Christmas Special
"So you are staying in the dorms again this year Ai?" Lucy questioned as she and Aine walked down the halls of school. The halls were decorated with lights, tinsel and small Christmas trees on the top of lockers. The school looked very festive – the teachers believed they should have gone all out since it's Christmas and many students would be staying in the dorms, mostly due to having no family's or having problems getting home. Everyone in the school was wearing Christmas hats as well as a little tinsel in their hair or on their uniform.
"Yeah, I am." Aine answered with a simple nod as she and Lucy walked towards the Fairy Tail classroom. Lucy smiled sadly.
"You know you could come with me to the mansion." Lucy stated as the two walked inside the Fairy Tail classroom and then walked to their seats. Aine shook her head as she placed her bag down and pushed a little piece of hair behind her ear.
"No thanks. I said I'd stay here with the masters anyway and help out with the Christmas meal for students who are staying." Aine explained before pulling out a notebook and pen to make notes for class.
"You're staying too Aine?" Erza questioned as she walked to her desk and dropped her back beside it.
"Wait, Erza; are you staying at school for Christmas too?" Lucy questioned, gasping in shock as she looked at the redhead. Erza smiled slightly and nodded.
"Yeah, I am. Wendy is too and so is Yukino. You're the only one with the privilege of going home Lucy." Erza explained as she went through her bag. Lucy sighed.
"I wouldn't call it a home if I'm honest. Besides, it's just going to be me and the workers since my father died." Lucy explained sadly as another sigh escaped her lips.
"Oh, I'm sorry Lucy." Erza said with a worried expression as she looked at her blonde friend.
"Don't worry about it. I will also be bringing my Celestial spirits so they can have a little fun so I guess it won't be too bad." Lucy said, giving a smile that still showed a little sadness behind it.
. . .
Soon, break came quickly. The halls flooded with students in groups, all trying to go to another class, go outside or to their lockers. Aine, Lucy and Erza walked to Lucy's locker, discussing gifts and what they should get for their friends.
"I don't know what to get for Wendy or Yukino. Do you two?" Lucy questioned as she unlocked her locker and placed some books inside. Erza shook her head.
"No clue." The redhead stated as she folded her arms over her chest as she watched the blonde place her books in her locker neatly.
"I have an idea for Wendy; I just need a job to be able to afford it." Aine explained, holding a book and a couple of folders in her arms.
"We could all do with a job to be fair, but every job the teachers have offered us has been taken by other students." Lucy sighed as she pulled out a book and folder before closing her locker. She then looked at her two friends with her brown eyes. "Do you two have any ideas on what we could do? Maybe we could do a group thing." She suggested.
"I have no idea." Aine stated as she shook her head. The girls then walked down the hall, towards Aine's locker. She then unlocked it and placed her folders and books in neatly and began to arrange things. Everything that went to the top of her locker was thrown since she could quite reach.
"Maybe we could talk to Laxus? We could convince him to take us on a job with him again." Erza suggested, placing her thumb on her own chin as she looked down.
"After last time? No thanks." Lucy said with a blank expression. Sweat then dropped down her face when she saw Aine intensely staring at the top of her locker, almost glaring. It was like she was having a staring contest with the locker itself in order to scare it so she could obtain the things she needed. "You see, this is why you shouldn't throw stuff at the top of your locker. Now you don't know where one of your book is and it is probably at the top." Lucy stated. Aine rolled her eyes and huffed, almost pouting – until someone tapped her on the shoulder. The girls looked and saw Sting, grinning, holding a step ladder. Aine blinked while the girls had lines under their eyes. Standing behind Sting was Natsu, Gray and Rogue, who seemed to be trying to stop him, but at the same time hiding.
"What is that?" Aine asked, with an unamused expression on her face as she looked at the ladder.
"A step ladder! Since you're too short to reach the top of your locker, we brought you one." Sting grinned. Aine had a vein pop out, making everyone flinch back as Sting was frown into the ceiling. "Itta..." Sting groaned as he fell back to the floor. Aine turned her gaze to the three other boys, who were trying to hide behind each other.
"He said 'we'. Who was included in this?" Aine questioned as she folded her arms and tapped her foot. The boys turned pale as Aine became more impatient. After a few seconds of silence and shaking, Aine had enough and moved her arm up. The boys all went into the ceiling and then fell back down, however Gray landed on the lockers. As he did, a book fell out of Aine's locker. She picked it up and then closed her locker.
