Chapter 37: Kill the Love
(A/N: "For those who notice... the theme song for this chapter alone is different... Mentally prepare yourselves... This is your only warning.")
"Come to the coordinates stated below. With Ajax's radar, you'll be able to find it easily. It's time to settle this once and for all, Big sis."
~Akaruime
With the radar located within the left arm armor of Ajax beeping, the violet-eyed ravenette looked down at her left arm where just the armor of Ajax was present. Then she looked forwards to her destination; a small village in complete ruins, though with the snow falling, it looked like some form of sickly winter paradise. With the Ajax armor disappearing from her arm and with Ketsuekime on her back, Kuraime began making her way towards the village; since it was winter, she was wearing more Winter attire.
Entering the Village, Kuraime was immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia as she would see flashes of two young girls and a young male, all with black hair in this same village, playing around with happy laughter. Shaking her head a little, she looked around before spotting the largest building which was still standing. With a small hum, she made her way over to it before opening the door and entering; it resembled a kind of church and standing at the alter waiting for her, was Akaruime, also in winter attire and Himitsume on her back.
Akaruime: *smiles sweetly* "Big sis."
Kuraime: "Akaruime."
Akaruime: "You came! And it seems like alone too, considering I don't sense any presences around."
Kuraime: "I made sure to leave without anyone noticing right away. Seems like you did as well, hm?"
Akaruime: *giggles* "Well of course! But knowing Wave, he probably is looking for me now." Kuraime shook her head at that since, she knew that Dairoku was probably looking for her as well. Turning back to her younger sister, she spotted the green-eyed girl taking out a bag of cookies from her jacket. "Here! I brought some snacks for us, and don't worry, they're not drugged."
She gave her a genuine smile, as Kuraime blinked before smiling a bit and nodding. Soon, the two sisters found themselves sitting next to each other in a bench, sharing the bag of cookies, just eating like normal sisters. This was the first time in 3-5 years the two had acted like normal sisters and didn't battle with each other viciously; it was a refreshing experience for the two, something they both desperately need.
Akaruime: "Hey sis, you remember what this place is?" Of course Kuraime knew the answer to that, it was written all over her face.
Kuraime: "How could I forget? This was the village we and Dairoku lived in before being taken to the Empire. I clearly remember our mother's face when father sold us off.."
Akaruime: "Yeah... But you ended up killing him, right? As payback for turning us into assassins and for getting our mom killed."
Kuraime: "I'm surprised you figured out that it was me. The only people that know are my teammates."
Akaruime: *giggles* "It was only natural that it was you sis! But, I wanted to kill him too, so you did us both a big favor!"
She looked her before smiling a bit, because it was true. A few days after the remaining Elite Seven+ joined forces with the Empire's assassination squad, Kuraime and Akaruime were informed that their mother was arrested and executed for relaying information to the revolutionary army. That was actually a fact, however, it was their father who was the one who told the officials of her actions, leading to her arrest and eventually, her execution. Upon finding out the full story, Kuraime vowed vengeance against her father and a few days after joining Night Raid, once the target was put onto his head, Kuraime immediately took up the assassination contract, by herself. The look of terror and betrayal on his face was clear in her mind to this day, however she couldn't help but feel satisfied at that, knowing that his karma came back to haunt him. Killing him released a massive weight that was on Kuraime's shoulders for the longest time.
Kuraime: "Yeah... I remember that night clearly to this day." She hummed before she took a glance towards her. " Also..."
Akaruime: "Mm?"
Kuraime: "... Your biological mother says that's she'll always love you." The moment those words left her lips, the emerald-eyed girl's eyes widened in surprise. Akaruime never seen her mother since she turned 3 year old. After that, she was sent to live with Kuraime and her biological mother. But hearing those words, caused her to touch her forehead and let out a shaky laugh.
Akaruime: "G-Geez... It's cruel to tell me such a thing before we start fighting, big sis.. Haha."
