(3rd Person POV)

Within the halls of the compromised Hideout, Akame and Kuraime traded strikes with the enhanced soldier, Toby. Toby was keeping up surprisingly with both of their speed, however, he couldn't prevent Akame from slashing off his left arm.

Toby: "Tch."

Though just as Kuraime thought, he didn't have a heart, so Murasame's poison didn't take effect.

Kuraime: "I knew it... He has no heart... He's just a machine meaning our weapons are useless against him for one cut kills."

Akame: "If that's the case, we'll have to chisel you away like this." She said as she got into a stance with Murasame, her purple eyed partner doing the same with Ketsuekime. "It's going to be quite painful."

Kuraime: "But don't worry, we'll do our best to make it as quick as possible."

Kuraime and Akame: "So prepare yourself!!"

Toby, however, only smirked as a blade popped out of his dismembered arm.

Toby: "Fuh... I no longer have... those kinds of feelings."

CHAPTER 16: KILL THE MAD SCIENTIST

(3rd Person POV)

Toby dashed towards the two long haired assassins, with him throwing a slash with his in-arm blade, though Akame stepped in front of Kuraime and parried the attack. However, the moment Toby opened his mouth, a gun barrel popped out, forcing Akame to break the blade lock and dodge the bullet, with it piercing through her long black hair, before Kuraime made the next attack, slashing off Toby's right arm. The heartless man yelled as from his detached right arm, was a gun muzzle. However, both of the girls ducked underneath him, dodging any bullets he sprayed.

Toby: "Below!?"

Not wasting another second, both ravenette slashed both of his legs, disconnecting them from the shins, completely immobilizing him. Though immediately after, a javelin made out of the threads from Cross Tails shoved itself right through at and at the same time, lightning surged through the entire javelin, surgically electrocuting his body inside out causing his body to spazz out a bit before he fell onto his knees.

Toby: "You... How unrefined of you two to interrupt..."

Lubbock: "I have no intention of just sitting back and watching when our hideout and my friends are in a tight spot."

Mira: "And besides..." she twirled Genso no Sutoraikā and rested it on her shoulder. "You're battling two of the most nimble and skilled assassins simultaneously. If you wanted a fair fight, then maybe don't pick a fight with two opponents at the same time." Toby fell silent before he sighed.

Toby: "...Well... even if we had continued, and turned it to a one-on-one... it probably would have been my loss... Akame... Kuraime... Please tell me. Just what part of me was inferior to you both...?"

Akame: "...Your attacks were very intense, but... There were many gaps for counterattacks... is what I think..."

Kuraime: "She's right... An example would be your first attack. It was powerful and fast, but when you were suspended in midair, you were left wide open. And after that, all of your attacks were easily readable."

Toby: "Fufu... My defense was weak... huh." He downcasts, accepting his fate. "Having no sense of pain is a problem... Isn't it..."

Kuraime: "It is... But you were a formidable opponent. You may rest now... warrior."

Immediately with a swift swing of Murasame from Akame, Toby's head was decapitated, ending his life.

Upon seeing the Air Manta flying above the area, Tatsumi, Mine and Dairoku all looked up at it, to be shocked.

Tatsumi: "What is that...! More enemies!?"

Dairoku: "An Air Manta... But why is it here...?"

Mine: "Wait a second!" she opened a compartment on Pumpkin's chassis , taking out a type of scope before looking back up at the Air Manta, seeing Najenda and the three cloaked figures behind her. "It's the boss! They must be reinforcements!"

Dairoku: "Perfect Timing."

Tatsumi: "Haha! And it's so unfair!"

Mine: "...Why?

Tatsumi: "She makes her appearance riding on something that cool!? I wanna ride it too!!"

Mine: "Huh...? I thought so before... but you have weird tastes..."

Dairoku: *sigh* "Why am I not surprised......"

Unknown to them however, an intruder was lurking in the bushes behind Mine, ready to strike with a malicious grin.

Intruder: "Oh how adorable! Young, lady... Your back is wide open!!!"

