~Ch 13~ The Awakening of King Hiryuu. Part 2
I know, I know...its been pretty much forever readers! My deepest apologizes for not updating in like...months I guess. I hope to update more often on this story, I really like this fanfic, its just that it has a lot of....pressure I guess?
Anyway, I'll try my best to update when I can, same goes for my other stories.

Daiki's POV:
I am ashamed to admit this, but I was utterly horrified for the first time in my life.
The reincarnation of Hiryuu. King Hiryuu. The previous Red Dragon God and the legend of Kouka... legendary red hair was cut off.
Don't get me wrong, I won't even blink a eye if my own hair was cut off, but this is the reincarnation of King Hiryuu we're talking about, who is known for his beautiful dawn red hair. First thing I did after my somewhat shocked expression (or as shocked as my face can offer), was face palming and sighing.
Oh dear, dear Black Dragon God up there in heaven...what have I ever done to deserve such an unpredictable mistress? Well, at least it won't be boring around her.
Anyway, back to reality.

'That idiot..!' I thought mentally hitting my forehead in annoyance and worry. If this wasn't so serious then maybe I might have snorted in amusement when Yona is practically hanging off the cliff, making a meaningless effort to try and pull Hak back up (and may I mention Hak is quite heavy)
"IDIOT! RUN!" Hak shouted in desperation. "You can't do it, run far away!" Yona ignored him,
"No! Never!" From the view where Daiki was, with her dragon eyes she saw tears drip on Hak's face. "I'll never forgive you for dying!" Hak hung there frozen in shock.
'Well, looks like he's regretting making a girl cry- Ah. Ok, Daiki, enough with all these sarcastic remarks.' I know my habit is bad, especially at a time like this.
"What are you all doing?! Get the princess away from Hak!" Tae-jun shouted. 'And touch even a single strand of her hair and I'll send you to the doorways of hell.' I thought as I got out my bow and arrow already aiming. I don't think it will be the best to blow my cover right now, it would make things much more difficult in the future for Yona and Hak.
I bit my lip slightly. I can get them out after killing the 2 fire tribe soldiers, killing Tae-jun would just create more trouble. I just hope Yona can hold on a little longer 'Just please don't look back...' I prayed.
As the soldiers sheathe there swords and went closer to the princess, Yona, sensing the presence looked back. Losing her focus she slipped.
'No!' I mentally shouted, my dragon blood reacting furiously as my eyes unconsciously widened.
Both her and Hak fell into the green depths of the forest, I saw Hak drawing her close to protect her as Yona screamed.
"Tch!" I made a loud click with my tongue as I drew out of my hiding place and wrapped my long scarf around my head leaving only my eyes visible.
'I don't care anymore if it will make it much more difficult in the future, its all meaningless is the Princess is dead!' I thought as I jumped in inhuman speed to the top of the mountain.I closed my eyes then I slammed my hands together as if praying then shifted my fingers rapidly in all kinds of positions.
"Dragon Arts, Secret Technique #5 Comfort of the Ouryuu." I whispered. Invisible black wind only visible to any creature besides a human swirled then sped in the speed of light to the bottom of the cliff. I sighed.
I fear that I probably was a tad too late, but it should have been able to ease the damage to the extent where they will not die. Besides, if Yona was really dead, the dragons should feel something, something broken inside of them...or at least that's what I think.
And Hak is tough I'm sure he'll be ok. Probably. Hopefully.
...
Lets keep fingers crossed just in case and a quick prayer of luck to the Gods.
I wrapped the scarf more securely around my head since it unraveled thanks to the wind. With a quick area scan to make sure no one saw that little cast of something that won't be explained through science.
I held a hand on the end of my scarf as I looked at Tae-jun who was now throwing an insane fit about immediately finding the princess. I can tell he's really desperate...hm. Makes me wonder just what is his goal. He seems to honestly not want to hurt the princess, whether it had something to do with Soo-won or rank. Lets classify him as in the no-man zone for now.
After the soldiers were able to knock at least some sense into him, he looked down completely shocked, dejected, and filled with horror not for himself but for someone else.
I sighed as I watched the sun set over the mountains. This unexpected event will create much more work on my behalf. Lets quickly get it over with so it won't disturb the Mistress in anyway in the future.
I whipped my right hand producing a small black butterfly that seemed to glow. "Find her." I ordered. The small butterfly immediately set off in the same direction of Yona's fall. I took a quick glance to make sure the Fire tribe soldiers were out of sight after they packed up, they're probably heading the the palace.
I flew down after the butterfly (Translation: Jumped off the mountain and thanks to the amazing thing we call gravity, I began to fall in the same direction of my troublesome Mistress and her lackey)
When the trees came into view quickly, I landed on the highest branch and swing myself to a lower branch and then swing again to another branch until I hit the bottom. Right in front of me was Yona who was wrapped up in Hak's arms of protection. Underneath them was a small blanket of glowing black light that swirled. I smiled. Thank god the wind made it in time even if it was only by a bit.
"Disperse." I said with a wave of my hand, the wind instantly vanished into thin air as I examined the two. They both seemed unconscious and they certainly didn't land without injures. Yona's injures are not something that she would die from, as long as its treated right. Hak's injures are the ones that hit my worried nerves. He won't die of them, I'll make sure of that...but it will be much harder on him in the future...
'Its best not to use my powers on them too much or they might develop of slight immunity. I need to save my healing powers for the much harder future.' And while I am an expert in rare effective medicine. In my haste, I embarrassingly left my bag on Yuki before I departed with her.
Yes, even the Black Dragon does stupid things some times.
A whiff in the air caught my dragon senses attention. I smelled medicine. I climbed up a tree and zipped through the forest following the scent when I came across a young boy that was around he age of Yona. I narrowed my eyes as he seemed to be nonchalantly taking a walk. The medicine scent was coming off from his hands. I smirked. 'Young, but intelligent. He'll do just fine.' I zipped back to where I left my Mistress and her lackey silently. I then carried them to a nearby stream that seemed to be in the path the boy was heading.
I heard him singing, announcing his arrival as I blended into the forest shadows.
'Long, long ago, when the big red sun was gobbled up,
and the world was stained black...'
He took a bite from his apple. He looked at the two who are defined as my Mistress and her lackey with slight annoyance in his eyes.
"What a bother. Someone's dead." He said with a slightly bored tone. I made a small noise of amusement, besides his 'cool' act he dragged the two gently, obviously knowing what he was doing.
'They'll be just fine. After all, meeting this boy is also fate...' I thought as I went back to my emotionless and bored face. And now to pay another someone a certain visit to make sure he won't mess up with any of my plans.
I took off.

