All Night Raid was gathered in the main room. For the boss to gather everyone meant that we had an important task.

Boss: "Our next target is the murderer from the rumors. He comes out at random nights and beheads his victims." The boss was very serious, even though she always was.

Y/n: "So that means that we're dealing with a professional killer."

Lubbock: "He sort of is, but I got a feeling that it's 'Executioner Zanku'." My eyes widened at the name.

Tatsumi: "Umm, excuse me, but who is he?" He sounded confuse which made Mine talk.

Mine: "You don't know? You really are from the Boondocks." She made fun of him.

Sheele: "I don't know who he is either." She pointed to the air. 'She really is cute and funny.

Y/n: "Executioner Zanku. He once worked at the largest prison in the kingdom."

Lubbock: "And as his title implies, he WAS the executioner. The worst part of it, is that the Minister had a lot of people to behead."

Mine: "Day after day, and night after night, he beheaded everyone in the prison. For years, he has beheaded people, pleading for mercy, but those were ignored because it became Zanku's habit."  We three informed him, and Tatsumi was surprised.

Tatsumi: "Geez, I wouldn't blame him for that."

Bulat: "Despite his job in the prison, it wasn't enough for him, so he took it to the whole world. But as soon the Subjugation Corps was organized, he disappeared. Now I'm surprise that he'd showed up in the Capital." Bulat said with shock and anger in his voice. Then, Tatsumi became determined and clenched his fist.

Tatsumi: "So this guy is a very dangerous, so let's find him and put him down!" Bulat got closer to him, and put a hand on his head.

Bulat: "Pull the reigns and stop the horses Tatsumi. Zanku has stolen an Imperial Arm that belonged to the head of the prison. Meaning he will be difficult to defeat while he's using it." Then, Bulat put his hand under his chin and lifted Tatsumi's head, while some flowers and stars radiated from Bulat. "So it would be wise to act in groups of two or you would be in danger."

'Too much love and lewd coming from Bulat. Glad that I'm not Tatsumi.' I thought with relief.

============Timeskip============

I was assigned with Lubbock to search the east side of the most common place where Zanku had killed.

We were on the rooftop, searching for Zanku. I had the hilt in hand for just in case.

Lubbock: "Think Zanku might appear tonight?" He asked behind me.

CAW!!!

I turned to my left where I saw a crow staring at me, which gave me the hunch that something or someone would die. It's no coincidence that everytime a crow caws, and is looking at me, means something will happen. I figured that out after analyzing everything that has happened in the past after killing the Minister's distant relative.

I smirked, nodded my head two times, and said: "I have this feeling that he will appear." I turned my attention to the gap in front of me, so I jumped to the other building's roof. "Question, has the advice about watching Leone's bath hours worked?"

I turned to Lubbock, and he was looking down with his hair covering his eyes. Then, he lifted his head with a tears running down from his eyes, with a smile of gratitude.

Lubbock: "It's a work of art." I smirked and nodded. "I've seen Leone's rack, Akame's, Sheele's, and Miss Najenda's as well. I can't thank you enough, bro!" He hugged me while sobbing. I chuckled and shook my head. Then, two question appeared in my head.

Y/n: "Wait a minute. What about Mine's?" He scoffed and was disappointed.

Lubbock: "Mine doesn't have a rack. What she has is a washboard, but I still looked at them. I don't care about the size, but of the view. It's recorded in my mind." He fisted the air, and I smirked.

Y/n: "Spoken like a true pervert." I muttered. "Also, why do you call the boss Miss Najenda? Is that her real name?" He nodded.

Lubbock: "I once worked with her in the Capital's army. The moment I saw her, I knew that I would follow her anywhere. No matter the decision she took." He said in complete admiration, determination, and pride.

Y/n: "Sounds like love at first sight. Speaking of which, have you ever confessed to her?" His face became red.

Lubbock: "I-I d-don't think sh-she'll see me that way." He scratched the back of his head while stuttering. I shook my head.

Y/n: "Just do it. No matter what happens, if you don't try it, how would you know?" Lubbock was hesitant at first, but became determined.

