Y/n P.o.v

Tatsumi, Mine, and I were walking on the streets of the market place. We were heading toward a book store which was called 'Booknight'. It was sort of ironic that we call ourselves 'Night Raid', yet they didn't catch that this book store was a hideout. Maybe it was a coincidence.

Anyways, we've reached the book store, and on the entrance was Lubbock with the store's uniform.

Tatsumi: "Yo." Me and Tatsumi waved while Mine just walked past us.

Lubbock: "Come on in." We followed him inside, and Mine opened a compartment on the floor. We all followed her and there was Leone laid back on a sofa.

Leone: "Yellooooo!!! Welcome to our Capital hideout!!!"

Tatsumi: "You're getting way to comfortable!!!"

Mine: "It's a our hideout, so we can do anything we want." Leone's eyes became seductive while giving a smirk.

Leone: "Oh, anything?~" Leone stood up and went behind me. Suddenly, she put her hands inside my shirt and started to feel every inch of my body. I pushed her hands and jumped away from her with my face burning.

Y/n: "W-What the hell are you doing!?" The sensation of her hands runnig on my torso kept on coming and it sent shivers.

Leone: "Just feeling of what to expect for our night.~"

Mine: "What night?"

Leone: "A deal that Y/n and I made, but it's a secret." She put a finger on her mouth and winked.

Lubbock: "Speaking of secrets," He turned to me. "...why didn't you told us that you were a L/n?" Everyone turned their head towards me.

Y/n: "Truth to be told, I never knew that my family were very important people. Although, I never used it that much."

Lubbock: "But you knew who you were, right?"

Y/n: "Not until the Boss told me that she needed to find the last descendant. I asked her why the descendant was important, and she told me that I carried an Imperial Arm that I didn't know how to use and my families weapon could help finding him, but I revealed myself and I told her to keep it a secret until I told you guys about it." I sat on the couch, Leone sat next to me, and the other three sat on the other couch.

Mine: "Why keep it a secret from us then?"

Y/n: "I wanted to become reliable with my Imperial Arm, and help out better than how I started. But things doesn't go the way we want."

Tatsumi: "True, but you finally know how to use it." I nodded.

The day that we had a little exercise, I started to train with my Imperial Arm. Days passed and I was progressing. The teleporting thing, was that I turned into crows and flew around, my physical strength was almost like fighting Leone in her lion form, almost. I couldn't create the fire nor the creature that was like the grim reaper.

Tatsumi told me that I yelled Harvestlion, and I became the grim reaper as well. I screamed its name, I even shouted with everything I got, but nada.

My thoughts were interrupted when my face was burried between Leone's breasts. My eyes widened and I started to push her away, but her grip was strong.

Leone: "Stop fighting if you know you want it.~" I felt my face burn and kept fighting more.

Lubbock: "Oh, I almost forgot!" I looked over Leone's breast, and saw him taking out a flier. "I heard that there will be a civilian battle tournament. It will be hosted by Esdeath herself. The winner gets a reward, meaning that you can get more money to send to your village Tatsumi." He handed the flier to Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: "So, the bigger the opponent, the bigger the slum?" Lubbock nodded.

Mine: "Are you serious that you forgot the fact that it is hosted by Esdeath? Don't you think it's a trap?"

Lubbock: "I mean, it's a civilian battle, I don't think she is aiming on attracting us to get her."

Tatsumi: "How is Esdeath by the way? I mean, are all the stories and rumors of her are true."

Y/n: "Mmm mmmm." Leone let go of me and I could finally breath. "They are."

Mine: "How do you know?"

Y/n: "Esdeath was the one who led her men to attack my village, and the ones who stabbed my mother were three of the Four Beasts. So, that's how I know." Then, I remembered what Aoimoku said to me. There might be a chance that my mother could be alive. "Anyways, is there a chance that I can tag along in the fight?" I asked avoiding their pity.

Lubbock: "You can. You even can be Tatsumi's partner to defeat a larger foe."

Y/n: "Good. Maybe we can both earn a bigger slum than others." Tatsumi nodded.

============Timeskip============

Both Tatsumi and I were waiting for us go next, but there was a person before us.

Guard: "Next!" The guard yelled from the door. 'Guess that after this one, we go next.' I thought.

Then, I recognized the person that was going to the door. Long red hair, green eyes, and those breast that aren't as big as Leone's.

