(3rd Person POV)

Tatsumi and Wave, two Armored Teigu wielders, now stood in an intense standoff, with both not knowing who's really under the other's armor.

Wave's thoughts: "He's strong. As a veteran, my moves are more polished, but... I can't go easy on him..." He continued to analyze his opponent while Tatsumi did the same from within Incursio.

Tatsumi's thoughts: "This guy! Is it Wave or someone else...? Either way..." He was about to make a move, with Wave waiting to counter whatever it was gonna be... But suddenly, a black and purple object dropped from the sky, taking both armored males my surprise before the Grand Chariot was dealt a kick to the chest, causing him to skid backwards.

Wave's thoughts: "Another one!?" He regained his firm footing and looked into the smoke that was arising only to see a sleek, Black and Purple armor, wielding a large Demonic Scythe. Only then he realized who it was...

Wave: "That armor and that Scythe... No doubt... You're Death's Assassin, Kuraime!"

Kuraime: "Hmph." He was indeed correct about the accusation.

Tatsumi: "Kuraime! You're-OW!" He was cut off by the Armored Reaper smacking the back of his head with the shaft of Ketsuekime.

Kuraime: "Baka! You had me and the others worried sick!"

Tatsumi: "I'm sorry, Kuraime!" He apologized while bowing towards her. Kuraime just sighed and shook her head.

Kuraime: "For now, just forget it." She dismissed as she helped him up onto his feet before she whispered to him. "Who is he?"

Tatsumi: *Whispering* "I feel like that's a guy from the Jaegers I met. His name is Wave. And apparently, that Armor, is the successor of mine."

Kuraime: "I see..." She looked at Wave in the Grand Chariot Armor, analyzing him before she looked back to Tatsumi, and nodded slightly, which Tatsumi picked up on and returned it. The two got ready, before purple flames spit out of the Thrusters under the Cloak and on the calves of the Ajax armor as Kuraime blitzed away in the form of a Raven while Tatsumi leaped away.

Wave: "Huh!?"

(Kuraime's POV)

I used my >Evernight Raven< ability to blitz up to a higher rock formation before dashing across it using the calf thrusters of Ajax to move quickly while keeping an eye on Tatsumi to make sure he gets away from that Wave person. Though, I feel like I should signal Akame and Lub, who were in the area to my location now... Seeing a chance, I stopped moving as my Armored eyes began to glow a bright purple.

Kuraime: "Time to sent out the signal." My eyes shot out purple beams into the sky that formed into a bright Purple Raven Symbol projected in the sky, to alert my nearby teammates. Think of it as some sort of Bat-Signal, but it can work in broad Day-Light thanks to the dark purple background that surrounds the symbol.

(It's basically a Raven and the background's dark purple so it can be seen easily in the day)

Kuraime: "The others should see that Raven-Signal and come to our location. Now..." I paused upon noticing in the corner of my eye Tatsumi getting punched into a massive rock by Wave, denting his armor a bit... He's good... "Damn..." I cursed under my breath as I blitzed over to Tatsumi, standing defensively over him. "Are you okay?" I glanced back at him before eyeing down Wave.

Tatsumi: "I am..." He grunted as he slowly stood up, holding the dented area of his Armor. "This guy's powerful and fast..." He's not wrong about that... from seeing of quickly he caught up to Tatsumi, then he's very quick... and that strength he displayed was formidable... However, where I lack in physical Strength... I make up for it in sheer speed.

Kuraime: "Well too bad for him, I'm faster. Go! Return to the others, I'll hold him off."

Tatsumi: "A-Are you sure?"

Kuraime: "I am. Now go!" I ordered him, causing him to nod and leap back into the air.

Wave: "Oh no you don't!" He too leaped into the air, after Tatsumi, but I quickly beat him to it.

Kuraime: "You have a date with me!" I kicked him in his face, sending him crashing back down to the ground, though he landed on his feet. I landed in front of him, twirling Ketsuekime around before I pointed it at him. "Or are you about to back out of it?"

Wave: "That Scythe..." Seems like he noticed Ketsu. "Murasame's Sister, Ketsuekime. Heh, that's scary, however, a Zodiac like that, is useless against my Grand Chariot!" Well he seems confident and full of himself... Though he's not wrong... Ketsuekime's affect would be useless against him... unless I break his Armor which will take a while to do.

