Y/n P.o.v

It has been three days. Three days since I've been taken by Night Raid from the Okimura Family. I would say that I was scared or mad that they took me, but I actually felt relieved and glad they did. Despite they gave me a home, care, and friendship, it still wasn't my place. I didn't belong there. 'I wonder if the maids and butlers got out?' I thought in concern.

The first day I woke up here, I was worried of where I was, but when I found out that I was at Night Raid's HQ, I got worse. A blonde hair girl came to me and told me to calm myself and that no one was going to hurt me, yet. She said 'yet' like it was going to be her that she'll hurt me. She had these sort of attitude towards me, it was obvious that she doesn't like me, but why? Besides that, I was a little calm, and the whole day was sort of... normal, if you can call it that.

Second day was almost the same, but I found Tatsumi sitting in front of two rocks with flowers. I was confused at first, but then I realized that those were tribute like to Ieyasu and Sayo. I gave him his space and respect from the distance. I wanted to look around, but the blonde girl stopped me from doing so. I asked for her name, but she didn't answer and walked away. 'I wonder why she is like that with me?' I asked myself.

Today, and rigth now, I was looking at Tatsumi from the tree beside him. He seemed like he was sitting there these whole time. I managed to get closer to him, and put my hand on his shoulder.

Y/n: "My condolences Tatsumi." I said with sincerelly.

Tatsumi: "Did you knew? Of the corruption in that house?" He said with anger rising.

Y/n: "Yes. I did." He slowly looked at me with anger.

Tatsumi: "And did you warned them?"

Y/n: "I did. The same way I warned you." He pushed away my arm and stood up. Now we were face to face.

Tatsumi: "Why didn't you tell them to run away!!!??? That THAT house was out of its mind!!! You could've saved their lives!!!"

Y/n: "As if I could. I told you, just like every other country person that got to that house, that not everything is what it seems. Yet you, your friends, and every other person kept being naive about being great about promotion and getting enlisted in the Imperial Army." He grabbed my shirt and pulled me towards him.

Tatsumi: "So you did this to save your skin from being tortured. You didn't tell us about it to keep living in that place you called home!" I pushed his arms away, and I was irritated.

Y/n: "Home! You think I called that place home!? It was hell for me! Yes I was their personal/favorite butler, but I never called that home. I was taken from my home, my family! I was there because of need, to live and survive. I tried to find a way to get out without warning the guards or the family, but if I did, they would torture the maids and butlers that helped me, almost raised me for eight years. I couldn't do that to them. You would do the same if you were in my position!" His eye went wide, knowing that I was right. "Besides, let it go, if you do you'll be better. Don't put the blame on me and let them rest." He got to his knees.

Tatsumi: "Then why? Why me? Why should've been me to be save and not them?" I kneeled beside him and put my hand on his shoulder again, trying to calm him down.

Y/n: "Things happen in life for a reason, for you being the only one alive from that house is a good thing, because you can tell other country people to never let their guard down in the Capital. This is your chance to make a difference." He looked at me with sadness yet determination. He nodded, but went towards the tribute to his friends. I stood up and looked at him. 'Seems like he doesn't trust me, but took the advice.' I thought.

I walked away to the tree again, and sat down. I started to think about what would I do from now on. Live my life like a normal person, but I don't want that. Knowing that I can do something about this world, but what?

???: "Hey you, you coming or what?" My thoughts were interrupted by the blonde girl.

Y/n: "Go to where?" She sighed and rolled her eyes. I noticed that she was holding Tatsumi with her arm around his neck.

Blonde Girl: "Just come alright, don't make me say it again or I'll leave you." She sarted walking away. 'Didn't she said that... nevermind.' I stood up and walked behind her. "Also, this place is a few miles northwest of the capital, just for your information Tatsumi." She said cheerful. Two things I had in mind that moment. One, she's giving too much information to some people she just met, and two, she is very cheerful and happy. Never have I seen that side of her. 'Probably because she doesn't like me, but still, why doens't she?' I asked myself.

We were inside their HQ, and the blonde girl was introducing us to a...

Y/n: "Wait, you're the girl that almost cut me in half with those GIANT scissors!!!" I pointed at her. She looked at me and gave me some sort of smile.

Purple Hair: "Oh, that's right. I'm sorry if I tried to kill you." She bowed her head towards me, and in the procces, hitting her head with the edge of the table. "Owowowowow."

I got closer to her and checked her forehead.

Y/n: "Hey, you ok?" I took away her hand from her forehead and checked. When she opened her eyes to meet mine, her face became all red and started stuttering.