Kuraime: "Sorry. But... before she passed on that night, she told me all her regrets. All she wanted was to see you one last time. I could only promise her that I'd deliver her message to you." Akaruime fell silent before she wiped a small tear from her eye and smiled.
Akaruime: Well... Thanks, big sis. That meant a lot, that you did this." The violet-eyed assassin smiled at her a bit before. sighing a little and looking down. Noticing this, Akaruime grew concerned. "Are you okay, Big Sis? You seem... more serious than usual."
Kuraime: "Is it... really that obvious?" She looked at her sister, who nodded with that infamous derpy face. "Well... I had my heart broken for the second time."
Akaruime: "You did!? Who did it!?" She asked, well more like demanded to know as she clenched her fists a bit. Kuraime just waved her off.
Kuraime: "Relax.. I've gotten over it. Besides, there's no point on holding your feelings for someone who doesn't love you back. So I'm alright. Besides, having you, big bro, Akame and Kurome is all I need."
She smiled and looked at her, this one being more genuine and happy. Akaruime returned it with a small giggle.
Akaruime: "Yeah.. It'll soon be like that... with me, you, Dairoku, Akame-Neesan, Kurome... Even with Pyro and Natala.. We'll all be together." This caused for Kuraime to frown, knowing that she was talking about using Himitsume to make that dream a reality.
Kuraime: "You know... it's sad things had to come to this..."
Akaruime: "Yeah, it is... Ever since we were sold off to the Empire, our lives warped and changed dramatically."
Kuraime: "We were both originally to be sent to the Empire to train and become assassins, but due to my... supernatural abilities, Gozuki made me apart of the Elite Seven and separated us... But then we were finally reunited, after serving under different divisions, simply because we needed to replace our fallen comrades."
Akaruime: "And after that, we were always together, as if we were reliving our childhood. We were the best assassination duo. Well... haha, Akame-Neesan and Kurome would think otherwise, but that what made it so much more fun; the challenge. Even when we were captured by Merraid, we stuck by each other's sides, no matter what... I was happy so long as I was with you. But you... but you..." The elder sister glanced at her, seeing her fists slowly clench. "But you... You... I thought you died when fighting Merraid... But then you and Najasho were... brainwashed... I tried to bring you back, but I was just a stranger to you... Then the moment you finally remembered me, you had already joined the revolutionary army... After that, I became miserable. I thought about you every day, about how I was going to kill you."
Kuraime: "So killing me will bring you peace?"
Akaruime: "There is no peace." She got up and walked past her into the aisle.
Kuraime: "Akaruime..." She stood up and followed her before the two faced each other in the center of the aisle. However, Akaruime slowly un-holstered Himitsume from her back.
Akaruime: "I just want to be the one that does it, so you'll belong to me." She said with an unsettling smile as Himitsume glowed ominously, with Pyro and Alec appearing by her side and the Zodiac-Armor, Hades equipping itself. Kuraime looked at them before humming.
Kuraime: "Do you really think you could last long with that wound on your neck?"
Akaruime (Hades): "I took a powerful drug to enhance my body. This pain is nothing but a minor bee sting and it's safe to say that we're even in terms of strength and speed now. So no need to hold back anymore, big sis."
Kuraime stared at her before taking a deep breath and un-holstering Ketsuekime from her back, the demonic scythe glowing ominously as the Zodiac-Armor, Ajax equipped itself onto her.
Kuraime (Ajax): "Then prove me wrong, Akaruime."
Akaruime (Hades): "Don't worry, I will Big Sis... no... Kuraime." However, soon after summoning Pyro and Alec, Akaruime slightly hunched forwards, leaning on Himitsume while panting slightly.
Kuraime (Ajax): "Using Himitsume's ability takes quite a bit of energy, even more so when your injured like you are. You probably shaved off a few seconds off of the drug you took. The pain is agonizing, isn't it?"
