~Ch 2~ "Its Betrayal, but its reality." Part 2
(Shin-chan: Just to clarify once more, when Daiki is in "boy form" I'll say 'he', but when he is in "girl form" I'll say "she")

'I never was the type of person who needed a lot of sleep'. That's what Daiki believed as he sat on the top of the tiled roof watching the sun rise. Daiki reached down to grab a potato dumpling and then drank some icy cold water.
Daiki zoned out. Just yesterday Soo-won came to celebrate Yona-hime's birthday which is in a couple of days. Daiki's mind went back to the scene when he saw Soo-won's eyes change when he went around the corner after his talk with Yona.
'I don't think that's Soo-won, but it is Soo-won' Daiki thought for a moment, "Paradox..." He mumbled out loud. What Daiki means is that the Soo-won he had always known and the Soo-won he had just seen are all part of Soo-won.
It really is confusing if you think about it, but Daiki isn't like one of those four-eyed scholars. (Shin-chan: Please don't feel offended if you wear glasses, to make you feel better, I wear glasses too!)
Daiki climbed down the roof as it became the time where people start waking up. He jumped down and turned around the corner to see Hak and Soo-won in the training yard.
Seems like they plan to do some archery practice. And where was Yona? Probably sleeping, with her red hair as tangly as ever, he would even bet that Yona was probably drooling as well, in her lala land where her hair suddenly becomes straight.
Daiki snorted, 'Yeah like thats gonna happen...' (But then again, it might, King Hiryuu did have straight hair once upon a time).
Even he tried to smooth Yona's hair once.
Impossible.
One of the few things the great Black dragon can't do.
Daiki watched from afar as Hak and Soo-won did their practice shots before shooting while riding horses. Soo-won hit his arrow in bulls-eye while Hak did the same. Impressive to others, but not really him.
Daiki scoffed. 'Amateurs' if it was Daiki, he would have splitted Soo-won's arrow in half, of course he would never get the chance to prove himself anytime soon, (Shin-chan: . . .Yeah, I don't know about that. . .)
He didn't want anyone to know his power or his ability to fight, so in order to prove to everyone he absolutely sucked at weapons and violence, he did the most embarrassing act ever, so embarrassing he was considering suicide the few days after that...day.
Anyway, back to reality.
Daiki walked to Yona's room to see a bunch of servants, a big pile of clothing that were rejected, and a strong smell of perfume. Daiki sighed. This was going to be one looonnnnnggg day.

After many minutes later....

Finally, Daiki and Yona were outside, Yona not completely satisfied and was pouting while trying to straighten her hair.
Daiki, on the other hand, was pretty much half-dead and feeling pity for himself that the it was still morning and still had many hours before nightfall. He almost wished to abandon his usual cool self and shout "Do you have any idea what I have been through?! Yona's room now looks like 600 million fashion designers came charging in!" at the other servants who were passing by.
Of course, he didn't.
Yona was still trying to fix her hair and twirled around a couple times. 'Does she have no shame?' Daiki thought while standing right behind her as she did all this.
They were currently in front of Soo-won's room, preparing (in Yona's case) for the Princess of Kouka's big entrance.
Yona opened the door energetically while Daiki thought just how rude it was to suddenly barge in unexpectedly.
"G-Good morning, Soo-won! I have some of our best sweets! Would you like... to..." Yona looked around the empty room, she ran out and almost bumped into King II,
Daiki sighed. "Whats the matter Yona?" asked King II, while Ming-soo (a servant if you don't know) whispered to Yona, "If you're looking for Lord Soo-Won, he is with General Hak." 'Oh yeah. Forgot about that while I was wondering if there was any hope for he Kouka kingdom when Yona takes the throne.' thought Daiki, still pitying himself that he had to serve her for the rest of his life.

Couple minutes later, at the field Hak and Soo-Won were practicing on...
_________________________________________________________________________________
Hak and Soo-Won mounted there horses, preparing to shoot the targets. Yona, King II, and Daiki were spectating.
The Princess pouted angrily, "No fair, Hak! How could you set me aside and have fun with Soo-won?"
Daiki and King II sighed. "Now, now...They haven't seen one another in some time, either." King II said.
Hak and Soo-won mounted on there horses, Soo-won shot first, hitting slightly off the center, then Hak shooted straight into the center. Soo-won and Hak pulled there horses to a stop.
"Well done, Hak." said Soo-won congratulating him. "You were magnificent yourself, Lord Soo-won." Hak answered. Soo-won used the bow again without the arrow and answered. "Next time, I'll strike dead center, as well."
Yona blushed at how cool Soo-won looked, while Daiki mentally gagged at her naive attitude. "I'll do archery with Soo-won as well!" Yona declared with a look in her eyes as she pumped a small fist. King II looked shocked, and so did Daiki, but his mask hid it. 'If Yona did archery, I bet my arm that she will send at least 300 people to the infirmary...' Daiki thought in slight horror, while King II tried to talk his daughter out of it.
"Yona-hime!" Soo-won suddenly called out, everyone looked down. "Come down. I'll let you ride with me!" Yona gave out a happy giggle, "Okay!" as she ran down.
Not hearing King II shout in a semi-angry voice "Soo-won!", but Daiki heard it. He looked at King II who now had a frustrated angry face, Daiki did not miss this when he ran after Yona.
'I wonder what that was...'

