~Ch 8~ "I make my own options"
"Kill him." Kye-sook ordered, smiling smugly. The traitor soldiers obeyed without hesitation.
Daiki sighed slightly, giving a slightly annoyed and bored look, "Seriously? Give me a better challenge..." The former servant took out a small dagger.
"Maybe the fight will be more challenging if I use a small weapon?" Daiki mumbled quietly to himself. A soldier lunged at him with a spear, Daiki still examining his dagger stepped to the side, making the soldier stumble, then another soldier attacked with a sword and Daiki took a step forward, making him fall on another soldier, this is how it went for a while.

Couple minutes later...

"I've decided....I'll use the dagger, its light and easy. " Daiki nodded to himself, making the final decision, then turned around in battle stance to attack, only to find of pile of worn out soldiers and a shocked Kye-sook and Soo-won.
Daiki blinked, "Ara? Did you guys attack each other or something? That's no fun...." Daiki sighed slightly, then he looked at Soo-won and Kye-sook, Soo-won still had that serious face one, but he was still holding his sword.
Daiki looked at him with an emotionless face, before he walked up to him, his weapon put away. Soo-won made slight movement for his weapon, but Daiki did not make any hesitation as he kept walking forward slowly.
Kye-sook made an attempt to stab Daiki with his sword, but Daiki deflected it with his dagger, which suddenly reappeared in his hand, 'Incredible..his reflexes are incredibly fast.' Kye-sook thought as he put more strength, Daiki (still expressionless) did the same and made Kye-sook's sword fly out of his hand, then he kicked his legs making him fall. Daiki, pointed his dagger at him, "Don't interfere. You are not apart of this."
Kye-sook tried to stand, but couldn't. It was like some force was holding him down. He looked at Daiki with shock and anger, 'Just who is this man?! Isn't he just a mere servant?!' Daiki then focused his full attention on Soo-won, he took his dagger and put it away. Soo-won swinged his sword right in front of his face, almost sliced Daiki's bangs.
Daiki did not flinch, and Soo-won lunged forward, but then he mouthed something which made Daiki's eyes widen slightly, in a flash Daiki moved sideways, Soo-won's sword pierced into a fan that was suddenly in Daiki's hand, Daiki closed it and put strength to lunge Soo-won's sword out of his hand and he grabbed it. Daiki pointed the sword that killed King II at Soo-won.
Soo-won despite the situation, did not look afraid, "Gomen Daiki, but I can't die yet." Daiki did not say anything but narrowed his eyes. Soo-won was willing Daiki to speak, his eyes narrowing as well.
"Why?" Soo-won eyes focused on Daiki once more as he finally spoke in his melodic voice. Daiki seemed to sense that he had Soo-won's full attention, "Why did you kill King II?"
Soo-won slightly smirked sadly, but it was barely noticeable, "I'm sure you already know the reason, Daiki." Daiki's eyes did not change, "Are you sure that is the only reason?" Daiki asked, pointing the sword slightly closer to Soo-won's neck, Soo-won's eyes widened very very slightly, but Daiki's expert eyes caught it.
Soo-won felt something against his mind, as if another conscious has entered his head. Soo-won noticed Daiki's eyes blurred slightly as if he was in a trance, but it quickly went back to normal. At the same time he felt the other conscious leave his mind.
Daiki's eyes were now widened as a look of slight surprise flashed in his eyes. Daiki's sword prepared to swing, and out of instinct, Soo-won closed his eyes. He felt a sharp pain on his forehead, he opened his eyes to see that his sword was on the ground and Daiki's fingers were in the snapping motion.
Daiki snapped his fingers on Soo-won's forehead. "Baka." Daiki said with a slight smirk. Soo-won's face was in a surprised state.
Daiki sighed layed back, and walked away saying, "Ma, I suppose that most people I meet are idiots..."
Daiki turned around and avoided another death attack from Kye-sook, he smiled ever so slightly at Soo-won. "Be a good king, King Soo-won."
Soo-won's eyes widened as Daiki jumped back and landed on the big gate, as Kye-sook made another attempt with his sword.
Daiki turned around, preparing to jump, when Kye-sook's question stopped him, "Matte! Aren't you on Yona-hime's side? Then why didn't you try to kill King Soo-won, and instead wished him luck? Are you actually on his side?"
Daiki turned around and said in a emotionless face, "I don't follow Soo-won like you Gorilla-face *Kye-sook's eyebrows twitched, "However, I don't follow Yona, like Hak either."
"Perhaps my fate is to serve Yona-hime. But I'm not the type to be held down by reigns of an invisible force. I don't know whats going to happen in the future. But I'm doing what I believe is right. There's nothing wrong with that, right?" Daiki winked with a mischievous glint as he turned around and prepared to jump.
"My choices will effect the people around me, but if I follow what is expected, that's exactly like being a slave for fate." Daiki looked back one more time and smirked, "I make my own options. That's all I need to know. Lets meet again, Soo-won, but who knows how the circumstances will be by then. Ja (Bye/later)"
Then Daiki disappeared into the darkness of the night, unknown to him that Soo-won smiled, ever so slightly.

"Are you sure that is the only reason" Daiki asked, sure Soo-won's father was dead, but was that it? Is it only because his father was killed that he went this far? Daiki sharp eyes almost missed the small widening of Soo-won's eyes.
Without hesitation, he plunged into Soo-won's mind. He saw the truth wide and clear, however it still surprised him. He immediately shook himself from the trance. Daiki widened his eyes unconsciously at Soo-won, he mentally almost smiled.
'Souka (I see), so that's how it goes, huh?' Daiki thought to himself.
Daiki slightly smiled as he was still soaring through the air, 'he really is a baka (idoit), but I suppose we all are.' Daiki went emotionless again, he knew that what Soo-won did might have been wrong, but it wasn't in his place to decide that.
'To be a king, means serving his people.'
