Esdeath P.o.v

The Prime Minister summoned me to the throne room in the middle of the night. I was going to take a shower, but one of the guards came and told me that it was important.

I was trudging towards the throne room, and I just want to sleep. It's the only thing that gives me peace. 'I hope it's worth my time.' I thought in irritation.

Once I reached the doors, the guards opened them for me, and I entered. There, at the bottom of the stairs. stood the Prime Minister and Zeth. 'Why is he here?' I asked myself.

Minister: "Ah, General. So glad you could join us."

Esdeath: "This better be worth my time." I stood with them. Zeth had a smirk on his face, and the Minister was proud.

Minister: "It is. Zeth, would you have the honor?"

Zeth: "Of course, Honest." I was confused. They were on first name basis. "See this?" He showed me a needle of sorts.

Esdeath: "What is it?"

Zeth: "It's a needle. Now, what's inside is the most important part of it. It was perfected by Dr. Stylish himself, before his death."

Esdeath: "Ok. What does the drug do?" He smirked.

Zeth: "It nullifies Blood-Type Imperial Arms." My eyes widened. I was shocked that there was such drug.

Esdeath: "So..."

Zeth: "That people like you and me can't use their Imperial Arm if this drug is injected into their system."

I never thought this could've been possible. A drug, that Dr. Stylish created can make the Imperial Arm stop working. But I want to know if this is real.

Esdeath: "How can I be sure that this is true?" His smirk grew more.

Zeth: "I tested them with some Blood-Type Imperial Arms users, and they tried to use them. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't use them. Honest was there to witness the whole thing." I looked at the Minister and he nodded.

Esdeath: "Well then, as long as we use it to our advantage, then we won't have a problem."

The Minister and Zeth exchanged glances and smirks. This made me raise an eyebrow.

Minister: "There's more." He offered me a folded paper.

I took it, and unfolded it. I got confused of why he gave me this. It was the wanted poster of Y/n, but it had an 'X' mark on his picture.

Esdeath: "What's the meaning of this!?" I was angered just by seeing his picture, specially with an 'X' on top of it.

Zeth: "We got him." I looked at him with wide eyes. Y/n, is here. In the Capital. I felt so much joy that equaled my anger. "We used the serum on him. He is weakened. But tomorrow, we will give him another one for the game."

Esdeath: "What game?" I tilted my head.

Zeth: "Y/n will participate in the arena tomorrow, and it will be his last fight as a normal person." My eyes widened once again.

Esdeath: "His last... fight?" He nodded.

Zeth: "To entertain the audience. He will fight againts formidable foes, along with my champion."

Minister: "It'll also demonstrate that Night Raid nor the Revolution can't stand against the Capital. He will be a perfect example."

Esdeath: "That means..."

Zeth: "That this fight will be a public execution."

Najenda P.o.v

Najenda: "They should be back by now." It was already midnight, and I was pacing back and forth in the living room, worried for Leone's and Y/n's return. The others were sitting down.

Akame: "I'll punish them for not finishing the mission on time."

Lubbock: "Calm down. They might be celebrating for finishing a mission."

Akame: "A mission completed is when you report to your superiors, Lubbock."

Tatsumi: "She's right, Lubbock. But we can't cast this fact aside, Akame." We looked at Tatsumi a little curious. "Y/n also like to finish his mission by reporting he finished the mission. He isn't the type to celebrate before hand."

We all stayed quiet after he said that. Y/n always reported back to me when he finished a mission. Now I'm more worried.

Suddenly, the alarm system of Lubbock's wire was triggered, but it was for a second. Then again. And then again.

Mez: "Is that normal?" Lubbock shook his head.

Lubbock: "No." He looked at me. "It's near the river." I nodded.

Najenda: "Ok. Bulat, Susano, you both will come with me. Akame, you will be in charge until I return."

Akame: "Understood." She nodded.

Najenda: "Lubbock, lead the way." He stood up and nodded.

Mez stood up, and gave him a peck on the cheek.

Mez: "Be careful." Lubbock nodded, went outside, and we followed.

Minutes later, we reached the river. We looked to both sides, but nothing.

Bulat: "There's nothing here."

Lubbock: "I can see that, but it's weird." He kept analyzing his wires. "It's suppose to be here." Then, the wire was triggered again. "IT'S THIS WAY!!!" He turned right, ran to that direction, and we followed behind, ready to fight anything.

But once we were getting closer, I saw a pair of legs coming out of the bushes. Once we arrived, there was Leone almost naked, but she had an arm dangling over Lubbock's wire.