After a couple minutes...
_________________________________________________________________________________
Daiki neglected his duty as a servant and watched as Hak pulled Yona up to Soo-won. 'My apologies Hak, but she really is heavy' Daiki mentally apologized (well, she's not if your a dragon, but he's pretending to be a human), '. . . . but I bet you like holding her. . . .' he slyly added with a small smirk behind his mask.
"Relax. We both got you." said Soo-won reassuringly, "But..." Yona said with a pout that totally looked fake to Daiki and probably Hak.
"Hak is about to die under the weight of the princess." Said Hak with a monotone voice, Yona snapped at him with her medusa glare, as Daiki wondered if that was actually possible.
It might.
"Don't worry, you love horses right?" Soo-won asked as Yona finally got on his horse. Daiki decided to read Yona's thoughts at the moment (He just knows it that somethings going to happen and his mind-reading powers are going to disappear somehow, so might as well use it as much as he could now.).
'I love you.' she thought. 'He asked you about horses not about him.' Daiki thought.
"Entrust your body to me." said Soo-won while Daiki shivered and thought, 'That sounds so wrong....I feel my childhood dripping away now...'
Soo-won reached for the reigns, his face only centimeters away from Yona, 'His voice....His breath..' Yona thought as she blushed, Daiki suddenly saw a picture of Soo-won in Yona's mind. 'When he was a child, he was cute like a little girl....' thought Yona, and Daiki thought, 'He still kind of looks like one.'
"Isn't this against the rules?" mumbled Yona, but apparently Soo-won heard her as he made a sound of confusion.
Yona quickly explained, "Ah! I mean, you seem to be accustomed to dealing with women. I bet you bring lots of women into your castle."
Daiki who was walking besides them to make sure Yona doesn't fall, mentally face-palmed at this. 'I lived as a boy and even I know that is just not the right thing to talk about when flirting with a boy...' Yona seemed to have realized that fact as well as Daiki heard her thoughts saying, 'Gosh, what am I saying?!!'.
Soo-won was sweat-dropping. Yona took this the wrong way as her face turned into a odd shade of blue, "I'm right?!" Soo-won explained awkwardly, "Please... You're mistaken. There has been a few discussions about engagement..."
Yona mentally almost fainted, as she yelled in her mind, 'Engagement?!!!'
Daiki cringed, really starting to hate his mind-reading abilities.
"Oh, but nothing is decided yet...Let's not talk about this, okay? There's no need for you to know." Soo-won said reassuringly, 'Treating me like a child again...' thought Yona when she suddenly had a glint in her eyes which Daiki did not like one bit. "I-I've had offers of engagement, too!" Yona said with her face held high.
Daiki had an sudden urge to laugh, he shook his head to try to distract himself. Soo-won look shocked, "What? With whom?" Yona looked uncertain, then answered with a smirk, "Hak, for one!"
Hak stopped and shot her with a suspicious look, while Daiki felt his heart beating faster and his breath quickening, Daiki stopped, he hadn't felt this in a while, but he just had too. . . .but not now in front of Hak, Yona, and Soo-won. Daiki put his hand over his mouth his cheeks slightly red in efforts to hold it in.
Hak looked at Yona with a even more suspicious look, Daiki cringed, while Yona thought 'Idiot! Of all the names to give him, Hak makes it too obvious! I can't help it! I don't know any other guys near my age. . .well Daiki is one, but he's a servant!'
"Um..." Yona started, but Soo-won just smiled and said, "I think that sounds nice." Yona froze as well as Daiki, in Daiki's eyes he saw Yona's world turn into ice as a wail sounded, 'You're cruel!!'
He really couldn't take it anymore, Daiki collapsed on his knees catching Hak's and Soo-won's attention while Yona remained frozen, oblivious to the world around her. Daiki put both his hands on his mouth, his mask still covering my red cheeks.
"Oi! Are you alright Daiki?" Hak asked walking over to me. Soo-won looked at me with a worried expression while he didn't pay much attention to the still frozen Yona. Daiki could hear her crying in her thoughts. And Soo-won was completely oblivious.
That did it.
He was at his limit.
Daiki the Black Dragon laughed.
Soo-won and Hak froze. Daiki froze as well, realizing what he had just done.
Minutes of absolutely silence passed. Then they smiled at me (Well Hak smirked in amusement), Daiki sighed, well, can't help it now.
He apologized with a bow. Soo-won looked confused, probably wondering why. Yona woke up from her trance so Hak and I took her to her villa.
'I let my guard down, but then again who wouldn't laugh, I mean, either the royals planned all that, or Soo-won is either too nice, evil, or just stupid.' Daiki stopped, and added quietly to his thoughts.
'Too nice...huh...' he shook his head before catching up to Hak who was escorting the mourning Princess to her villa.