"Is that the book?" Lucy asked with a giggle. Aine nodded silently as she walked off, leaving the boys who were all in pain. "Let's go." Aine said. Lucy snickered at the boys as she followed Aine, while Erza rolled her eyes before following Aine. "A step ladder; I feel insulted." Aine huffed as she lifted her head up. Lucy giggled, however the girls were then stopped by Mirajane, who seemed to have been running after them.
"G-girls. I'm s-s-so glad I found y-you." Mirajane said, panting slightly while holding papers in her arms, sweat running down her face from running. The three mages looked at each other before looking at the young model mage.
"What's wrong Mira?" Lucy questioned as she tilted her head, making her blonde hair move slightly. Mirajane stood up straight, moving some hair away before smiling her usual sweet angelic smile that has a little bit of mischief.
"Are you girls looking for a job to get Christmas gifts?" Mirajane questioned, still smiling. The three girls nodded. "How did you know?" Lucy questioned as she raised an eyebrow.
"Well I saw everything was full and your names weren't on any lists. The magazine I'm modelling for on Saturday happens to need more models for the Christmas section." Mirajane explained, still smiling. "I'm not sure..." Aine said, thinking about what Mirajane might make them wear or do. "You'll get paid over a 500,000 jewels." Mirajane said. The girl's eyes widened at the price Mirajane just said, jaws dropping.
"What?!" The three exclaimed in shock, gasping.
. . .
That Saturday...
"You don't look that bad Ai-Ai." Lucy said, standing in front of Aine awkwardly. Aine had just exited the dressing room, wearing a short red dress with white fluff at the bottom, a short red hooded cape, a Christmas hat and black boots. Aine had a blush across her cheeks as she stood there awkwardly.
"Why did you have to drag me into this again?" Aine questioned with a sigh, showing slight irritation in her voice.
"A-at least we'll have extra money for Christmas presents Ai." Levy said awkwardly, trying to make the current events seem better than what they were.
"Ai! Your turn!" Mirajane shouted cheerfully, walking up to the girls who all stiffened after hearing her voice. She took Aine's arm and began to drag her off. Aine did try to struggle, but gave up after a couple of seconds. Mirajane was an S Class Wizard after all and she did graduate at the top of her class.
"May Ai rest in peace." Lucy and Levy said, preying.
"Is she going to be ok?!" Yukino and Wendy exclaimed as the two flinched back. Erza chuckled softly as she looked at the female wizards who seemed terrified.
"She'll be fine. She's Aine Chinami. She can handle anything." Erza explained, placing her hands on her hips as she watched Mirajane take Aine away, smiling.
. . .
The Monday After...
The girls were all sulking in their classrooms, heads on the desks, gloomy auras surrounding them. Everyone looked at them in confusion, until Mirajane brought a magazine to each classroom with the girl's payment. Although the girls were praised for their work, they were still embarrassed. Aine and Erza even left Lucy and Levy in class and went home due to them feeling 'ill'.
. . .
Right now, the girl's and guys were in a circle in the Fairy Tail Classroom. Everyone else had gone home for the holidays; however Lucy did stay instead of going to spend the holidays with the people who worked for her family. They were all passing presents around, and once that was done, they listened to Christmas music while hanging out with a few other students who stayed as well as Makarov.
"Ah, damn it!" Sting exclaimed as he was looking through his pockets. "Don't tell me you forgot to bring it!" Erza exclaimed in a whisper. Her, Jellal and Sting were in a corner, currently looking for mistletoe. Sting went pale when he realised it was gone. "I swear I put it in my pocket!" Sting exclaimed. Just then, he heard a giggle, as did Jellal and Erza. The three looked and saw Dust flying away with mistletoe in her paws. "Dust!" The three exclaimed, however they turned paler as soon as it landed in Aine's hands. Aine was shaking her head at the three mages as she sighed.
"Give it a rest. It's Christmas." Aine said with a sigh. The three had lines under their eyes, waiting to be thrown into the ceiling, however Aine only turned around, ignoring the three. "Wait, no ceiling hugs?" Sting questioned as he raised an eyebrow. Aine turned her head to the three. "It's Christmas." She simply stated before walking over to Lucy and Levy. The three females began to talk – Lucy then began to giggle evilly while Levy became flustered and began to wave her arms around.
It was a lively Christmas that year... Everyone partied, had fights – basically a typical Fairy Tail party – to the point they collapsed and woke up on the floor on Boxing Day.

Sorry it's bad, but I hope you found it sort of ok?
