(3rd Person POV)

Tatsumi sat there on the patch of grass, looking at the graves he made of his deceased friends... After what happened three nights ago, his view on the empire changed dramatically...

Dairoku: "Yo Tatsumi." A familiar voice called out to him. When he turned around, he saw Dairoku and Kuraime, the former with a lollipop in her mouth with that stoic expression on her face while Dairoku genuinely looked sorry for the boy.

Tatsumi: "Dairoku, Kuraime ..."

Dairoku: "How are you handling it?"

Tatsumi: "It's really difficult... We swore that we'll save our hometown and when we'd die, we'd all die together... Though I'm the only one remaining..." He said sighing.

Dairoku: "I know how you feel, trust me..."

Kuraime: "Hold on to them in your memories." The purple eyed assassin spoke, catching the attention of Dairoku and Tatsumi who turned around to see her taking out her lollipop. She continued, "You still want to save your village... Use that thought and the memories of your fallen allies as a motivation to get stronger and achieve that goal."

Tatsumi: "Kuraime ..." he was interrupted by the sensation on two large soft things on his head... it was Leone. "Wooooah! What're you doing all of a sudden!!?"

Leone: "Don't keep sulking forever! It's been three days since then. Have you made your decision to become a part of Night Raid?" She asked... She never once let go of that smile of hers.

Tatsumi: "Like I said! I-!" poor dude got cut off again

Leone: "I think you have talent for murder though. Onee-San guarantees it~!"

Tatsumi: "...I'm not wavering because of talent and such... Something like murder..." He whispered the last part, while looking down to which Leone genuinely smiled

Dairoku: "Yo Leone, are you gonna show us around this place or are you gonna keep Simping on poor Tatsumi here?" Dairoku slightly joked to which Leone laughed and grabbed Tatsumi by the neck

Leone: "Yeah your right! I'll show you guys around the hideout today!"

Tatsumi: "H-Hey! My neck!" He struggled to get out of her grasp.

Leone: "By the way, this is in the mountains 10 km north of the capital"

Tatsumi: "Is that okay leaving it so open!? Aren't you assassins for hire!?" The two began to walk towards the hideout with Kuraime and Dairoku closely behind.

CHAPTER 2: KILL THE COUNTRY

(Dairoku's POV)

(In the hideout's meeting room)

Not gonna lie, this hideout is fucking cool... We ended up in the meeting room and we saw a girl with long purple hair, purple eyes and she was wearing glasses; she was also reading a book that said, '100 ways to fix air headedness', poor girl. Wait... She was the one that killed my target the previous few nights...!

Sheele: "You hadn't made your decision to join yet?" she asked looking at us,

Leone: "Yeah Sheele."

Dairoku: "You're the one who killed my target..." I said crossing my arms and looking at her. She took a look at me then tilted her head in confusion; it made sense as I was in my Zodiac-Armor at the time...

Sheele: "You were the one in that strange black armor correct?"

Dairoku: "Yeah, nice to meet you Sheele. Name's Dairoku and this is my little sister, Kuraime. That poor guy over there is Tatsumi"

Sheele "Sister...? You two look nothing alike..." She commented, tilting her head to one side.

Dairoku: "Right, we actually aren't related but after our parents disowned us after selling us to the empire, I took it upon myself to look after her..." I explained, causing Kuraime to clench her fists... I noticed and held her hand, causing her to ease up a bit.

Sheele: "Ahh, I see... Sorry to bring that up..." she apologized, bowing her head slightly to show respect but I quickly put an end to that by patting her head and reassuring her.

Dairoku: "It's fine. Looking forwards to working with you Sheele." I smiled at her, causing her to smile back with a slightly blush and nod.

(A/N: "God I love Sheele so much. Second Best girl, Akame 1st.")

Leone: "Shower them with some warm words for me" she said, though I knew exactly what was about to come...

Sheele: "In the first place, now that you know the location of our hideout, you'll be killed if you don't become one of us. You should think about it carefully"

Dairoku: "Fair enough." I said with Kuraime nodding emotionlessly

Tatsumi: "That's so warm, it's making me tear up" He said with sarcasm in his voice which almost made me snicker. We were about to move on until an obnoxious voice filled the room...

