Chapter 29: Kill the Demon Part 3
Lubbock: "Come at me!!!" He clawed his hands as Cross Tail's threads waved around him. "Now."
Mez: "Hmph. 'Come at me' my ass!" both her and Sten leaped out of the way as Lubbock lashed his threads out at them, the former letting out a laugh. "You're the one attacking us, with your threads flying everywhere!" Clicking his tongue in slight frustration, the green haired assassin grits his teeth from them predicting his attack easily.
Lubbock: "Tch... That was too obvious, huh?" However, immediately after, Sten appeared next to him, towering over him from his rather large height with a malicious grin on his face.
Sten: "Allow me to release your soul." He said in that same ominous tone before he unleashed hundreds of high-speed punches upon the assassin, named, "Kouken Temple Hundred Blazing Fist!!!"
Lubbock: "Old Geezer!" Using Cross Tail, Lubbock managed to create a wall of threads that surprisingly blocked all One Hundred blows with relative ease. "I didn't ask for you!!"
Sten: "Ho, you're skilled... Those threads must be either a Teigu or Zodiac." He analyzed as he backed away from him and back to Mez, who laughed and began cracking her knuckles while giving the green haired assassin an unsettling closed-eye smile.
Mez: "This time, I'll split your skull in half, and make sure to kill you~" Lubbock's response however, was to grin and laugh a bit.
Lubbock: "Heh... Flirting like that... Doesn't turn me on at all."
CHAPTER 29: KILL THE DEMON PART 3
Continuing with the battle between Lubbock and the two Rakshasa Demons, Mez and Sten, the Night Raider immediately began to bundle and bind Cross Tail's threads together, causing the two to look on in curiosity, but weariness as they stayed on guard.
Lubbock: "Bundle my threads!" He formed them into a large two handed axe as he got into a stance, holding it above his head before he began spinning it rapidly. "And, Rise, Centrifugal Force!!!"
With each rotation, Mez and Sten had to back away to avoid the swings of the axe, though while doing this, Lubbock was wide open for any attack.
Mez: "Doesn't that move have way too many openings?"
Lubbock: "Not really." He said as he wrapped some threads around his left arm while still spinning the axe with his right hand. Then he leaped into the air and dived down to them while. "Take this!! Super Secret Technique, Wire Impact!!"
He crashed down on Sten, swinging his thread axe down on him, however the buffed demon managed to catch it in between his palms and let out a scoff.
Sten: "Too soft!"
Lubbock: "What!?"
Sten: "This is your Trump Card...? Don't make me laugh."
Lubbock: "Is that so...?" He backed away, clutching onto the ground to bring himself to a halt as he disassembled his Axe. "I've already accomplished my goal. Take a look behind you!"
As he pointed behind the two demons, they looked behind them, only to find the outline of the Female Spy they chased down here, indicating that she was long gone.
Mez: "Oh, the woman got away."
Sten: "...Ho..."
Lubbock: "And now it's my turn!!" He yelled out as he broke into a full blown sprint, dashing away from them quickly.
Sten: "So he was being flashy on purpose to keep our attention while the woman made her getaway... There's no choice." He crouched down into a starting-sprint position before he launched himself directly towards Lubbock, quickly catching up in the process. "Even if it's just you, I'll release your soul!!" However, the green haired assassin just grin at him smugly.
Lubbock: "Is it really alright? For you to charge at me like that?" The large brute looked at him confused before his eyes widened. *thoughts* "Cross Tail's threads are made from the hair of a Danger Beast that lives in the clouds of the East."
Sten: "What!?"
Infinite Uses—Cross Tail
Trump Card: Realm Cutting Thread
"It uses the hairs that protect the Danger Beast's vital spots, which are especially Stiff and Rigid. The threads made from those sections are incredibly sharp, thus earning the name, Realm Cutting Thread."
Lubbock: "It's my best thread. Even you wouldn't be able to cut it."
Seeing the thin, yet extremely dangerous Realm Cutting Thread in front of him, Sten tried to bring himself to a halt, however he was to late as blood shot out of his neck from it behind sliced open with the thread. He even attempted to launch his beard at it, like a spike, but it just bounced off of it harmlessly.
Lubbock: "You're finished!!!" He yelled, throwing a thread Javelin that pierced right through his chest, causing him to gag and groan a bit.
Sten: "...Too... Too Soft, brat. This trained body won't be taken down by a wound like this."
