POV: Y/n

I was hunting in the woods, training and meditating when I heard a rustling in the leaves behind me. "Alright Tatsumi," Leone started quitely, "That's Y/n, I want you to strike him." "Okay," Tatsumi said, "he's not paying attention, this shouldn't be too hard." I then grew a mischievous smile and I waited for Tatsummi to strike. I grabbed my sword, which was dug into the ground, as Tatsumi swung and I blocked his strike countering by nearing his throat.

"H-h-how?" Tatsumi asked. "You're too loud," I started, "it doesn't help that you can't hide your aura." "And that is what I was testing." Leone said hugging me. "Who all has he met?" I asked, sheathing my sword. "After Sheele, Mine and Bulat," Leone started, "you're the first." "I'm honored." I started reaching to shake his hand, "Tatsumi it's a pleasure to meet you." "it's a pleasure to meet you too," Tatsumi said shaking my hand, "you seem to be normal, aside from turning into an animal." "That's not all that makes him special." Leone added giving me a smirk. "What do you mean?" Tatsumi asked. "Hokuto Shinken." I said seeing Tatsumi look in confusion. "It's a fighting style, made specifically for assassinations. It kills from the inside, You commonly only have one master per generation, and I was an exception." "Wow." Tatsumi said in shock.

"Why didn't you use it on that guard last night?" Leone asked. "I did," I started, "there were three guards. I killed two of them using pressure points and the third I decided keep as a trophy." "So is it only used for killing?" Tatsumi asked, "No," I responded getting closer to him, "I can use it to heal, soothe," I then pushed a point on the back of his head, "mute, and extract information." I saw Tatsumi try to speak but no words came out. It appeared as if he mouthed the phrase, What the fuck did you do? I then tapped the back of his head fixing him. "Like it?" I asked jokingly. "Yea, don't do that again." Tatsumi replied. "Leone, who am I meeting next?"

A few moments later we walked along a hidden path looking for Lubbock, we found him lying on the ground looking towards the river. "Hehe," Lubbock said, "It's almost time for Leones bath." I snuck up behind him and spoke. "Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken. [Fist of the 1000 Shred {or Hundred Rending Fists}]" "OH GOD NO!" Lubbock cried, "HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO LIVE?" "About 25 seconds," I replied, "Apologize and promise to not do this again and I'll save you." "I WON'T DO IT ANYMORRREE!" Lubbock cried. "Okay, I'll keep my promise." I said flicking him in the forehead, sending him into the river. "Is he gonna be okay?" Tatsumi asked. "Yeah," I said laughing, "I never touched him." "That's Lubbock," Leone said holding her gut, "He's a pervert, don't be like him." "Got it." Tatsumi answered quickly, "Who's next?"

The three of use then walked down the river looking for Akame, since the boss was out. "I smell her," I said having Tatsumi look at me weird. "What, she's got a bird cooking and I smell it." "Then let's go," Leone said picking up her pace, "You'll like her, she's a looker." Just the the cooking bird. "Hey Akame!" Leone said walking up, "Meet Tatsumi." "Hey, nice to meet you." Tatsumi said reaching his hand out. "Are you joining us?" Akame asked tossing me and Leone a piece of the bird. "N-n-no, not yet." Tatsumi replied. "By the way Akame," Leone asked tearing at her meal, "Why is everyone so on edge?" "You didn't know?" Akame started, "The boss is back." Just then the boss walked out from behind the bird. "Hey Boss!" Leone said waving towards her, "Did ya bring me anything?" "Leone," the boss said, "About your last mission. You were three days late." as she said that Leone started to run away but she was caught by the boss' robotic arm. "Cool!" Tatsumi said. "I forgot you could do that Najeda." I said laughing. "Let's head back for debriefing." Najeda started, "Y/n we need to talk about you letting the enemy talk."

A few moments later we were sitting in the debriefing room when Najeda asked the most pressing question. "So Tatsumi, will you be joining Night Raid." Najeda asked as Tatsumi looked in awe. "I'm dead if I decline, right?" Tatsumi asked. "No," Najeda responded, "that's not going to happen... but we can't let you go back. We'll have you work as a laborer in our workshop. At any rate, you won't die even if you decline. Given that... what do you think?" Tatsumi stood there for a second, thinking to himself. "I..." He started, "Was planning to go out to the capital and become successful, to save my village, which is suffering from poverty... but even if the Imperial Capital's rotting!" "The countryside's poor," Bulat started, "and it's suffering because the center's rotten. Don't you want to uproot the source of the rot? As a man!" "Besides, the Capital's good at destroying villages." I said clenching my fist, seeing Akame look down again. Najeda then told Tatsumi about Night Raid and our mission, she then asked the question again. "Yes." Tatsumi replied. "I see, the killing you're doing now is just targeting bad guys to clean out the trash... IT'S WHAT THEY CALL ASSASSINS OF JUSTICE, ISN'T IT!"

