Christmas Eve Party
Hello! Mangareader90 here, and I do not own Naruto (it belongs to Masashi Kishimoto).Okay, let's just get right in it. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hate parties. It doesn't matter what type, I hate them all. Weddings, birthdays, weekend, it didn't matter. I don't know why I hate them so much, it could be the crowd of people that are always so loud.
"Sam, we-we're outta...outta beer," Shiro announced.
Oh wait, that's also a big reason. I hate alcohol.
"Little sissy, aren't you having fun?" Tyler placed an arm around my shoulder, his breath stinking of alcohol, which irritated me.
"Yeah, I'm just tired, and I have a headache," I lied, turning my head the other way. Tyler believed me, taking his arm away and patting me on the back.
"Go get some Advil then," Tyler advised, stalking away to go hang out with some of his college friends.
I rolled my eyes. It wasn't just a regular Akatsuki party, which I would have been okay with. No, it was a full blown Konoha party. Everyone was here.
"Manga...manga, the beer supply is gone. And Pein is p*ss*d that we even had beer. You gotta help," Sam called out. I stared at her. She knew I hated drinking, so why would she think I needed to help? How could I help?
"I have no idea what to do that would make this situation better," I admitted. She rolled her eyes as if the answer was obvious.
"Duh, go and...go and take this mistletoe," she handed me a mistletoe (not exactly small, but not that big), "hang it over Pein and Konan, and he should be too embarrassed to be mad."
She had a point. Rather than face Sam's wrath, I decided to do as was told. Forgive me Pein, but Sam scares me.
I started over towards Pein, the mistletoe in hand. He was currently venting with Konan about the "stupid members" and how he "hated when Sam brought alcohol to parties". Konan was listening intently, nodding her head. She was a good girlfriend. Which is another reason I felt bad for what was to happen next.
"Hi guys, looks like you like this party about as much as I do," I laughed, hiding the mistletoe in my pocket.
"What's your reason for hating it?" Konan asked, smiling at me. She looked tired. There were other people around us, some being Itachi (who was looking for Sam), Sasori (who was talking to Deidara), Ino (who was flirting with Sai), and one of Tyler's college friends (I didn't know him that well).
"The alcohol, the noise, the being crowded around people....everything. What about you two?" I asked, smiling in return. Pein sighed.
"Same as you. Sam asked to throw a party, and, before I could say no, Kisame, Hidan, Deidara, Shiro,Tobi, and even Madara wanted one too," Pein's eye twitched as he retold the tale, and I nodded. Sam had that effect (affect?) on people.
"We thought that we might as well make it an event for those outside of the Akatsuki. It's not very fun when it's just a group," Konan explained.
"It's not fun ever," I muttered. Luckily, they didn't hear me.
"So, what are you doing over here?" Konan smiled once more and again I felt guilty for the reason I was visiting them.
"Um, promise you won't be mad?" I chuckled nervously. They both now looked at me suspiciously.
"Did someone also bring in drugs?" Pein asked.
"No, well maybe, but that isn't why I'm here. I'm here because of...sorry," I sighed, pulling out the mistletoe and placing it over them. They both turned crimson, Pein more than Konan. Now all attention was on them.
"U-Um," Pein stuttered, staring at Konan. She smiled softly, leaning toward him and planting a soft kiss on his lips. I blushed along with them, turning away. I was never good at kissing scenes.
"Right, well, bye," I hurriedly exited the kitchen, appearing next to Sam once more. She was talking to Shiro. Matsuri was next to him. Sam saw me and she smiled.
"Hey, Manga, hand me the thing," I knew what she was talking about, and the fact that she didn't saw what it was in front of Shiro and Matsuri made me realize that she wanted to also make them have a kissing moment.
"Here," I murmured, handing her the mistletoe. She smiled, hanging it over Matsuri and Shiro. Some people turned to look at them. Matsuri looked embarrassed, which contrasted against Shiro's apathy. If anything I think Shiro didn't mind a bit.
"Haha, this is the best party EVAH!" Sam cheered. A chorus of "Yeah" erupted and Sam cheered once more. I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, now for Sammy and 'Tachi," Shiro announced. He was obviously drunk, but even if he wasn't he would have suggested that.
"Haha, don't start," Sam hissed.
As Shiro and Sam argued, I left to go out back, immediately being hit with a cold wind. But it was quiet, and the noise was blocked, so I stayed. There hadn't been any snow yet, so I chose to sit on the ground, tilting my head up to look at the sky. No stars.
I sighed, lying on my back and closing my eyes. There was nothing to see, and the cold of the outdoors was making me sleepy. At least ten minutes passed, and I lost some feeling in my face, but I refused to go back inside. I didn't move a muscle when I heard the door slide open and then close shut. I didn't open my eyes when I heard silent footsteps approach me either.