Najenda: "Bulat, carry her! We're heading back!"

Bulat: "Of course!" He started to pick her up.

I looked around, searching for Y/n was anywhere around, but nothing. I looked back, but when my eyes landed on Leone, I realized that she was badly wounded. Cuts on her body, arms, legs, and face. 'She isn't healing?' I asked myself surprised.

Najenda: "LET'S GO!!!" I shouted while running towards HQ. When we arrived, I busted the door opened. Everyone in the room jumped in surprise, ready to fight us. "CLEAR THE TABLE!!!"

Without hesitation, Tatsumi and Lubbock cleared the table that had papers, maps, cups with water, etc... Bulat placed Leone on the table, and everyone had wide eyes.

Seeing Leone this badly damaged and not healing really surprised us. Leone breathing was weak and shaking, her eyes cringed, and her expression was a pained one.

Akame: "TATSUMI, GET THE MEDICAL HERBS THAT Y/N MADE!!! HURRY!!!" Tasumi ran towards the kitchen as fast as he could.

Mine: "Why isn't she healing!?" She was shocked and worried, but we all were like her.

Najenda: "I don't know!" Tatsumi arrived with the medical herbs, and gave it to Akame. Without thinking, Akame took some of it, and started to put it on her wounds. "Let me help." I took an amount of it, and started to put it on another wound.

We finished, and we saw that her wounds were healing. Not as quick when she usually does, but it's good.

Tatsumi: "Where's Y/n?" I looked at Tatsumi, but then at everyone which they were expecting for me to answer.

Najenda: "He wasn't anywhere to be seen."

Sheele: "Is he-"

Akame: "NO!!!" We all jumped. "Don't even say the word! He isn't, I just know it."

Bulat: "She didn't even say anything, Akame. Don't jump to conclusions that she was going to say something bad." Akame was shivering, feeling that she had lost someone precious to her. "Have faith."

He was right, we couldn't lose faith on what we can't see. Y/n is with us, I'm as sure as Akame, and everyone here in this room. Suddenly, there was a few knocks on the door, making us turn towards it.

I looked at Lubbock, wondering if the wires didn't triggered, but nothing. I looked back, and saw Susano heading for the door.

It was weird, if it was Y/n he would've entered by now. And if it was a stranger, then it would've triggered Lubbock's wires.

Susano reached for the door, and I readied myself for anything. Susano opened slightly and looked though the gap.

Susano: "May I help you?" I just stood there with a 'really' face.

???: "I-Is this the headquarters of Night Raid?" It was a feminine voice on the other side.

Susano: "Beg your pardon, but you got the wrong house." I looked at the others, and they were having the same reaction as me.

???: "Please, I must speak with General Najenda! It's important!"

Mine: "Open the door, Susano! I'll keep that one in check!" Susano looked at me, and I nodded.

Susano opened the door, and Mine was aiming Pumpkin at the woman who had a hood.

Najenda: "Speak, or I'll let Mine blow you to pieces. You have five seconds." I crossed my arms while glaring at and couting five second in my head.

She took off her hood, revealing her red but dirty hair, her face was red and dirty as well, and her green eyes were dull. I took a good look at her, and recognized her.

Najenda/Lubbock: "Kyoko!?" I turned to Lubbock and he was still looking at her with shock in his eyes.

Chelsea: "An old girlfriend of yours?"

Lubbock: "Not mine, but Y/n's." I looked at Kyoko and she was about to break down into tears. 'How many girls do you have, Y/n?' I asked myself.

Najenda: "Let her in." She looked at me with wide eyes, but once it landed on Leone, her eyes widened even more.

Kyoko: "Leone!? Is she alright!?" She walked towards Leone's unconscious body.

Najenda: "She's healing, but slow."

Mine: "May I ask who the heck is this!? She looks like Pyrrha Nikos, but less revealing!"

Najenda: "She is Kyoko, daughter of Yuuto. One of the leaders of the Revolution." Then, I realized something. I looked at her a little skeptical, which she saw me looking at her and shivered. "The mission that Leone and Y/n went."

Kyoko: "G-General. L-Let me explain-" I threw my metallic arm towards her, and gripped her throat.

Najenda: "I'm not one to kill without reason, but Leone injured, and Y/n missing gives me a lot of suspicions of to why you are here. Now, speak your reasons, and I may consider." I was never like this with no one. I'm always calmed, but the fact that the man I like isn't here, and she is, sent me on edge a little bit. Kyoko was struggling on my grip.