'Hak and Yona were lovers? Well that is a little unexpected.' Soo-won thought. He smiled anyway. He could see them as an interesting couple.
"That would be nice. Congratulations!" Yona for some reason, froze, he looked at her curiously when he heard someone drop to the ground. Soo-won looked next to him to see Daiki.
Daiki has always been. . . polite to Soo-won. Daiki had caught Soo-won's attention when they first met, but after that he acted like a mere servant.
It greatly disappointed Soo-won, but he still acknowledge Daiki, even if his attitude changed, he still was very different. The masked servant's aura was something that could compare to royalty at times, the way he held himself.
Soo-won snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Daiki who was now shaking, sounds of noise escaping his mouth.
'Is something wrong with him? His he sick?' For some reason, Soo-won felt a great wave a worry wash over him.
"Oi! Are you alright, Daiki?" Hak asked as he came closer, a worried look on his face as well.
Then they both heard a melodious sound.
Soo-won wondered where it came from. Then he looked at Daiki; it came from him.
He was laughing.
Daiki, a mere unique servant who always seemed emotionless, performed what Soo-won thought was impossible for him.
What surprised Soo-won was that Daiki's laugh sounded sort of. . . . feminine.
'Daiki has an interesting laugh. It sounds like music.' Soo-won thought, he couldn't stop himself from smiling, Hak seemed to be in the same situation (though Hak's smile somewhat leaned towards smirking).
Daiki froze and quickly stood up dusting himself and bowed with an apology, Yona seemed to have woken up from her trance so Daiki and Hak escorted her back to her villa. Daiki and Hak bowed to Soo-won then they walked away.
Daiki's hair started swaying in the breeze softly, the sunlight lighting his black hair. Soo-won realized he had been staring at the masked servants back for a while before snapping out of it and headed back to the stables.
Wondering what was the very very small ache he felt in his heart.

Yona's villa where Min-soo just joined....
_________________________________________________________________________________
"You're too cruel, Soo-won! How could you believe that lie?!" Yona cried as her head collapsed in her arms on the table.
Daiki poured some of tea for all of them, 'I'm more shocked that you actually thought you could make Soo-won jealous. With that Mr. Air-head rabbit attitude, that impossible',' Daiki thought.
"You're the cruel one. You're also a nuisance." said Hak, probably thinking about how Yona tried to use him. Daiki smiled sligtly behind his mask at Hak's blunt remarks.
Not that those remarks were entirely untrue.
"Your marriage may not be a lie after all." Announced King II as he entered the room, Yona turned to look at him with confusion.
"It would only be natural for you to be betrothed by now." He continued with a stern look. 'Please, not more drama...' Daiki thought as he backed away slightly, not looking forward to where the conversation was heading.
"No. . . .No! I want Soo-won to-" Yona started to yell, but King II interrupted her with a frustrated, stern, and angry remark, "You can't have Soo-won!"
Everyone looked at the ruler of Kouka with different levels of surprise and maybe shock.
Daiki was narrowing his eyes behind the mask, 'Heh~ this is getting interesting...'
Yona stood up, "Hime-sama!" said Min-soo, probably thinking it wasn't a good idea to protest, Daiki thinking the same. "I don't want to hear you speak of my love life! I'm-" Yona started with a look, when, again, King II interrupted.
"Yona, I have always given you anything you desired. Beautiful hair ornaments, earrings, a royal villa, and a flower garden, I would give you anything that is not a weapon. . . .But no matter how you wish it, I cannot give you Soo-won." King II said, Daiki and Hak both noticed the princess's eyes slowly growing with horror and denial.
"You are the princess of the Kingdom of Kouka. The man who marries you will become the next king!" Yona's eyes widened as her violet iris began to tremble.
Daiki put down his teacup and looked down darkly, 'I bet anyone would ask the question 'why?' I would ask that myself, but for some reason I am not surprised by this sudden outcome...But the main question is why? Why won't you let Princess Yona marry Soo-won? Is it because of that...? Then are you purposely admitting the truth? Just what are you planning?' Daiki mentally asked, but the main question to him is 'Just what are you doing to the Kingdom of Kouka...? Why is it that when I get a bad feeling around the king?' Daiki looked out the window and noticed that it was raining.
'The sky. . . .its as if its crying for the future...'