Carnage Incarnate—Grand Chariot

"Grand Chariot is nearly identical to its predecessor, Incursio. When released, it takes form of a black, full-body Armor with a Phantasmagoric defensive film in place of Incursio's more traditional Cape."

Wave: "You know, I'm not a fan of hitting Girls." I scoffed...

Kuraime: "What? Are you afraid of being beat by one?"

Wave: "Ladies first." Alright then smart guy... Though... I don't want to hang around him for too long, as one good hit on me, and I'll be down... I took up on his offer and dashed towards him before using my >Evernight Raven< to blitzed around him, leaving raven feathers in my wake. "F-Fast!" He seemed so surprised... yet he was so confident earlier... I was striking his Armor from all directions for a bit before I dashed and away and went in for a Horizontal Strike but he predicted this and leaped up into the air. I looked up and... "GRAND FALL!!!!!"

He suddenly accelerated significantly and performed a Drop Kick which I barely managed to dodge out of the way by using my Thrusters to leap high into the air. When I looked down, I was surprised to see that his Kick made a massive crater... Talk about power... But I think it's about time I disappeared... So I used my >Evernight Raven< to make it look like I teleported away, though I was just moving so fast. However, I left him a little goodbye gift.

(Wave's POV)

Damnit! I missed and she got away! I never knew she could teleport! Or... did she just move so fast that it looked like she did...? Damn, I still need to find Tatsumi though! I was about to move out, only to see... something falling from the sky... It looked like...

Wave: "A Raven Feather?" I caught the feather in my hand and looked at it confused... But then I realized... Every time she moves really quick, she leaves behind Raven Feathers... Maybe if I find... Wait... On the Feather, was written something in purple ink...

"'Night Raid says thank you for making our job easier.'"

I looked confused before suddenly the feather glowed a bright purple before...

*BOOM!*

Wave: "WHAT THE FUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!?!?!?!?!?!"

CHAPTER 14: KILL THE DANGER

(Dairoku's POV)

So good news! Akame and Lubbock found Tatsumi! He was pretty banged up but alive and well. Though Kuraime still haven't came back... and it's starting to worry me...

Akame: "She'll be alright, Dairoku." I looked at her, who was rubbing my shoulder to ease my nerve. Then a hand on my other shoulder caused me to look to my left, to see Mira.

Mira: "She's right Senpai. Kuraime-Chan's one of the strongest Assassins ever."

Dairoku: "Yeah I know... But to hear that this Armored Teigu user could be fighting her right now still worries me..." As if my prayers were answered, Kuraime came walking into the Base's meeting room, completely unscathed. "Kuraime! Are you okay?"

Kuraime: "I'm fine Big Bro, just slightly exhausted." She smiled genuinely at me, causing me to release a sigh of relief. Then she noticed Tatsumi, who was sitting down on a chair with some bandages on him. She walked over to him and slapped him in his face.

Tatsumi: "OWWW!!!! WHAT THE HELL!?"

Kuraime: "Don't you DARE make me worry like that again!" Then she hugged him tightly. "Do you have any idea what that psychopath could have done to you if she found out you're one of us...?" Tatsumi was taken aback by her tone and her action but hugged her back.

Tatsumi: "I'm sorry, to all of you..."

After all of that, Tatsumi was telling us information about that new Imperial group known as the Jaegers... And there's nine of them...

Tatsumi: "And that is the combative force of the Jaegers that I witnessed." He finished, leaving us all shocked and slightly worried...

Mira: "7 Teigu users and 2 Zodiac users..."

Leone: "This is gonna be tough!"

Dairoku: "Those Lauren and Seryu girls... they're apart of them..." I clenched my fists, remembering the fact that they were the ones that killed Sheele...

Akame: "I can't believe Kurome's a member..." I looked over to Akame, to see her looking down frustrated. Kuraime's hair was shadowing her eyes as she looked down as well.

Kuraime: "Akaruime... Why..."

Tatsumi: "Why didn't you guys flee the Empire together?"

Akame: "When I broke away, I invited her, naturally, but... My sister chose to stay... As far as she's concerned... I'm the traitor."