He leaped out of the bushes at Mine. Dairoku, being the only one that noticed him, transformed Yoake into its gun form and got ready to shoot him, however, Leone beat him to it, powerfully kicking him in the face.

Leone: "You've done it now!!! YOU BASTAAAARD!!!"

Intruder: "GUHOHH." Everyone turned to see this scene going down. "Gi... Gigi... Gi... It's hurts... help..."

Leone: "You know... I like doing surprise attacks, but I HAAAAAAAATE BEING THE VICTIM TO THEM!" She sounded really pissed off, which was extremely rare for such a carefree person such as Leone... "It looks like you've been pretty strengthened up, but don't think that you'll die easily because of that."

Mine, Tatsumi and Dairoku looked at her, sweat dropping a bit as Leone's grip on the guy's neck tightened. However, a he grinned as a blade popped out of his right foot and he made a swift kick to her head, but unfortunately for him, Leone immediately caught it in between her teeth.

Intruder: "She... blocked it like this... Befo-"

He didn't even had the chance to finish his sentence as Leone grabbed his face and crushed him into the ground, creating a small crater and killing him instantly.

Leone: "Fuuuu. That blow I took from the surprise attack was pretty effective." She said as she stretched a bit before she looked back down at the intruder. "Ah, whoops. I beat him in one hit."

Tatsumi: "N-Nee-San, are you okay from that just now?"

Leone: "My ability to recover is heightened when I transform, so this much is fine."

Well, after that fiasco, Akame, Kuraime, Lubbock and Mira had finally met up with them.

Akame: "You're all safe!!"

Tatsumi: *thumbs up* "Yeah!"

Kuraime: "Thank goodness!"

Mine: "With this, everyone's here."

Dairoku smiled under his helmet and looked to his now, girlfriend, who smiled sweetly at him. Though before any celebration could happen, the team were all surrounded by an army of Dr. Stylish's enhanced humans.

Dairoku: "Tch... Talk about persistent..." He growled as he backed up to Akame, standing back to back with her.

Tatsumi: "So there's still some left..."

Lubbock: "But with these guys, that's it for whoever's setting the strings off." He said, looking at Cross Tails.

Leone: "And there's no scent of anyone else nearby."

Mira: "Not only that, but I can't pick up on any energy signatures nearby besides these guys."

Tatsumi's thoughts: "It's probably Dr. Stylish by himself who tailed us here... Then we can do this!!"

Akame also backed up into Dairoku a bit, her back pressing against his armored one.

Dairoku: "Welp, seems like we're in for a longer night. You ready?"

Akame: "So long as I'm with you, I'm always ready." She smiled confidently as she locked her fingers with his armored ones, causing him to chuckle.

Tatsumi: "Alright! Now that we're all here, let's beat them all down!!"

Everyone: "Yeah!!"

However, before they even had a chance to do battle, Akame's eyes widened as she found herself collapsing to the ground. The armored Vampire immediately noticed and caught her in his arms.

Dairoku: "Akame!"

Tatsumi: "Huh!?" It wasn't her however, as every member from Night Raid, besides Tatsumi and Dairoku all collapsed onto the ground. "What's wrong you guys!?"

Mine: "S-Suddenly, my body... won't move..."

Tatsumi: "...Th-This feeling... It's like that time on the boat...? Hypnosis?"

Dairoku: "... No... If it was, we would be affected too..."

Akame: "He's right... This... is Poison..."

Tatsumi: "Poison!?"

Kuraime: "Tch..." She grunted as she slowly and weakly stood back up, weakly lifting Ketsuekime. "We should have... used our Zodiac-Armors from the beginning, Mira..."

Mira: "Y-Yeah... That was our mistake..." She grunted as she kneeled, using Genso no Sutoraikā for support.

Dairoku's thoughts: "Even without Barbatos, I would be fine since my Vampiric blood... Though I would be slightly weakened..."

As Leone and Kuraime managed to fully stand, though they were struggling to stay upright, Dairoku looked at the army surrounding them before he looked down at his girlfriend and gently caressed her cheek before resting her on the ground.

