POV Y/n (Kakoshi)

We were training in the courtyard. Tatsumi was fighting Akame, while took on Lubbock, since he needed some more close hand to hand combat. I drew Extase and prepared for an attack, I swung at Lubbock’s legs, he dodged and for a counter attack wrapped his Cross Tail around my neck. “Y/n,” Tatsumi said getting punched in the face by Bulat, “What the hell was that for?!” “Keep your eyes on the battlefield at all times.” Bulat said. “Good job Lubba,” I said cutting the cord off my neck with Extase, you got me. “I’mma do some target practice.” I then walked to a makeshift firing range I made, and I threw up six apples into the air at once. I calmed my nerve and shot each one out of the sky. I then spun my empty revolver into it’s holster. Just then Mine came running out, “Y/n,” she said out of breath, “get to Sheele’s room now, you’ll wanna see this.” As she said that I darted straight to Sheele’s room.

When I got to her room, I saw the best thing I could have wanted, I saw Sheele awake and sitting up in bed. “Sheele!” I said running in and hugging her. “Hey Y/n,” she said, “that kinda hurts though.” “Sorry,” I said backing up, “Is there anything I can get you?” “I’m kinda hungry.” She replied as I heard her stomach rumble, “I’ll be back in a flash babe.” I said leaving the room with Extase still on my back. I came back less than a moment later with a plate of fruit for Sheele, “Hey Y/n,” Sheele started, “Why do you have Extase on your back?” “well,” I started, “When you were shot, I grabbed you and Extase, a large number of guards arrived to take us out, so I asked Extase if it minded lendin’ me it’s power, and it worked so I’ve wielded it up until now to use in yer honor.” “I hate to ruin this reunion,” The boss said entering the room, “But Y/n I have a mission for you and you alone. Come with me to the conference room.” “Yes ma’am,” I said, “Sheele, before I go, I love you.” As I said that she kissed me, “I love you too,” She replied, ending the kiss, “Make sure you come back.” “Cross my Core and Swear to Live.” I said leaving the room, and placing down Extase.

When I got into the conference room, I saw Tatsumi and Bulat there, “Hey guys.” I said. “Hey man, what did Mine call you in for?” Tatsumi asked, “Sheele’s back in action.” I responded. “That’s great!” Bulat said. “It is, but we still have missions to go through.” the boss said lighting a cigarette, “Y/n, you were an inquisitor for your village correct?” “Yes ma’am,” I responded, “are those specific skills needed fer this mission?” “For your mission yes.” she responded, “a village in the north was slaughtered, and Night Raid was blamed, I want you to figure out who did this and why.” “Alright Ma’am,” I said, “I’ll be headin’ that-a way.” As I said that I ran out as happy as ever.

I ran north for a few hours, trying to make the best of my time. When I got halfway to the village I noticed that a small village I came across had a stable, with horses that broke out. “Y’all need some help?” I said wrangling one the horses back into the stable. “Thank you sir.” The owner said, “Please as compensation take the horse you grabbed, it seems like it respects you.” “Thank ya pardner.” I said mounting the horse, which I decided to call Sleipnir and riding off towards the village trying to make it before nightfall.  When I got to the village, I realized that there was no people around, “This seems like the place,” I said to myself, “‘There’s no one ‘ere, and death is in the air.” I then walked around a corner, and I saw a large pile of corpses, “They’re still fresh.” I said picking up the wrist of the corpse nearest me checking for rigamortis. “It’s been dead maybe a few hours, could be longer due to all the snow here. The killer, or killers should be long gone. But whoever they are, ones a psychopathic, the victim’s faces ‘ave been removed.” I then walked around trying to find any more clues, when I found a carriage. I went near it to look for clues, where I saw large blood splatters on the side of the carriage, “Looks as if the victim was killed with a large battle axe, and there was more than one, blood on both sides, implying that there’s more than one killer. One I know has a battle axe, a second was here to cause a distraction, and a third appears to take on the other side, but I’m not sure about a weapon used by the other two.” I then noticed a paper in the blood on the ground. “What do we have ‘ere?” I asked myself picking up the paper, “So this is why they think Night Raid is to blame. The posters look like official Night Raid propaganda, I’mma have to show this to the boss.” I then took down the poster and rode my horse back to base.

When I neared the stable where I got my horse, I saw a bright orange light to the west and the owner run out to stop me. “Please mister!” the man said, “Please, my village is under attack, can you stop the fighters.” I didn’t answer and turned west and darted in the direction of the village. “Mimic; Incursio, Mimic; Pumpkin, Mimic; Extase.” I said jumping off my horse, “Stay here my friend.” I then ran towards the flames, when I got there I saw what was attacking the village. It was a Superclass danger beast, Tyrant.