Akaruime (Hades): "Hahaha.. That may be true..."
Kuraime (Ajax): "Then allow me to relieve you of this pain."
Akaruime (Hades): "Ahahahaha. Let's kill each other, big sis."
CHAPTER 37: KILL THE LOVE
With Night Raid and Lieselotte, the group, well the ones who could move, were searching around for Kuraime, but as luck would have it, none of them could find her. So they met back in Najenda's tent to discuss the situation.
Najenda: "Any luck?" Everyone just shook their heads.
Mine: "Huh, I swore she walked in the direction of camp."
Saber: "But, she was never here."
Tatsumi: "Was she possibly attacked? Kidnapped??"
Leone: "I can tell Kuraime's not the type to get ambushed and kidnapped so easily."
As they were debating on what happened to the wielder of Ketsuekime, Akame noticed that her boyfriend was staring outside of the tent. She was about to call out to him, only to realize that a Hell Hawk perched on his arm. She watched as he stared into its eyes intensely before slowly his eyes widened, seemingly in horror.
Dairoku: "No..."
Akame: "Dai..?" He swiftly looked at her, a look of slight panic on his face. "What's wrong?"
Dairoku: "Kuraime... she and Akaruime are..." He didn't even need to finish the sentence as everyone understood. "I'm gonna go find them.." He said turning around as he began to walk, but Akame quickly grabbed his wrist gently.
Akame: "Take me with you." He looked back at her; she was still injured and Teigu-less, but the chances of them fighting either of the sisters when they arrive is very minimum.
Dairoku: "Alright."
"Vengeful Dragon; Balance Breaker!"
>>Meanwhile<<
Like Night Raid, the group of Wave, Run, Lauren and Kurome were looking around for Akaruime. Going back to the palace, they checked the rooms in it for any sign of her, but like with Night Raid and Kuraime, no luck. However, Kurome found something and called them to the Jaeger's meeting room.
Wave: "What did you find?" He asked as he, Run and Lauren entered the room, but to their surprise, Kurome had small tears in her eyes while holding a piece of paper. She just handed it to Wave who proceeded to read it.
"To anyone who finds this letter, you're probably wondering where I am. Well... I'll keep it brief. I've gone out to settle things once and for all with my big sister. I'm sorry for not saying goodbye properly, but I've enjoyed every moment with you guys... Run, Lauren, Wave... my best friend, Kurome...... Thank you for everything... And tell General Esdeath 'I'm sorry for being weak and letting her down'. This may be the final time you hear from me... But know... that I love you all. Sayōnara."
~Akaruime
>>Meanwhile<<
The special glass of the ruined church's window shattered as Kuraime leaped through it, with Akaruime following closely behind, making a couple of swings at her elder sister, who dodged before turning to fully face her.
However, Alec charged quickly towards the armored ravenette, sending a kick her way which she backed away from before narrowly dodging the bullets shot at her by him. Clicking her tongue in annoyance, Kuraime made a slash down with Ketsuekime to Alec, who blocked with one of his pistols before backing away, only for Pyro to quickly take his place, thrusting his fiery fists forwards towards the armored assassin's head. Kuraime managed to duck under the attack, but the heat from the plasma singed her armor's helmet a bit. She attempted to deal a drop kick to Pyro, only to have him dodge out of the way, making room for Akaruime to crash down on her sister, entering a weapon lock.
Akaruime (Hades): "Why did you betray us? We could've stayed together!"
Kuraime (Ajax): "After I regained my memories, I realized that what we were doing wasn't helping towards a peaceful nation. It was all a lie. I knew I couldn't go back to the Empire, as I hate nothing more than corruption." She broke the weapon lock, forcing for Akaruime to dash back, launching the bladed scorpion tail of her Hades armor at her. Kuraime blocked the strike before getting into a ready stance. "We were a special unit dedicated to execution any orders from the Capital while turning a blind eye to the meaning behind said orders. If the current Empire continues to exist, then the citizens are doomed to suffer. That's why when I saw you, I tried to get you to come with me."