Akame: "D-Dairoku..." He simply smiled at her from behind his helmet before he looked at Tatsumi.

Dairoku: "Tatsumi... you and I are the only ones still standing. It's our job to protect them at any and all costs!"

Tatsumi: "Right! Let's do it, Aniki!!" Dairoku glanced at him, shocked from the what he called him, but smirked.

Dairoku: "Alright then!!"

However, before the battle could begin, something crashed down in the center of the army, sending multiple of the enhanced soldiers flying all over the place. As everyone looked on in shock, they all spotted... a very tall man... Taller than Dairoku even... He had blue hair and white front facing horns, with a red disc-like object on his chest and he had crushed one soldier with his massive Stave-like weapon.

Leone: "An ally... right...?"

Mira: "I... don't know..."

(Play Song)

From the Air Manta, Najenda stood on it with only one cloaked figure behind her this time as two of them were missing.

Najenda: "It seems dangerous for me of Chelsea to drop down. For now, I'll give orders from here."

Chelsea (cloaked): "Roger."

Najenda: "Now, exterminate the enemies before you!!! Susanoo!!!"

Susanoo: "Understood."

His deep voice sent chills down everyone's spines. Soon, Susanoo's Stave, known as the Wolf Fang Mace released spinning silver blades before he dashed towards the army and ripped them to shreds immediately. Some tired to pounce on him from his blind side, however, he immediately swung back, slashing them all to bits.

Tatsumi: "S-Strong...!!"

Dairoku: "Amazing... But how is he unaffected by the poison...?"

From the distance, Dr. Stylish and his personal soldiers watched as Susanoo massacred their army.

Me (Eye In jap): "Wha...! A new guy is sweeping through all of the infantry!"

Mimi (Ear in Jap): "It can't be! As long as they're an organism, there's no way the poison doesn't work!"

Dr. Stylish: "If that's so, I don't need any materials for experiments and, like this." He took out a detonator and pushed it, causing the corpses around Susanoo to unleash a series of explosions, engulfing him completely. "Fufu... Human bombs for special situations! With this, it's finished."

However, when the smoke cleared... it turned out Susanoo survived, his left arm missing and some major wounds in his body...

Mimi: "Is this perhaps...!"

Me: "That ally..."

Suddenly, Susanoo's left arm grew back and all of his wounds were completely healed...

Mimi: "An biological-type Teigu..."

Me: "A Human Teigu!!!"

Speed of Lightning—Susanoo
Teigu Form: Human Biological-Type
Wielder: Najenda

"Susanoo is a biological Teigu and the first one shown in the form of a Human being. Because of his nature as a Teigu, he is able to regenerate injuries as long as his core is not destroyed. He also seems to be immune to poisons and toxins that would kill ordinary warriors. He wields a Stave-like weapon called Wolf Fang Mace with blade protruding from it and is extremely proficient in battle. He is also very adept at housework and cooking."

Everyone stared bewildered from the display Susanoo put on, however he then looked at Mine, who was still lying on the ground.

Mine: "Wha... What..?"

He walked over to her, causing her to tense up and sweat... however, he completely straightened up her hair.

Susanoo: "There. Fixed."

Mine: "Wha....?"

Back with Dr. Stylish, he realized that this invasion wasn't going to plan and began frowning a bit.

Me: "H-Hey boss? What do we do know...?"

???: "Oh I have a suggestion."

The sassy feminine voice sent chills down the spines of Me and Mimi as suddenly, a red just as a red blade was shoved through the heart of Hana (Nose in Jap). Right behind him, a dark gray armor suddenly fazed into view, indicating that it had on some form of active camouflage that was deactivated. This armor had ear-like segments on its head, glowing blue eyes, a scarlet red scarf around the neck and looked very streamline. She also had two red blades on her arms, the one on her right arm held in a reverse grip.

Me: "What!?!? How did one of them sneak up on us!?"

???: "For someone who's name translates to eye, you really are blind, Hehehe. There's a thing called..." She suddenly zipped behind him, leaving after images behind her. "Active Camouflage."

