Investment Deal
Third Persons POV
"Thank you for coming Mr Ootori" Kari says. Kari Illuminati is a single mother and she istrying to get Yoshio Ootori to invest in her therapeutic centre. Which is easier then it sounds.
"Tell me Miss Illuminati, why should I invest in your park?" he asks her.
"The Ootori Group has made many medical break throughs. Funded the creation of many hospitals, medical supplies company and medical research centers. But have not founded or helped build a therapeutic centre. The water park could easily be considered therapeutic in nature for people who can't afford to actually go to the tropics or who may not have a passport. Or are to sick to travel. The park is extremely realistic with actual flora and fauna one would find in the tropical locales not native to Japan" she explains.
"Intriguing, but you would need a lot of money to fund this park of yours. What do I have to gain from working with you? When I could do this myself" he states.
"I already have everything planned and suppliers waiting for the money. I even have the building, I inherited it from my parents. So you won't have to do anything and will get twenty percent of the profit" she states.
"Not good enough" he tells her matter of factly.
"But I have nothing else to offer you" Kari tells him. Yoshio Ootori goes to leave when Kari's phone rings. "Sorry, it's my daughter" she says sheepishly as she answers the phone.
"Hey mum, I found some alligators for the park" Akima states.
"I thought I said no gators" Kari says.
"I know, but we have tropical birds and they'll be in their habitat. There are only half a dozen" Akima explains.
"We'll talk about this later" Kari tells here.
"Fine, I have dance practice anyway. See you at home" Akima says. Kari says goodbye and they hang up.
"I did not know you had a daughter" Yoshio says intrigued.
"Yes, Akima Ichijo. We lost her father ten years ago, but she carries his name with pride. She recently celebrated her 16th birthday" Kari tells him happily.
"Ichijo, any relation to Stu Ichijo?" Yoshio asks her intrigued.
"Her grandfather, he never approved of me and disowned my late husband when we married. But we did not care, we loved each other and had Akima shortly after. That was all we needed" Kari tells him.
"I have another proposition for you, I will give you the funds you need for your park. In exchange for twenty five percent of the profit and your daughter's hand in marriage to my youngest son Kyoya" Yoshio tells her.
"Why would you want one of your sons to marry my daughter?" Kari asks him confused.
"I have been looking for the right girl for him and think your daughter will be a good match for him. He is going to start his second year at Ouran Academy in two months" he states.
"I don't know Mr Ootori, my family has never done the whole arrange marriage thing. I don't think my daughter would be happy about this" Kari tells him.
"Well it's your daughter's hand in marriage or no deal. And good luck trying to find anyone else to fund your park" he tells her.
"Ok, but I have condition" she tells him. "If I agree, my daughter has the right to dissolve the marriage contract when she turns eighteen. If she does not grow feelings for your son" she states. "If that happens, I will spend the rest of my life repaying you for all the money you've put into the park" she tells him.
"Very well, I shall have my lawyers draw up the contract. Pleasure doing business with you Miss Illuminati" Yoshio says shaking her hand. Before leaving to go inform his family of the new investment. And to tell Kyoya of his new fiance.
(Time skip) Akima's POV
I arrive home to see mum has made my favourite for dinner. "What's the occasion?" I ask her as I join her at the table. After putting my bag down and removing my shoes.
"I got the investment" she tells me.
"That's great, does that mean we can get the gators?" I ask her. I love reptiles.
"I'll take a look at it" she says with a chuckle. "But Akima, it came with a price" she tells me.
"You mean their share of the profit?" I ask her.
"Yes, but they wanted twenty five percent instead of twenty. But they also wanted a marriage" she explains and I frown in confusion. "Their youngest son is about to start his second year at Ouran Academy. The place you got the scholarship for" she states.
"And they want him to marry me? But I am not an heiress or have anything to offer them business wise" I tell her.
"I know, but he seem to really like the idea and he wouldn't of invested without your hand. But you can annul the marriage contract when you turn eighteen. If you don't develop feelings for his son" she tells me.
"But then we'd have to pay him back and that could take years" I tell her. "I'll do this, for us both" I assure her. "When does the remodel start?" I ask her.
"In two days, think you can handle ordering the flora and animals?" she asks me.
"Of course" I tell her. She smiles and we ate in silence. Me thinking about my future. I wonder what this son is like? What's his name? Is he good looking? Would I like him? Guess I'll find out in two months when I go to Ouran Academy. Until then I can ask mum some questions and do some research on him myself.