I did, however, open my eyes when I felt something being laid on top of my chest. Who I saw staring back at me didn't surprise me, but it did make my face heat up for an unknown reason.
"It's too cold to be outside. Come in," Sasori told me. I shook my head.
"I don't like how noisy it is. I also hate how everyone is drinking alcohol. I just want to stay out here on this ugly night," I retorted, sighing.
"Ugly?"
"There aren't any stars, I don't like it."
"Well, you missed a Sachi moment. That is the name for them, isn't it?" Sasori asked, sitting down next to me. I sat up at what he just said. I didn't.
"I did not." I looked at him and he had a smug smile placed on his lips.
He pulled out his phone, opening it to show a photo of Itachi and Sam under a mistletoe. Shiro was holding it, sitting above the stairway. Itachi must have taken Sam by surprise because her eyes were open and her cheeks were red. It was a perfect picture of a mistletoe kiss. Although it did make me uncomfortable because I never was good with kissing scenes. I don't know why.
"Come inside, it's too cold out here," Sasori repeated. His breath came out in little puffs of air as he spoke. I guess he had a point, but still.
"No. Don't worry Sasori. I'll come in once the party is over," I promised. He seemed to be contemplating it, and he once again smugly smiled at me. I thought that meant I could stay out here. I was wrong.
Sasori stood up, pulled me to my feet, and began to drag me inside. I tried to pull away from him, I even planted my feet to the ground, but it was to no avail. Sasori successfully managed to drag me to the door, open it, throw me inside, and slam the door shut, locking it behind us. It was noticeably warmer inside, and I realized that I was freezing.
"Here," Sasori draped his coat over my shoulders, and I felt a little better.
"Um, can I wear it for a bit?" I asked, my voice softer than I wanted it to be.
"Go ahead," Sasori nodded and I smiled. He was nice, in his own way.
"Thanks."
"Yo, how is your headache?" Tyler asked, smiling at me. I returned it.
"It's better," I lied once more. Have I no shame? Out of the corner of my eye I could see Sasori scowl at Tyler. He probably thinks that Tyler is some random stranger.
"That's good."
"Yeah. Hey, Tyler, this is Sasori. Sasori, this is my big brother Tyler," I introduced. Sasori nodded at Tyler, but Tyler frowned. Why?
"Hey, you're nice to my little sis, right? 'Cause if you aren't, I'm gonna kick your a**," Tyler laughed, and you could tell he was slightly drunk.
"Hmph. I'd like to see you try," Sasori retorted. Tyler just laughed in response.
"You seem good enough. Come on, Sam wanted to see you two," Tyler walked away, and Sasori and I shared a look before following him.
Sure enough, Sam was there. Smiling. Itachi was standing next to her, smirking. Suddenly everything moved in slow motion, Sasori and I being in the center of the room. And when I glanced up, a mistletoe hung suspended above us. Everybody was staring at us now, but my eyes were glued to the mistletoe. I became pale.
"Manga, you okay?" Sasori was speaking, but I couldn't look at him.
"KISSS!!!!" Sam yelled, and soon everyone began to chant the word over and over. Kiss. One word. One syllable. So powerful.
"Manga," Sasori placed a hand against my cheek, forcing me o look at him. He had a small tint of red on his cheeks. "We don't have to do this."
"YES YOU DO!" Sam yelled. Sasori glared at her and I gulped, already forming out plans on how to get out of this.
"Um, I. I just, really can't do this," I stammered.
"Manga, dooooo iiiiiiit. If you don't there will be consequences," Sam warned. Okay, that scared me.
"Sam, shut the h*** up," Sasori hissed.
"The f*** you say Sasori?" Sam asked, looking menacing. Sasori would have remarked, but I stopped him.
"Let's just get this stupid thing over with," I muttered. Sasori turned his attention to me, nodding.
He leaned down, and I closed my eyes so that I couldn't see anything. To be honest, I think my mind blanked out a bit while I was waiting for the impact, but when I felt something soft placed onto my mouth, I relaxed a little. Luckily enough it didn't last long, but the heat onto my face didn't leave with it.
I looked at Sasori and he was blushing too, although I couldn't tell which of us had it worse. I was brought back to reality when I heard applauding around us and shouting. Right. People saw that. Without bothering to say anything I ran out of the room, up the stairway, and into my bedroom. I locked the door behind me, and made my way towards my bed, sitting on top of it. I placed my hand onto my lips, lightly tracing them. One thought came to mind, and it made tears form in my eyes.
That was my first kiss.
My first kiss didn't happen because I wanted it to. It happened because people were encouraging us to do it, all of them drunk. For some reason that made me angry, and the tears fell onto my cheeks, burning them. I don't know why it was such a big deal, it just was.
Oh well, I'm tired and I'm going to bed.
Let Sam and Shiro enjoy the rest of Christmas Eve.
