Chapter 21: Aiónios

Temporary Desmond third person...

Desmond Fisher collapsed of pure exhaustion after he blanked out with rage. He gasped and muttered some curses at the new fatigue within his muscles amd thought lethargicly, this feels worse that a hundred suicides... he slowly got up and looked at the assembled demigod with a curiosity etched all over his face. Why are they staring at me like I ate twenty chimichangas in one gulp? He thought as he gazed at their wide eyes for a few confused seconds. Then, everyone bowed and Chiron said, "Hail Desmond Fisher, son of Poseidon, the God of the Sea, the Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. And brother... of Perseus Jackson...", the centaur said the last part with a mournful tone which caused many demigods to bow their heads lower in sorrow. Desmond's confusion then started to show as he thought, how do they know? Is this a joke?

He was so absorbed in thought that he didn't notice when the time stopped around him until he looked straight at the demigods who started running his way paused in time. Then he tried to move and realized he couldn't. Panic started to rise within him until a warm hand touched his back a familiar figure came next to him. A familiar deep voice mumbled, "when time resumes... look up", then vanished just as time resumed once more. He followed Aiónios' advice and looked up and saw the remnants of a fading green tridant. So my father really is....

"lets... get you to your new cabin", Luke muttered as he steered Desmond away from the depressed crowd of demigods. The son of Poseidon glanced at the forest as his mind filled with questions before following Luke towards the cabins.

Back to original:

Aiónios watched his brother and his friend disappear from view and gave a small smile. I'm glad Luke has a friend who doesn't see him as the hist of Kronos..., his smile though slowly fades as another thought crossed his mind. He will always be compared to me. He will always hear stories about Perseus Achilles Jackson and his victories against Kronos and Gaea, and who was now unfortunately claimed by his enemy. Tragic like many and almost all grand heroes' tales. I pitty him for this... Percy sighed and pushed himself off the tree he was hiding behind and journied deeper into the woods. He felt every eye of every nature spirit and animal on him as he slowly glided across the forest floor.

Then suddenly, he felt the hair stand in the back of his neck as his hand crept slowly to his watch. He heard the slight twinge of bow releasing an arrow and quickly activated his scythe and swung it, slashing the silver arrow in half. He was able to catch a glimpse of a poisoned tip, laced with a sleeping agent made by Hypnos himself and he knew that it was serious. "Oh lady Artemis, why not speak to me face to face than shoot me like I'm a monster? Unless you think me incapable of human speech?"

He then heard a wish of air coming from another direction. He slashed his scythe again, expecting another silver arrow. Instead, he found a golden one cut in half. He smiled to himself as he just couldn't hold back the fact that Artemis and Apollo where hunting together and thaf was so adorable to him. "Awww! Brother and sister hunting together? How adorable!"

A blur of silver and gold shot at him with rage filled silver and blue eyes as he fended off two angery twin gods. "WE ARE NOT ADORABLE!" Artemis screamed in her auburn haired, twelve year old form which was very contradictory of her statements. "YAH! WE ARE NOT ADORABLE! I KNOW ARTY MIGHT LOOK ADORABLE SINCE SHE ALWAYS LOOKS LIKE A CHILD BUT I AM NOT! I'M SO HOT I'M COOL!!!" Apollo yelled as he continued to attack. Aiónios parried Artemis' silver dagger and disarmed Apollo's golden on from his hand. He then kicked Artemis so she fell on her rump and swept his leg under Apollo's to trip the golden god.

"I am not your enemy", the Lord of Time said in his deep voice, his eyes flashing with sincerity. Both gods summoned swords in their hands, a weapon Aiónios knew full and well that the gods where decent with despite being patrons to archery, and charged at him. A gold and sea green aura formed around him and pulsed outwards knocking the gods back down on their rumps. A shocked Aiónios stared bewildered at the gods, and didn't notice that another, black haired archer with a silver tiara shot another arrow laced with sleep poison at him until he felt a sharp pain in one of his weak spots and drowsiness came to greet him.

***

He woke to the sounds of shocked gasps. "Annabeth was right... you do drool in you sleep barnacle brain!" A familiar voice said as Aiónios gorgely mumbled, "pinecone face." He then jerked up realizing what Thalia had said and immediately tried to reach for his face, only finding that his hands where bound behind his back. "Hey Percy, calm down-"

"Is he awake?" The twin gods asked in unison as they poked their heads inside the silver tent. They where greeted by a golden eyed glare from a very unhappy bound immortal. "Yep, he's awake!" Apollo exclaimed as Artemis barged in and stuck her dagger to Aiónios throat. "Am I speaking to Percy or Kronos?" She growled, sticking the blade deeper into his throat causing a prick and some golden ichor to form.

"Both and neither," He responded vaguely, his voice calm and his eyes equally so. "Come on, I'm the god of prophecy and even I don't understand what in Hades you mean-"

"I mean, I am not Kronos, but neither am I Percy anymore. I am just the embodiment of time and the timless. Hence the name Aiónios. I thought that it was fitting..."

They all paused for a few minutes until Artemis finally asked, "so then tell us what happened to you."