Kuraime: "After I came back to the capital with Dairoku, we both knew that we had to defect... So I looked for my sister and urged her to leave with me... but just like Kurome, she chose to stay behind... calling me a traitor and all..."

Akame: "Those two... ever since they were a part of the Capital's Assassination unit, they've been everything together... I understand Akaruime for not abandoning her best friend..." I looked at the too, knowing what they meant, especially since when I defected, I had to leave behind Mira. I went over to the two of them and rested my hands on their shoulders to provide a feeling of ease.

Kuraime: "Tatsumi... Were Kurome and Akaruime sharing a bag of sweets and eating them all the time?"

Tatsumi: "Yeah. They were both always munching on candy. It seems like they were at it every chance they had." I could see Kuraime's face expression worsen upon hearing that and her eyes darken...

Kuraime: "..."

Akame: "... I see..."

Mine: "Akame." We looked over at her to see her preparing Pumpkin. "I've said this before, but... even if she is your little sister, if she attacks us, I'm going to fire a shot right through her." Then she looked at Kuraime. "That goes for your sister, Kuraime. I'm sure both Kurome and Akaruime are aware of that." I just fell a slight tick of annoyance before I dashed next to her and curved Yoake's blade around her neck. "WHA-!?"

Dairoku: "Listen here, Pinky. You DON'T have the privilege of killing Kurome or Akaruime. Never had, never will. That privilege only belongs Akame and Kuraime. No one else. Understood."

Mine: "I-..." I inched the blade closer to her neck, shutting her up immediately. "R-Right."

Dairoku: "Good." I holstered my Zodiac and glanced at Akame and Kuraime, who both looked shocked. I then looked down at my hand. "Besides, I care just as much about those two as I do with Akame and Kuraime... If the opportunity arises, I would like to not kill either of them... Rather, I would like to try and cure them..." My Barbatos Claw appeared on my left arm, the red orbs glowing brightly.

Akame: "Dairoku..."

Kuraime: "Big Brother..." I smiled at the two and gave them both a thumbs up.

Lubbock: "Hmm..." I looked over to the green haired Lub. "I wish I had more information on these Teigu and Zodiacs..." He was looking down at two books, one was the book of Teigu, and the other one he was writing information about the news ones in... "Seryu's had some enhancements made to her personage, is that right? Rubicante's famous, but it'll be difficult to devise a countermeasure for it."

Mine: "That flying Mastema is written about in the records but I don't know what other secrets it may hold..."

Mira: "I don't know much about Mastema either, besides it is most effective at long range..."

Dairoku: "Let's not forget Lauren's Rerumukattā. The bladed boomerangs are as sharp as Extase, and the Spectral Energy that it stores, makes it even sharper and faster when in mid-flight... It's basically an Anti-Armor Teigu and Anti-Zodiac-Armor weapon."

Leone: "Yikes, that's scary."

Dairoku: "And her Zodiac-Armor, Bale, is the sister-unit for my Barbatos, so me and her would be on equal levels in terms of power."

Tatsumi: "Ah, that reminds me. What's Kurome's Teigu and Akaruime's Zodiac?"

Dairoku: "Their Teigu and Zodiac, like Murasame and Ketsuekime, are 'sisters'."

Akame: "For Kurome, March of the Dead—Yatsufusa. Those it cuts come back as her personal zombies. The curse works on up to Eight people at a time. It can also make use of the skills her puppets had when they were alive. When the control over them is released, they revert back to corpses."

Kuraime: "And for Akaruime, it's Devourer of Souls—Himitsume. As Big brother said, Himitsume and Yatsufusa are 'sisters' in a way, both having the ability to summon the dead to fight for them. However, there is one glaring difference... Himitsume collects the souls of those it slashes, but the difference is, the user is able to, instead of using the Souls to summon minions, they can have Himitsume fully consume the souls to empower its strikes significantly. If it consumes 10 souls, Himitsume unlocks its Hidden Ability, which as of now, we have no idea what it is yet."

Dairoku: "And the Zodiac-Armor that accompanies Himitsume is, Undead Manifestation—Hades. It's a light armored, speed-type, Armor with a razor-sharp Scorpion-esc tail that it can attack and pierce enemies with and has a half cloak that stores some unknown ability. It's basically Ajax's sister unit."

