Y/n P.o.v

I had the form of Haverstlion, I took hold of the mystique scythe, and swung it down towards Zeth. He blocked it with his bow, shoved it to the side, and took hold of my neck.

I kicked his knee that made him kneel, and I backflipped while kicking under his chin. I landed a few feet away, then charged at him and swung my scythe diagonally.

Zeth recovered his composure, and blocked my attack. Now, we had our weapons locked.

Zeth: "Finally!!! Someone who is worthy of my time!" He said with excitement. "I wonder how far can your body hold all the attacks I have stored for you."

Y/n: "You will never get the chance to find out once I'm done with you!" I pushed up our weapons, and swung the scythe down.

He jumped back and pulled the string. The bow magically created an arrow of light. He let go of the string, and the arrow flew towards me. I moved my top body so the arrow flew by me.

He pulled the string and let go three times, making three arrows fly towards me one behind the other.

I deflected the first two, and I backflipped dodging the third one because it almost hit my head. I landed and saw Zeth high in the air, aiming ready to shoot the arrow.

Zeth: "Rain of Arrows!!!" He let go of the string, and many arrows burst from that single shot. I started to swing around the scythe, blocking and deflecting every single shot, but it cost my surroundings to be destroyed.

During those swings, I concentrated on the scythe, so that the blade be engulfed in purple flames. Once I felt that it was enough, I deflected one arrow to the side, then swung horizontally towards Zeth, making a line of fire go towards him. Then, I jumped after it, ready to thrust the hilt towards him.

Zeth dodged the fire, but was met with the hilt on his abdomen. I took hold of his face, and threw him behind me. After I threw him, I saw Wave in his Grand Chariot armor, coming from above with a kick.

Wave: "GRAND FALL!!!" I blocked the kick with the hilt part, and was pushed down. I landed, moved his leg to the side, then hit him in the face with strength to sent him away.

I blocked an attack from above by Kurome, and sent a kick towards her. She dodged the kick by jumping, but I sent her a high kick, and sent her behind the destroyed throne.

I looked at Run who was flying around. Then, he landed behind Esdeath, asking her what are her orders. She didn't answer, she just stood there, with her rapier in hand, and her eyes looking at me.

I made my eyes show from the darkness of the hood, and locked eyes with her. Hesitantly, she took her battle stance with her rapier up front.

Y/n: "Come on Esdeath..." I took my stance. "...wasn't this what you wanted? Or are you going to chicken this one out?" She shook her head in disappointment, yet sadness.

Esdeath: "I told you, your insolence will be your death." She charged at me and I charged at her.

Once our weapons clashed, a gust of wind burst, and our fight started. We stabbed, swung, blocked, deflected, and parried faster than the human eye can process.

We were like this for a few minutes, and I saw her smile started to grow. She was enjoying this. I parried one of her attacks, we locked our weapons, and started to struggled with one another.

Y/n: "You're enjoying this way too much, Esdeath. Maybe you should take a break." I joked. Her smile grew even bigger.

Esdeath: "I've finally found someone who can stand against me for more than a second. It fills me with joy that I can finally have the best fight of my life.~" She got closer me, and whispered: *I'm glad that you have trained harder for the sake of this moment, Y/n.* I smirked.

Y/n: *You honor me with your compliment Esdeath, but this is a fight to the death remember?* I whispered back.

Her smile started to turn into a small frown, barely visible if I say so myself. She looked at me, and I saw something different, like she didn't wanted to fight.

I looked behind her, and saw a small cat running our way. 'Hold up... cat?' I thought very confused. The cat looked at me, it winked, and passed us. My eyes widened and thought in realization: 'Chelsea!'

I looked behind Esdeath again, and saw that the others were going to attack me. I concentrated on the floor, pushed Esdeath away, and made flames burst high to the roof shielding Night Raid.

I turned to the others and they were gathering, helping those who are injured, and Chelsea was back to normal. They looked at me. I revealed my face and walk towards them.

Y/n: "You guys have to leave, I'll hold them off."

Akame: "No, not without you Y/n. Not like last time."

Y/n: "I promise that I'll meet you guys up north in the mountains. You guys HAVE to go."

Mine: "How do you even know where we're going?"

Y/n: "No time to explain guys, seriously you MUST leave." I heard ice cracking. I turned around, and saw that Esdeath was making a path for them to cross. I concentrated more on the flames to be more hotter, and saw the ice melting away. I turned to Night Raid, and saw Mez landing behind them. "Lubbock, your girl is here." Lubbock turned around and ran towards her.