Mine: "HEEY!" ... Ah for fuck sakes... We all turned around to see a pink twin pig tailed girl with pink eyes and she wore an outfit that screamed spoiled brat... "Wait a second Leone! Why are you letting THEM into the hideout!?"

Leone: "Cause their apart of us, Mine"

Mine: "You don't know that! They don't have the boss' permission either!" She swiftly looked at Tatsumi with a killing glare, Tatsumi just sweat dropped. "Not qualified! It doesn't seem like he'll be able to work with professionals like us at all, from looking at his face!"

Tatsumi: "What!?"

Dairoku: "Says the one in a bright pink dress... perfect fit for an assassin." I rolled my eyes as I mocked her. She gave me a glare that didn't faze me, in fact, it gave me a chance to better study her face... Suddenly, her expression chanced to one of shock.

Mine: "Y-You're the one who dodged my shots aren't you!???" That night at the mansion when I met Sheele, I suddenly got attacked from my blindside. Someone shot a golden energy bolt at me... It was her???

Dairoku: "So it was you?" I let off a dark aura as I smiled wickedly, showing off my fangs to her. She began sweating bullets but I just laughed, causing my aura to disappear. "Don't worry, I won't kill you..." That...... was a lie... I want to kill her so badly...... She kind of sighed in relief to my surprise. Then she looked at Kuraime

Mine: "...Who's she?"

Leone: "She's the one who went toe to toe with Akame"

Mine: "E-EHHH!??? YOU WENT AT IT WITH AKAME AND LIVED!?"

Kuraime: "Yup." She just nodded with those derp eyes of hers. Mine just stared at her, bewildered.

Mine: "And she acts just like her! What the hell!?"

Kuraime: "Well, her, big brother and I were all a part of the Elite Squadron for the Empire, so yeah... And she's my equal, though if I had to say, I'm slightly faster than her." she just said out of the blue before we began to leave the room.

Dairoku: "Look at you, bragging that you're faster than Strawberry." I smirked at her, causing her to blush and hit my arm.

Kuraime: "Shut up, Baka."

Dairoku: "Sure, sure, Grape-Head."

(Cut to the training grounds)

We ended up at the training ground where there were many wooden practice weapons; behind it were a lot of trees. There was this buffed dude who was swinging a wooded spear around like crazy; that was some impressive spear-work. When he stopped, he put a towel over his shoulder.

Bulat: "Ah... Hey there Leone, and those three with you, they... they're the ones form before"

Tatsumi: "How do you know us?"

Kuraime: "He was the one in that armor Tatsumi."

Tatsumi: "Ah!"

Bulat: "Name's Bulat, nice to meet you all" he shook all of our hands

Leone: "Oh and by the way, he's gay" Tatsumi immediately panicked a little.

Bulat: "Hey, hey, you'll give them the wrong idea~" I swore I could see flowers and sparkles around him as he said that... I couldn't help but snicker at this

Dairoku: "I don't discriminate. Nice to meet you Bulat, name's Dairoku and she's my little sister, Kuraime. The poor guy's Tatsumi. Also that's some impressive spear-work you got there, I'd love to spar with you in the future." I said to his delight

Bulat: "Ah my man! I'm looking forward to it, Dairoku!"

We were walking through the forest behind the hideout but I swore I could smell a pervert nearby... I was right. I guy with green hair and green eyes, he was peeping into the hot spring, waiting for a nice 'feast'

Lubbock: "It's almost time of Leone's bath. I won't think twice about the danger if it's to see those breasts!"

Leone: "Is that so? Then how about I break two fingers"

Lubbock: "BAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

I crossed my arms as I saw Leone bend two of the pervert's fingers backwards; fucking pervert... If he dared to try that to Kuraime or Akame...... or even Sheele...

Leone: "You never learn Lub."

Lubbock: "Fuck! I can still go on!"

Leone: "Then it's one arm next. This idiot here is Lubbock." She said to us while dropping his arm. She and Tatsumi began to walk off but I decided the place the poor dude's arm back in place

Lubbock: "Thanks man..."

Dairoku: "Don't thank me. If I see you trying anything with Kuraime or Akame... or even to Sheele..." I conjured up a blade of flames and twirled it around him, narrowly missing his neck. "I won't miss next time. Got That?" I warned and gave him a deathly glare, causing him to sweat drop and nod swiftly. I made the fire weapon disappear and walked off along with Kuraime. Tatsumi looked like he was gonna collapse from exhaustion.

