EARLY YEARS:

Madara was born into the infamous Uchiha clan prior to Konohagakure's founding so he technically didn't grow up in a Village although the Uchiha did have a compound in the Fire Nation.

He reports that his father was extremely abusive and a perfectionist, often employing corporal punishment to get the results he wanted from his sons. His mother died in childbirth giving birth to his younger brother Izuna. Madara felt an overwhelming need to protect and look after his brother and to especially protect him from their father.

Around age 10, he met Hashirama Senju, a member of a rival clan. They formed a friendship amidst war but he ultimately had to forsake the friendship at his father's and Clan's orders. These two would be rivals and friends off and on over the ensuing years and there are rumours that they were also off and on lovers although Hashirama would go on to marry Mito Uzumaki and father at least one child with her.

Madara and Izuna fought Hashirama and his younger brother Tobirama (note: there were two other Senju brothers but they were killed by the Uchiha) often. When discussing his brother's death at the hands of Tobirama, Madara became visibly angry and his body tensed but he was able to bring himself under control and continue the interview.

He recalls being "heartbroken" and "fixated on revenge" after Izuna passed and he freely admits he continued the conflict with the Senju, often goading them into battles and launching surprise attacks that generally ended in massacres. Revenge and his enjoyment of it is a strong emotion in Madara and he often looks pleased or happy when discussing his battles and the lives he took.

After numerous clashes and battles, the Uchiha and the Senju agreed to a truce and the task of founding and building Konohagakure took precedence for him. Madara explained to writer that from the start the "so-called" Village was rigged to hate the Uchiha from the start, beginning with Hashirama's election to Hokage.

Slamming his fist on the table, Madara seethed "I should've won that election! Hokage is a Uchiha right!", disregarding the fact that Konoha is a democracy not a dictatorship. Despite Hashirama wanting to amend Konoha's Constitution to allow for a Uchiha occupied government post, Tobirama blocked his legislation and effectively ended any chance of the Uchiha being active participants in Konoha's electoral process.

This seeded resentment in this prideful man and he began to lead his Clan away from partnership with the Senju and onto their own path.

When Hashirama died and Tobirama became the next Hokage after a contentious election, Madara states that was the "moment I decided Konoha, and the Senju, everyone really, must die" and to "restore the Uchiha to their rightful glory". Madara, along with his Clan, fled Konoha and launched a surprise war on the Village.

After sustaining serious wounds during his battle with Tobirama and eventually killing him, Madara fled to safety. However, his Clan decided to abandon him and accept Konoha's offer of amnesty if they forsake Madara and his leadership.

For their supposed loyalty, the Village isolated them to their own compound outside the main Village and created the Police Force to keep them engaged and employed but refused to allow them much more than the barest of civil rights, leading to a long period of resentment (see Itachi Uchiha's report for further details).

Madara began living in seclusion and in secret. He let the world assume he had perished. It wasn't until he rescued Obito Uchiha that he found a purpose again.

PRE-AKATSUKI:

During this time period Madara seemingly adopted Obito Uchiha, a Genin from Konoha who was left for dead during the Third Shinobi War. It is interesting to note that despite using Obito to fulfill Madara's own selfish plan, Madara did show a kind and caring side to the boy. He took care of him, trained him and did his best to guide and lead him even if the purpose of that leadership was for evil. This shows that Madara is not as uncaring and aloof as he likes to portray himself even if he keeps calling writer "weak" and that "weakness disgusts me".

AKATSUKI:

Madara was not part of the Akatsuki per se but he was instrumental in shaping the organization's original purpose of peace under Yahiko and Nagato to the warped criminal organization under Pein.

It was Madara who encouraged Obito to twist Nagato's mind and secure the Akatsuki for his plan. It was also Madara who prodded a troubled man into researching horrific and banned medical techniques to prolong his life and restore his youth.

Madara himself engaged in macabre and tortuous techniques to increase his physical resistance train his mind and body for his war.

When he gained control of the organization, he set upon a course of murder, massacre, abuse and genocide. He wanted to kill Tsunade Senju, then Hokage, and Naruto Uzumaki for their ties to the Senju; he wanted to obliterate that bloodline from the World.

During his reign of terror, he experienced fresh betrayal when Obito turned against him and worked on the side of the "traitorous Senju" but Madara reasons Obito "is trash. He was trash when I found him and I shouldn't have wasted by time on such a weak and foolish individual". It is amazing how quickly this man flips through emotions, several at once and each only lasting several seconds before the subject is back to his standard cockiness.

His plan ultimately failed and he was arrested and placed into secured solitary confinement.

POST CAPTURE:

Madara is locked down 23 hours a day in a secured solitary cell housed in its own reinforced section of the jail. He is forbidden to interact with anyone, be it a prisoner or staff or outsiders with exception of writer for the purposes of this assessment.

He is an exceptionally dangerous man. His ability to con and manipulate those around him to believe him and do his bidding is astounding. He has a strong cult of personality and anyone is best to be wary around him.