Lubbock: "What took you so long? I thought we were meeting here."

Mez: "I was making a path to the north, like Y/n told me to." She nodded to me, and I nodded back.

Y/n: "GO!!! NOW!!!" Susano was helping Najenda to get out first. Tatsumi and Leone helped Bulat to get out because he had a wound on his leg. Sheele, Mine, and Chelsea walked out.

Lubbock: "See you on the other side, bro." I nodded, and Mez helped Lubbock out. Akame looked at me. She was worried.

Y/n: "I'll return to you Akame, I promise." She nodded, but she also ran towards me and gave me a quick kiss on my lips.

Akame: "Return in one piece this time." She started limping towards the exit, but Mine arrived on time and helped her.

If it weren't for Esdeath trying to get through, I would've just stood there, and analized what had happened. I shook my head, and turned to the flames, and concentrated more. 'Just a few more seconds, so they can escape.' I thought.

After a minute, I put my hood on again, and let the fire died down. I jumped high, and saw that they were confused of where did everyone went. I was over Wave and started to fall toward him.

Y/n: "GRAND FALL!!!" I mimicked Wave's move and dropped on him with a kick which made a crater around him.

I swung the scythe hitting Kurome towards a pillar, then swung back towards Zeth, but he blocked it. I jumped and made a split kick, hitting Zeth and Esdeath who was about to cut me in half. I used the scythe to grab Zeth, pulled him and kneed him on the face, making him go through the wall. I grabbed Wave with my legs and backflipped, sending him away from me to give me time to escape.

I turned around and was met with Esdeath rapier under my neck. The place was lit on fire, and smoke was rising high. Run was behind Esdeath with a calmed expression and posture. Esdeath on the other hand, she was shaking a little.

Esdeath: "I should put you down! Right here and now!" She said with anger and hesitation. "Why on earth can't I finish it and be done with it!?" I saw Run looking at her with a realization expression. I was a little confused to why, but it wasn't the time to think about it.

Y/n: "Sometimes the hardest choices requires the strongest will." She looked at me, and I made the hood disappear, revealing myself. "But sometimes, we must put our pride aside to do what's right. You know what you're doing is wrong, but this lust for fight and blood is what makes you fight for the Capital."

Esdeath: "I choose the winning side. And the winning side is never weak."

Y/n: "Deep down, somewhere within your heart, knows that the Capital will lose. And you know that the weak can become stronger, if you train them properly." I locked eyes with her. "We were never born strong, we were weaklings as a baby, but when we grow up, we become stronger for those who we care about. Who we love." A pillar fell behind Run, and the fire was getting hotter and dangerous. "I lost Seryu because I wasn't there for her, and I learned my mistake! But I won't let it happen to any of you! Not in this life, or in the other!" I assured her. "Save Kurome and Wave, and get out of here! This place is falling apart!" She didn't lowered her rapier, but she sighed and lowered it.

Esdeath: "I will see you on the battlefield." She walked away and Run was behind her. I turned to crows and flew out of the mansion. I first went east for a few miles, then started heading north.

============Timeskip============

Esdeath P.o.v

It's been three days, since Borick was killed. Three days since we've encountered with Night Raid, and Y/n.

Right now, I was on my way towards the infirmary, where Wave and Kurome were being treated. Once I got there, I opened the door, and saw both of them sitting on the bed with bandages on their bodies. Run was at the bottom of Wave's bed, reading a book. He noticed me, and greeted me.

Run: "Good evening General." He bowed his head. I nodded, then turned to the others.

Esdeath: "How are you two feeling?"

Kurome: "I feel fine." She said with the same emotionless expression.

Wave: "My back still hurts. That punk used my own move against me." His eyes widened, like he realized something. "Wasn't he the guy that helped you before?" My eyes widened in surprise.

Esdeath: "Yeah, that was the same person that helped me before." I nodded.

Wave: "Then why did he helped you if he was with Night Raid? It doesn't add up."

Esdeath: "I don't know myself. You should get more rest, and heal. I'll come later to check on you both." They nodded, and I left. After a few second that I started walking to my room, someone called me.

Run: "General Esdeath." I stopped and turned.

Esdeath: "Yes Run."

Run: "May I speak with you. In private." I nodded, and started heading to my room.

Once I got there, I opened the door and sat on my chair looking out the window. Run entered and closed the door.

Esdeath: "What do you wish to speak with me?" He sighed.