Akaruime (Hades): "There's no way I could simply escape. I can't betray our comrades, who gave their lives for the mission! Are you saying everything our old comrades sacrificed was all for nothing!?"
Kuraime (Ajax): "Of course not! We all believed we were fighting for the citizens, to protect them and give them peaceful lives! The people who run the Empire are the source of everyone's misery. If ending them will help the citizens, our comrades that passed would understand. All we dreamed of was a peaceful Empire where no fighting or bloodshed would be needed!"
Akaruime (Hades): "That's a convenient argument, Big Sis!"
Their battle raged on viciously in the cold as the Winter Storm began to pick up a bit, showing the sign of a snow storm rolling in. However, as the sisters pulled away from each other, grumbling around them caught their attention. Suddenly, what looked like a gigantic Humanoid Danger Beast wearing some from of green Hazmat suit erupted from the ground, with giant chains holding it down.
Akaruime (Hades): "A Danger Beast?"
Kuraime (Ajax): "Our battle must have awakened him." The Danger Beast struggled before breaking free from its chains, before sending a punch down to the two sisters, who leaped out of the way. However, the broken chains were sent flying right towards Akaruime. "Akaruime!"
Her eyes widened underneath her helmet as she was too slow to dodge the chains. However, she was suddenly pushed out of the way, by Pyro who ended up being crushed by the chains.
Akaruime (Hades): "Pyro!" She stared in complete shock before glaring daggers at the Danger Beast, her armored eyes glowing a dark red. "How dare you do that to my friend...!? Alec!"
As she called his name, the western-style gunslinger leaped into the air and fired two bullets at the Danger Beast's head, however, the armor on its helmet just caused he bullets to bounce off like nothing. With a look of shock on his face, Alec soon found himself being crushed in the palm of the Danger Beast, once it grabbed him.
Akaruime (Hades): "Alec! Even Alec... I'll never let you into my collection!"
She grinded her teeth together under her helmet before yelling as she charged the danger beast, Hades' thrusters roaring loudly. The massive hulk attempted to swipe her with its arm, though she blitzed up into the air, avoiding it before striking it on its head, however the armor of the helmet it wore caused for Himitsume's blade to just bounce off, leaving Akaruime wide open for an attack. Seeing the chance, the Danger Beast made an attempt to grab her and crush her in its hand, only for Kuraime to blitz in and grab her sister just in time, with the two falling onto the ground, with the younger in her elder's arms.
Kuraime (Ajax): "Are you alright, Akaruime?"
Akaruime (Hades): "Big sis..."
Getting back up, the two sisters stood side by side, with the snow storm picking up as the Danger Beast growled and looked at them.
Kuraime (Ajax): *looks at Akaruime* "Let's do it." There was a brief pause as Akaruime looked surprised under her helmet before nodding.
Akaruime (Hades): "Right."
Now side by side, their armors' thrusters roared loudly as the sisters charged the Danger Beast together, showing that they both knew that this was a threat and distraction to the two of them.
With the Danger Beast sending a punch to the ground, Akaruime dashed out of the way before speeding directly up the arm and into the air before launching her bladed scorpion tail, which completely severed the large tubes that connected the Danger Beast's helmet. With steam ejecting from the severed tubes, the helmet fell off, revealing the Danger Beast's head.
Now with it vulnerable, Kuraime leaped into the air, holding Ketsuekime above her head.
Kuraime (Ajax): "Oyasumi!"
With one single strike down the direct middle of the Danger Beast's head, blood began spraying out before it fell over, completely dead; that display alone showed the sheer potential and power the two sisters had, if they fought side by side.
Soon after the distraction was killed, laughter from Akaruime sounded as the snow and dust settled, showing Kuraime her little sister who was walking towards her.
