The man's eyes widened. "You!" 

Ariah groaned. "Ugh, you." 

I glanced between the two of them two or three times before my eyes got caught on something.

"Ariah, is that... there's a huge bruise on your face." Someone had hit her. I could feel anger welling up inside me, but I tamped it down as best I could.

"Yeah," Ariah said, eyeing the human, "We have him to thank for that." 

"What?" He looked startled. "I didn't hit you that hard! Or at least, I don't think I did..."

"You did hit me that hard. Happy now? Or are you going to turn us in, too?"

The human had the grace to look guilty. "No. Look, maybe I can make it up to you. I know where those other fairies are going, if you want to know."

Okay, so Sargent Sutton feels guilty about hurting Ariah. As a result, he tells them that the "Fairies" are being taken to a secret CIA facility in Cartersville, Georgia. (look it up, it's a real place.) He also wants to accompany them and help them break out Mrs. Quigly and Wyndar. 

  So, he's human after all! And a turncoat. What do you know? Well, I'm just glad that he's doing the right thing.