Lubbock: "You're right, if I don't do it soon, I might never get another chance." He clenched his fist in front of him.

Y/n: "Chances are taken Lubbock, not given. But don't go 'I like you Najenda.' thing. Take it slow, even if you were beside her all this time. I have a hunch that you never got to her emotion side." He didn't answer, and I sighed. "Instead of asking her about which assignment or job stuff, ask her of how she is feeling, how was her day, and if she needs food. But please, not all at once. Take it slow." I informed him. He just chuckled.

Lubbock: "Says the man that doesn't have a girlfriend." He made fun of me. Then, his smirk became a warm smile. "But it's a start. Thanks man." He showed me a fist, and I returned the gesture.

Y/n: "Us perverts got to stick together." I blurted out, which made Lubbock eyes wide.

Lubbock: "You!!!??? A PERVERT!!!???"

Y/n: "I would say a 'discreet' pervert. Why do you think I've helped you with the peeping stuff?" He started to rambled about me being a pervert, but wasn't paying attention because it was taken by something else.

CAW CAW CAW CAW

The crow that was following me was flapping it's wings and cawing agitated. "Something is wrong." I stated. I looked at Lubbock, and he was looking at the crow with an eyebrow raised. I looked back at the crow and he flew over me. I looked behind me and saw he was heading west.

Lubbock: "Y/n, what's wrong? You're confusing me." I ignored his question. I was asking myself why the crow flew to that direction, then it came to me. 'Akame!' I thought becasue Akame and Tatsumi was on the west side.

Y/n: "Stay in this area. I'll take a look at the direction the crow went." After I said that, I leaped over the streets and ran towards the direction where the crow went. Where Akame and Tatsumi were. Hoping they were safe.

Akame P.o.v

I was currently slashing and blocking Zanku with speed and strength. From what I've gathered, his Imperial Arm is the eye ball on his forehead. It sees your moves, your thoughts, and even x-rays visions. I'd say we're even in battle.

We separated and we were in a battle stance. I took a deep breath, and cleared my mind.

Zanku: "My, you've cleared your mind. Magnificent! But for your information, this little friend has foresight! Through the sublteties of your muscles I can see your NEXT MOVE!!!" I went to slash him over his head, but he blocked it, and slashed down with full force. In the process, he cut me on my thigh. "Oh my, that blade won't let me get away with a single scratch. It's unfair."

Akame: "You can read my mind and movements. I say it's even between us." He pointed at me with his blade.

Zanku: "Tell me Akame, how do you deal with the voices?"

Akame: "Voices?" I was confused.

Zanku: "Don't play dumb, you can hear them when it's quiet. The cries and moans of those who've been killed rising up from hell. THEY HATE ME AND ASK ME TO JOIN THEM IN HELL!!!" I was quiet, knowing that Zanku has a lose screw. "I've started to hear them when I was at the prison beheading those people. They've been a needle in my ass lately, and I've been drowning them out by talking over them. So I was curious of how-"

Akame: "I don't hear them." I interrupted Zanku, and he was shocked. "For me, I don't hear those voices."

Zanku: "Huh? But, I thought that someone that has killed as many peeople as you, would share the same curse as me." He smirked. "HOW SAD!!!"

Then, the scenery changed. I was looking at my little sister Kurome. My eyes were wide, and I was stiff. I heard voices in the background, but couldn't understand or make out what were they. Kurome began to walk toward me, with her blade prepared. Once she was close, she readied her blade to slash me, but I slashed before she could kill me. I didn't hit flesh, but blades. My vision came back to normal.

Zanku: "How could this be possible!? You slashed without hesitation!!! You were supposed to see someone you love!!!" I turned my body and attention to Zanku that was behind me.

Akame: "It's because my love is so great, that I want to give her eternal rest." Zanku was shocked, but then smirked. I was confused.

Zanku: "Then I guess you don't mind me giving you the other eternal rest!!!" The scene changed again, and I readied my blade in front of me. 'Odd. I don't have someone else I love.' I thought, but once I saw the person in front of me, my body became more stiff than before, and I couldn't move to kill the being in front of me.