Tatsumi: "I don't think I can take another..." he sighed

Leone: "Ahahahaha. Well the next one is a real cutie so you should look forward to it~ There she is. Hey Akame!" What stood in front of us, shook Tatsumi's core... Akame... she was roasting a giant bird... Kuraime upon seeing the giant bird, literally began drooling... oh boy...

Tatsumi: "D-Did she kill that giant bird by herself!?" he practically shouted as I tried to hold Kuraime back from stealing the food

Leone: "She may not look it but, Akame's our wild child" She answered to which I added,

Dairoku: "Both her and Kuraime... The amount of food we burnt through from them..." Akame stared at us and grabbed a drumstick before throwing it at Leone.

Akame: "Here Leone."

Leone: "Thanks bud!"

Then she looked at the three of us, more specifically me and Kuraime. She gained a small and sweet smile and waved us over. I gave up trying to hold back my sister and let her run wild towards Akame while I went to go sit next to them. As Kuraime grabbed a drumstick and began to devour, Akame pointed at Tatsumi,

Akame: "Have you decided to join us yet?" she asked

Tatsumi: "N-No..."

Akame: "Then I won't share my meat with you"

Tatsumi: "That's fine..." he mumbled as Akame held her arm out to me, giving me the opportunity to take some of her blood. Seems like she remembered that I since I'm a vampire, I can't taste any food, only blood and some drinks. Though when I first told her, she was saddened.

Taking the blood of people I share a really close bond with increases the time before I need to consume more blood and so far, the only people that I've shared that close of a bond with are Akame, Kuraime, and some others I wish not to speak of......

Leone: "Yo Akame, how come everyone's on edge today?"

Akame "The boss is back" she simply answered. Behind the giant bird thing, was a woman who looked she was in her mid twenties... she had silver hair, an eye patch over her right eye, a purple eye and a green metal right arm; wait... That's General Najenda...

Najenda: "Yo." She waved at us to which Leone and I waved back... Kuraime briefly looked at her and nodded before going back to eating

Leone: "Boss! Welcome back! Did you bring back anything for me?" she cheerfully asked, attempting to hide something that both me and Najenda saw through

Najenda: "Why would I do that Leone? Especially when I heard that you went over the operation time limit in the last job three days ago, eh?" I knew what was coming and so did Leone as she ran past me but I grabbed her and threw her towards Najenda.

Leone: "Damnit you betrayed me!" she shouted to which I just shrugged

Najenda: "Thanks" the boss said to me. I just gave her a thumbs up. "As for you Leone, it's not good to enjoy fighting with a strong enemy too much... Do something to fix that habit of yours."

Leone: "I-I got it, so spare me please!"

Najenda: "By the way, who are these three?"

Leone: "Oh! I recommend these this young lad, boss!" she proudly stated, pointing at Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: "Stop doing that!"

Akame: "And I recommend Dairoku and Kuraime." she stated, gesturing to me and my sister, to Najenda's surprise. Kuraime smiled at her, causing her to smile back, while I chuckled and poked her side, causing her to yelp a little before giggling lightly and elbowing me with a light blush on her face.

Najenda: "Hmm... Akame recommending someone is new, let alone two people... Do they show any promise?"

Leone: "This young lad" she was talking about Tatsumi, "Shows a lot."

Akame: "And Dairoku and Kuraime were a part of my squad in the Empire. Their just as strong, if not stronger than me." She stated in a somewhat proud tone, as Leone added,

Leone: "That's right! Dairoku here dodged shots from Mine without any issue and caught me off guard with Lionelle while Kuraime-Chan here, went toe to toe with Akame. The two were practically on the same level." I chuckled lightly while Kuraime blushed from being complimented.

Dairoku: "Don't sell yourself short Akame, you're the strongest person I know." I told her, causing her to blush slightly and fumble with her food.

Akame: "T-Thank you..." she mumbled, causing me to chuckle.

Tatsumi: "Is this some sort of part time job!?"

Akame: "The wage is high too."

