Ranvijay POV

"Like us,"

She said and a wide smile appeared on my face in no time.

"Like us,"

I repeated and leaned in closer to kiss her cheeks.

"Let's go,"

I said and she nodded looking at me.

"Ji,"

I saw her inhaling a deep breath and walking with me towards the outside of the chamber. She was seeming quite nervous and tensed already. I did not know but I wanted anything but her sadness.

It was the first time she was going back to her home and I could sense that a lot of things were waiting for us.

We both walked out of our chamber and I was informed that the attendees had already packed and loaded the things that needed to be taken along into the carriages.

We both walked towards the entrance of the Kingdom where everyone was already waiting for us.

I noticed that Aishwarya slowly pulled her hand back from my hold when her sight fell on Bhai-sa and Bhabhi-sa.

A slight smile appeared on my face and I looked at Bhai-sa.

"Happy Journey, Ranvijay,"

He said and wrapped his arms around me and I did the same in return.

"Thank you so much, Bhabhi-sa,"

From the corner of my eyes, I could see that Aishwarya was talking to Bhabhi-sa. Her veil was low till her forehead and I saw her walking closer to me.

She did not say anything but we both bent low to touch Bhai-sa's feet and he blessed us.

"God bless you,"

He said and then we both bent low to touch Bhabhi-sa's feet too.

"May you find each other in this journey,"

She said and Bhaisa and I chuckled a little.

She pulled Aishwarya in a loose hug and said.

"Aap jaa rahi hai to hamara man bhi nahi lagega ab,"

"Now, when you are leaving I will miss you a lot,"

Aishwarya smiled and looked at her.

"Hum jaldi wapis aaenge Jiji,"

"I will come back soon, Jiji,"

They talked a little more while I looked at Agastya who came running to us.

"I am sorry but I am late,"

He said and I looked at him all ready and set. I thinned my brows and questioned.

"Where are you going?"

He smiled and looked at me.

"With you,"

He said and I immediately shook my head.

"No, you are not,"

Bhaisa laughed and he said.

"He is going to visit a friend, and will accompany you for a few miles only,"

"Oh,"

I said and nodded.

"Very well,"

I said and walked towards the horses that were waiting for us.

I looked at Aishwarya sitting in her palanquin and I climbed the horse.

Agastya also climbed his and I smiled looking at Bhaisa and Bhabhisa and they smiled.

"Happy Journey, Devarsa,"

I smiled and suddenly Agastya grinned and replied loudly.

"Happy Honeymoon, Bhabhisa,"

She burst into laughter and I looked at Bhaisa collecting her in a loose hug while they both see us walking away.

We started our journey and I looked at Agastya.

"So, which friend you are visiting?"

I asked and he smiled.

"An old friend from Gurukul, it's his sister's wedding and I am going to attend the wedding,"

He said and I smiled.

"Very well, but you seem tired,"

I said and he smiled.

"I was awake last night. There was something wrong with the calculations of wages and supplies to labourers, I asked one of my assistants to do that but seems like he messed up. So, I had to do that again,"

He said and I smiled.

"Work is suiting you, Agastya,"

I said and he smiled.

"You tell, Bhaisa, are you and Bhabhisa getting along? I mean the kind of marriage you both have, it must be difficult,"

He said and I gulped shaking my head a little.

"No, it's not difficult but yes I am trying to understand her. Also, she is pretty young, so, I have to be very careful with my every word,"

I said and he smiled lazily.

"You always have a way with words. That means it's not difficult at all,"

He said and I chuckled.

"Everything has its own struggles. You tell how is your little affair going?"

I asked and a wide smile appeared on his face. But, I could sense the pain behind it.

"My affair is denying me and I am kind of tired of trying now,"

He said in a slow voice and I asked.

"Why is she denying?"

He inhaled a deep breath and looked at me.

"She is getting married,"

A wave of shock washed over me.

"What? Oh, My God. Is she the same girl whose wedding you are going to attend?"

I asked and he smiled.

"Yes,"

"But, why are going then?"

I immediately questioned and he smiled.

"It's not bad to take rejections and move on, Bhaisa,"

He said and I exhaled deeply.

"Yes, good, right, but seeing her getting married will hurt you,"

I tried to say and he shook his head.

"No, I think seeing her getting married will help me move on,"

He said and I nodded.

"Since when you have grown up? Child,"

I teased and he laughed.

We talked for a while and then the time came to separate our ways.

"All right, see you soon, Bhaisa,"

He said and I saw a partition of convey separating for him.

It was almost post-afternoon and we were about to reach Songarh. Only a few miles were left.

We kept walking and soon a faded architecture appeared before us. It was blurry and the orange sun rays coming from its direction because of the setting sun tickled my eyes a little.

We were there. Almost.

It was built on a hill and we started to climb it.

After some time we reached close to the top and its door and I asked the convoy to stop.

The attendees at the door looked at us and blew the trumpet three times in a row. The door started to open slowly and I could sense that it was heavy and old because of its thrilling sound.

I stepped down from the horse and walked towards the Palanquin.

"Come out, Aishwarya,"

I said and forwarded my hand to her. I saw her parting the curtains and slowly placing her hand into mine. She moved her lehenga along with her legs to step down and stood tall.

Her gaze was low and I could sense that she was feeling nervous already.

"Are you okay? Aishwarya,"

I asked and she nodded a little.

"Ji,"

She corrected the dupatta on her head and I looked at her.

"Okay, if you want to run back from, let's run back,"

I said and she burst into little laughter.

She lifted her gaze and shook her head.