Akaruime (Hades): *laughing* "As expected of you and me. We always made the best team, Isn't that right, Big Sis?"
Immediately the battle between the two resumed, with Akaruime charging ahead and striking at her sister with Himitsume. However, her attacks seemed a bit more crazed as she became a bit unpredictable. Kuraime, gritting her teeth under her helmet, was blocking and redirecting all of her strikes, but was being pushed back a little. She grunted as she felt a sharp pain in her left thigh, and then in her right shoulder as blood seeped out of the destroyed armor of those areas, showing that Akaruime landed a couple of strikes on her. All while this was happening, the little sister was laughing with a large crazed grin on her face.
Akaruime (Hades): "Ahaha! How is it Big Sis!? Does it hurt? Does it fuel your drive to kill me quicker!?"
Clicking her tongue, the armored violet-eyed assassin spun kicked her sister away, who quickly stopped herself with her scorpion tail stabbing into the ground. Not bothering to answer the ridiculous question, the ravenette re-entered her stance, causing Akaruime to sweat drop a little but seethe more with the drive to kill her.
Akaruime (Hades): "Come forth!" Raising Himitsume into the sky, dark purple energy crackled and forced 8 nameless puppets to rise from the ground. However, as soon as they charged ahead, Kuraime instantly sliced them all into nothing but blood pools with Ketsuekime. "Nameless puppets won't do..." The elder looked back at her, as a dark aura surrounded both her and Ketsuekime.
Kuraime (Ajax): "This is... the end!"
Akaruime gasped a bit as her elder sister dashed towards her at blinding speeds, leaving raven feathers in her wake. Just as she was about to crash Ketsuekime's blade down on her, a sharp and painful gasp escaped Kuraime's mouth as she froze completely and the sound of metal breaking and blood splattering was heard. She slowly looked down, to see some form of blade being stabbed right through her abdomen, completely penetrating her Ajax armor.
Kuraime (Ajax): "W-What the...!?"
The blade vanished and she stumbled back, falling to one knee as she held onto her wound, trying to stop the bleeding. She slowly looked back up at her sister, only for her eyes to widen under her helmet. Akaruime was surrounded by a blue aura with Himitsume glowing ominously, but behind her, was some form of crystallized feminine figure with gold outlining and a white cape-like thing that looked a bit like angel wings.
"So adamant... Rather than accept a life in cinders... You'd strive towards splendor-- you know the risk... Well, if those really are the shoes you've chosen... then we'll dance to the end. I am thou, thou art I... Accept this contract... The spell cast upon you."
The figure behind her spoke, her voice sounding ethereal and majestic.
Kuraime (Ajax): "W-What...? Is this... Himitsume's unknown Trump Card...?"
Devourer of Souls-Himitsume
Trump Card: Cendrillon
"After consuming 10 souls in total, Himitsume unlocks it's Trump Card. Once activated, Himitsume will summon a particular entity named Cendrillon. Cendrillon, an ancient spirit bounded to Himitsume and its wielder, will fight alongside the wielder. She is able to use a variety of multiple abilities that can prove devastating to anyone they make contact with. The downside to this is, any damage Cendrillon takes, the wielder will feel. However, if Cendrillon is struck with a special weapon like Murasame or Ketsuekime, the effects of the weapons would not be transferred to the wielder, just the initial damage dealt."
Akaruime (Hades): "You didn't think I'd fight you without preparing my Trump Card, would you Big Sis? Meet, Cendrillon." She gestured towards the being behind her.
Kuraime (Ajax): "S-So that attempt at using those nameless puppets... was just to bait me to attack..?"
Akaruime (Hades): "I'm surprised you caught on so quickly. Too bad it wasn't quick enough!"