Najenda: "I see... If she went head on with Akame and lived, then she is definitely a strong one... As for the boy with the white hair, I can sense a great amount of power coming from him... I feel like he could even rival Bulat... Akame, gather everyone in the meeting room. I want to see the results of the previous operation in detail, including about these three."

(Cut to the meeting)

The members of Night Raid stood in the meeting room with Tatsumi, standing in the center and Kuraime and I standing next to Akame and Bulat. Akame and Leone had just finishing explaining what happened on their last mission and their encounter with us to the boss who was sitting in front of us

Najenda: "I see... I understand the situation completely. Tatsumi, would you like to join Night Raid?" she asked the young naïve boy

Tatsumi: "I'm dead if I decline right?" Najenda shook her head in response.

Najenda: "No, that won't happen but we wouldn't allow you to leave either. We'll have you work as a laborer in our workshop. At any rate, you won't die if you decline. Given that... What do you think?"

Tatsumi: "... I... was planning to go out to the capital and become successful to save my village which is suffering from poverty... But even the imperial capital's rotting."

(Cue the boring explanation... You've watched the anime or read the manga if your reading this so we gonna skip a head.)

Kuraime and I barely were paying any attention as we understood the situation fully... I was pulled out of my thoughts when Tatsumi excided said something about Assassins for Justice or some crap. I just dead palmed as everyone laughed except for Akame and Kuraime. Tatsumi got pissed at them for laughing until I said something...

Dairoku: "No matter how you put it Tatsumi... We're still murderers... There's no justice in anything we do. Any of us could receive our retribution and die at any moment. Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask them if honor matters... The silence will be your answer..."

The others nodded in agreement as Tatsumi looked shocked as how seriously we took this...

Najenda: "Each person has their own reason for fighting, but they're all prepared... Will your opinion still stay the same?"

Tatsumi: "Will I get rewarded?"

Najenda: "Yeah. If you work properly, you'll be able to save a hometown or thereabout." Tatsumi gained a determined expression like an idiot and clenched his fist before exclaiming,

Tatsumi: "Then I'll do it! Let me into Night Raid! If it's for a big goal like that, Sayo and Ieyasu would have done the same!"

Mine: "You might become unable to freely return to your village, though" She added, but Tatsumi... surprisingly remained determined.

Tatsumi: "That's fine. As long as everyone in the village can be happy through that." He replied with, causing Mine to look at him before looking away with a 'Hmph...'. This Tatsumi... I definitely see him becoming powerful with that kind of determination... But his Naïve nature... that needs to go away... Najenda then looked at me and Kuraime who looked dead serious and asked,

Najenda: "You two seem to be well experienced with this." She mentioned

Dairoku: "Well, as Akame mentioned, her, Kuraime and I were all a part of the Empire's Elite group of Assassins, The Elite Seven+. We've been taking lives for a long time... it's basically a hobby now, though it's much more controlled now." I explained as I put my arms around Akame and Kuraime. Najenda nodded as she began stroking her chin before she continued to ask questions.

Najenda: "I see... And if I may be so bold to ask, those weapons and armors you have, they're not Teigu are they?"

Kuraime: "They aren't. They're called, Zodiacs." Kuraime explained causing everyone but Tatsumi's eyes to widen in shock.

Akame: "You both got Zodiacs?" Akame asked tilting her head to one side.

Dairoku: "Yeah... It's a long story though... Well, our Zodiacs were... how should I say... were what pretty much saved us. I don't really remember what happened to be honest... All I know is I was on the brink of death, and the next minute, I'm a Vampire with a Zodiac." I explained to the best of my ability, scratching the back of my head.

Kuraime: "Same for me. I don't really remember what happened..." She said, holding her head a bit. "But, what I do remember is what Dairoku told me... That I was brainwashed and turned against you two with... Najasho... Speaking of, is he..."  At this Akame and I exchanged looks.

Dairoku: "No clue where he ended up. I was lucky enough to find you, broken and confused."

Kuraime: "I see..."  Her gaze turned to the floor as she slowly clenched her fists. The thing was... Kuraime was in love with Najasho before he disappeared in that Gravekeeper Domain. So knowing that he was either dead now or still alive must have been very conflicting for her.

Najenda: "I see... Well then, let me ask you both this. Do you wish to join Night Raid?" She asked. I was about to answer, when Kuraime piped up.

