulous! After you, Abu." Iago offered.

Abu shook his head.

"Nuh uh uh! After you!"

"I insist! You first!"

Aladdn, Y/N, True, and Jasmine are watching this with their jaws hanging open.

"My friend, let us enter together, as brothers, as equals."

Abu and Iago walk into the room with their arms around each other.

"Aladdin, Y/N, don't you think they're acting a little... strange." Jasmine said.

"A little?" Aladdin repeated.

"Hey, get with it! Those two kids have caught that good time lovin' feeling!" Genie said, interrupting their thoughts.

Sultan enters the room.

"My dear boy! The whole city is cheering for you! Once again you have defeated that nefarious creature, Mirage!"

"Was there ever a doubt? And, uh, that still bothers you, huh, Jasmine?"

"Aladdin, bro, it's not that she and I doubt you. Something feels... wrong." Y/N said, not liking where this is going.

True nods in agreement, slightly backing away from the weirdos.

"Indeed. It's wrong that our young hero is not celebrating victory!"

Sultan pulls Aladdin out of the room.

"I'll join you later." Jasmine said.

"Same for me." Y/N nodded.

In Jasmine's room, Jasmine is looking into her mirror while Y/N is sitting on the couch, thinking with True around her neck.

"I should be happy like everybody else."

"Don't be so hard on yourself. I believe something is not right with everyone." Y/N assured.

Jasmine's reflection changes to Genie.

"So, ditch the introspection and party up! Woo!"

Genie jumps out of the mirror and starts dancing.

"Genie, I have this strange feeling that this is not the palace where I grew up." Jasmine said.

"Yeah, don't you think it's odd?" Y/N voiced out.

Suddenly, Genie changes into Mirage.

"It's more than a feeling. It's a fact."

Y/N shot up in shock and anger while True hisses.

"Mirage!"

Before Y/N could attack with her magic, they're suddenly in Morbia, inside Mirage's sphinx-shaped home.

"Welcome to my home, Y/N, Princess Jasmine. Your little friends missed you so."

"What?!" they exclaimed in unison.

Iago, Abu, and Carpet run up to Jasmine and Y/N.

"The princess! Y/N! You're here to rescue us, right?" Iago said.

"Wrong. Like yourselves, the princess and that fool magic girl came too close to spoiling my fun with Aladdin."

"But the kid beat your stupid shadow! We all saw it with our own eyes!" Iago exclaimed.

"You have to see the truth beneath the appearances." Jasmine quoted, remembering Mirage's riddle.

"One mistake and you people hold it against me forever."

"No, she means that wasn't really Agrabah. It was all a mirage!" Y/N exclaimed in realization.

"Exactly. And what a mirage! The counterfeit Agrabah was easy, but to make convincing copies of you, that took a little research by"

Mirage turns into the sultana.

"the sultana."

"So, it was all phony. The palace, the fish kabobs, everything!" Iago growled.

"Except Aladdin."

"And the arrogant hero is having too much fun as a winner to realize that he is about to be the loser."

Mirage uses her magic to show them Aladdin standing with copies of Jasmine, Y/N, and Sultan.

At the obelisk, at sunset. The real Genie is still trying to deal with the problem.

"I can't even dent this big, dumb, evil thing! I've failed!"

Genie looks around.

"I said, I've failed!"

Mirage appears before him.

"Of course, you failed, you silly blue dolt!"

Mirage makes Y/N, Jasmine, True, Abu, Iago, and Carpet appear.

"Now what?" Iago questioned.

"Mirage brought us back so she can gloat." Jasmine glared.

"Typical Mirage." Y/N rolled her eyes.

"Can you blame me? It's sunset and Aladdin is stranded in the middle of the desert. Time is up, and the hero has fallen."

"Oh, I don't know about that, Mirage."

The obelisk turns into Genie as a totem pole.

"Psych!"

"What?!" Mirage exclaimed in shock.

"Can't you tell a mirage when you see one?"

Genie "rolls up" the fake sky, and we can see that it is still not quite sunset.

"I'm not 100% clear on this but I think this is a good thing." Iago commented.

"So, for starters, we're not out of time yet!" Genie concluded.

"And Aladdin?" Y/N asked hopefully.

"Hit it, Al!"

Aladdin appears on Carpet, holding the mirror.

"Thanks, Genie!"

"It cannot be!" Mirage gasped.

Aladdin and Carpet fly toward the palace.

"Let's just say it's a good thing I check my messages."

Mirage angrily zaps Genie.

"No one makes a fool of Mirage!"

Genie coughs out, looking at the readers.

"Kids, don't play with evil incarnate. Somebody always gets hurt."

He then passes out.

Mirage teleports to the palace steps and tries to zap Aladdin as he approaches, but he dodges.

"You will not win this time, Aladdin!"

"This time and every time."

Aladdin stands on the palace roof and points the mirror at the obelisk. The obelisk's shadow starts to recede.

Mirage teleports to the top of the obelisk.

"The shadow must not be extinguished! It's the doom of Agrabah!"

"I don't think so." Genie grinned.

The shadow reaches the obelisk, which disappears in a puff of smoke, along with Mirage.

"No!!"

At the palace steps

"Pretty clever, eh? Tricking Mirage with a mirage?" Genie said.

"Just tell us, did we win for real?" Iago asked.

"Yeah. This time we won for real."

"But what about the people?" Y/N asked.

"All okay and safe."

They turned to see Razoul. Y/N smiles and runs towards him and hugs him.

That night in the throne room

"Aladdin, my dear boy, you delivered Agrabah from an unthinkable fate." Sultan said.

"And trounced evil incarnate... again." Genie added.

"Was there ever a doubt?" Jasmine joked.

"Yes, and it saved Agrabah."

Aladdin and Jasmine kiss, making Y/N smile at the two.