So he did, the twin gods and the lieutenant of the hunt remained silent as the immortal told his story. Starting from meeting Luke, to his trip to Alaska, to Kronos slowly fading and to Percy keeping the Titan's powers. He hesitated before also adding his visit with Thanatos and how only Hades, Thanatos, and Hephaestus knew of his 'condition', "... and now you three know," he finishes. The gods remained silent as they digested the information Thalia, however, finally decided to speak, "so why didn't you tell us when you returned? Why did you make us think you dead? What about Annabeth?! Huh?! DO YOU EVEN LOVER HER?! DO YOU EVEN CARE THAT SHE WAS SUFFERING THIS WHOLE TIME?! YET YOU PLAYED HERO WITH ALL THE DEMIGODS WHILE SHE KEPT THINKING YOU DEAD!!!??? YOUR NO BETTER THAN THE REST OF THEM!!! YOUR NO BETTER THAN MY FATHER!!!!!"

That struck a nerve. Percy's eyes flashed dangerously as the golden and sea green aura formed around him once more. A sudden surge of strength overcame him, enabling him to rip through the chains bounding his hands with ease as he stood up. "You compare me to him? After everything I've done? After all the lives I saved? I could have been like them-" he said coldly as he pointed an accusing finger at Apollo, "-and watched the demigods die. But I intervened because I could. Because I care. And Annabeth? She'd understand. Understand that I kept my identity hidden because of the very god you accused me of being like!" His aura flared, sending off a dangerous light far more powerful than a god's true form. Yet, demigods can still look upon him without dying. Artemis, Apollo, and Thalia shudder at this, as they felt the flowing waved of pure, raw power roll over them like steamrollers. Percy, calming slightly since he didn't want to hurt some of the only gods he liked nor one of his best friends, realized he was sending off waves of power and started to try and suppress his power. He aura started to fade slightly until it was a dull light surrounding him. He glanced apologetically at the gods and the huntress and sighed. He rubbed his palms and glared down at the ground as he wondered, what in Hades was that? Then he glanced at Apollo, wanting to divert the attention of what just happened, and asked with a note of curiosity, "have you had any vivid visions of the future?"

Startled by the question, Apollo shook his head, "no, I've felt something big was coming, but no visions as such... why?"

Percy then described his vision he had when he was with Luke, the vision with the vague yet powerful enemy, and the army of aliens. When he finished, Artemis and Apollo paled as they glanced at eachother. "What is it Artemis?" Thalia asked as concern enveloped her face.

"There are only five that could creat such an army and hold such power. Abyss, End, Order, Beginning, and Chaos. I would wager that this being is either Abyss, End or Chaos since you are quite positive that they are male. Order is a peaceful woman who hates wars and prefer maintaining order within the universe. And Beginning, also known as Life, also loves peace. She feels so hurt when her creations die that she weeps for a few centuries before getting over their loss. So obviously not them. Abyss is the darkness, the cold, the suffocation of space. Chaos is the light, the stars and the creator of all. And End is the End of everything. Each of them have a reason to want to kill us. Abyss because he hates everything Chaos has created, preferring darkness and quiet. End, obviously wants to kill everything since that is his name. And Chaos... he could possibly have grown borde of Earth and humans or he might believe that they are too corrupt. And he'd be right. However, we still need to fight for what is right, and the few good humans that are left. Like your mother and Paul. Your little sister. But like I said, it has to be one of them." When Artemis finished, Percy just nodded and wracked his brain for anything that would help him figure out which Primordial would be attacking, but none would come.

He sighed and started pacing in the tent. "Oh! I wish I could have gotten a better look at the enemy! And... *sigh*." He flopped down on his butt and started rubbing his head. His brain then traveled to Annabeth, then his brother, then to the rest of the seven, then to all his friends. The two gods exchanged nervous glances as Thalia hesitated, she so wanted to hug the new immortal but also wanted to punch him at the same time. Im the end, she decided on just patting his shoulder before leaving the tent. "So, what now?" He asks the gods after a few minutes of silence. They thought on the question until Artemis finally spoke up.

"There are two options. We can go to Olympus right now, we can confront father and find a way to convince him not to kill you and then make plans and try finding out who this new threat is. Or, we can wait, try and find out exactly who is trying to destroy us all before revealing you."

"There are issues with both of those," Apollo replied in a surprisingly serious voice, "the first option will most likely kill Percy, especially since we don't actually know who this new threat is and he might assume that Percy is actually Kronos and trying to divert attention away from him. However, the second option always harbors that fact that we might never find out who is trying to destroy us or find out when it's too late to fully prepare. Perhaps you should try and find a way to harness that future seeing power of your's while I can see if I can dig a prophecy from my Oracle. Perhaps something will be cleared..." The sun god trails off as he goes deeper in pondering. Artemis, however speaks next, "the hunt will keep your secret safe Perseus, no need to worry. I hope you'll be able to solve this question of who is this new threat soon so we can prepare sooner. We'll try and find the creatures you saw in your visions and see if we can interrogate them to get an answer. In the mean time, and no matter how much I hate to admit it, Apollo is right. You must learn to harness and control this new ability and fast. You may go, and you'll be welcomed back any time."

"I'll also keep this a secret for as long as I can. Do hurry Percy for we have no idea how long we have," Apollo muttered as he was only half listening since he us trying to use his prophecy powers.

"Thank you Lady Artemis and Lord Apollo, " Percy stated as he bowed, "I'll go back to where I am currently living and find a way to harness my abilities."

Both gods nod and Percy decides that that is time for him to flash out. He reappears in his cave and sits down on the ground in a meditative state. Now, lets see about finding out who you are wierd Primordial dude who wants to destroy my home...

Sorry for taking so long, but school is a pain in the rear. I hope you liked this chapter!