Kuraime: "I hate nothing more than corruption. When I worked for the Empire, I thought I was riding the country of corruption that was lurking... Turns out I was just aiding in the corruption... I despised myself for believing them so easily when I joined... But now, I want nothing more than to rid this country of its corruption and seek Vengeance upon those in the Empire who wronged and took advantage of us."

Dairoku: "Couldn't have said it any better myself sis... So yeah, we would like to join Night Raid." Akame smiled at us while Najenda smirked.

Najenda: "Heh, alright then. Welcome to Nigh Raid, Dairoku and Kuraime. And Welcome to the path of Carnage, Tatsumi." Suddenly, the wires on Lubbock's glove began to spazz out as he gained a panicked look...

Lubbock: "Intruders, Najenda-San!" he yelled. Then I realized what was happening... That was his Teigu, Infinite Uses, Crosshairs...

Najenda: "What're their numbers and locations?"

Lubbock: "According to the reaction from my Barrier, it's probably 8 people! They've all infiltrated close to the hideout!"

Dairoku: "I can smell the corrupted blood of them... Their close... Way too close..." I mentioned as my nose twitched from the stench.

Najenda: "They're good... To sniff out this place means... they're probably mercenaries of another race..." she mumbled before lighting a cigarette. "There's no other way... It's an emergency sortie. Don't let any of them return alive."

Kuraime: "We'll put them to sleep, permanently." Akame and I nodded in agreement before we all moved out swiftly.

(3rd Person POV)

Currently, Dairoku and Akame stood next to a river in front of three mercenaries, who were all topless; two wore hoods...

Mercenary 1: "The fact that they're here, means their hideout really is somewhere around here... It was worth searching steadily." the first man said before looking specifically at Akame. "Still, what a cute girl." Dairoku's eye twitched...

Mercenary 2: "Looks like we can still have some fun after we kill her." The second man said as Dairoku clenched the handle of Yoake tightly...

Mercenary 3: "Don't damage her body too much. But let's get rid of the guy first." The third man said, which caused Dairoku to snap... Before Akame had a chance to attack, Dairoku transformed Yoake into its rifle mode, as he swiftly fired it at the first man, the fiery bolt of energy burning right through his skull.

Panicked, the third man was about to ready his weapon, if not for Dairoku throwing Yoake in sword mode, blade first into his chest, absolutely destroying his heart. The second man began to panic so much that he began struggling to hold his weapon. Before he even had a chance to react, Dairoku rushed up to him with the arms of his Zodiac-Armor replacing his own. He used the clawed hands of his TS to grab the man by the arms, making sure he dropped the weapon and he began to lift him slowly off the ground, slowly and brutally crushing the bones in his arms. He gave him a devilish grin to clearly show off his fangs and said in a crazy yet demonic tone,

"Taking advantage of beautiful girls just for you self enjoyment... Have you no shame?" His reaction was priceless as he began shaking his head and apologizing, like mad. Dairoku didn't even think about letting him go as he gave him a wonderful present, a bite from a vampire. "Sorry, not convincing enough."

He then brutally bit down on his neck, my fangs tearing through his skin and busting his veins, causing all his blood to come rushing into his mouth. He tried resisting by flailing about and hitting Dairoku on his back but his strikes were getting so weak that at one point, I thought he was just trying to give him a back massage. When he was finished, Dairoku looked at him only to notice that he looked so pale like the gray stones beneath them, but he knew he was still breathing. Dairoku gave him one last sentence before ending him there,

"Tell Death I said 'Hi'." He dropped his nearly lifeless body and as his armored arms disengaged, he began changing... Dairoku began to transform into a hellish creature, a hellhound...

(Dairoku—Hellhound form)

As his hellhound form, I brutally mauled on the guy he just drank the blood of, all whole; it was a blood bath. As he finished, he looked back at the blood scatter... guts and organs were everywhere and the faces of the men couldn't even be recognized.

Dairoku: "Pathetic..." he growled as he slowly shifted back to his humanoid form and he went over to pick up Yoake; surprisingly, there was no blood on the blade, meaning that Yoake already had absorbed the blood... He turned around, only to see Akame looking shocked... He then realized what he did and looked away, while holstering Yoake on his lower back.