"No, Hukum,"

She said and I pulled her closer all of a sudden. Her eyes widened and she immediately took a step back realizing that we were not alone.

"Let's go,"

She said and held my hand tightly and inhaled a deep breath before taking the steps forward.

I looked forward to the big iron entrance as it was now wide open. A few attendees waiting at the door while we were just ten steps away.

And, I looked at her father with a group of ladies and gents walking towards the door.

We both slowed down our steps waiting for them to reach the door.

Just as they were approaching closer, I felt Aishwarya pulling her hand back and I lowered my gaze for a moment.

"This is not what we agreed to, Aishwarya,"

I said referring to the way she pulled her hand back from mine.

I heard her inhaling deeply and blinking rapidly.

"This is not feeling well in front of my father,"

She said and just then they stood in front of us.

I smiled and said.

"Pranam, Raja ji,"

He also adjoined his hands and smiled looking at me.

"Welcome, Jawai Sa,"

"Pranam, Bapusa,"

Aishwarya said in her same slow voice and he smiled looking at her.

We both bent low to touch his feet and he abruptly shifted in his steps.

"You do not have to do it, hahahaa,"

He laughed at the end and we both straightened up.

I looked at a group of ladies in the viel standing with me and giggling and it was already making me vomit. I did not know but a lot of ladies, giggling and laughing make me feel nauseous.

"Aishwarya,"

A few of them came forward past her father and jumped over her.

I looked at her eyes coming out and she smiled.

"Jiji,"

She said with slight excitement and before I could process what the hell was happening, they pulled her inside and I looked at her father.

"Welcome, Jawai sa,"

He said and I nodded.

I shared a long walk inside with him while my eyes were watching around the old and strong structure of the Kingdom. Songarh was not a big Kingdom but it was one of the richest princely states of the Suryagarh and its division's territory.

The Walls were built of red stone and it was beautiful. The greenery, gardens and the noise of birds and insects were surrounding it beautifully and it was glowing beautifully under the glow of orange sunlight.

"How is everyone at home? Jawaisa, how is Ranaji?"

Suddenly, his voice caught my attention and I looked at him smiling.

"Everyone is good and happy. The reconstruction of the outskirts of the Kingdom has been started. In some time, the problem of shelter and home for movers will be resolved,"

I said and he smiled.

"That is a good thing. Please, come inside,"

He welcomed me into a hall and I stepped inside.

My sight fell on the couches and the men sitting on those couches. All eyes were on me as I took my step forward. There were sweets, fruits and dishes served on the table and a few of them savouring the normal Hukkah.

I smiled.

"Hamari taraf se sabko Khamma Ghani,"

"Warm wishes from my side,"

I said louder, entering the hall with my hands adjoined and my sword in between.

"Ghani Khamma,"

Their reply followed and I could guess that they were the husbands of Aishwarya's sisters.

I stepped forward towards a vacant seat beside a young man and sat down.

"Veer singh Malwa,"

The man said and I smiled looking at him.

"Ranvijay Dev Singh,"

I said and he forwarded the pipe of Hukkah to me and I gently took it in my hand.

My eyes were gazing at the men talking and the kind of laughter they were having was cheap.

"So, you are the brother of Rudra Dev Singh?"

The man beside me asked and I looked at him and nodded my head a little.

"Yes, I am,"

I said and his brows thinned a little and he nodded lazily.

He forwarded his hand to take a bite of sweet from the plate and my gaze again landed on the people who were talking silently and from the corner of their eyes looking at me.

"So, you have contacts with Mahableshgarh too?"

He asked and I nodded.

"Ji, Hamare Bhaisa ki sasural hai,"

"Ji, It's my Bhaisa's in-laws' home,"

His eyes widened with shock.

"Ohh,"

"So, what they are thinking of the snakes,"

He asked casually and I looked at him with slight surprise.

The talks were getting slightly darker and I looked at them taking puffs.

Seems like something strong is baking in here.

I looked at the pipe in my hand and I brought it closer to my mouth and inhaled a deep puff. The smoke settled deep in my throat and I exhaled it after a few moments.

A few eyes settled on me and I looked at the person sitting beside me.

"Snakes?"

I asked sounding completely casual and he stared at me silently for a moment before I forwarded my hand to pass the pipe to him.

My Bhaisa calls me sniper for this.

"Yes,"

He said and I gulped.

"Seems like someone is funding the snakes from the other end of the mountains,"

He said and I thinned my brows a little.

I was completely unaware of this.

"What are your propositions if there is something going to happen?"

Suddenly a voice caught my attention and I lifted my gaze to look in his direction. He just dragged himself out of a conversation and asked me.

A moment of silence followed because of many reasons. First, I could sense that something was very wrong, second I did not know what was wrong and third, all these people seems to be aware of this, while I was not.

"Whatever keeps all of us safe,"

I said and suddenly another man said.

"Despite you having empty pockets,"

He chuckled and a wave of laughter followed.

I gulped and lifted my gaze to look at him. I inhaled another puff and exhaled it casually saying.

"Yes, because a majority of the portion is going towards the wages of the workers who migrated from Ratangarh because of unemployment,"

His face fell immediately and he gritted his teeth.

A wave of cold silence followed and I looked sharply at him. I remembered his face from the crowning ceremony of Bhaisa the moment I entered the hall.

I could sense that people were jealous because we were seeming to be in the limelight.

And, what to do when people envy you?

I chuckled.

I lifted my right leg and placed it over my left knee and pushed my back against the back of the couch and smiled.

Burn them with your fire.