Kyoko: "We-We've been b-betrayed." She was gasping for air, I let her go, and my hand retracted. She dropped to the floor and was coughing for air.

Najenda: "By whom?" She looked at me.

Kyoko: "By my father. He was working for the Warchief." My eyes widened that one of our leaders was working for the enemy. "We were dragging an empty carriage, but when we arrived at a checkpoint, Leone and Y/n were injected with some sort of vaccine. Then, an explosion happened that led to Leone falling down a gap and into the river, but Y/n was taken by the Warchief."

Mine: "And you happened to be here by just coincidence!" Kyoko shook her head.

Kyoko: "I managed to escape my father's grasp, and jump after Leone to save her. Luckily, I found Lubbock's wire, and shook it for you to come for Leone."

Chelsea: "And you managed to follow them back here. How can we be sure that you didn't bring an army of the Empire to us?"

Kyoko: "Because Y/n is all I have in this life!" Her tears were falling down her cheeks. "Y/n knew what I wanted, my father's apporval. But he opened my eyes, and told me that those people I helped during my path, and himself were better than my father. That's why I came here. To help you save him."

She shocked me that she had those sort of feelings for him as well. 'Y/n, you really-'

Mine: "THAT PERVERT HAS A LOT OF GIRLS ON TOP OF HIM THIS DAYS!!! THAT WOMANIZER, LADIESMAN, PERVERT, JERK!!!" Mine interrupted me. She actually looked jealous.

Akame: "Kyoko, do you know anything else that we should know?" I looked back at Kyoko, and she was nodding slightly.

Kyoko: "I overheard the Warchief that he will speak with the Minister to make his public execution tomorrow."

Tatsumi: "Then that settles it!" He straightened himself with determination. "Tomorrow, we will head to the public execution and save Y/n!"

Lubbock: "I'm with Tatsumi! We must save Y/n!" Lubbock stood beside him.

Mine: "You know, it's stupid to save him without a plan!" She crossed her arms and looked away, but blushed. "But I'm in"

Sheele: "It's weird for you to say that because last time he was taken, you didn't want to save him." Mine started to stutter while looking at Sheele.

Bulat: "Y/n saved my life during one of our missions." We looked at Bulat and he was proud of what he was saying. "And I would be happy to return the favor." He took his spear and smashed it on the floor, ready for battle.

Mez: "Y/n gave me an opportunity to remake my life, and without him, I wouldn't have met the man I love now. I'll gladly repay my debt to him." She stood beside Lubbock.

Akame: "Y/n is my childhood friend. I would do anything to bring him back with us." She showed Murasame in front of her, like she always do when she declares a fight will happen.

Susano: "Y/n is a good person, he deserves to be saved." I was shocked that Susano saw him like that. They barely knew each other.

I felt a hug on my leg. I looked down, and saw Logue hugging it.

Logue: "Please, bring big brother back to us!" She had tears running down her cheeks. Then, Kije came for her and picked her up.

Kije: "My apologies, General. She was snooping and she overheard you." I nodded and told her it was fine. Bols was behind her.

Bols: "Please, bring Y/n back safely." He lightly pulled his wife and daughter, and went back to the kitchen.

Chelsea: "I really would want Y/n back. He is an essential person for this group." She said while standing beside Tatsumi and holding his hand.

I looked at Kyoko, she was holding her sword with determination in her eyes, and nodded. Then, I looked at everyone, and was proud to say that this was a great moment of our lives.

Najenda: "Very well. Tomorrow's mission is retrieve our precious comrade from a public execution! Show the people that we fight for the good of the people!" They showed determination in their eyes. "To show the Revolution the treason that has committed Yuuto and bring justice upon him!" Everyone prepared their weapons and clenched their fist. "And show the Capital, the Minister, that if you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!!!"

All: "YES!!!" Suddenly, Leone sat up and looked at all of us very confused.

Leone: "What did I missed!?"

Y/n P.o.v

I was shocked, surprised, loss of words even. The man touching my face, the one that was in front of me, is my father?

Father: "M-My son! Is it r-really you!" He was on the verge of breaking down.

Y/n: "F-Father?" He showed happiness. He held my arms firmly while his lips turned to a frown.

Father: "My son!" He held my cheeks. "My boy!" He lunged at me, giving me hug around my neck.

Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around his back and lowered my head on his shoulder while feeling the urge of crying. Nonetheless, tears fell down my cheeks.

We separated, and he kwpt using his hands, touching my cheeks, my shoulders, my arms. The bandage on his eyes really meant that he was blind, sending anger and sadness at the same time.