It was a small boy, with h/c hair, and e/c eyes. I've never seen this boy, yet I feel like I know him from somewhere. But the important questions I had was: 'Why does he looks so familiar?!' I asked myself irritated.

???: "Akame?" I was trembling now. He called my name like he knew me from ages ago. "Akame, don't you remember? Would you kill your best friend." He started to walk towards me, and I was hesitating. 'The best friends I had were when I was training with Kurome.' I stated in my mind, remembering the others, but this boy is different. I began to lose my grip on Murasame. "Akame..." He was closer, I just felt the urge of hugging him. He was in front of me with arms open wide for a hug. "Akame. Akame. A-"

AKAMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I felt my body been pushed away, and I let go of Murasame. The view from the kid's sad face was switching to an anger face, back and forth, like the face was the same one. Perfect synchronization. 'Y/n?' I asked myself.

Once my vision turned back to normal, I saw Y/n punching Zanku's face away from me.

Y/n P.o.v

I followed the crow to an opened area. I saw Akame standing still, while Zanku was getting closer to her, ready to slash her. I ran towards them with full speed while screaming her name: "AKAMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" I pushed Akame away while punching Zanku's face. He went flying a few feet way, until he regained his balance.

I took a battle stance with a double sided blade staff. "So, you're executioner Zanku. I expected more."

Zanku: "How dare you interrupt my execution!!!???" He was extremly mad, but I noticed that his blades were cracked.

Y/n: "Because it is not your day to execute anyone. Today is YOUR execution!!!" Zanku smirked.

Zanku: "I don't think so!!! TAKE THIS!!!" The eye in his forehead glowed, but I was looking to my sides confused, and turned back to him. He became full shocked. "H-HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE!!!??? THIS IS SUPPOSE TO WORK ON EVERYONE!!!!"

Y/n: "I don't know what you're talking about, but I know this. You're going to die for the innocent people you've beheaded!!!" He readied my weapon and charged at him.

Zanku roared in irritation, and came with full strength from the top. I slashed upward for our blades to meet. Once they did, Zanku's blades broke, I spun around and stabbed him between his chest and abdomen. I looked at his face, and he was shocked. His body started to fall backwards, and I stood there, the same position I was.

His body hit the floor with a normal thud, I regained my posture and walked beside him. I raised my blade and stabbed him in the middle of his chest, an inch away from his heart. He gasped for air, and layed back again.

Zanku: "W-What is your name, boy?" I got confused, but answered firmly.

Y/n: "My name is Y/n." He smirked.

Zanku: "Thank you, Y/n. I don't hear the voices anymore. Thank you." He said those last words with a final breath, and the three eyes closed. I sighed, made the blade turn back to a hilt and put it on my hip, kneeled down to the eye, grabbed it, and examined it in my palm.

I clenched my fist, and turned to the other two, which Tatsumi was injured, and Akame was sitting there with wide eyes on me. I went towards her and she took her sword, and aimed it at me. I flinched and raised my hands.

Y/n: "H-HEY! AKAME, IT'S ME." I said to calm her. She was shaking while her eyes were glaring at me.

Akame: "Who are you?" I tilted my head.

Y/n: "It's me, Y/n." She shook her head furiously.

Akame: "I know you're name. The question that I'm asking is: why did YOU appeared when Zanku used his Imperial Arm on me?" I was very confused.

Y/n: "Listen Akame, I don't know what you're talking about, but we ne-"

Akame: "YOU APPEARED AS A PERSON THAT I LOVE THE MOST!!! There was a little boy who had your hair color, your eyes, everything!!! Once you punched him, your face with the boy's were going back and forth, and it had the same features. So tell me, WHY WERE YOU IN MY MIND OF THOSE WHO I LOVE IF I HAVEN'T MET YOU IN MY LIFE!!!!????" The Akame I met was determined, emotionally strong, and preserved, but the one I saw was a fragile, open minded, and crying one. I sighed, and looked at her.

Y/n: "You are my childhood friend Akame." Her eyes widened. "We used to live at the same village. Our parents, Kurome, you, and me. Trust me, I wanted to tell you, but not like this. Not in this situation."