Blonde Girl: "Hey!" I was grabbed from behind my shirt, was pulled away, and was lifted to the air. "What do you think you're doing to Sheele?" She's the one who lifted me. 'So that's her name.' I thought.

Y/n: "I'm just checking if she is ok."

Sheele: "I-I'm f-fine. T-T-Thank you f-for w-worrying." She had a tint of pink on her cheeks, and she lifted her book to keep reading. I managed to read a word, 'Airhead', but nothing more because I was dropped.

???: "HEY, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING LEONE!?" I turned around and saw a pink, twin tail hair girl with pink dress. She was adressing to the blonde girl. 'Finally, now I know her name.' I thought.

Leone: "Just showing these rookies our hideout and for them to join us."

Pink Girl: "Well, that one wrong thing to do! Also, I have to approve of this two." She turned to Tatsumi, then to me. Her eyes widened, and she pointed at me. "Y-Y-YOU'RE THE ONE THAT DODGED MY BULLETS!!!" I waved my hand.

Y/n: "Hi."

Sheele: "So you're the one who dodged Mine's bullets." She said in almost amazement, almost.

Mine: "I-I d-don't approve of either of you. Y-You both lack the skills to join us." She took a quick glance at me, which meant she was lying on her fact.

Tatsumi: "What did you say!?"

Leone: "Don't worry, this is Mine, and that's how she says hello." Mine scoffed and looked away.

We were outside, where the training place was. And still I was behind them, which I didn't mind.

Leone: "And that guy training right now, it's Bulat." I was looking at the big guy, which is Bulat, using a wooden staff, and his skills with it was impressive. Swinging here and there with such speed. He finished, and looked at our direction.

Bulat: "Leone, it's good to see you. Oh, if it's both of those kids the other day."

Tatsumi: "Wait, you know us?"

Y/n: "It's the guy in armor. I can recognize you from your skill of fighting."

Bulat: "Glad to see a man that can see through my skills of combat. Names Bulat." He reached to me and I shook it, then he went to Tatsumi.

Leone: "And yeah his gay." Tatsumi flinched.

Bulat: "Hey, don't give him the wrong idea. After all, nothing bad will happen, yet." Something shiny pass by from him. 'Not denying it either.' I thought.

We were behind some green dude looking over some bushes.

Green Guy: "It's time for Leone bath. Time to see those melons dancing in the air." A pervert, takes one to know one, but I'm no pervert, not like him.

Leone: "Then your finger will dance when it's broken." She grabbed his hand and twisted it, making him fall. "As you can see, this pervert, is Lubbock. Always trying to look at my bust." She twisted it a little more.

Lubbock: "A man can die happy by looking at those, right boys?" Leone looked at us.

Tatsumi: "I don't think that's a good idea."

Y/n: "Don't drag me into this." We both went against him. Eventually, she let him go.

Leone: "Lets go to our final stop." They started to walk away, and I got down to Lubbock's level.

Y/n: "Next time, try to change positions for the view, it will make her confuse and never memorize your location. Also, try to rub nature around your body, so you can mask your scent, just in case." I stood up and went to follow the others.

It was dawn and we were walking towards an Evil Bird, which was being cooked. I looked who was cooking it, and it was Akame, which I can recognize from afar. When we got closer, she turned around, and threw a piece of meat to Leone.

Akame: "Take it." She then aimed another piece of meat at Tatsumi. "Have you decided to join?"

Tatsumi: "No. I still haven't decided yet."

Akame: "Then sorry, you can't have a piece of my meat." She aimed the piece at me. "Have you decided to join?"

Y/n: "I'm considering to join." I heard Leone scoff, still I'm thinkig of Akame. She doesn't recognize me at all. 'What happened to her?' My question was interrupted by a piece of meat hitting my forehead. I managed to grab it, but it caught me off guard.

Akame: "Then you can have a piece of MY meat." She doesn't change her way with food.

???: "That's good to hear." We looked behind the Evil Bird, and there was a woman with white short hair, and a green, metalic right arm.

Leone: "Yo boss! When did you get back?"

Boss: "I just got here, but more importantly, the last mission. Is it true that the mission went over the time limit?" Her hand started to squeez making a strange sound, which made Leone run off.

I turned to Akame who as looking at the scene with a piece of meat on her mouth.

Y/n: "Hey Akame-"

Akame: "Keep quiet." I just shut my mouth. 'Guess she doesn't recognize me.' My attention was turned towards the others.

Leone: "Yep, my buddy here has potential."

Boss: "What about the other one." They both looked at me, but Leone's stare was sort of boring.

