Standing Under The Moonlight- War Calls
Standing Under The Moonlight- War Calls
Grey ashes covered my coat,
As I looked back at the war scene,
Guns and rifles lay scattered around,
The people had taken their revenge the hard way; they had all been mean.
They could've solved matters peacefully,
Making each other understand things,
But no, they had to press the trigger and call for war;
And push other's lives to the brink.
The air smelt of burning leaves,
Thick smoke embraced me,
No sound was heard far and wide,
I can't believe this was meant to be seen.
Unexpected, far away, I heard the horses' hooves,
And an arrow pierced through the maple leaves,
Breaking the scilence I heard a scream:
"Let's bring the world down to her knees!"