Both her and Cendrillon charge forwards, with Kuraime gasping a little and getting back up. The extra terrestrial being attacked first, with a large blade forming in her hand as she struck at Kuraime, who managed to barely block with Ketsuekime, but was pushed back quite a bit due to her being weakened. However, immediately after, Akaruime attacked with a horizontal slash, forcing Kuraime to purposely fall backwards to dodge it, but grunted in pain. The next series of attacks, Kuraime just couldn't keep up. She was faltering badly, especially due to that injury. She stumbled back with Ajax's badly damaged armor, deactivating, revealing the extremely injured Kuraime, with her clothing badly tattered and blood staining her clothes. Eventually, she fell to her knees and slightly limped forwards.
Akaruime (Hades): "What's wrong Big Sis? Give up? Is the pain too much? Don't worry... It'll be all over soon, and I'll nurse you back to health, by dear big sister."
With no sign of retaliation from the heavily wounded ravenette, Cendrillon dashed ahead, dragging her blade through the ground as she prepared for an over head slash.
Kuraime: "...G-Gotcha..." Suddenly, she made a swift horizontal slash with Ketsuekime, striking Cendrillon across her chest, causing her to grunt and stumble back. She flashed a bit before vanishing into blue particles and retreating into Himitsume.
Akaruime (Hades): "N-No way..." She said in disbelief before suddenly, her Hades armor deactivated before she suddenly spat out a lot of blood, with a clear slash wound appearing on her chest.
Kuraime: "I knew it... The damage shares... but not the affect. And considering the fact that your drug seems to be wearing off, you were forcing yourself to keep her out. I knew she wasn't at her strongest and one good strike would take her out of the fight. At least, for now.."
Akaruime: "Ah... Ahahahaha... You really figured me out, huh Big Sis...? I expected no less..."
She giggled weakly. Now that they were both un-armored, and heavily injured, both sisters slowly stood up as the snow storm actually began to calm down a bit, making the area quieter, but the atmosphere was very somber. With every intention to end this fight, both got into their stances. Kuraime's expression didn't even seem fully focused any more, rather sad..
Kuraime: "I'm... sorry things had to come to this, Akaruime..."
Akaruime: "I'm sorry too, Big Sis... But we both know we know there's no happy ending for us... I need this to deal with my regret from back then.. so I can finally move on... Let's do this, Big Sis."
There was silence as the two sisters stared each other down, ready to land the final blow.
Kuraime: "Akaruime... My little sister..."
Akaruime: *smiles* "That's right... I love you. Big Sis..."
Silence descended upon the two before they both dashed at each other at impressive speeds for how injured they were. Dashing past each other, they both swiftly turned around, trading strikes with each other at a slower yet more impactful pace.
Eventually, one strike caused the two to be knocked back slightly, both with grunts of pain. Then, they both released a rally cry, as the blades of their respective scythes suddenly flip up and straightened out, becoming Javelin-like weapons and they thrust their Zodiacs forwards. Everything slowed down as each intricate design of the snowflakes falling around them could be seen. Then...
The sound of flesh being ripped opened echoed throughout the vacant ruined villages as Ketsuekime's blade protruded out of Akaruime's back, but the blade of Himitsume grazed and opened a deep wound along Kuraime's side.
Both sisters had straight expressions on their faces before slowly, Akaruime's eyes began to close and her body fell completely limp...
Kuraime looked down at her, her hardened expression turning somber before the two of them both fell to the white blanket that is the snow below them. Ketsuekime and Himitsume both laid next to each other, with blood on their blades. Kuraime slowly stroked the hair of her now deceased little sister as her body laid on top of her, as if she was sleeping on her peacefully... and she was..
Kuraime: "I love you too, Akaruime...... Oyasumi..."
The elder of the two let out a painful and violet cough, staining the pure white snow even further with blood. Slowly she felt her conscious starting to slip away and her body becoming colder...
Kuraime: "But... Don't worry... We'll have a second chance... We'll be able to be normal sisters again... just like how we longed for..." She weakly rose her hand into the sky. "So wait for me, Akaruime... Because... Big Sis will join you soon..."