Y/n: "Kyoko?" She stopped and looked at me. Her determined and fierced eyes, became wide and sparkled. Her outfit was not a maid one, but it was a simple combat suit.

Kyoko: "Y/n!" She ran to me and hugged me tight. "How are you, and why haven't you come back to the bar?" She made a pout.

Y/n: "Sorry, I had a lot of stuff to do and I didn't have time. Putting that aside, why are you here? I didn't saw you as a fighter."

Kyoko: "Well, looks deceive love. Just like you. You don't look like a fighter either." I tilted my head a few times.

Y/n: "True."

Guard: "NEXT!!!" We turned to the guard.

Kyoko: "Sorry, got to go. Date after this. In the bar, be there." She told me like an order, kissed my cheek, and ran towards the door to the arena. I put my hand on my cheek and I felt a hand on my shoulder.

Tatsumi: "Girlfriend of yours?"

Y/n: "She's just a friend."

Tatsumi: "Friends with benefits then?" I looked at him with a 'really' face. He shrugged. "Hey, just saying." We walked toward the door and stood there, looking at Kyoko with whom she was going to fight. It was a minotaur that she was going to fight.

Wave: "Now, on the east corner, we have Kalbi The Butcher! And on the west corner, we have Kyoko The Maid!" I raised an eyebrow of why using her jobs' name.

Kalbi: "Ho ho, you are a cutie, maybe I'll go easy on you so you and I can have some real fun outside." I forgot to mention, that my hearing increased as well. Seems like my Imperial Arm increases some stuff in my body. Meaning, I heard him like he was right beside me, but the others heard him as well because they started throwing dibs on her.

After I heard that, I clenched my fist without even trying.

Kyoko: "Sorry, but you reek of bull a lot. Also, I have a boyfriend, and he is way better than any men in this place." Her eyes turned towards me, then at Kalbi. My eyes widened and my face heated up. 'I thought I said that we are friends.' I thought.

Stadium men including Lubbock: "REJECTED ALREADY!!!" I shook my head and sighed.

Wave: "BEGIN!"

Kalbi charged at her, but she jumped over him, grabbed both of his small horns, pulled his head, and kneed him behind his head braking both of his small horns. Kalbi stumbled and turned to her with full rage, but Kyoko was under him sending a kick to where all men cringe and fall to their knees. Kalbi was lost of breath and held his loins while rolling around the arena. The stadium was full of 'ooh', even I held my loins from the sight. The thing is, she sent a terrible yet powerful blow. Kalbi was standing up, and Kyoko ran toward him, and kneed him on his snout. Kalbi laid there unconscious.

Wave: "T-That's enough! AHEM! The winner of this match is Kyoko!!!" Every one cheered for her, and she waved and smiled at everyone. She started to head towards us and stopped in front of me.

Y/n: "Looks deceive indeed. Besides that, you did great." I complimented her.

Kyoko: "Thank you love. Good luck with your match." I nodded.

Guards: "Go." Me and Tatsumi nodded and started to head to the arena, but Kyoko pulled me and got to my ear.

Kyoko: *Good luck love and don't forget about our date.* She whispered, then she kissed my cheek once again. She let me go and walked inside, while I was walking to where Tatsumi was with my face all heated up.

Tatsumi: "Let me guess, she kissed you again?" I nodded. "Lucky bastard."

Y/n: "Then why don't you give it a try with Mine then, and see that she'll be kissing you once in a while." He was going to protest, but Wave interrupted him.

Wave: "Alright, to the east corner, we have Perius The Crusher!" Our foe was four times bigger than us. He was a Cyclops. 'I thougth Cyclops were bigger.' I thought. "And on the west corner, we have Tatsumi The Blacksmith and Y/n The Farmer!" Tatsumi cracked his neck while I cracked my knuckles. "Now, why two against one? Because Perius has fought ten men at the same time with no effort, and had remain victorious."

Tatsumi: "We can handle it." He said with determination.

Y/n: "Yes we can." I analized Perius, and his only weakness is his eye. We have to blind him. "Stall him, and I'll be right behind you. Finishing blow must be together." He nodded, understanding my plan.

Wave: "BEGIN!!!"

Tatsumi went straight ahead, I waited, and started to count to five in my head.

'One.' Tatsumi dodged Perius' slam to the side.

'Two.' Tatsumi climbed his arm and kneed him on the side of Perius' face, and he landed beside him.