We all laughed at that statement. "What's so funny?" Tatsumi asked. "Tatsumi," Leone started, "No matter how you dress it up, what we're doing is murder." "There's no way there's any justice in that." Sheele stated. "Every person in here..." Bulat started, "Could receive their retribution at any moment." "We've all killed scores of people." I started, "whether it be for personal reasons, or for a mission. We all have killed multiple people. So that begs the question... will your ideas change?" "Will I be rewarded?" Tatsumi asked. "Yeah." Najeda replied, "If you work properly you'll be able to save a hometown or thereabout." "THEN I'LL DO IT!" Tatsumi cried, "LET ME INTO NIGHT RAID!! If it's for a big goal like that, Sayo and Ieyasu would have done the same!" "You might become unable to freely return to your village, though." Mine stated, "You might even become a shunned figure." I added. "That's fine," Tatsumi replied, "As long as everyone in the village can be happy through that." "It's decided." Najeda said reaching her mechanical right hand out. "Welcome to the path of carnage, Tatsumi."

Just then Lubbock started to freak out. "Najeda!" Lubbock cried, "INTRUDERS!" "How many?" Najeda asked. "Maybe 8 or 9, they're all over the place with one at the center. OH SHIT THEY'RE GETTING CLOSER!!" "They're good." Najeda stated, "To sniff out this place means... they're probably mercenaries of another race. There's no other way." Najeda lit a cigarette. "It's an emergency sortie. Don't let any of them return alive. GO!" We all ran off, leaving Tatsumi behind. Just one more step towards my goal of finding and killing the Elite Seven I though, putting on my mask.

After finding a group of 6 intruders I decided to fight them all. They formed a line of archers to shot me with a mastermind behind them. "Jūretsu Ha (Column Break)" I shouted taking down all but the mastermind. "Hokuto Shinken." The mastermind started, drawing a sword, "my bosses will be pleased to know the champion lives." "Good to see that I'm sought after." I said remembering my time with my teacher Kenshiro, and my three 'brothers' who failed. I hoped I didn't have to kill them. "Which of my brothers do you work for?" "The KING will see that you die before you meet them." the intruder said swinging a sword at me. I drew my sword to block it using only my right hand, so I could strike him with my left. The intruder then knocked my sword into the ground leaving my with the perfect opening to strike. "Hokuto Zankai Ken! [North Star Fist of remorse]" I cried, having him drop his weapon and lose all feeling as I jabbed my thumbs in his temples. "W-w-what did you do to me?" he asked. "I've killed you," I said removing my thumbs from the side of his head, "in 7 seconds you will explode, so get your affairs in order." "N-n-no, I don't want to die!" the intruder cried running away, and seven seconds later, his head split in two and exploded. Let's see if I can find anyone else! I thought running off to find other members of Night Raid.

As I was running through the woods I saw Akame, she was fighting three intruders, really they were standing, weighing their options, so I jumped in there to help. "Need some help?" I asked landing next to Akame, "I figured out who they work for." "No," Akame replied, "I'll be fine." I could barely make out what the intruders were saying, but it sounded like at least one of them wanted to take Akame as a prisoner. Akame then darted past the three, cutting all three in either the throat or the shoulder. "You are too relaxed in enemy territory..." Akame said sheathing her sword. "I can at least kill her..." The third intruder said trying to kill Akame. "P-poison?" as the intruder said that, he fell dead as his heart stopped. "Let's see if we can find the new kid." I said walking off into the woods, followed quickly by Akame.

"What do you think of Tatsumi." Akame asked me as we walked. "I think the kid could be a great leader," I started, "However, I haven't seen him in action, so I don't know how he'd react under duress. Why do you ask?" "Just curious." Akame answered, "I think he is general-class. If he continues to train." "All of that came from coming to blows with him only once?" I asked, as I heard Tatsumi scream as he were in combat. "THESE WERE THE MOVES WE BUILT UP!!!" Tatsumi cried as Akame and I reached the edge of the woods, waiting to see what Tatsumi would do. "I beg of you!" The intruder cried as Tatsumi walked in for the kill, "Let me go! If I die, my village -!" I could tell that hit a nerve in Tatsumi, as if he saw himself in the intruder. "Shit!" I whispered seeing the intruder try and strike at Tatsumi. "HAHAHA, YOU'RE TOO NAÏVE, YOUNG BOY!" The intruder cried swinging at Tatsumi, "I'LL HAVE YOU DIE FOR MY CLAN!!" At that point I unsheath my blade and jumped in front of Tatsumi, defending him, as Akame pierce the intruder, killing him instantly.

"Don't waver..." Akame said looking at Tatsumi, "You should land the killing blow promptly." "Tatsumi," I added, "In this world, the bad guys never fight fair." Just then Bulat came running onto the scene. "Hiya," Bulat said, still in his armor, "The enemy came running over here, right!? Leave the rest to me!" "It's over already." Akame said, upsetting Bulat. "You can show off to..." I started, "Tatsumi, later." "Hey." Tatsumi said. "Come on," Akame said walking off, "Let's head back."

About an hour later we were having a small party outside to celebrate our victory. Bulat was standing on the table, drunk, and he decided he wanted to spar right then and there. "Bulat," I started, placing down my mug and standing up, "that's a really dumb idea." Bulat then swung at me and I simple grabbed his wrist and threw him to the ground. "I warned you." I said helping him up. "Team up with Akame and Y/n and learn from them." I heard Najeda say, "Do you two understand?" "Uh huh." Akame answered, "What?" I asked seeing Najeda, seeing her look annoyed. "You and Akame are training Tatsumi." She responded, "You can cut him down if it seems he'll get in the way." "Uh huh." Akame responded. "You got it ma'am." I responded. "You're lucky to be able to be taught by a cute girl," Najeda started, "and one of the strongest hand-to-hand combatants in the Empire. Do your best so you don't get killed!"