Tatsumi: "Woah, Woah!" He exclaimed, looking terrified. "So if Kurome cuts me, I'd go over to the Enemy's side!? And if Akaruime cuts me, it's her choice if she wants me to convert or have that Scythe consume my soul like dinner!?"

Dairoku: "Yeah, that's just about right."

Leone: "And since you'd be dead, there'd be no saving you."

Mine: "Murasame and Ketsuekime are harsh too, but... Yatsufusa and Himitsume's even more so..." She too began to sweat a little.

Dairoku: "True, but at the same time, controlling so many Puppets at the same time will put a strain on their bodies and Himitsume's even more dangerous considering if it's fully consumed the maximum of 10 souls, the strain on the person's body would be almost too much to handle. You'd have to have a powerful and durable body, which is why no one knows its Hidden Ability. However, considering the training Akaruime went through and the drug enhancements she takes, she'd be able to use it without faltering. Even Kurome would be able to if they were to switch relics." Lubbock sighed and leaned back in the couch.

Lubbock: "Still, that's the last way we want to die. That leaves Grand Chariot, the armor type, and Perfector."

Mira: "No one really knows much about Grand Chariot, but I do know that since it is Incursio's Successor, it's supposed to be more enhanced. However, it's unknown if Grand Chariot can evolve like Incursio, so if I was to judge, I'd say, despite being Incursio's Successor, Grand Chariot is at the same level at it in terms of power, only if it cannot evolve and adapt." Then she began to sweat a bit as she pushed up her glasses... "Perfector on the other hand... I've seen what Dr. Stylish can do and it's terrifying how fast he can work on patients and upgrade Teigu and even Zodiacs and Trinity Souls..."

Mine: "Since they've got a doctor, he's the first person I want to bring down. I'd love to have Perfector on our side."

Leone: "That Teigu sounds super useful..." We all nodded in agreement.

Dairoku: "Agreed... Though considering the speed that Doc could work at with it, he'd be difficult to take down, since he could have an army of enhanced patients..." I sighed as I sat down in between Kuraime and Akame, the latter resting her head on my shoulder. I looked at Tatsumi and noticed that he was looking a bit anxious... until Leone forced her Tits into his face.

Leone: "Your efforts really paid off. Just knowing what kind of people we'll be taking on is a big help! Well done, Tatsumi!" I swear... this chick's only purpose is to shove her tits into this poor boy's face...

Tatsumi: "I... I'm just glad the information was useful to you..." He struggled to say as he tried getting out of her grasp. I glanced at Kuraime and noticed her arms were crossed as she looked annoyed at Leone. Seems like a little bird's jealous.

Mira: "Such filthy acts..." I hear Mira mutter, causing me to chuckle and shake my head. Mira's always hated things that were remotely perverted. Welp, looks like she's gonna be scolding Leone a lot after this.

Mine: "So..." Tatsumi's finally managed to get out of Leone's grasp. "...Just how strong would you say the guys are after seeing them up close?"

Tatsumi: "...As far as Esdeath goes... she was exceptional... To be honest.. I don't think I could win against her as I am now..."

Dairoku: "That's to be expect... I mean, when I trained with her, I barely could even stand half of the time. And that was just training."

Lubbock: "W-Wait! You TRAINED with Esdeath before!?!?"

Dairoku: "Yup. It was to learn how to manifest this burning flame inside of me so I could do something like this" I said as flames suddenly burst from my right hand.

Mine: "You could control fire?? Since when??"

Dairoku: "Since birth to be honest. Though I never really used it since joining Night Raid. Back then when I was with the Elite Seven, my flames were difficult to manage and control. So I asked Esdeath to train me to control them better, since her Teigu worked in a similar way to my Pyrokinesis. She accepted and now I've basically mastered it. However... I still have scars from training with her... It felt more like a fight for survival than actual training..." I said darkly as I rubbed my stomach where one of said Scars was.

Lubbock: "D-Damn... That's scary..."

Mine: "We also don't know the limits of her Teigu, right?" She turned to Lubbock.

Lubbock: "Nope. Nothing about how far or how completely it can freeze things."

