Life Wonders- The Whispers Of The Dark

I walked among the tall towering trees

Under a pitch black sky

I tried to calm my nerves down

As I heard awkward whispers in the dead of night.

My fingers swept over the thick tree trunks

And a branch cried under my foot

My eyes darted here and there

My ears pricked up hearing the owl's hoot.

Spooky green eyes began glowing a few feet away

As I backed off and turned

The spooky green eyes floated closer

They were giving me those goosebumps.

The wind whistled past my ear,

"Stand your ground of insanity,"

I heard somebody whisper hiding from my sight,

"Let the dead rise today,

On this Halloween night."
