Chapter Twenty One
Sunday Night...
"So have you spoken to her since?" Gray questioned. All the boys and the girls were on a Skype chat. The only ones missing though were Aine and Sting. They were on video call, however they haven't been on video call with Aine for awhile now.
"Yeah. She's upset, but she said its fine." Lucy said with a sigh. "I feel so bad." She added sadly. "We all do Lu. We shouldn't have done it and respected Ai's privacy, but we didn't." Levy explained with a sigh. "What's done is done. We can't take any of it back." Gajeel stated with a mouth full of iron.
"Would you stop speaking with a mouth full of iron please?" Rogue asked as his eye twitched, watching the iron dragon slayer pig out on iron he most likely took from the kitchen in the dorm building.
"Hey, where's Sting?" Yukino questioned as she noticed he wasn't in the chat with the rest of the group. "He said he's going out for a walk." Natsu stated, trying to remember exactly what Sting said. "A walk?" Wendy questioned as she tilted her head while raising an eyebrow. "Yeah. He said he wanted to get some fresh air so he's going to go for a walk." Gray explained.
With Sting...
What Sting actually was doing was walking through the halls of the girl's dorms. He finally stopped outside of a door that had Aine's name on it and knocked. Lector was with him, flying by his side. The door opened slightly and only Half of Aine's face could be seen.
"What do you want? Find out more stuff?" Aine asked with a frown as she looked up at the white dragon slayer, who was looking down with a serious expression on his face.
"Rogue." Sting said. "What?" Aine questioned as she raised an eyebrow, tilting her head a few centimetres. "My best friend. Rogue. He was the man with the past you." Sting said. Aine bit her lip and was about to slam the door shut, but Sting used his hand to stop it. They both froze as they heard a cracking noise come from his hand. "Ah crap! Man that hurts!" Sting exclaimed as he waved his hand around with tears threatening to fall out of his eyes.
"Sting!" Lector exclaimed. They all heard a door opening. Aine then opened hers wide. "Come in. Quickly." She said. Sting walked into the room with Lector flying right behind him. As Aine shut her door, Erza poked her head out of hers.
. . .
"Baka! Why use your fingers?!" Aine exclaimed as she threw a bandage at Sting. The bandage hit his head before falling on his leg.
"One. Ow. Two. Why did you have to slam the door so hard?! And three! It was the only thing I could think of." Sting stated as he picked the bandage up with his foot hand and began to wrap the bandage around the hand he injured. Aine rolled her eyes as she huffed. "So mind explaining what I saw?" Sting questioned.
"You shouldn't have seen it in the first place." Aine stated as she crossed her arms with an icy glare being shot at Sting.
"So Rogue is your soul mate?" Sting questioned as he looked at the small mage. Aine had red cheeks as she frowned. "You've spoken to Mira." She said. Sting nodded and Aine sighed. "Why can't people mind their own business?" She questioned. "So it is Rogue." Sting stated. "That's all you came here for? To clarify that?" Aine questioned. "Not just that." Sting said as he finished wrapping his hand in the bandage. He looked at Aine with a grin. "I came to help!" He said. Aine tilted her head as a question mark left her head.
"I don't follow." Aine said as she looked at Sting in confusion. "To get Rogue to like you." Sting responded. "If he does, he will on his own." Aine stated.
"Hasn't it been him the entire time?" Sting questioned. Aine looked away and nodded. "So why say if?" Sting asked. "I'm not the type of person people fall for. My past selves were all cheery. I'm not." Aine stated.
"They might have been like you." Sting stated. "With a little push, I can help. I've know Rogue for years and I know what he likes." Sting grinned. "I'm not changing myself for someone else." Aine stated.
"Does your hair annoy you?" Sting questioned, changing the subject completely. "What?" Aine questioned as she raised an eyebrow.
"Does your hair annoy you?" Sting repeated.
"Why?" Aine questioned.
"It's just long and messy. That's all." Sting said.
"It's hard to tame. What's this got to do with anything?" Aine questioned.
"Do you know any places that are open this time of night?" Sting questioned. Aine nodded and Sting grinned. "Let's go!" He said.
"What...?" Aine questioned.
"Get your hair cut!" Sting said.
"I don't go to any hair dressers without Erza." Aine stated.
"I'll get her then! Hurry and get ready." Sting said as he got up and left Aine's room with Lector. Aine just blinked.
"What just happened...?" Aine questioned.
"Finally! You're getting a hair cut! Praise the lord!" Dust exclaimed. Aine had a vein pop out and then Dust fell to the bed. "Hey! Ai!" Dust exclaimed.
. . .
"You want to make Rogue fall for her?" Erza questioned.
"Yes, but this has to be a secret!" Sting explained.
"And a hair cut will help how exactly?" Erza questioned as she folded her arms. She had come off the Skype call when Sting knocked on the door.
"A cute look will get everyone's attention." Sting grinned.
"So you basically want to change Ai." Erza said.
"Not change her, just her hair. It's long, messy and untameable." Sting stated as he crossed his arms.
"I suppose you're right. Ok then. I'm on board with the plan, as long as he can bring Jellal into the plan." Erza stated.
"Why?" Sting questioned.
"He knows when I'm up to something and may tell Ai. If he's in on it then he won't tell her and we won't die." Erza said.
"The president already knows." Sting said.
"And he may mention it to your little group of males since he's become comfortable with you." Erza stated.
"Which means Rogue will find out... Alright, bring him along." Sting said. Erza nodded.
"I'll call him now." Erza said as she picked her phone up.
"Ok! I'll get the president!" Sting said.