She then swung her right blade, which was held in a reverse grip, slashing Me's left arm decapitating it with little to no issue, before she dashed away from them.

Me: "GEH!?"

Dr. Stylish: "I-Impossible... One snuck up on us without us knowing..."

Mimi: "We've been spotted!!"

Dr. Stylish: "There's no choice!! We're retreating, no need to try the impossible here!" He said as he began fleeing with Mimi and Me.

Najenda: "Good job, Levi!" She yelled from the Air Manta at the armored girl. She grinned under her helmet and gave the former general a thumbs up.

Levi: "Of course, Najenda-San!"

Eye of the Storm—Ventus

"Ventus is extremely light, making it seems like an easy weapon to pick up. However, they are extremely dangerous. Its ability is identical to the destroyed Shingu, Kiriichimonji, being able to inflict permanent wounds that will never heal, no matter what the user does. The red veins in the blades store energy that can be used to enhance the speed of the wielder or can be used to send out red waves of energy to cause extraordinary damage and can even cause small explosions. "Srivatsa is a close range, ground combat type Zodiac-Armor, with incredible mobility, but light armor. However, its armor is still thicker than Ajax and Alkonost. Srivatsa also has an installed active camouflage for stealth purposes and the ear-shaped binders on its head act like radars to alert the wearer of enemy locations. Next to Ajax, Srivatsa requires the most skill and mental skill to use efficiently."

Najenda: "Keep them at bay! Susanoo! There are enemies hiding in the woods to the southeast! Join Levi and squash them, no survivors!"

Susanoo: "Understood!"

As Dr. Stylish tried fleeing with his remaining two soldiers, he was panicking a bit, gritting his teeth tightly.

Dr. Stylish's thoughts: "Poison won't work against a Biological-Type! I need to either destroy the core or do something about the user... As for that new armored warrior, that Armor doesn't look durable like Bale and Barbatos, I would need to break her defenses!"

Suddenly, red energy slashes in the formation of an X struck right behind them, creating an explosion that knocked them back.

Dr. Stylish: "It seems she won't let us run no matter what..." He grunted as Levi and Susanoo was seen, standing in front of them.

Levi: "Of course not! You guys know too much. Let's knock 'em dead, Suu-San!"

Susanoo: "Understood."

Me: "Don't worry, Stylish-Sama! We will definitely protect you!"

Dr. Stylish's thoughts: "No, this situation is impossible... These aren't opponents that you guys, made for reconnaissance, could beat. And the one of the enemies' a Human Teigu while the other is in that armor, making them not affected by my specialty of poison... Bad... This is unfair!!"

Dr. Stylish: "When it comes to this... Prepare yourself for the worst!!" He yelled as he pulled out some form of serum before injecting it in himself. "Trump Card Number 2, Danger Beast, one dose!!! This is all I've got!!!"

Suddenly, his body began to mutilate and grow into something massive...

Dr. Stylish: "Here it isssss!!! THIS IS THE ULTIMATE IN STYLISHNESS!!! BY BECOMING A DANGER BEAST MYSELF, I'LL BLOW ALL OF YOU AWAY!!!"

Me: "As expected of Stylish-Sama...!" But suddenly, he grabbed him and lifted him up. "Huh?"

Dr. Stylish: "You are my precious nutrients! Let us become one!!" He said as he began to consume him to make himself more powerful.

Mimi: "Ugh...." She said in disgust before suddenly, she was consumed too.

Dr. Stylish: "Wonderful! A hearty meal of nutritious meat and I level up!!"

The assassins from Night Raid, looked up at the giant Stylish Danger Beast in shocked and slight horror.

Tatsumi: "Wha... What is that!?"

Mine: "It's making me sick." She said as Leone lifted her up over her shoulder. "That thing's just like... A Monster."

Mira: "Just how desperate is he?"

Dairoku: "Very desperate it seems......"

Dr. Stylish: "But at this size, it isn't enough! Looks like it won't be able to reach that... In order to stand higher, It needs to be bigger!!" He then reached down for Levi and Susanoo. "I'LL HAVE YOU BOTH!!!"