As she felt herself slipping away slowly, she looked over to her left, and spotted Dairoku and Akame quickly approaching them, the former in his Barbatos Armor carrying the latter in his arms. Then she looked to the right and spotted the Jaegers, Wave in Grand Chariot, Kurome, Run and Lauren approaching quickly as well.
Kuraime: "Heh... Look at that, Akaruime... You're team came for you..." She released a weak laugh before looking back at the two that mattered to her the most, besides her little sister before slowly reaching out for them. "My best friend... M-My big bro... I'm sorry... to break my promise... But... I know the new Empire will be just as we... p-picture it. I... I love you guys... a lot"
Slowly her hand fell lifelessly as her eyes closed, with no life left in them...
"I know he may not care, but... tell Tatsumi... 'I'm happy for you and Mine... but despite that, I still love you... and regret never getting the chance... to tell you...' But... now I'm happy... I'm free... and most importantly, I'm with the one I love the most... My dearest little sister... Akaruime..."
"...Sayōnara, everyone..."
. . .
. . .
. . .
A few moments went past and nothing but silence descended down on the group that arrived on the scene; Dairoku, Akame, Kurome, Run, Wave and Lauren. Despite two of them being on a separate side to the other four, nothing could bring them to battle each other at the moment. All they were focused on, was Kuraime and Akaruime... The two sisters had their final battle, and in the end, neither came out alive... All they could do was just remain silent, mourning the loss of the two. In the end... Neither Sister got their happy ending..
Wave: "Kuraime... Akaruime... They both..."
He, along with Dairoku were kneeling next to the deceased sisters, his hand stroking her hair lightly. But as he moved part of her hair out of the way, a small and peaceful smile was revealed on her face, just like with Kuraime. Just the sight of that brought Kurome to tears, with Lauren and Run immediately comforting her. Akame saw this and internally, she wanted to comfort her sister desperately, however, she was holding back. But just seeing how both sisters didn't live, made her question... "Will this be the outcome of her and Kurome's soon to come duel? Is it even worth it anymore?"
Wiping some tears from her eyes, the scarlet-eyed assassin slowly looked at her boyfriend, who had a shadow over his face as his hand slowly caressed the ice cold cheek of Kuraime. This feeling was all too familiar to him... In the past, when Akame first told him of Kuraime's sacrifice in her fight against Merraid, he was devastated... To him, it was a much deeper wound than the deaths of those like, Guy, Najasho, Gin and Cornelia. Now, the pain of losing Bulat and especially Sheele returned, only much stronger than before...
Akame gained a sinking feeling as she looked at her mate, seeing some dark red lightning sparking around him. She gasped, seeing something negative about to occur and she felt danger for everyone around him.
Akame: "Everyone, get back, now!!"
Alarmed, the Jaegers looked at her, but then noticed the dangerous energy radiating around Dairoku. But it was too late as suddenly, he yelled out, bursting into dark red energy that knocked the group of five back.
Wave: "What the hell!?"
Lauren: "His power is rising quickly!"
Run: "Hold on.. look."
He pointed up at Dairoku, who was floating in mid air with his energy skyrocketing. However, Yoake began flowing and aimed its blade right at his chest before shoving itself into him, stabbing him in the chest, catching everyone by surprise and a look of horror on Akame and Kurome's face. However, instead of him dying, Dairoku remained there, fully alive, though Yoake suddenly dissolved into his chest before the vampire exploded in energy, causing everyone to shield their eyes.
Afterwards, they all looked back at him, they were surprised to find.. a demonic figure standing right there, panting heavily as dark energy raged around him before calming down slightly.
Wave: "W-What is he..?"
Lauren: "No way.."
Akame and Kurome: "...Dairoku...?"
There was nothing but silence, before he suddenly released a loud demonic roar into the sky, forcing them all to cover their ears.
Dairoku: "RAAAAAARRRRR!!!"