Akame: "I see." She lowered her sword, and her face became emotionless. I looked at Tatsumi again.

Y/n: "Let's help Tatsumi, and we'll talk about this later. Ok?" She simply nodded, and headed towards Tatsumi. I went towards Tatsumi, and we both carried him back to HQ.

============Timeskip============

Boss: "Good job. All of you. I'll give Tatsumi congratulations when I have the chance." The boss was complementing us for our hard work, while holding the Imperial Arm. She stood up. "You can all rest for today." She announced, then she left with the others.

I was standing there with Akame a few feet away from me. We were like this for a few minutes, but it felt hours, and awkward.

Akame: "Tell me. Everything." She broke the silence, but didn't turned to me. I sighed, went to the stairs that were in front of te boss' chair, and sat down. I took a deep breath and began.

Y/n: "The mission that Leone and I went to a ruin, it was a village. The village that your family and mine lived." Her eyes were covered by her hair, and I couldn't make out what she was thinking. "We were seven when the chaos started. The Capital came to our village, and started to fight the people that used to live there, children taken from their families, and they burned the shacks that were our houses." I looked down with sadness. "From what I heard, is that you and Kurome were sold to the Capital. They are wrong. You were taken, abducted from your family. They brainwashed you and made you forget about your childhood life." I told her with truth in my voice.

Akame: "Then if we were abducted from our families, why weren't you there with us?" She still didn't looked at me.

Y/n: "I managed to escape. Captain Ogre was the one who took me, but I stabbed him on his eye with a rock, and ran away. That's how I got the house I was mostly raised for the last eight years."

Akame: "Why didn't you told me before?" I looked while I shook my head.

Y/n: "Would you believe a guy that said, 'Akame, don't you remember me? I'm your childhood friend.'?" I asked her while making a mimick of my voice. She kept quiet, still not showing emotions. "Yeah, I wouldn't believe myself either." I looked down.

We kept quiet for how many minutes more, and it was more awkward than before. I looked at Akame, and she started to walk towards me, not showing her face, and with fists clenched. I readied myself for anything, but not for what she did next.

She kneeled in front of me, then hugged me. I flinched, and was going to ask her what was she doing, but then, I heard sobs. She was crying. Something that I wouldn't want to see and thought I would never see in my life, but here she was. Hugging me while sobbing. Hesitantly, I hugged her back.

Y/n: "I-It's ok Akame. I got you. I'm here for you." I assured her without thinking.

Akame: "I-I'm s-sorry. B-But, ever since I s-saw that boy, t-the little y-you, I wanted to hug him, despite me being in danger, I j-just had the urge t-to do it." She sobbed on my shoulder. I caressed her back and head.

Y/n: "I understand." I said with a smile. She nodded and buried her face on my shoulder even more.

Finally, she separated from me, and looked at me with a warm smile, which made me blush.

Akame: "I'm glad to have you by our side. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here right now. Thank you."

Y/n: "I-I would do anything to keep you from harms away, just like the people here in Night Raid." I smiled with determination. She giggled, which it was a sight I hadn't seen for a long time. I put a hand on her shoulder. "And I promise, that I would protect you and the people here with everything I have." She took my hand off her shoulder, and put it in between both ofher hands, holding it. (A/n: You perverts though it would be between her breast, AM I RIGHT? XP)

Akame: "Thank you, but promise me that you will survive. That every mission you go, you come back in one piece. That you'll never leave us." Her eyes showed hope and warmth. I nodded with the same feeling that she showed. For some reason, we stayed there without breaking eye contact, and I had this feeling that something great would happen in the future.

Then, we both felt chills running down our entire body, and looked at the door behind her. We saw everyone looking through the thin gap in between the doors.

Y/n: "What the HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING!!!???" I asked in irritation, which made the door opened by itself.

Leone: "Uh, oh my, look at that, the door opened by itself. Heheheh." She scartched the back of her head.

Lubbock: "Umm, I was searching for the kitchen, but this was the wrong door." He lookd to his side.

