On the other side of the bedroom door stood three red oni, or demons. They all had wide eyes, colorful face paint, and three horns on their heads- two long ones on the sides and one short yellow one in the center.

Panicking, Shindo and Makihara backed away from the creatures as they advanced. Then, the two decided to make a run for the bedroom door. Once they got out of the bedroom, Shindo ran left, and Makihara ran right.

A spiral staircase awaited him, and it took almost no time at all for him to rush up the stairs. Another door appeared at the top of the stairs, and Shindo went inside, locking the door behind him.

This time, he found himself in a gleaming white bathroom. He backed away as he heard loud banging on the door. The banging continued as cracks started to appear. Like before, Shindo began backing away, but he bumped into something this time.

Turning around, he came face to face with the Baku. To Shindo's wonder, it ended up spitting out a switchblade and an aluminum baseball bat.

One of the onis broke into the bathroom. However, it could not see Shindo because he crouched behind the ocean wave shower curtain. Shindo held the switchblade in one hand and the bat in the other. He stood still, holding his breath as the oni scanned the bathroom.

Thirty seconds passed, and Shindo came close to running out of breath. He had to make a move sooner or later. Closing his eyes, he thrust the switchblade forward, cutting through the curtain and puncturing the monster's right thigh. It let out a moan as Shindo pulled the blade out. He pulled back the shower curtain and noticed thick blood oozing from the thigh wound. Then, he grabbed the oni's right horn, pulled its head back, and slit its throat.

The oni started gasping for air as blood sprayed out of the wound and into the bathtub where Shindo stood. Finally, the oni slumped forward over the bathtub rim as its blood spiraled down the drain.

Meanwhile, Makihara found herself hiding in a closet, with the other two onis right outside. She needed to make a decision fast; could there be a weapon around? Feeling around the dark closet, Makihara picked up what appeared to be a revolver.

Just as she did so, the door got destroyed. Makihara took the gun and fired a shot into one oni's chest, killing it instantly. She tried to shoot again, but there were no more bullets left. The third and final one almost closed in on her, but then she heard a voice.

"Die, you motherfucker!"

The demon turned to see who shouted and was promptly met by a blow to the mouth from Shindo's baseball bat. The monster coughed up a mixture of blood- and teeth. He then delivered another blow to the top of the oni's head, sending it to the ground. Shindo then started bashing its head in, eventually splitting the skull wide open and sending a large amount of blood and brain matter all over the floor.

After calming down, Shindo said, "It's over now. You're safe."