However, the two immediately leaped out of the way of the attempted grab. Susanoo slammed his Wolf Fang Mace against the Danger Beast Stylish's arm, however, it barely budged.

Susanoo: "It's tough."

He remarked before the Danger Beast Stylish knocked him back. Just after, Levi appeared right above the arm and with both blades of Ventus in a reverse grip, she spun around and slashed against the skin of the Danger Beast Stylish, however, barely any damage was done, though some wounds that would not heal were made.

Levi: "Ohoho! He big mad now! Mad Scientist big mad!" she yelled as she dashed out of the way of him attempting to grab her again.

Tatsumi: "Oh no! That thing's strong!"

Dairoku: "Tch... Come on Tatsumi!"

However before the two could even move, they were stopped by Akame and Kuraime, the former tugging on Barbatos' tail and the latter on Incursio's cape.

Akame: "Wait. You two can move..."

Kuraime: "Then take us with you."

The two armored Assassins looked back at them, while smirking.

Tatsumi: "Alright!!" He said as he picked up Kuraime and began carrying her towards the battle, piggy back style.

Dairoku: "Get ready for the piggy back ride of your life!" he smirked at her, causing her to giggle lightly as he picked her up the same way and dashed towards the Danger Beast Stylish.

Dr. Stylish: "Hahaha, what's wrong you two!?" He taunted as Susanoo and Levi kept dodging the punches of the Danger Beast Stylish. "Feel free to take the offense more!!!"

However, he halted upon spotting Dairoku and Tatsumi, with Akame and Kuraime on their backs.

Dr. Stylish: "Hm. What's this, a piggyback ride? You all look pretty unsteady on your feet. LET ME SQUISH YOU!!!"

The Danger Beast Stylish reached for the four Assassins, however a golden blast of spiritual energy to its head, interrupted it; it was from Mine, who was on the Air Manta while Najenda helped her aim. However it wasn't over yet as Levi sped around the Danger Beast Stylish's legs, slashing at them while imbedding red energy beam arcs into it before detonating them, causing the giant hunk of flesh to lose balance and tumble over on its back.

Dr. Stylish: "You...!!!

Tatsumi: "End of the line, Dr. Stylish!!!"

The two armored assassins leaped onto the giant Danger Beast's body, holding the two ravenettes on their backs while they dashed towards the head. The Danger Beast Stylish tried to grab them, however, Susanoo stopped it in its place by ramming it with his Wolf Fang Mace.

Dr. Stylish: "NOT YET!!!"

Tubes with pointed spikes at the end, sprouted from the back of the Danger Beast Stylish's head before launching themselves at the four assassins, however, for them, this was just close enough.

Tatsumi: "It looks like you both can cut there!"

Dairoku: "Then rip his heart out, girls!"

They both threw the ravenettes towards Dr. Stylish, while tanking the hit of the Tubes. Kuraime, activated her >Evernight Raven< next to Akame, turning the two best friends into a flurry of purple and red raven feathers as their velocity increased significantly, before...

"ELIMINATE!"
"OYASUMI!"

One slash across the chest from the One-Cut-Kill-Demon-Sisters was all it took to stop the fight immediately. As the markings of Murasame and Ketsuekime crept up on his skin, Dr. Stylish was left speechless.

Dr. Stylish: "I... I still wanted to do... all kinds of human experiments...... Wh... Why... Do I have to be... so unfortunate...?"

With the curses reaching his heart, The Danger Beast Stylish fell over, completely limp and lifeless, just as Dairoku and Tatsumi caught Akame and Kuraime bridal-style, respectively. The other members of Night Raid looked on with happy expressions as Dairoku and Tatsumi grouped up with Susanoo and Levi. After Tatsumi had set down Kuraime, who was now able to stand, Dairoku did the same with his now girlfriend.

Dairoku: "As clean as usual." He gave her a thumbs up, causing her to smiled at him before they all gave Dr. Stylish's corpse emotionless stares.

Akame: "Since you were able to die quickly and easily, you're still fortunate."

Kuraime: "But tell the devil we said hello."