'Three.' Perius looked at Tatsumi full of hatred. He went to stomp Tatsumi, but Tatsumi dodged it, went behind him and kicked behind his other knee.

'Four.' I readied myself to run towards him. Perius fell on his knees, and Tatsumi elbowed above his head.

'FIVE!' I ran toward Perius who was feeling his head. I jumped toward his face, and once he looked at me, I drove my fist to his eye, making him stand up and stumble back.

I landed on the floor and Tatsumi was beside me. I nodded towards him, and he did the same. Both of us ran towards him, we jumped over him, we both lifted our legs and dropkicked him on his head with full strength.

After we landed, we leaped back, and looked at Perius, who was swaying side to side, then he fell backwards. A loud thud was heard when he fell that made the ground shake a bit.

The stadium went incredibly silent and shock was plastered on everyone's faces.

Wave: "That's Enough! The winner is Tatsumi and Y/n!!!" People started to cheer or roar at our victory.

Tatsumi started to look around in surprise, then turned to me with a huge smile.

Tatsumi: "We did it Y/n! We won!" He showed me his fist, I fist bumped it and nodded.

Y/n: "Yes we did my friend." Then, silence came from the crowd, and the only thing heard were footsteps. We turned to the source and saw Esdeath entering the ring.

I was shocked to say the least, but putting the pieces together, we just defeated the champion of the arena, and it might've impressed her that she would do the honor to give us the reward.

She finally stood in front of us with her hand on her hip.

Esdeath: "Your name is Tatsumi, correct?" He nodded, and it seemed like she was ignoring me. Speaking of which, her eyes were so focused on him that she had a tint of pink on her cheeks. "Your match was very impressive, including your teamwork." She finally looked at me, but she gave me a cold stare. "Here's your reward..." She threw me a bag of coins, which it seemed like a good amount. "...and yours." She got closer to Tatsumi and put a collar on his neck. 'Hold up.' I thought while looking at the collar again. "You belong to me, and me alone. Understand that?" Tatsumi was too shocked that he didn't answer. "I'll take that as a yes." She started to pull Tatsumi, and he was trying to go against her.

Tatsumi: "W-Wait a second, you can't just-" She pulled him harder and hit behind his neck which got him unconscious. 'That's it.' I thought.

Y/n: "Hold up! You can't just take him!!!" She turned to me with the biggest, evil glare that anyone has given me, but that didn't changed my actions.

Esdeath: "Stay back." With her foot, she sent a wall of ice towards me, and I tried to hold it with both hands, but it was pushing me back.

I pulled my fist, purple fire surrounded my fist, and I punched the wall. Once it made contact, it cracked. The stadium was still silent. Looking through the ice, I saw Esdeath still standing there, looking at the wall.

I pulled my other arm, and punched it again with fire. It cracked even more. I punched it two more times, and it cracked to the top of the wall. 'One more punch.' I thougth with determination. I pulled my arm once more, with fire on my arm, which made my hand and arm barely visible. I threw the punch, and the wall bursted to pieces. (Detoroito Samasha!!!! No, anyone. Ok goodbye.)

I looked at Esdeath, and her face was full of shock.

Y/n: "Let. Go. Of. Tatsumi!" I was panting, and tired. Her shock turned to a sadistic smile.

Esdeath: "Is that all??? What a waste." She raised her free hand towards me and sent me a pointy end ice spear. I was so tired that I wasn't going to dodge, but then, when it was closer to me, someone came from above and destroyed her ice attack from the middle.

The person stood up staright and it had an orange ponytail.

Seryu: "Don't hurt him! If you want to, you will have to go through me!" Seryu took a fighting stance, as well as Koro on her side. I was shocked to see her going against Esdeath like this, especially to protect me.

Esdeath: "You dare to intervene? Do you even know this boy?" She nodded.

Seryu: "I do. And he is precious to me. If you take him away from this world, you will have to find a replacement in your group." Seryu warned. 'She is crazy to stand up to Esdeath like that.' I thought. Esdeath took a deep breath, then sighed silently.

Esdeath: "Then bring him, but if he does something to run away, and help Tatsumi escape, he'll pay, greatly." Esdeath sent me another glare, then turned around with Tatsumi on her shoulder.

I was about to fall, but someone held me on my feet. I looked to my left and saw Seryu with a smile.

Seryu: "Long time no see. Missed me?"

