Opening the fridge to see if there was any soda or beer left for him and his buddies to drink for the game tonight, Commodore was startled to see that it was bare. Thus, he had to get to the store soon.

As he drove his Honda Civic out of the driveway, he didn't notice that some guys were following him. The Lewis's lived in a nice neighborhood, so crimes were rare. That is until that unfaithful day.

As the traffic light turned red.on Willow Road, Commodore stopped his vehicle. He heard some commotion going on and turned his head to see that the same men who followed him were arguing with the owner of a local shop. He was curious to see what was going on for he wanted to be a Good Samaritan, but his conscience told him to stay in his vehicle and proceed to his destination. So that is what he did.

Commodore now has his load of groceries with him in the car and decided to drive back to Willow Road to see if the fighting has ceased. But instead, he sees several police cars blocking the streets. So he parked his car on the side of Trimble Street, which was only a block away from Willow. But as he got out of his car, he saw a missing poster of a gentleman who looked exactly like him on a store's bulletin board.

But the name of this person was different, Connor Louis.

What were the odds of that happening? Could this be a hoax?

Just then he heard someone's footsteps coming towards him.

"Hey, that's him! He's the guy that has been missing."

Some cameramen had their gear ready as well to focus on this ordeal.

Obviously, this alarmed Commodore, so he ran back to his car and locked it.

But when he arrived home, his house key no longer worked.

Perplexed Commodore, rang the doorbell instead..

But his wife would not open the door.

He caught her turning the blinds upstairs and wondered why Margaret, wasn't responding.

"Margie open up, It's your husband, don't you recognize me?"

"Go away, I'll call the police if you come back here again,"was her reply.

Confused about her outburst, he decided to walk across town.

He hoped that she would calm down soon.

In a store mirror, Commodore looked at his face. He wasn't the handsome Caucasian blue-eyed gentleman he once knew. Instead, he saw one who had greed written on his face. The face of the devil was more like it as if he had stolen Commodore's life away.

Later, the depressed man went inside a shop and the television sets all had the local news on.

This just in, the man who was gunned down earlier on Willow Road has been identified as 46-year-old Conner Louis.

Commodore tuned out, as he felt sorry for his doppelganger.

If he only stopped by to help that shop owner, Commodore could have made a difference.
