You and the others were walking about the village taking in the sights for your last week before headed to the capital. "Ah who needs this, we can always ask for a postcard when we get famous" you, Sayo, and Tatsumi all laughed with him at the pathetic joke "Whose we Ieyasu. Your probably gonna end up sweeping streets or doing grunt work while we get the gold, fame, and worshippers." Tatsumi and Sayo both laughed as you joked about Ieyasu. However it was Sayos' laugh you were after more than Tatsumis'. He was a friend yeah, but he wasn't the subject of your affection, he was the guy you pinned the irresponsible things you did on becuase he would be too shocked at the accusation to deny it. "Well guys I'm gonna take (F/N) so we can practice our sniping skills" tugging on your sleeve she led you towards the edge of the village as yoy both headed for your normal training ground "Sniping? That's my field of expertise. Why do we need to work on it when it's clearly you who needs the training." She slugged your arm playfully for the comment "Cause your gonna help me (F/N). Or would you rather stare at my ass more?" You chuckled "I'm not Ieyasu or Tatsumi. I prefer your brain over your ass" you out your hands in your pockets. Deciding to get your digs in on her too you added "Besides you need an ass for it to get stared at" earning another playfully, albeit more powerful, punch from her. "You want to die in the village don't you." You shrugged "If it means not listening to the twin idiots on the way to the capital." She nodded "So very true" you now got ready to begin teaching her.

"Don't let your enemy get so close to you Sayo" you say, inches apart, a carved out wooden training knife held to her stomach. Both of you panting as you had been having a mock battle. "Maybe I want them close so I can finish them personally" she suddenly ripped the knife away and shoved you to the ground in a tackle. Holding it to your throat now as she leaned closer "I think I won the fight (F/N)." You nodded, and were shocked as Sayo leaned closer and kissed you softly. "There's your reward for almost beating me." your face became red as you blushed, so hot you felt like it was summer. In the desert. Suddenly regret and self hate crossed her face as she pulled back "Dammit why did I do that" she looked away from you, a blush of her own growing. "I'm sorry (F/N) I don't know what came over me." Now it was your turn. Pulling her close by the collar you turned to meet her lips in another soft kiss "Don't be. I've wanted to do that for a long, long time." She smiled and hugged you "Good. We didn't end up with unspoken feelings." And you two sat there kissing for awhile.

You smiled as you laid with Sayo in her bed. It was the last night you would be living in the village, and both decided to end it with a bang. And you did just that (Pun very much intended). "I love you (F/N). I can't wait till we're famous. Then we can spend all day in bed." And kissed you again. You smiled too, liking the idea.