Run: "It's about what happened in the mansion. The encounter with Y/n." My body tensed a little. "Are you going to report to the Minister about his allegiance with Night Raid?" After he said that, I started to think.

I had thought about reporting him to the Minister, thought about telling the other members of the Jaegers about his identity, even tell Zeth, but something held me back.

Speaking of Zeth, after that night, he went to his room, with Kassandra treating his wounds. I've encountered with her, and she asked me if Y/n was okay. I told her what happened, and that Y/n was fine as ever. She was relieved, and headed towards her room.

Luckily, Run kept quiet. He knew that Y/n was a member of Night Raid, yet he kept quiet with no reason to. 'Guess that he was curious now that things are calm.' I thought.

Esdeath: "No. Let's just leave it like that. I rather not have him being hunted by Zeth or any other bounty hunter."

Run: "May I speak freely?" I nodded. "The reason that you don't want to report him, is because you're in love with him?" I flinched and stared at him like he just said the most outrages thing in his life, which he did.

Esdeath: "How dare you say that!? The one I love is Tatsumi and no one else! There's no such feelings towards an insolent, disrespectful, fool like him!" I declared.

Run: "If I may again, then why didn't you killed him in the spot that night? Knowing that you both don't have a good relationship, I thought that you would've struck him down. But I saw hesitation, something I never thought it would've been possible to witness. Something that I thought you would've done with Tatsumi." I stood up, took out my rapier, and aimed it at him.

Esdeath: "What you're saying is blasphemy. I love Tatsumi and that's final. Understood?" He nodded and bowed his head.

Run: "Yes, General. Forgive me, General." I lowered my weapon, and sat back down. "You're dismissed." Without wasting any time, he turned and left my room. 'How could he say that? Me in love with Y/n. That's outrages!' I thought in irritation.

The thought of Y/n and I as a couple would never happened. Even though I imagined us on top of the hill, surrounded by corpses of danger beast, and him proposing to me, it would never happen.

But the truth is, I tried to imagine Tatsumi doing that, but it always ended with Y/n in my mind. Now, my heart races when I think about what Najenda told me about him being in coma, and when we both fought each other.

'...you're in love with him?' The words of Run echoed inside my head, I felt my cheeks warming up, images of him smiling appeared in different scenarios, my heart beat was faster than usual... 'This can't be true.' I thought in irritation.

'...if you can't take the person out of your mind, and your heart beats is faster than usual when he is in thought, it means that you're in love with him...' Bols words echoed in my head when I asked him for advise the moment I met Tatsumi.

I shook my head, and casted all those thoughts aside. I'll never believe that I'm in love with that insolent and caring fool. I realized what I thought again, and shook my head again with ferocity. Then, I started feel dizzy. 'Now I feel dizzy.'

Mine P.o.v

I was in the girls tent, taking care of Akame's bandages on her leg and arm, and we were talking about the food that Tatsumi and Leone were suppose to bring here half an our ago.

We were up north, hiding between the mountains, and it was snowing. There were three tents. One for the girls, one for the boys, and the other was on top of the cliff, which where Y/n was.

After the fight, he arrived, helped us build the tents, explained what happened the day he was with Esdeath, and treated the men now and then, but he always stayed at the tent.

Lubbock on the other hand, he didn't tried to peep on the girls. He was with that Mez girl. Right now, he is sitting outside on the campfire, talking to her, and she was clingy to him. 'How the hell did that happened? And how can that girl be with a perverted jerk like him? What did she see in him?' So many questions lingered in our thoughts of to how, and we never got answers because we never asked.

Anyways, I've finished treating Akame's arm, and she fell face first on the floor and started to write Tatsumi's name.

I chuckled, and got outside of the tent. I saw Mez had her head on Lubbock's shoulder, and he had his head over hers. 'This lovey dovey thing is getting on my nerves. Hmph.' I started walking towards Y/n's tent and saw that he had a small fire lit up inside.

Once I got there, I took a deep breath, and opened the carpet. I saw him laying on the sleeping bag, playing with his necklace, and... sh-sh-shirtless!? He looked at me, and I felt my cheeks burning up. I went outside, and let go of the carpet.

Mine: "F-F-FORGIVE T-THE INTRUSION!!!" I was trembling out of embarrassement, and my face was all hot. I heard him sigh.

Y/n: "You can come in Mine." I took a few seconds, sighed, and entered his tent again.

