"Gunshots..?"

I thought as continuous loud bursts of noise echoed throughout the forest that I am currently taking shelter in, and it just interrupted my precious nap.

"In the middle of the night?"

I stood up and grabbed my sword before sprinting to where those rapid gunshots came from, jumping branch after branch just to reach my destination as fast as I could.

"This better not be those damned Night Raid. I've heard about them for quite a while but haven't encounterwd the group, only the massacre they brought."

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

I heard more gunshots to my west, It was louder so I probably was near the fight. I stopped my momentum by landing on a trunk before turning my direction to the western part of the forest.

Moments after that, my surroundings became clearer, signaling that I got out of the forest quickly. Soon, my vision detected three silhouettes in front of me, two were white and the other one...was red.

"A raging individual..another demon to kill..."

The figure showed extreme reaction time as it dodged the incoming bullets from the guard's assault rifle. It then used it's sword to slash the guard in half before approaching the small while silhouette, which I assumed is a little girl.

Little girl:"Please help..!"

Red Silhouette:"You deserved this..."

"Killing a little girl is not gonna fill your conscience?"

I unsheathed my sword and ran out of the bushes with it slicing through the wind. I flipped the blunt edge of it and before the red silhouette could kill the girl, I jumped in and blocked it's blade. "It" turned out to be a "she".

Red Silhouette:"Why are you in my way? You're not a target."

I only stared intently before pushing the girl to a distance where I could get some breathing area. The tall white silhouette then stopped beside me with a long sword at hand.

White Silhouette:"I don't know who you are...but please help me protect this girl..."

I nod.

Tatsumi:"I'm Tatsumi, you?"

Silence fills the area as I switch my sword back into it's sharper edge to the red figure.

"Hyakkimaru...."
