Chapter 2

~~~~~~(sponge on narrator voice)4 hours later~~~~
-Narrators pov-
"Listen up, brats!" Master Mockerov stood in front of the guild on the stage, standing on a rather thick book....that was also on a bar stool. (Sigh) poor  Mockerov.
 everyone's attention flipped to the little man, Natsu busy eating fire.
"We have a soon-to-be new member, for reasons you will later discover. But, for now, I'd like to introduce Aikko, who will be creating a team of her own."
-Aikko pov-
I stepped into the bright light of the stage, where everyone's eyes turned to me.
I froze up.
God, I hate attention. I thought
Composing myself, I began to speak. "Hello. Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I hope to make a very good impression on you all." I ended with giving them a close eyes smile.
Everyone cheered.
"Well, that went better then expected." I whispered to myself. "I thought they'd make a fuss of my eyes!"
"Hey, you! Aikko!" A voice called out to me.
I turned around, seeing the boy with salmon colored hair who was eating the fire.
Fire dragonslayer. Huh. Cool!
"Yes?" I asked simply. I not one for many words.
"You're making your own team?"
I nodded.
"But no one ever does that when they first get here!" He muttered.
"So?" I shrugged.
"But what if you can't get anyone on your team?"
"Then I'll go solo." I replied, making it clear the conversation was over.
"But-"
I sighed. How could this boy get any denser?
(A/n- ok bare with me. Let's pretend that this is when Wendy also first came to fairy tail, and she hasn't yet joined team Nastsu. Ok? Ok. U no likey, u no read.)
"U-um, ms? Aikko?"
"Huh?"
I looked over to my left to see a young girl with pastel royal blue hair and dark brown eyes, wearing a multicolored dress, with a white exceed perched on her shoulder.
"I was wondering, since I'm new to fairy tail, too, we could figure this out together?"
"Come again?" I gave her a deadpan look of pure confusion.
"I-I'd like to be on your team, I-if that's alright with you."
Hmm.
I thought for a moment.
She was a dragonslayer. Sky, at that. Powerful in battle, yes, but what she lacked in strength she made up for in extremely powerful levels of healing.
"Alright!"
Her whole face lit up, and she gave a light giggle of happiness.
"Thank you miss! Oh! And my exceed, Carla, would be joining, too!"
The exceed on her shoulder perked up at the sound of her name, and give me the once over.
"Yes, it seems that this girl will do, child." She nodded matter-of-factly.
"Of course she'd join!"
"Ya-"
"HEY!"
The boy with salmon hair pouted.
"Y-yes, Natsu?" Wendy, I believe, asked, slightly shaken at his outburst.
"I thought you were gonna join team natsu!" The now named natsu groaned.
"W-well, I-I was, b-but-"
A girl with shoulder length blonde hair placed a hand on Wendy's other  shoulder.
"Natsu, let her do what she wants! She's a big girl!"
Wendy's  bright smile seemed to return.
"Thank you, Lucy!"
Lucy smiled back at her.
"Don't mention it!"
"Umm, Aikko?"
"Yes?" I turned my attention away from the elder dragonslayer, who was throwing quite the entertaining tantrum, and focused my new teammate(s).
"If you don't mind my asking, what's our team name?"
"The Elite." I responded without hesitation. (You'll get that reference to my other book the girls revenge if you read it)
Father had always red me a bedtime story when I was little, about a group of all powerful people called 'the elite.'
The elite were my role models in every shape and form in my youth. That's why I chose the name.
"Sounds great!"
"Why, yes, it does seem to match you, Wendy." Carla smiled approvingly as she straightened up.
I liked these two. I was certain we'd get along fine. But, first thing was first.
"There are two important things we need to do."
"What are they?"
"Well, first, we need to bond. Teammates share a special bond with each other, and are very close." I said, as way of explaining.
"Oh! Ok!" Wendy smiled. "But what's the other one?"
"Well, as we need to share a bond, we also need to be able to fight well together, in sync, so to speak."
"Oh. But how will we do that?"
"I thought for a minute. "Well, first, I'd suggest we'd go and get lunch somewhere, seeing as it's about noontime. And then we'd go somewhere to train!"
Wendy nodded, consenting to my plan.
"But child, what about your guild mark?" Carla questioned.  (🍪Random Cookie! idk I'm kinda bored. XD) "do you have one yet?"
I picked up the hem of my sweater, revealing a silver fairy tail mark on the left bottom part of my belly. "Right here."
"Alright! So, we're all set to go!" Wendy cheered. God, she was adorable.
As we headed out, Wendy smiled up and me and said,
"You know what, Aikko? I really like your eyes."
I smirked. Well, so much for someone not making a big deal about my eyes.
