Thursday 11th August
Dominic Richards was hungover. Red-eyed, pounding headed, vomit-spurting-ly hungover. His torso was sprawled messily over his usual table as he snored quietly. His subconscious replayed the events of the night before in his mind as he slept.
"Dom! You made it!" Mark screamed over he music, flicking his jet black hair out of his face. "We got strippers!"
"You what?" Dominic asked, as he followed Mark into the kitchen.
"Strippers!" Mark repeated at the same volume even though there was no music in the room to drown him out. "S-T-R--"
"Oh, nice." Dominic sighed, glancing around the room. His only goal tonight was to get absolutely shit-faced. "You got any alcohol?" he asked. Mark stared blankly at his friend as if no words had been uttered. "Alcohol, Mark." Dominic repeated. "A-L-C--"
"Did I tell you that I shagged Kaden?" Mark asked, his almost-black eyes lighting up.
"No..." Dominic replied, frowning. "When?"
"For a few weeks now. And get this, her hair is totally as soft as it looks!" Mark announced, looking proud. Dominic frowned at his completely intoxicated friend before turning to the fridge and opening it. He sighed with relief when he spotted a bottle of Jack.
"This is all I need tonight." he said to himself before pulling it out and turning around to face Mark whose presence had been replaced by Kaden's.
"Hi Dommy." she giggled as took a few steps towards him. Out of respect, Dominic attempted to keep his eyes off her revealing dress.
But alas he was a teen some feelings were just irrepressible. Kaden's dress was crimson red with spaghetti straps and an impossibly low neckline.
"Hi..." Dominic muttered, guiltily tearing his eyes away from her exposed chest and staring at the floor in discomfort.
"Let's talk." she said as she skipped over to the island table and hoisted herself up onto it.
"Alright." Dominic agreed as he took a seat somewhat near her and took a swig from the bottle in his hand.
"So, you like my sister." Kaden announced, swinging out her toned brown legs.
The statement hung in the air for a while as Dominic took another swig of his drink and Kaden continued to inspect her long limbs.
"I mean, there's no point in denying it." she went on. "You like her." she sung. "Stupid choice."
"What?" Dominic said, looking up at Kaden.
"Stupid. Choice." she repeated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "You saw what happened with Eli, he liked Jordan and he ended up dead!" Kaden said before throwing her head back and letting out a shrill cackle.
"Kaden..." Dominic said uncertaintly. "Are you--"
"No I'm not alright! I'm all wrong, alright?" she yelled, shaking her head. "I'm all--" the teen paused mid-screech when she noticed someone at the door. Dominic followed her gaze.
There stood Jordan, dressed in a pair of black nikes, jean shorts and worn-looking oversized jumper. Her eyes skipped between her sister and Dominic, her expression blank.
"We were just talking." he said just as Kaden came out with, "he likes you."
"We need to get home." Jordan said quietly to her sister, making no comment on the pair's earlier statements. Dominic's eyes flickered between the two sisters before nervously taking another gulp of Jack.
"I'm not finished with Dommy." Kaden said in a lilt. "As I was saying, it was a stupid decision. Jordan's not looking for a relationship right now--"
"Kaden." Jordan hissed.
"--and probably won't ever be because--"
"Kaden." Jordan said again, her voice rising.
"--of Eli." Kaden finished. Dominic looked over at Jordan. Her eyes were glassy, her hands balled into fists. Dominic wanted to ask if she was alright but before he could even open his mouth she stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
"See you tomorrow morning." Kaden murmured, waving drunkenly at the closed door.
Dominic sighed before getting up and exiting the room in search of a place where he would get drunk in solitude.