Bulat: "I was looking for Tatsumi which left his bed."

Tatsumi: "I was um, looking for Bulat because, ummm, I needed something from him." That made Bulat look at him with sparkling eyes, which made Tatsumi shiver.

Sheele: "We were peeping on you two to see how everything would turn out. And-mmmmmmph!!!" Everyone, except the boss, put a hand over Sheele's mouth to stop talking.

Boss: "Guees that everything went well between both of you." I nodded. "Then that settles it, both of you will start working together tomorrow, so be prepared." We both nodded.

Y/n: "I'm fine with it." I smiled.

Mine: "Can anyone explain what happened here, because I was the last one that got here!!!???" She said irritated. I shook my head and sighed. 'This will be another long night.' I thought.

============Timeskip============

It was the next day, afternoon to be precise, and I was making dinner for Night Raid.

Last night, we had to explain to Mine, well everyone, about Akame's and my childhood. They were shocked at the story, but were happy to know more about their comrades.

This morning, was normal. Tatsumi and Sheele were up early. They ate breakfast, then went outside to train. The others woke up, and ate breakfast as well, then left to do whatever they mostly do.

Akame and I were mostly hunting food, cooking, and talking. The day passed very fast. Guess that time flies when you're having fun.

Boss: "Y/n. Akame. Come to the table. I have an assignment for both of you." The boss called to us from behind. We turned off the stove, took off the apron, and went towards the boss.

We both sat down and looked at the boss.

Akame: "What is our assignment?" She asked.

Boss: "Both of you have to go the Capital's Red-Light District. There's a brothel there that must be watched and wait for one of the owners to appear."

Y/n: "One?" I asked in confusion.

Boss: "Yes, one. His name is Yamada and he oftens go to that place to make sure of the merchandise, and also abuse the women in that place. I need you to kill him, and his guards, for then all of the other owners to gather. And when that happens, I'll send Leone and Tatsumi." We both nodded.

Akame: "The job will be done."

============Timeskip============

It was night, and we were on a rooftop, the brothel's roof specifically, waiting for one of the owners to appear.

We then saw the owner with three guards entering the brothel, at the time when everyone is satysfied, and they leave. I looked at Akame and asked: "Ready?" She nodded and gave me a thumbs up.

We were on the cealing where we took a small peak at the inside. We saw women, in a trance because of a foul smell, or some kind of drug.

Yamada: "Well, boy's guess we can have our fun for the night." The owner said with a smirk.

Guard1: "You going for the same?" The owner shook his head.

Yamada: "She was taken away to somewhere else. Where she can be of best use to break her, but her companion is here, which is the same perfection." He stated while entering a room. The guards grabbed a woman for each of them, and entered a room. I looked at Akame.

Y/n: "I take Yamada and one of the guards. You take the other two." I suggested. She nodded, but put a hand on my arm.

Akame: "Just be careful, and do it quietly." I nodded and held her hand firm. I let go of her and went to the an area of the cealing that was on top of one of the rooms, which was Yamada.

I took a peak, and saw him already thrusting into a woman, which her legs were wrapped wound his waist. I saw her arms wrapped around Yamada's neck and her face was covered with his head. 'They are probably kissing.' I guessed.

She put her head on his shoulder while hugging and moaning in pure bliss and pleasure.

Then, my eyes widened and I froze in place. I recognized her, the woman. Her black hair, and her blue eyes, that were full of lust.

Yamada: "You're time is almost over, the drug inside you will kill you within a few hours." He said with a sadistic tone

Woman: "I don't care, just keep going!!!" I was trembling, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I looked over to Akame and saw her entering one of the rooms. I looked back at the pair, fornicating.

The woman's eyes locked with mine, and I was trembling while tears ran down my cheeks. The woman smiled at me, and offered her hand towards me with a smile.

I shook my head and readied mother's knife. I wiped away the tears and prepared myself to kill him once I landed behind him.

The woman that was there, the one that was fornicating with this monster, and I recognized, was the one I haven't seen in years, and never thought I would see her in this condition. She was............. Aoimoku, Akame's and Kurome's mother.