Lubbock: "It doesn't matter how tough your body is. From the moment you were stabbed in the chest with Cross Tail... The Threads have been heading straight for your heart!!"
A look of absolutely horror appeared on Sten's face as right inside of his body, the head of Cross Tail's spear was unravelling and wrapping around his beating heart. With a swift motion of Lubbock's fingers, the threads completely severed his heart into multiple pieces, causing him to gag out blood before falling over completely limp.
Lubbock: "That part of your body wasn't tough enough."
Mez: "Wooow!! You actually defeated Sten? Impressive! The Minister's gonna be mad at us..."
She waltzed towards him, her hands behind her head. Seeing her, Lubbock quickly lashed is Threads out, creating a barrier around her that she couldn't escape from, unless she wanted to get cut.
Lubbock: "Nope, you don't have to worry about that... Sorry but, Now that you've seen my Teigu, I can't let you live.
Mez: *giggles* No need to be sorry! We're assassins after all."
However, strangely the dark-skinned blonde removed Horseshoe-like object from her hair before she reared back and unleashed an oily liquid from her body and at the green haired assassin who dodged out of the way. But his threads were coated in this liquid, causing them to start slackening.
Lubbock's thoughts: "What's this liquid...? This is bad... Because of the weight of that liquid, the threads are slackening, which makes them useless!"
Mez: "It's kinda like oil... but it's actually my sweat. We Rakshasa Demons are good at manipulating our bodies like this. And now, your defensive thread barrier is useless!"
(A/N: "Huh... Wonder who she fucked to get looking like that.")
Immediately kicking off the ground, Mez turned into a speeding blur that bounced off the walls of the alleyway and around Lubbock, who couldn't track her movements due to her moving too fast. She was comparable to Akame in speed, maybe slightly slower but still fast enough to put a professional assassin like Lubbock on edge. Soon enough, the green haired assassin gagged out blood and felt a sharp pain in his abdomen from where Mez just dealt a heavy punch to him, causing him to skid across the ground, holding the area he was just punched at.
Lubbock's thoughts: "I... can't get up... If I take another attack like that, I'd die for sure!" In a last attack, Lubbock attempted took throw two knives at the Female Rakshasa Demon, only for her to casually tilt her body out of its flight path.
Mez: "Don't be so desperate. It's unsightly." Once she closed the distance, she held up the green haired assassin by his collar into the air. Though, he took a look at her.
Lubbock: "Shit... You're so cute... If you weren't the enemy, I'd definitely tried to seduce you..." She raised her eyebrows in slight surprise before she began giggling
Mez: "I don't hate guys like you, so I might have been okay with that." She said with an innocent smile while Lubbock let out a small chuckle. But then she reared her fist back as she readied to end it. "But... Well! Let's save that for the afterlife. Bye-bye!"
However, her eyes widened and she let out a sharp gasp of shock and pain, feeling two sharp objects drive themselves right into her back; they were Lubbock's knives, but they were attached to his threads.
Mez: "...W-What...?"
Lubbock: "I tied my threads to the knives. If I reel the threads in, the knives return as well..." Letting out a pained cry and with blood flying out of her mouth, Mez fell face first into the ground, but immediately, Lubbock drove a knife through her back again, causing her eyes to widen more with small tears slowly falling out of them. "Bye-bye..."
She let out final gasps of air and tried moving her hands, only for her to fall completely limp. He closed her eyes, putting her finally at rest before he got up and began fleeing the scene.
(A/N: "God that hurt to do, cause I genuinely like Mez's character. Welp RIP, chocolate waifu.")
Lubbock: "Gotta hurry and get out of here... Maaan what a waste... Why does this always happen to me...?"
Because the Jaegers confirmed the presence of Night Raid, they raised their alert level to an All-Time High. On the other hand, because many of Night Raid's spies were killed, they haven't been able to move as efficiently.
Dairoku leaned against the wall of their hidden hideout's wall, with his left hand in his pocket. He hung his head down as he looked at a very sentimental item in his right hand... Sheele's cracked glasses, which he normally wore on his shirt. Though that wasn't all he had as also in his palm, was a very distinctive silver earring; that had belonged to Cornelia and it's the last thing he had of her... With a comforting warmth on his left side, Dairoku looked down to see his scarlet-eyed girlfriend, Akame, embracing him from his side with a somber smile on her face. He slowly returned the smile as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer.
For these two reasons, this state of statement continued... for two weeks.
