12 o' Clock Clouds and on the Street- Moonlight Letters
12 o' Clock Clouds and on the Street- Moonlight Letters
Light snowfall crowned the pine trees,
Squirrels rolled around in the snow,
Maple leaves flew in from Canada,
As I looked at the silver horizon, ready with my arrow and my bow.
I ducked as ravens swooped in from nowhere,
Their wings beaded with sunset dew,
The temperature dropped quickly with snowflakes in my hair,
As I pulled out an arrow and shot at the moon.
Leaning against a cold tree trunk, I waited for the break of dawn,
An icy wind brushed against my cheek as I tapped out the Morse code on my knee;
My eyes drifted up to a crazy sky brought out with spoonfuls of clouds;
As a letter fell at my feet.