Leone: "I don't know about him, but the others claim that he dodged Sheele's scissors two time, dodged Mine's shots more than twice, and helped Bulat in the fight." The white hair or Boss' eye widened.

Boss: "So you said that you were considering joining us?" I nodded. She smiled, then stood up. "Leone gather everyone, I want to know everything about the last mission and this two boys."

============Timeskip============

We were in front of everybody that we've met. Everyone talked about the mission, including us. Meaning, that Tatsumi spoke of me living in that place.

Boss: "So you lived there?" I nodded. "Then why abandon them?"

Y/n: "They were already dead when I got out of my room. I just took my chance to run away, but it seems that I had a change of heart."

Tatsumi: "But weren't you engaged to Aria?" I looked at him.

Y/n: "I never was. She was the one bragging that I was going to be her future husband. I never agreed to that."

Tatsumi: "Yet you never denied it."

Y/n: "If I did, I would be dead."

Leone: "So, you were there for benefits?"

Y/n: "For need. I'll tell you the same thing I said to Tatsumi. I never called that place home. I was taken from my family, and was living in that place for eight years. The maids and butlers raised me, teach me everything I know, and I never left because they would've been tortured. Until you guys gave them that chance to escape, just like you guys gave me mine. But I took this chance to be part of something bigger."

Boss: "That means that you are certain you are going to join Night Raid."

Y/n: "I am." She nodded.

Boss: "What about you Tatsumi?"

Tatsumi: "It's like you guys do things in the name of justice, so I'm in." Everybody started laughing. I just chuckled. For the first time in a while, I managed to chuckled. It's not much, but it's something.

Y/n: "Tatsumi," He looked at me. "No matter how you call it, what they do, is still murder."

Bulat: "Glad you catch up Y/n. Because we know what we are risking. We are committing assassination."

Sheele: "And we also know what we do, will bring consequences. We are risking our lives, and we know that one day, we will die."

Leone: "All of us have our own reasons to join, and for what we fight for. And we use that as an inspiration to fight for the good of the Capital." Tatsumi looked at his hand, and then, he clenched hi hands and looked up with determination. He looked at me and threw his fist towards me, but never hit, but exetending it like a fist bump.

Tatsumi: "Then, I'll join, to fight for my village, and for the kids like me to never suffer the same fate as my friends." I smiled and hit his fist with mine.

Boss: "Then it's settled. Tatsumi and Y/n are now new members of Night Raid. Welcome to the path of carnage." Then, a wiring sound came to the room.

Lubbock: "Miss Najenda there's a breach."

Boss: "How many?"

Lubbock: "There are nine of them. And they have pass the borders and the creek."

Boss: "Then they must be very skilled to reached this far. Then go, take this enemy down and leave no witnesses!" They all had this look of murder intent which gave me chills. They all started to run. I stood there for a second, then started to run after them. I felt something behind my head, like a gust of wind, but shook it off.

I was running through the woods, and I found myself behind Lubbock.

Y/n: "Yo Lubbock." He kept running, but turned his head.

Lubbock: "Hey man. You decided to come with me."

Y/n: "You were the first one that I saw, so I came with you."

Lubbock: "Then lets go." We kept running for a few minutes in silence, until he broke it. "The advice you gave me, does it work?"

Y/n: "It worked with a danger beast when I was little, so it might help with the ladies too."

Lubbock: "Alright!" Then he looked at me with confusion. "Hey, where's your weapon?"

Y/n: "I don't have any. How about you?" He suddenly stopped which I followed.

Lubbock: "I have this." He extended both of his hands and showed me some glove with metallic type claws, and some type of green wire, barely visible. "This is my Imperial Arm, Infinite Uses: Cross Tail. From the body hair of a super-class dragon. I can use the wire in offense and defense, and use it to many more."

Y/n: "Even for personal uses?" I joked.

Lubbock: "What?"

Y/n: "Nothing. So that was the thing that made the alarm."

Lubbock: "Yes. There are wires all around the HQ, which is why the alarm was triggered."

Y/n: "Like a bug in a spiders's web."

Lubbock: "Precisely. Now, let me go check on a wire. It feels like it caught something light. You keep going, there's another guy to the direction we were going." He pointed at the direction we were heading.

Y/n: "Ok, see ya later." I started to run towards the direction he told me.

I kept running, until I came to a hill. If I hadn't stopped, I would've trip and rolled down. I looked around, but nothing and no one was around.

CAW CAW CAW

I looked up and saw a few crows flying over me. My eyes widened, and I lowered my body from a huge club. I took a step back, looked at the being in front of me, and tackled him down the hill. We started rolling down the hill, I gave him a few punches like he gave me some. When we were close to the botttom of the hill, I pushed him for a little distance, and gave him a side-kick on his face. I went a to the side, but I landed on my side, and went rolling again.