Father: "You're alive! Big!" He held my arms form. "And strong!" His expression turned into a confused one. "And in prison?" His head turned to me. "Why are you in prison?" I chuckled because it was almost the same reaction that I got from mother.

Y/n: "It's a long story." His grip on my arms tightened.

Father: "Then you better make it short or our reunion will be short lived." He threatened. 'Mother and Father were made for one another.' I thought in amusement.

Y/n: "Just, don't do anything to me and let me explain, or mother won't like it." His eyebrows went up, signalling his eyes would be widened. Before he could say anything, I started to explain.

I've told him what has happened all this years. My time in the Okimura's house, meeting Night Raid, joining them, my intense training, developing my Imperial Arm for the first time, meeting Esdeath, 'joining' her group, reuniting with mother, encountering with Zeth, my idea of redeeming The Jaegers, my loss of Seryu, and my time with other girls. Obviously, I didn't told him that I had sexual activity with two of them.

His expression were shocked, anger, relief, joy, sadness, and many more in one time. It took me like a few hours to tell him the whole story, and it felt like it was pass midnight.

Father: "So, all that happened in your life." He said in much sadness. "I am sorry for not being there when you needed me."

Y/n: "Father,..." I put my hand on his shoulder. "...it's not your fault."

Father: "As your father, and as a leader, I should've protected our village and known from the betrayal. And protected you and your mother."

Y/n: "You couldn't have known that your best friend was a traitorous person. There was nothing you could have done." I squeezed his shoulder a little. "Forget about it." His head raised.

Father: "Is your mother really?" He didn't finished because it was too much for him. I nodded.

Y/n: "She did. But it was forced. She couldn't do anything." His head lowered again. "She still loves you." I whispered.

Father: "I know she does. But it pains me to know that she had to withstand him for all this years. And to think that he has forgotten about her." I got confused.

Y/n: "Forgotten about her?" Father sighed in defeat.

Father: "Zeth and I always had a competition between each other, but our greatest challenge was to who could get the prettiest girl in the village. And there, was Kassanadra." I was a little intrigued to know more. 'I'm getting a family history.' I thought. "Kassandra was someone out of the ordinary. No woman could've taken away her traits as a person. A unique woman." He stopped for a few seconds. "To make it short, I won her heart, and he lost. But during the years, he met Aoimoku, and have forgotten about Kass, or that's what he told me."

Y/n: "So, what you're telling me, is that everything that has happened to us, is because of my mother's heart?" He shook his head.

Father: "No one knows what's inside his head, son. But what I know is that he's trying to eradicate us. The L/ns."

Suddenly, the sound of the cell opening was heard, and made me turn around. I saw a few guards looking around, until they met me.

Guard1: "You're coming with us." He demanded it.

Y/n: "Why?"

Guard1: "We were ordered to take you somewhere. Now, move it!"

Father: "Do as he says." I looked at him. "And don't do anything stupid." I was pulled away from him.

Y/n: "It runs in our blood. We can't avoid it." I saw that his lips turned to a smirk.

Chains were put on my wrists and ankles, and a bag was put on my head. I was carried to somewhere.

It's been minutes since I was taken from my cell, and I couldn't figure out where was I taken. What I know, is that the air changed into a pleasant one, the colors that was shown through the bag, was changed from dark brown, to a small shade of blue.

Then, a door knob was twisted and a door was opened. The guard got inside the room. I was put down on a chair, the chains on my wrist were on the arms of the chair, and my ankles were on the legs of the chair.

I heard the door close, and then nothing. I knew I was in a room, but I didn't know who it was.

Y/n: "You know what, Zeth? If this is a way to intimidate me or threaten me, it won't work!" I waited for an answer, but nothing.

Then, something went past over my head, and took off the bag. I looked forward, and saw the bag hanging on the wall with an arrow holding it. 'Well, that answered my question.' I thought.

I was going to turn around, but something was placed behind my head, making me stop. It felt sharp. Chill went down my spine, goosebumps all over my body, and a sense of guilt went over me.

Y/n: "If you think this will work, it won't. I'm not afraid-." I was going to say more, but the sharp object appeared on the side of my cheek.

I looked at it, a little scared. But the feeling turned into an odd feeling and realization. All this feelings was indicating one thing, and the rapier beside me just confirmed it.

I took a deep breath and sighed, but not of relief.

Y/n: "How may I help you with your necessities of the night,..." The person started to walk around me, until I had a good view of who it was. "...Esdeath?"

She revealed herself by stepping into the moonlight, in her uniform, without her hat, and with her rapier in hand while pointing it towards my neck.
