New Friends?
After your first encounter with the members, the life as an Akatsuki started to get comfortable. You and Konan quickly became friends. Not even by the fact that you were both girls, but you loved to scold the boys. You got the title of a "peacemaker".
Deidara was the worse of them all. Always running around chasing Tobi, blowing up things and fighting with Sasori over the meaning of the true art. You were surprised that he was the messiest one. You'd think Hidan made a huge mess, but he instantly started to clean up. You thought it was thanks to Konan and Pein.
With Hidan, you had other encounters. His way of speaking always angered you to the point you had the worst fight. Kakuzu was kind of thankful for this. He had the chance to just be alone with his money and problems. As a reward he asked you to join him on his body hunting sessions. You were glad for it (mostly for the extra money), but you knew he just wanted to ditch that silver haired idiot.
The others? Tobi was a big child. You loved to be with him, especially when he took his favorite afternoon naps. Pein wasn't the most social one, along with Sasori and Itachi. You spoke when it was necessary.
Kisame, after he discovered the fact that you can't swim, was brave enough to try and teach you. You aren't afraid of the water. No, you just sink, like a rock. He was patient, but has eventually given up on you. Instead of swimming lessons, he though you how to use a sword.
Zetsu was the creepiest thing you have ever met. An aloe-vera looking like plant, with cannibalism and the darkest humor ever? A pretty big nope. Although you loved his humor, not that you will ever say it out loud.
There was no real mission you were given. Only one. The cooking. The kitchen become your territory, and honestly it was a really good choice. If any other member cooked there was a chance, that no one remained alive on that night.
One day you were sitting in the living room (which was in a good state thanks to you) just reading. Konan came by, saw you, and instantly went for the kill.
- (Y/N) can I play with your hair? - you mocked her voice with a slight smile.
She remained quite, just absentmindedly playing with your hair. You let out a fake annoyed sight. As if he sensed your relaxed state, Hidan popped out of nowhere to lay on your thighs. You didn't reacted. No one can interrupt you while you are reading. As you were reading the next lines, slowly the other members started to invade the room. Kakuzu sat down across from you. You costed a glance at him, but forgot to look away. He had his mask of! You stared at his features, eyeing the stitches on his face, his brown hair.
Konan suddenly tugged on your hair causing you to snap out of it and concentrate on her. She sat next to you on the sofa and gestured behind you. You turned around to see Deidara patiently teaching Tobi how make a heart out of clay. Amused by the scenery, you smiled. That's when Itachi and Kisame came in.
With a small nod, they settled down. Itachi in the armchair, Kisame next to you. The blue man raised an eyebrow eyeing Hidan on your lap. You just shrugged.
- I don't want to fight tonight. - you explained quietly.
- That's a first one, bitch! - Hidan muttered into your lap.
And there goes your patience. You pushed Hidan, who landed on the floor. With loud cursing he sat up, staring at you. He opened his mouth again, probably to start yelling at you, but was interrupted by a gentle sound. Pain entered the room and sat down beside Konan. His unreadable eyes stared daggers at Hidan. The silver haired ninja was clever enough not to say anything. Raising his eyes at you, you rolled yours.
- Yes you can, but behave yourself. I would like to read in peace.
He nodded, then laid down on you again, harshly biting into your skin. You yelped and hit his head. Kisame laughed at the scene, trying to cover it up with a fake cough. You smiled a little, then started to read again.
You finished the current page, when, yet again, you were interrupted.
- What are you reading?
You were so shocked, that The Uchiha spoke to you, you almost didn't answer.
- It just some poetry. It's an omnibus edition of my favorite poems.
- Poems hn? - Deidara asked curiously – You don't seem like a poem person to me yeah.
- I am. It is a habit of mine, reading some of these when I want to think.
- About what hn?
- Love and hatred, death and life. Some things we meet in everyday life.
Deidara didn't said anything, just turned to Tobi, who wasn't there anymore. He came to us, and stood in front of us.
- (Y/N)- chan! Can you please read some of these out loud? I want to know, why you love them so much. - he pleaded, palms clapped together.
- I'd love to read these for you. But only if it isn't bothers the others.
You smiled at him sweetly, then looked around. Kakuzu grunted something under his breath, Kisame nodded, Itachi remained still. Konan smiled at you, while you saw Pain nodding his head in approval.
- Yes, you can read them. - chimed in Zetsu.
You stared in his direction wide eyed. How the hell did he came in, without you noticing him? He sat in the corner of the room, munching on something. You frowned when you realized, what was that. A finger. Kami-sama! How the hell did he find a finger?
You shook your head to clean out the pictured, which just started to form in your mind.
Meanwhile Tobi went back to work in his sculpture, and you braced yourself for the reading. You started to search for something acceptable. When I finally found one, I began to read it.
The faint smell of flowers is still lingering in the room
I'm standing next to the altar waiting for You
The grip on the bouquet loosens
My suffering heart lies in peaces
I've waited years for You to come
Now the youth of my life is gone
A shaking hand wipes away my tears
Wrinkled arms around my waist.
Familiar scent fills my nosetrills
My Father came for my rescue
He leads me away from the pain
To a world were I can find joy again
(Ágnes Skultétiová: The Long)
When you finished, you looked up to face everyone. Eager to get some feedback. They were doing what they did before, but you could tell they understood the meaning. Itachis eyes were on yours and he nodded to me.
- Please continue. - Hidans muffled voice reached your ears. Without pointing out that he said please, you began to recite another poem for them.
The time went by quickly, you didn't even realized it until Tobi announced, that he was hungry. You shared some laugh during the dinner, and when you went back to your room. Getting rid of your Akastuki coat, and tossing it away, you smiled for yourself. It was a good day. You sighed and absentmindedly reached for your lamp. You were shocked when you didn't felt the usual material. Instead you felt something smooth. You turned your attention to the item, only to find a heart shaped sculpture on you nightstand. With wide eyes you carefully took it. It was made from clay! You grinned when you noticed the little writing on the bottom.
From Tobi
You gently set down the item, then went to living room. There Tobi laid on the ground painting something.
- Tobi? Come here please.
- Yes, (Y/N)? Do you want something? - he asked with so much innocence in his voice.
You tiptoed and kissed him on his mask. He instantly became flustered.
- Thank you Tobi, the present is very beautiful.
- Of course it is, because I gave it to a beautiful girl! - he shouted than ran away – Tobi is a good boy, because Tobi made (Y/N)-chan smile! Senpai! Can you hear me?
You giggled to yourself, suddenly feeling your heart over-helmed with emotions.
(Okay, sooo... It took forever to make... Sorry about that. University sucks. I wrote a poem for this chapter guys, yes it is kinda depressing, but I like it. It's my first poem in english, so be gentle please. Anyway I hope you liked it. See you next time <3 )