Y/n: "A little." I put my thumb and index finger barely touching. Her smile became a pout. Then, I felt my pants being tugged. I looked down and saw Koro hugging my leg. Then, he climbed to the top of my head.

Seryu: "Well, for your information, me and Koro missed you, a LOT." I patted Koro's head, and looked at Seryu.

Y/n: "Noticed." She started to walk me towards where Esdeath went, which she was almost getting to the top of the stairs. I looked at where Leone and Lubbock were, and they had worried and shocked faces. 'This is going to go great.' I said sarcastically in my head.

============Timeskip============

I was sitting on a chair while holding an ice bag on my forehead. I looked to my right and saw Tatsumi glaring at Esdeath.

We were surrounded by seven people. Wave, Seryu, Esdeath, a guy in a mask, a scientist which he winked at me when he saw me, a blonde guy who has a book, and Kurome. I saw Kurome and I almost jumped on her with a hug, but I was still too tired. She didn't even looked at me once, but ok.

Anyways, Esdeath was introducing Tatsumi as a new member and new lover.

Wave: "Then why does he have a collar?" Esdeath shrugged.

Blonde guy: "If you want a lover and not a pet, the you should take it off." Esdeath gave thought to it, then took off the collar. "Speaking of new members, Y/n was it?" I nodded. "I'm Run, it is nice to meet you. I saw your performance on the arena, it was admirable."

Y/n: "Thanks Run."

Bols: "My name is Bols, and what I heard from this three, your courage to save your friend and stand up like that is something you don't see this days."

Y/n: "Nice meeting you, and thank you for the compliment."

Dr. Stylish: "Dr. Stylish, at your service, and I'll polish you as well with everything I got handsome." He winked at me again. I gave a nervous smile.

Then, I was hugged on my arm. I looked to my side and it was Kurome. Seryu quickly grabbed her from behind and pulled her, but Kurome held on me.

Seryu: "What are you doing Kurome!?"

Kurome: "He seemed familiar and I wanted to hug him. So that's what I'm doing." She said with a monotone expression.

Wave: "Dude! Five minutes and now you have girls on you! What the heck!?" I shrugged.

Y/n: "Just my luck, I guess."

Esdeath: "AHEM!" We turned to her and she had a glare on me again. 'I haven't done anything to you, yet.' I thought. "To important matters. Does any of you have experience in love?" I looked at her with a really face. Bols raised his hand.

Bols: "I am married. We've been married for six years." He got flustered. "She's such a kind person, I REALLY don't deserve her."

Esdeath: "That's good to know, I might need your advices." Then, the doors opened and a soldiers came in.

Soldier: "General Esdeath, we've completed our investigation of the area surrounding Lake Gyogan as you ordered!"

Esdeath: "Perfect timing. Everyone, here you have your first assignment."

She explained to us about the bandits in a stronghold, and that we needed to exterminate them. Seryu and Esdeath had this weird conversation about killing them without mercy, everyone said some determined stuff, and stylish was trying to make Esdeath look like a goddess from his point of view.

Esdeath: "And you." She turned to me while pointing at me. "Will acompany them. To prove your worth." I looked at her with a serious expression.

Y/n: "I believe I've showed my worth on the arena. Or have you gotten a brainfreeze that made you forget?" Everyone was quiet and shocked. Esdeath glared at me.

Esdeath: "Your insolence and disrespect will be your death. I'll have to punish you for you to behave." I glared back.

Y/n: "I'm no animal for you to train."

Esdeath: "Then prove your respect and loyalty to me!"

Y/n: "Show me the respect I've earned to defend the dignity of my best friend, that which you have taken it from him!" She drew her rapier and pointed it at my neck, which made me raised my chin.

Esdeath: "The only reason that I don't kill you right here and now, is because Seryu is happy being around you, and Kurome seems to like you for some reason. And if it wasn't for Seryu to intervened in the arena, you would be dead right now." I showed no fear in my eyes, only hatred and anger.

Y/n: "That's a disappointment. I heard so much about you being merciless and cruel, and the only thing I see is a softy general." I taunted. Her eyes were filled with hatred. She raised her rapier a little more, then lowered it.

Esdeath: "I'll deal with you later. For now, you and your comrades have a mission to attend to. Don't disappoint me." She turned around to the door and started to walk.

Tatsumi: 'What the hell man!?' He whispered to me. I just kept my glare to Esdeath's back, holding myself from running after her and killing her.