Mira: "Demon's Extract is truly the strongest of all Teigu. Esdeath-Sama doesn't even need a water source to create Ice. I've seen it myself, how brutally she utilizes its abilities... The only known weakness is that once she consumes the blood to give her the Teigu's abilities, if she didn't have such a strong will, she would have been driven to complete madness and become like a mindless animal... Besides that... there's no Physical weaknesses or limitations that we know of."

Akame: "...It's true that Esdeath is strong, but... she had a weakness." We all looked at her.

Leone: "...And that is?" Akame stood up quickly, presenting Murasame to us.

Akame: "She's alive... She had a heart. And so... I will cut it out. Even if she is the Empire's strongest!" She announced, determined. We all looked at her, but Kuraime suddenly stood up next to her, one hand on Akame's shoulder and the other presenting Ketsuekime to us.

Kuraime: "You're not the only one on this Akame. Remember, I hold the sister of your Murasame."

Akame: "Kuraime..."

Kuraime: "She could most likely handle you by herself... However... Let's see how she handles the both of us. The One-Cut-Demon Sisters will curse her Heart to the deepest depths of Hell!" She said also determined as Ketsuekime glowed ominously in response. Akame looked at her before smiling.

Akame: "Right." We all looked at them while smirking in determination and encouragement.

Lubbock: "Heh, heh!"

Tatsumi: "Akame... Kuraime..." He smiled at the two.

Dairoku: "Heh... Smart thinking Strawberry." I patted her arm. "Esdeath may be the strongest. She may fight like a demon, but she's alive, just like us. Once scratch of either of those weapons, and she's done for."

Lubbock: "You both really are our Trump Cards. I wouldn't have it any other way!"

Mine: "Don't brag honors students. You'd both better be true to your words."

Leone: "We ought to work something out once we've got a strategy."

Mira: "I would say, our best option would be to get Esdeath on her own so you two can do battle with her."

Akame: "That sounds plausible." Then she looked at Kuraime. "And since you're the faster of us two, then you'd have a better chance of landing the killing slash."

Kuraime: "Right. And you're more tactical than I am, so you'd have better luck dealing with her attacks."

Dairoku: "Alright then." I smiled at the two as they both sat back down on either side of me. "Now that we have that settled, anything else we should know about the Jaegers, Tatsumi?" We all turned our attention to him.

Tatsumi: "... I think each member of the Jaegers is equal to each of us. Since the boss is away, in terms of numbers, we're at a disadvantage. If we had a run-in with them now... we'd be in trouble. I don't think sheer fighting spirit and idealism will be enough to cover our asses." Now... he's got a point there... There are 9 Jaegers, including Esdeath, while for us, we only have 8 of us since Najenda's away... This is gonna be rough...

Dairoku: "Then let's hope for the best that Najenda comes back with reinforcements... In the meantime, we should try and get our hands on the strongest Zodiac."

Akame: "You mean Absolute Zero?"

Dairoku: "Yeah... Considering the Empire already has Demon's Extract, it would be serious bad news if they get Absolute Zero..."

Tatsumi: "It's one blast and the target freezes to death, right?"

Dairoku: "Yeah, but it doesn't only work on people. It works on weapons, armors... Even Buildings..."

Leone: "So if they were to find our base and fire at it..." She started while sweating a little while Lubbock finished it

Lubbock: "...the entire thing will come crumbling down on us..."

Dairoku: "Exactly... So I'm thinking when we find its location we go for it as soon as possible."

Kuraime: "But if we get it, who will be it's wielder?"

Dairoku: "Hmm..." I began to think... but then I looked at Mine. She seemed to have noticed and began to sweat.

Mine: "You can't be serious..."

Dairoku: "Well for one, none of us are experts at long range weaponry. Two, you wouldn't feel any strain having it since you wouldn't be using it simultaneously with Pumpkin, you'd only be using it to take down Buildings, massive targets or anone we consider way too deadly like Esdeath. Surely, our Master Sniper is up for the task, right?" I smirked at her, causing her to look away, a blush of embarrassment appearing on her face. But she seemed to have understood since she nodded with a smirk of her own.

Mine: "Well when you put it like that, I don't think I have a choice anymore."

Dairoku: "Alright then, now that's covered. Let's figure out what to do next." I said, causing them all to nod at me.