I then jumped out drawing my revolver and firing upon it, hitting each shot, and the beast noticed me. It tried to crush me with it’s massive fist, when I ran up it’s arm and slashed at it’s neck, I took a few chunks out of it, but it slapped me off with a slash, cutting my abdomen open with blood spilling on the ground. I then saw the Tyrant blow flames at me, instantly cauterizing my would. ‘It’s gonna take a ‘elluva lot more to kiLL ME!” I said running in when I realized the Tyrant used it’s invisibility to hide and attack. “That ain’t gonna work.” I said closing my eyes and listening for it to move in for an attack. I then heard a whoosh from behind me, I then jumped up and cut into the chest of the Tyrant, taking out it’s heart. After killing it, I used Elemental Heart to boil the skin off of the Tyrant's head and then removed the skull, keeping it as a souvenir.

When I got back to base, I noticed that Tatsumi had a new sword, but he was sad and Bulat was MIA. “Hey Tatsumi,” I started, “I like the new sword, but uh… where’s Aniki?” “H-h-h-h-he was ki-killed.” Tatsumi said, “By who?” “An old friend of his, I think he used to be his General,” Tatsumi said with tears in his eyes, “but he was killed in the process, along with one of the other two people there.” “So there were three guys?” I asked having that information click in my mind. “Yea,” Tatsumi said, “they all were teigu users, I gave the boss their weapons.” “Okay, two questions arise.” I said, “One was one of those weapons the bad guys used a battle axe? And two where is Incursio?” “Yea, one of the guys used a battle axe,” Tatsumi said drawing his sword, “and I have Incursio right here. Why did you want to know?” “In my mission I deduced that we were blamed by another group, likely a three man group, one of whom wielded a battle axe.” I stated. “But I believe congratulations are in order for yer improvement, and honor for Aniki’s death.” “Well boys,” the boss said, “That will have to wait, Y/n I have another mission for you.” “What is it ma’am.” I asked. “I need you and Leone to look into General Esdeath, she has returned to the Capitol.” the boss said, “But I thought she wasn’t set to return for a few months at best.” I stated in shock. “As did I,” the boss said, “her teigu is very powerful, second only to you.” “Okay ma’am, I’ll grab Leone and we’ll leave.” I replied. “Do so in the morning, Y/n,” the boss said, “Leone’s already asleep, and you may do better with some, if you are even part human.” “Alright Ma’am, it’ll be nice sleepin’ in my own bed for once.” I said heading for my room. “Wait a second.” Tatsumi said, “What the hell does that mean?” “I slep’ in a chair by Sheele’s bed.” I replied laughing.

The next morning Leone and I walked through the city trying to figure out where the General would be when I spotted her. “Target acquired, Mimic: Spectator.” I muttered as we walked towards her. We simply walked past her without a problem, but I could feel her teigu, Demon Extract, scream in rage, and I saw that she only had her rapier on her, no armor or but I saw what looked like a note in her pocket. After we walked a few feet away we turned down a corner and spoke, “Okay Leone,” I said, “It looks like she has a note in her pocket.” “How do you know that?” Leone asked in a sly manner. “I mimicked Spectator to see what she had on her.” I replied, “You just wanted to see her tits didn’t you.” “N-no!” I replied hastefully, “I am in love with Sheele and will not get with any other girl. Now watch for my cue, it’ll be easy for ya to know.” I then walked off towards the bar. When I came back, I had a bottle of whiskey in my left hand and I walked in a drunken manner. When I neared the general, I drunkenly bumped into her. “Sh-sharry ma’am,” I said in a slurr, “I sink I’ve had too much to drink.” “Do you know who you are talking to?” She said in a demanding tone, “and I was enjoying my ice cream.” “I’m sharry ma’am” I said reaching into my pocket, “lemme give you shum money for a new one.” as I said that I gave her some money to buy another and I left stumbling around the street. Before I even got five feet away, Leone came to help me walk off. “I’m sorry about my friend.” She said lifting me up, “Just get him out of my sight.” Esdeath said.

When we got a ways away I started walking normally. “Well,” I started, “How’d I do?” “So you’re not a lilly liver.” Leone said, “You faked being drunk. But did you get the note?” “I didn’t like havin’ to grab for it, but it’s fer a good cause.” I said holding up the note. “Oh Oh, I have some di~rt.” Leone said in a sly manner “I may use this for blackmail.” “Please don’t” I responded. “Besides, I got valuable inf’rmation.”