Soo-won's POV (A/N: I feel like this just gives the thrill away...):
I stared with widened eyes at the long dawn red hair that was too familiar.
"Princess Yona is dead." Tae-jun said with a tone that was filled with past-shock and silent grief.
"In the northern mountains that separate the Wind and Fire Tribe's lands...I cornered General Hak and Princess Yona..Just when they were within my reach, they fell into the valley." Tae-jun bowed his head in shame as he finished off his sentence in a whisper as if he couldn't believe it himself.
"What? They fell from those cliffs? Kye-sook repeated with a louder and rising voice.
"Lord Soo-won instructed you to contact him the moment you found them. Instead, you cornered and killed Princess Yona. This is treason, Lord Gang Tae-jun."
I said nothing as I was still in silent shock myself.
Tae-jun had a wild and insane look in this eyes. "That's right....I killed her." He bowed his head. "Please punish me." "Lord Soo-won." Kye-sook looked at me for instructions.
I was silent for a moment before I spoke. "Rest at the castle today. You will attend tomorrow's coronation." I turned around, wanting a time to myself as soon as possible. I ignored his pleas of being punished. At this moment, I don't want to think about it. Not now.
~~~
In the balcony of my room I took out the strands of the hair that previously belonged to the now-dead princess of Kouka. I stared at it with eyes that I refuse to water. The memories of us spending time together...all those smiles..
I gripped the strands tighter. Not hearing the small noise of wind behind me.
"..."
"Do you regret it?"
I spun around to face a boy my age that had eyes with such intensity and emotion besides the emotionless face that only one person could have.
"...Daiki." My voice whispered. His face was entirely wrapped with with a black scarf including his hair, the only thing that stood out were those green emerald eyes.
He put his hands behind his head nonchalantly. "Well?" He asked, not pressuring me as he seemed to be relaxing.
"And what about you? Your Mistress and the General whom you serve are both dead. What is your mission if not to assist them when they are already out of this world" I stated.
Daiki's eyes examined me closely. Then he looked up into the full moon. There was a moment of silence before he spoke.
"I never said that my mission was entirely to dedicate myself to Princess Yona and General Hak. ("Though it is." Daiki mentally added to himself with slight self-pity) "Truth, I didn't plan to abandon her either and of course, this new event was something that I did not calculate nor would have expected."
He was fully gazing at the moon as if waiting for something to appear.
"It was embarrassing and shameful on my part as Princess Yona's servant. I let my pride and sense of strict duty get to myself allowing the uneducated Princess and reckless General slip from my view. Now they are gone...It happened a little all to fast I suppose."
Soo-won looked at Daiki. The ex-servant truly was a mystery. A unpredictable human whose personality Soo-won himself could never predict.
"What do you plan to do now? Come and kill me for revenge? Or maybe work as a servant and start it all over again?" Soo-won joked lamely at the end, it was strange and kind of nerve-racking but he felt at ease with the mysterious emerald eyed boy.
Daiki tore his longing gaze from the moon and stared at Soo-won with blank eyes that literally said 'Why are you even joking at a time like this? And if you are going to joke at least put some effort in it. Either that or you have a skewed sense of humor, but then again that's what you expect from a prince who pretty much murdered a happy-go-lucky fat king who happens to be his uncle.'
Soo-won bit back a small chuckle despite his still depressed mood. Daiki did not look amused as he looked back up at the moon and answered his question with a voice that held a mysterious emotion Soo-won could not pin.
...
"To be honest, I think something else will happen in this era. Its too late to turn back. Its like a in-progress story in my view. The plot is already set. If a story is ended like this, no one will read it, right? Besides, the characters have all been chosen and are currently in the process of moving in place."
Daiki stood up and sighed as he looked down, his eyes held emotion with such intensity, he held out a hand in front of him and watched as it closed into a fist.
"We've all chosen our paths, there's no turning back now..Isn't that right, Lord Soo-won-sama?"
Soo-won took a few moments before replying with a look that was full of hidden regret.
"...Ah."
