Life Wonders- Her Cries We Heard In Winter

Little bells chimed in the distance,

On this cold wintry morning,

Huskies padded in the snow

Butterflies flew nonchalantly with snow crystals on their wings.

A sleigh had left tracks in the snow

Snowmen stood untouched a few feet away

The cold icy morning wind payed them a visit

And shattering the snowmen went another sleigh.

The sky grew a colour of burning red,

As the sun began to rise

In the quiet drowsy atmosphere

I heard her piercing cries.

Her cries were full of pain

They were like arrows in your heart

...at last only the rustling of leaves could be heard

As the wind carried her away.