I landed at the bottom of the hill on my back and groaned of the little pain. I managed to stand up and looked at the being alsto standing. I took a good look at him, an he had this reptile feature in his face, which was disturbing, but his whole body was human.

Bandit: "You managed to dodge my club, impressive reflexes." He hit his club on his hand multiple times.

Y/n: "And I thought reptiles have their way with hand to hand combat. Now I know that you like grabbing big sticks for help." I took my battle stance. My right hand close to my right cheek, clenched in a fist, my left hand extending towards the bandit with the form of a claw, my left leg forward, and my right leg synchronized with my right arm.

Bandit: "I can smell death surrounding you, meaning that you're about to die." He did this tounge thing, but it went longer to his abdomen. I got grossed out with the thought of what he does with it.

Y/n: "Show me your scales, lizard." He charged at me, but I stood my ground. Waiting, waiting, until he went to attack me from the top. I dodged to the right, then went to hit him with my open left hand to his chest. He grabbed it with the tounge. 'Expected.' I spunned my arm to firmly grasp the tounge, took hold of it, pulled him, and punched him on the face multiple times. I pulled him one more time, then gave him with a right hook.

I let go of his tounge, and he took a few steps away from me. Then, he threw his tounge towards me and went around my neck, holding me. I felt the slimy tounge wrapping around my neck and the slobber went down my back and chest. It felt really disgusting. I reached as much as I could towards him, grabbed the tounge, pulled him down, and backflip kicked him under his chin.

He went flying, but I pulled his tounge over me, and threw him behind me, then again, and again, until his tounge came out of his mouth completely.

I looked at the tounge and dropped it. I started to walk towards the bandit, which was trying to crawl away from me.

Y/n: "Seems like you've lost your greatest weapon. Any last words?" I was standing over him, and grabbed him from his shirt.

Bandit: "Pweaf, I have famiwy. I'm pwyim po eam mowey fo phem." (Please, I have a family. I'm trying to earn money for them.) He managed to say without his tounge.

Y/n: "I'm sorry to hear that, but you should've done better than this." I drove my fist to his abdomen that made a cracking sound on his spine. He went to his knees holding his abdomen.

Bandit: "Wou wiw pay fo hif. Ha Gemewa'f Wawhief wiw bwim wouw heab." (You will pay for this. The General's Warchief will bring your head.)

Y/n: "I'll take my chances against the Warchief." I grabbed his head from behind and front, and twisted it, making it crack. I looked at his body lying there for a few seconds, then started to walk towards HQ.

============Timeskip============

Boss: "Good job Y/n. For your first mission, it was splendid. And for you Tatsumi, you did okay, but Akame's report gave me a lot to think. So, I'm partering you up with her." We were back at HQ and the Boss was telling us that we did good, but for Tatsumi, it was a little dissapointed for her. Now, he has to team up with Akame, and he didn't like the sound of that. "Is that ok with you Akame?"

Akame: "Mhm." She nodded.

Boss: "If he causes you trouble, don't hesitate to kill him."

Akame: "Got it." She still said with an emotionless yet funny face. 'I joined a crazy crew.' I thought.

Boss: "Best of luck not getting killed by a cute girl." Tatsumi was still trying to comprehend it, but walked away.

I looked at the boss and asked: "What would you have me do?"

Boss: "You will be teaming up with Leone. Tomorrow morning you two will go north from here to search some ruins for an Imperial Arm. This will be your first official mission, just a Search and Retreive mission. Got that Leone!?"

Leone: "OKAY!!!~" She said kind of drunk.

Y/n: "Boss, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to Akame in her childhood?"

Boss: "Why asking?"

Y/n: "Just curiousity." She sighed.

Boss: "She was sold to the Imperial Army to make her a weapon. They managed to do it, but in the end, she came with me. That's all I'm telling you."

Y/n: "Did they brainwashed her? To the point where she can't remember her own childhood?" She looked at me with suspicion.

Boss: "Most likely. Why so many questions about her?"

Y/n: "I'll tell you some other time. Just give me time." She nodded and went to the party. I looked at Akame and she was eating her food with most concentration. 'What happened to you?' I thought. Then, Bulat came to me.

Bulat: "Hey buddy, come with me you're missing quite the party." Then Lubbock came to my other side.

Lubbock: "Come on man, lets have some fun." They started to pull me towards the party and I couldn't help but smile. 'I joined a crazy crew indeed.'