He was sitting on his sleeping bag, still shirtless, showing off his rock hard abs which were being flexed and making it harder for me to not stare, and his eyes were a little dead and puffy. Dead as in it didn't showed the shine that it always had, and puffy that he seemed that he cried a few hours ago.

I took hold of the bottom of my coat, a little embarrassed of what happened a few minutes ago.

Y/n: "Need something?"

Mine: "I-I just came t-to check up on you, you know, because Akame, the boss, and the others were worried. N-Not that I cared though, t-they just asked me to do it."

He scoffed in amusement, then he took hold of his Yang necklace and caressed it. He let go of it, an dropped his hand to the floor for the support.

Y/n: "You can tell them that I'm fine. Doing exercise, meditation, and trying to get more experience with the fire, you know? Training myself. So, yeah."

Mine: *Liar.* I whispered. He looked at me surprised. "Why are you lying? You're clearly not fine."

Y/n: "Mine, I'm fine."

Mine: "You're not fine! You're eyes are puffy, you're not making fun of Lubbock having a new girlfriend, and you keep playing with that necklace of yours. Does this has to do with that girl? Seryu?" His body tensed, and his chest rose like taking a heavy breath. "Just talk and let me help."

Y/n: "I... I just wish that I was there. It was too late for Seryu. I wasn't there for her when she needed me. And... and, I can't stop thinking that her death was my fault. And-" He was on the verge of breaking down, so I hugged him as quick as possible. But the moment I did, he started to sob, and hugged me back.

Mine: "It's ok. It's not your fault." I tried to comfort him, but I was not good with this kind of things. Hugging him was on instincts, but it was still a little embarrassing.

Y/n: "If only I would've seen it sooner, things would've been different." I was confused of what he was talking about. "But, next time, I won't let it happen. I swear, I'll do my best of keeping all of you alive." He shivered and his body was cold.

An idea popped up in my mind, but my cheeks warmed up. I gave thought to it for a few seconds to the idea, but eventually made up my mind. I sighed, let go of him, unzipped my coat, and exposed my clothed body. CLOTHED BODY PERVERTS! He looked at me confused.

Mine: "Y-You're shivering like a c-cat out of the water, I'm j-just offering warmth since your shirtless!" Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around my waist inside the coat and burried his face on my chest. I wrapped the coat around his body and hugged him. "T-This doesn't mean anything, so d-don't get this over you head." I scoffed in amusement and shook his head, making me think that his copping a feel. "H-HEY, W-WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?"

Y/n: "Thank you." My eyes widened. "Despite your attitude, you really are nice. Also, I appreciate your concern towards me." He looked up at me, and my face warmed up in realization that our faces were inches away from each other. "Thank you, Mine." He smiled, making my heart flutter. I looked away while closing my eyes.

Mine: "It's the superiors job to look out for their apprentice, nothing more."

Y/n: "I know, but thank you." I took a small peak to him, saw him still smiling, then closed my eye again.

Mine: *Idiot.* I whispered.

Lubbock P.o.v

I was looking at the campfire, thinking about something that bothered me.

Mez: "Something in your mind, Lub?" She said, still having her head on my shoulder.

Lubbock: "Of course there is something. You and I in my bed."

Mez: "Pffft. Hahahahaha! Smooth Lub. Real smooth. But seriously, what were you thinking?" I sighed.

Lubbock: "There was something different about Y/n the other night. When he used his Imperial Arm, it felt weird."

Bulat: "And you're not wrong." I saw Bulat sitting on the opposite side of the campfire. "When he used it the first time, the aura and power felt like a discovered power. But when he used it in the fight, it felt powerful. Powerful, hateful, even."

Lubbock: "Do you think that during the month in coma has made him stronger?"

Bulat: "Not likely. He certainly has work his body, but he hasn't worked on his mind. The only thing that comes in mind, is the death of the girl he cared for."

Lubbock: "Seryu? But if that was the trigger for his power-up, then it would've happened the day she died."

Bulat: "Maybe, but everybody copes in their own way. But it still doesn't answer how he became this strong and fast." I nodded.

I felt a few light poking on my cheek, and I looked at Mez.

Mez: "Hey Lub, did you know that there's a fourth tent a few miles from here?" I was a little shocked because there were only three.

Lubbock: "What? Do you know who is camping there." She nodded and got closer to my ear.

Mez: *We better go there and find out ourselves.~ Don't you agree?~" She said seductively, and I felt a shiver running down my spine and a pleasureable tickle on my ear. 'Oh my.' I thought a little turned on.