Dairoku: "Sorry about that Akame... I lost myself in the moment there..." he sheepishly apologized, only for Akame, who was blushing to shake her head.

Akame: "N-No, it's fine. It's just... I didn't know you could Shapeshift now." she replied quietly, her face flushed with a huge blush.

Dairoku: "Oh right... When I was reincarnated, I gained the ability to shapeshift into Hell creatures. Comes pretty useful, though the Empire knows of this ability.

Akame: "I see... What about your Pyrokinesis? Do you still have that?" the response she got from that was Dairoku conjuring up flames in his left hand before extinguishing it.

Dairoku: "Yep, and I have more control over it than ever.

Akame: "That's good to hear." She smiled in slight relief. "We're finished here, so we could head back."

Dairoku: "Of course." He said smiling before the two began walking back towards the base.

From a cliff above them, Kuraime was standing with three dead bodies behind her, all with black flaming marking all around their bodies. She smiled, seeing her big brother and best friend like this. However, her attention was soon grabbed by yelling. Looking over, she saw a guy who was originally down, rushing at Tatsumi with a sword. She quickly leaped into the air and pounced on him before wrapping Ketsuekime's blade around his neck and ripping it clean off his body. Kuraime looked at Tatsumi, with a cold expression.

Kuraime: "Don't waver... You should land the killing blow promptly. With you hesitating like that, you'll just end up dead." She coldly said to him, causing him to look at her completely shocked and slightly annoyed.

Tatsumi's thoughts: "Without ... even batting an eyelash, she..." Soon enough, Bulat appeared, wearing his Incursio armor.

Bulat: "The enemy came running over here, right!? Leave the rest to me!"

Kuraime: "They're already dead, Bulat." She stated, giving him the derpy eyes.

Bulat: "Huh?" Was all he could say. "Damn, you really are like Akame. I can see why you two are best friends... Kinda scary..."

(Back at the Hideout, just outside it.)

Mine: "WAAAHHH!!!!" The pinked haired idiot exclaimed before pointing accusingly... "What the hell is that!?" she was pointing at a Hell-Phoenix that Akame was climbing off the back off. Once she did, she began to stroke the underside of its neck.

Akame: "It's Dairoku, Mine. He can transform into Hell Creatures, thanks to his vampiric abilities."

"That's Right, Pinky."

(Dairoku—Hell-Phoenix)

Mine just looked annoyed at Dairoku before pointing at him and began to go on a rant about him not having respect towards her and blah, blah, blah...

Dairoku: "You must look real crazy right now, ranting to a giant bird..." he casually said before transforming back to his humanoid form. "Pinky."

Mine: "WHY YOU-!"

The other laughed as Kuraime smiled and shook her head while Akame giggled lightly. Najenda began to address Tatsumi.

Najenda: "Nice work on your first battle, Tatsumi."

Tatsumi: "Y-Yeah."

Najenda: "But hearing Kuraime's report, there are also some things to be uneasy about... In order for you to survive, I see that you need someone to teach you a lot of things. Team up with Akame and learn from her." he looked terrified...

Tatsumi: "WHAAA!?"

Najenda: "But don't worry, Dairoku and Kuraime will be there too." She added on before turning to the three, Akame and Kuraime with a drumstick each as Dairoku sat on the ground, sharpening Yoake's blade with a rock. "Got it you three?"

Dairoku, Akame and Kuraime: "Uh huh."

Tatsumi's thoughts: "Just like that!?"

Najenda: "You can kill him if it seems he'll get in the way."

Akame and Kuraime: "Uh huh."

Dairoku: "Got it." Tatsumi was sweating bullets now.

Tatsumi's thoughts: "'Uh huh!? Got it!?'"

Najenda: "You're lucky to be able to be taught by two cute girls." She said to him.

Dairoku: "She's right... But don't you dare try anything with them, else you'll be my next victim to consume." Dairoku glared daggers at Tatsumi, causing him to sweat drop heavily and for Najenda to laugh.

Najenda: "You have quite the protective boyfriend, Akame." She commented, causing both Akame and Dairoku to blush and look away while Kuraime giggled. Tatsumi however didn't laugh and looked at them...

Tatsumi's thoughts: "I'm going to team up with them... for now on!?!?"
