I Fell For The Night Sky- My Animal Family

I laughed at the little rodent beside my bed

And the lizard on the wall staring back at me,

The silly monkey on the washing machine,

And my little toy Orca out at sea.

The raindrops slashed on the windshield of the car as I looked into my rear-view mirror,

The little rodent and the lizard were playing a game of tug-of-war with my beanie,

The silly monkey snoring away, dreaming about banana gardens and ladybugs,

And my little toy Orca still out at sea.

We were flying to California; over hills and rivers and Gaia,

The little rodent was nibbling on an instruction card while the lizard watched with glee,

I looked out of my window as the silly monkey drummed my head,

My eyes got misty as I thought about my little toy Orca out at sea.

I was row row rowing in a rowboat with my animal family;

When the little rodent and the lizard looked up and gaped and grinned,

My silly monkey let go off his banana and stared in awe;

I jumped off aboard as I saw my little toy Orca swimming back to me.
