Chapter Eight - Kiss Me Again.

Chapter Eight - Kiss Me Again.

The moment Alec stepped off the plane he sighed in relief, he was so grateful to have the ground beneath his feet that he wished to just lay on the floor but Magnus arrived before he could do so. "I think I prefer Portals." Alec muttered as he glanced down at his trembling hands, Magnus smiled and took hold of his husband's hands, "Well, I think you were very brave." Magnus smiled kissing Alec's lips softly. Alec blushed scarlet and headed towards the conveyor belt to grab their bags, with Magnus holding his hand the entire way. They grabbed their bags and headed out onto the street, "Car or Portal?" Magnus questioned as they rounded a corner onto an empty street. "Hmm..." Alec thought with a smirk, "Portal?" Magnus nodded and hurriedly opened a Portal which the two of them immediately headed through.

The Portal spat the two of them out on a sandy beach. The murky moonlit waves lashed against the shore. Alec glanced over at Magnus who was smirking mischievously, not a good sign. "Magnus? What are we... Hey!" Alec yelled as Magnus hurriedly tied a scarf - which he had just silently summoned - tightly around Alec's eyes. "What the hell Magnus?!" Alec exclaimed, trying to undo Magnus's tight knot. "Well, I can't have the surprise ruined before we even get there!" Magnus replied gleefully as he took Alec by the hand and led him down the beach. Alec sighed and let Magnus lead him to their destination. Suddenly an idea came into his head and he smirked, "It's such a shame that I'm blindfolded. I can't enjoy this beautiful night here on the beach with my very handsome husband." He grinned as Magnus came to a halt, he felt the warlock turn to face him, could feel his breath gently caressing his face as his dark locks fluttered in front of his face.

There was no way Magnus would refuse to take the blindfold off now. Alec could barely contain a grin as Magnus placed a hand on the back of his head just below the blindfold. Magnus shuffled slightly closer so that their chests brushed with every racing breath. Alec just wished he could see Magnus's expression although he could guess what it would be like: eyes widened and a smile tilting his lips. Alec smiled just as Magnus's lips pressed to his. Magnus's arms wrapped around Alec's waist pulling the Shadowhunter towards him. Alec wound one of his feet behind Magnus's leg, without breaking the kiss, and tripped the warlock so that he landed on top of Magnus in the sand.

Magnus pulled back with a laugh as Alec flashed him a grin. "Did you just trip me?" Magnus asked.

"Maybe. Do you care?" Alec shrugged with a smirk.

"Not so long as you kiss me." Magnus laughed, Alec nodded and attempted to recapture Magnus's lips with his. Magnus laughed again, "Alec. That was my eye."

"Oh sorry. But in case you hadn't noticed I have a blindfold across my eyes so I can't really see." Alec retorted, trying to pull the blindfold down again so he could see Magnus's face. Magnus reached up and pulled Alec's hands away from the blindfold. "I'll do the honours." Magnus replied, a smile hinted at in his voice, "We're here now anyway."

Magnus clicked his fingers and the blindfold slid away from Alec's eyes. "You put a spell on it!" Alec exclaimed, blinking to get his vision clear again. Magnus shrugged, "What did I say would make up for tripping me?"

Alec smirked, "Okay, King of Glitter. Your wish is my command." He pressed his lips to Magnus's, hard. Magnus let out a groan and pulled Alec closer, kissing deeper. Alec laughed as the tide washed over his feet and he pulled back. "We should go." He told Magnus, still grinning.

"But I was enjoying myself." Magnus whined.

"Well, if you want to be washed away by the tide that's slowly coming in, be my guest." Alec told him, Magnus's mouth dropped open as he looked past Alec at the dark ocean. "Oh!"

Alec grinned as he clambered to his feet and pulled Magnus up beside him, "Come on." Magnus let Alec lead him up the sandy bank, he grinned as Alec gasped, "By the Angel." In front of them was a large house, the outside walls were adorned with seashells and from the second floor a balcony jutted out overlooking the ocean. The front was stood open waiting for them, Alec turned to Magnus and grinned. "I love it!" He murmured kissing Magnus hurriedly, Magnus smiled, "I'm glad you love it but it does leave one question."

"What's that?"

"Who will carry their husband over the threshold?"

Alec laughed, a blush creeping up onto his cheeks, "I don't know." Magnus grinned and wrapped his arms around Alec's neck, barely giving the Shadowhunter a chance to outstretch his arms before he swung himself up into Alec's embrace. "I think you should carry me." Magnus laughed.

Alec grinned, an adorable grin that Magnus loved the sight of more than anything, "Uh uh! No way! You proposed so you should carry me." Alec teased, but he didn't let Magnus down. Magnus laughed, "You're my husband with a stamina rune! You'll be fine!" He pressed his lips to Alec's cheek causing his blush to deepen a shade or two. Alec smiled, "Okay Glitter King. You win." He carried Magnus towards the house and through the open door, kicking it shut behind him.
